The app is good… in the sense that it gets the job done with the sole purpose of having customer be able to access the products and checkout without having to access a browser. But the UX/UI and the way the app is set up makes it a bit complicated to navigate. The placement of the buttons on the bottom as well as the menu layouts once clicking on them seems a bit too complicated when trying to navigate from one place to another. Some apps get better with some time but that’s only if the app is something a user goes to everyday. But an app like Arc’teryx where the user/ consumer only accesses it when wanting/ needing to buy something, it’s difficult to get used to with the layout. Would be better to streamline some things like store locator only for browser and keeping the essentials of account, product & help.
in regards to this app and their products. Not only do they think about design and implement into their clothing/gear, but also into the app. I can search, favorite, and look through their catalog with a breeze - it’s not rocket science. This competes with other clothing manufacturers app. Why others are not on an app yet is something that I question still to this day - it’s 2021 y’all. Get with the program! Thank you Arc’teryx for making such great products and a easy use app with no glitches. 👏🏽
The app has all the info I want about weight, durability, sizing, and usage that you would want. It allows you to compare items. Arc’teryx customer service has always been great at helping me figure out which item would be best suited to my body frame and usage. Some of the negative reviews on the items within the app seem odd because “fast and light” is just not going to be as durable as “severe weather.” But they still leave those reviews in there, which I think is great. Seriously though, if you are unsure on whether you want something ultra light or crazy durable, just ask. I’ve been wearing Arc’teryx for over 15 years for mountaineering, trekking, skiing, snowshoeing, and trail running. Two weeks ago was the first time I have run into an issue with one of their items from them, and the app made it incredible easy to start a warranty claim, which was completed in less than a week. I hope one day they will integrate their used and outlet shops within it, but until then, I am very happy. But please bring back the zeta!
For years now browsing and purchasing literally anything online has become easier in every way. And yet, inevitably I find myself frustrated by the little things on other sites and apps. The Arc’teryx app is crisp, clean, and easy to navigate. The product is displayed in such a way as to reduce many questions that usually arise. If you’re going to do it, do it right. It’s the basics, the little things that matter and if done incorrectly will create unhappy campers. Great job

Not sure what happened, but Arc’teryx went from being one of the top outdoor clothing companies to among the worst in just a couple years. Prices increased, selection of useful products decreased. I have a huge wardrobe of Arc’teryx clothing. Looking at the website now, none of the new products are worth considering. About the only things worth buying are older styles that have been around for years, but even that selection is extremely limited. The Captive polo short sleeve shirt was one of the best on the market, yet it is no longer sold, and instead there are shirts that are more suited for a runway model. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
The quality of your goretex is second to none and your base layering and even beanies are also exceptional. I made a request over the Holidays to find me a Dark Magic Jacket size large and within an hour, I had emails from two customer service agents saying they had found it. Awesome Service Thank you You get what you pay for :)
OK first thing, for the website and the app item should be marked as sold out or indicate that there are no items in inventory before you even click on them. it’s too often that all items in all sizes are sold out. Next for the app, we should be able to auto fill addresses and payment information using the Apple auto fill otherwise it’s good, nice app
I love this iPad app...very convenient to see pictures of the products, read about the technical details, check reviews, and purchase. The only thing that the app is lacking is the “Questions & Answers” section that is available for each product on the Arc’teryx website. I find this section very useful as I research a product, and I’m not sure why it isn’t included in the app.
The attention to detail and quality products that this company provides are beyond any other. The materials used will last years and get you through any condition that your environment throws your way. Highly recommend this product for adventure goers and/or those who want long lasting products.
Take money like you design clothing—quality and customer centered. It would be better to accept all types of payments, even if it’s a bit more expensive on your end, as the cost to inconvenience your customers is much higher. You do a lot with your garments that cost more, and why? Use that same mindset when designing your customer experience.
Found this brand couple months ago watching some snowboarding movies and so far I am really loving it i love the sleek look i only have a beanie i just got it and the fit and material is amazing lol but i plan on getting some snowboarding gear real soon wish i could buy everything though everything looks so dope keep it up!
Been wearing Arcteryx clothing and footwear and using accessories for years and they never let me down. They put a lot of thought, research, and development in their products and it shows. A little pricey but as the saying goes “you get what you pay for”, in this case, those words certainly hold true.
Great app...if only they would program it to turn sideways when you are using it on the iPad. I have a keyboard attached and its super awkward to use with the app (have to hold the iPad sideways, etc.) Also, would love it if they could sync your cart on the apps. My iPhone cart/wish list is different than my IPad cart. Small gripes, but the little things matter.
Arc’teryx clothing has been with me through some pretty rough stuff. When the weather starts becoming life or death, and the failure of a jacket zipper or down leaking could be the difference between me living and dying, Arc’teryx will ALWAYS work for me. App runs good no glitches and buying process is streamlined and smooth. Really enjoy the address lookup.
Been a Arc’teryx customer for a little over than ten years, been using this app since it was released. It’s convenient and easy to use, except for sometimes going backwards is a bit tricky, but the app designs and visuals are great, hope Arc’teryx continue to do a good job keeping their product at top quality.
My purchases have increased 100%, this app makes it too easy to buy things. I’m sure that’s the point, super easy interface, links to everything you could ever want right on the home screen, ability to add things to a wish list, what else is there to say? I secretly enjoy it but need to meter it’s use better.
Great app! It can be a little glitchy at times, makes me log in often, for some reason the favorites tab doesn’t always work. But very clean and organized user friendly just a few glitches. Would be very happy if that was fixed.
When I selected a certain product when using the mobile app, my screen went blank, then logged me out of the app/web site. I attempted the product selection several times.
If you want a primitive interface then use this app. One of the worst shopping apps every used. If you think that Arc’teryx is a absolute premium product, but has such an awful app, they really aught to invest a little money. Their app is just a badly made Webbrowser, that constantly gets stuck loading pages, does not work together with the password manager of Apple (Absolute NO NO) and is all in all clunky and very slow….. DO NOT US. I rather not buy anything than use this app. Just fix it and make it an experience!
The app seems to show products that are in stock more accurately. Just ordered a product that has been out of stock on the website for weeks but the app has a few colors/sizes available to order.
Simple and straightforward app. Very easy to use and I love being able to browse and purchase on my phone. One suggestion would be to allow me to save my credit card info to my account or allow me to use Apple Pay to checkout. That would make the experience even more convenient. Thanks Arc’teryx!
I’m actually really surprised how well this app is laid out and all the features. Makes searching for items very easy and placing orders simple. Honestly, I had an easier time placing my order on the app rather than the website. Can’t wait to get my gear! Thanks for the awesome clothing you guys make!
Love the company & what it stands for. To top it off, they have a user friendly app that allows you to favorite items to a designated section for easy access which I LOVE. No complaints as to the function of the app, very smooth so far!
I love this app because I love the gear. Though sometimes I’ll get item available on the app and then when I go to check out I’ll get an error and am unable to check out. Would also love the ability to ApplePay OR for the app to save my payment info.
The app does its job of browsing products and online shopping. Would like to see Apple Pay integration in the future and a 3D Touch/Haptic Touch icon shortcuts for store locator, order history, and favorites/wish list. Maybe even jacket 360° images in AR like Apple does for its products? Could also add Outlet and Used Gear into the app too.
I keep ordering this gear because it never wears out or fails in any way. I ski in it, hike in it, bike in it.......it is the best gear I own for any activity. You pay a bit more for it but when you consider how long it lasts, how well it wears and how much use I get out of a piece, it ends up being my most cost effective gear I own.
Questions about cookies, etc bring up the feeling that it’s just a store in a browser… but it’s okay. Nice to shop more quickly and efficiently than the site.
Absolutely love the brand.. but this app is terrible. It’s constantly cutting out, redirecting me, and slow to load. Today I tried to order almost $600 ski pants and the website said that there were less than 5 left. Once I got to the cart to check out, the app would not let me checkout and advised me to remove any item from my cart that had less than 5 remaining. Makes no sense!!! So frustrating!
I’m changing my original review since I’ve ordered more products directly from this app. You can’t search by size which makes it more time consuming due to Arc’Teryx running out of a lot of sizes. If you are counting on a timely order, it isn’t happening here. I’ll give you an example, I ordered a hoodie on Nov 30th and it still hasn’t shipped. I called and was told “it will ship soon” and that was 4 days ago. I haven’t even received an email saying they created a label for my purchase. Terrible.
Frustrating experience trying to purchase items that likely are low in stock, as the app is not able to provide a consistent view of what is available or not. Items seem available, you proceed to checkout and mid checkout they disappear from the cart. This behavior occurred to many times to be dismissed, and erodes customer trust. Arc’teryx app dev, please fix your eventual consistency.
Easy to use app, and every better customer service via in app chat. Had an issue with an order and was able to get it resolved in less than five minutes!
You just can’t beat the quality from Arc’teryx. I have the atom at the atom at and the proton lt. Yes there expensive but IMO they are worth it. The material they use, the craftsmanship and just the quality that goes into there clothing in top notch! Love my Patagonia just as much!
If you like the brand, the app is a great place for window shopping and info as each item has a description, materials, and care instructions. iPad version could use landscape mode. Apple Pay as an option would make the app better as well.
App works well but the need more pics of the apparel and more detail explanation of what’s in the jackets. I know these are made for the serious outdoors types that know what everything is in the details but for the people who just want quality gear.
My daughter loves the leggings and I am very happy with the way higher quality, durability and style of your product than other well known brands I have purchased for her.
App looks great, but it’s SUPER buggy! Won’t let me log in on the first try, every time I get my cart to bill out it either duplicates my order and I have to cancel on step three and redo everything or it says an error occurred and won’t let me pay for my order. I’m not sure arc’teryx want my money. Very frustrated and won’t be using the app until this all gets fixed.
App makes researching and shopping way to easy. Would like to see more photos or videos of the inside of the jackets. Great company and great products.
App currently runs in a loop on the checkout page for adding address. I’ve tried multiple products to make sure it’s not a stock based issue. I’ve deleted and installed the app & restarted phone. Still can’t complete checkout.
Great app use all the time to look up details on the worlds greatest gear. Very fast, very easy to use, love that I can save gear in the exact colors I want to view later on
I’m willing to change this review if app is fixed. Downloaded app in hopes there were more features than the web UI, which there appears to be, but at the time of this review, I cannot access them, such as favoriting an item. Every item I select to view doesn’t work. Get notification and a link to their webpage.
Overall it’s a great app. Needs a few small improvements to be a true 5 of 5. 1) The email log field doesn’t know it’s an email field so it won’t populate from the Apple Keychain saves. But at least the password field is done correctly so that will auto populate. 2) No built in ApplePay for purchasing. Seems like an odd omission. 3) Can’t make Billing & Shipping addresses in the Profile section. But overall, the app is great for shopping on your phone and having a wish list feature is nice.
