I have been a member of Ardent Credit Union, originally SB1, for well over a decade. This app has simplified and streamline my ability to manage my accounts from Day One, saving me valuable time from having to mail my payments, pay over the phone, or visit a local branch. There are no fees to transfer funds to pay credit card bills. I highly recommend this app to all Ardent customers.
The older version of this app used to provide a better snapshot for all your accounts once you logged in. As an example your overdraft or car payment would show you the amount of your payment and a due date. You now have to tap on whichever category you need the information for and then click on an I with a circle around it, to get to the information. That’s 2 extra steps for just one account, then repeat for next account. C’mon Ardent, you can do better. Make this app user friendly like it used to be. I realize your trying to improve the app, but this is going backwards. Don’t over think this just to make a change and say it new and improved because it is not. Over 20 year customer
This now had been happening for a while and it is kind of getting old and annoying at this point and very frustrating... the app opens, allows me to enter log in details and then I am just stuck on Loading Accounts window forever.. sometimes if I kill it enough times, it will allow me to get thru and see my balances; but the minute I try to transfer from one account to another it goes into the pending doom of Loading.. no recent updates were issued for the app.. maybe time to see how new IOS and the app can be synced best together again?
Can be better in some aspects, but they’re minor things
Been with Ardent for years. They’re app is getting better. I wish I could locate their routing number or my account number easily in the app, and transaction need to be more clear about who, where, and when the transaction took place. It’d be nice to have a notification pop up when you’ve been charged something on one of your cards. All these things are minor and don’t affect the overall experience of the app.
I’ve been a member since 1982 when the Credit Union was called SF1 and then SB1 some years later. I’ve always found the app to be user-friendly and informative. The latest update of April 2020 once again managed to top itself. I like being able to view my accounts at a single glance, on the first page, prior to going into each one individually. I love the Remote Deposit feature.
My main complaint is the set-up for paying bills; it’s not exactly intuitive. I once missed sending a payment because there is a “confirm” button, but another button for actually sending the money. Second, if you are transmitting payment online and it’s going to take several days for the payment to be credited, I don’t want to enter the send date. I want to enter the date it should arrive. Guessing the arrival date has resulted in late payment fees. The customer should not have take that risk or make that calculation.
This app is great ! I’ve never had an issue with it. It’s easy to navigate and simple to use such as tracking transactions or making transfers from account to account. I especially appreciate the option to send a quick message for when I have questions, someone typically replies within hours ! It’s awesome. Thumbs up Ardent :)
I have been using the app for years and with every upgrade the apps just keeps getting better and better. Easy to do all banking transactions without any hassles. I love Ardent! I would love to be able to use the app to pay extra to principal balance on my loan. Only downfall!
The app is good, however,I do wish that you could make an EZ payment from an external account a bit easier. It’s not very clear on how to pay with an external account through the app. Or at least it wasn’t very clear to me. It should be simpler to pay, just click on the loan and have all payment info embedded. Also, I don’t like that I have to enter so much information every time I make a payment. It should store most if not all of the pertinent information for ease.
Honestly (l’m pretty sure this is with every bank but) I wish that you could create another account to store money in right from your app and not have to go into the bank, but maybe there is a way and I just don’t know. Whatever the case, like that I can see exactly how much is in the acc whenever I want, and Face ID is really convenient. It’s cool for a banking app tho.
Ardent has been consistently #1 for me. I have been a member since way back when it started as sb1 fcu. The services and the people working there are top notch. In all these years I have never considered changing to any other financial institution. They continue to offer great services and great service.
I’ve been using this app to manage my accounts since it was released. The recent updates have definitely improved its capabilities. Update: since 2022, after a system update the app will occasionally time out and FaceID stops working. The only way to resolve the problem is to quit the app completely and restart it.
I really like the app but it would be 5 stars if they could fix the Touch ID feature. Changed to 5 stars. I love the convenience of this app and Touch ID issue has been solved. To the reviewer with connectivity issues- it may be related to “restrictions” you have set up on your phone.
I don’t like using many apps but at the time I needed to deposit a check remotely since the bank was not open at that time since coronavirus outbreak just started and this was the only way for me to deposit my check. It worked smoothly and I’m forever great fil for the app!!’
I’ve been a member of this credit union since 1989. It was great then and it still is great! I no longer reside in the Philadelphia area anymore but I never have a problem getting through to speak to anyone about my account. A+++ credit union in my opinion.
Third party app, the difference isn in the bank itself
Third party app used for banking, common app for credit unions. The difference comes down to the bank itself. Ardent has been earning a reputation for not honoring bank bonuses even though criteria (to which there are many) was completed in full. Bank refuses to discuss details of denial in writing, insisting on calling a branch manager. Poor business, sets the wrong tone and leaves a bad taste.
I use the mobile app on my iPad and iPhone for almost all of my banking with Ardent. It is easy to get balances, pay bills and make deposits. Moving money from one account to another is easy. I really like it.
I’ve been a customer for many years and have used the website for convenient and easy access to my account. Never once had a problem keep up the good work
Decent banking site. Seldom hit issues. Easy to use. One thing I really miss is the budgeting/categorizing feature we used to have. It gave a great picture of where our money goes. Yes, I know I could set up my own, but I haven’t done it. Wish I’d taken a screen shot before it went away.
Just to elaborate further on the title, I think the only thing I wish they enhanced for the mobile user is the visualization of statements, beyond a miniaturization of the website version. Also I think that the investment section should be somehow linked from within the app. It just makes sense to put them together.
My family has been a member of this credit union since it began in the 1970’s. We’ve gotten mortgages, bridge loans, car loans and numerous cd’s and IRA’s. The staff is exceptional and always treats us like family. We would not put our money anywhere else.
This is a really great app! You are able to do all of your banking with this app. It’s very easy to use and gives you all of the information you need. I definitely recommend using this app.
On and off this great site often ! Easy log on and you then see the accounts summaries right away. Bill-pay and merchant updates are a breeze. Also easy to transfer funds between accounts. Thanks !
I have been with Ardent for years! And within those years their financial products and service has been stellar. Ardent associates are professional and knowledgeable. They always have competitive rates!!! I love this credit union.
It’s great to be able to see all your activity. And my whole family has this so paying them or emergency we can transfer funds within minutes So yup it’s a great credit union
I use this app to do all of my banking!!! It is easy to navigate - very user friendly!!!! I love that I can ask questions and send messages. The mobile deposit feature is the greatest!!!
Great features, especially mobile deposit and member to member transfers. Great support team, if needed. Customer service with Ardent has always been the best. As a member for over 25 years, I remain a satisfied and loyal customer.
The new app has a nice layout that is easy to read and navigate. The only drawback I have is that only 6 transactions per month are allowed through the app, which defeats the purpose of saving time and having quick access to accounts.
They were at the forefront of incorporating features, not yet utilized by bigger banks, and continue to update their app and services to provide great banking. I am completely satisfied with their app and customer service. PS: I do not like writing reviews.
Please fix the glitch in the app in the remote deposit screen. EVERY TIME I try to deposit a check it kicks me out to the login screen in the middle of the process- between photographing the front and back of the check, when I tap submit, when I select the depositing account. It is frustrating!
I can do most of what I need to do on the App easily. Some things need to be fixed like ebill enrollment and cancellation. There is currently no way to cancel ebill enrollment instead i just keep getting errors every month.
The Ardent CU app is mostly a shim over the main site. It works well enough for you to do everything that you need to do. Ardent‘s mobile experience could use some improvement. That said, I love my credit union. The app does what I need it to and it does it well enough.
The Ardent Credit Union banking mobile app is intuitive and user-friendly. It makes navigating through a plethora of information worth the effort. Great job guys!
Love, love, LOVE it! Easy, convenient and secure (hopefully!). I can mage my entire financial life/responsibilities from my smartphone. From making deposits, transferring funds, paying bill, checking balances or applying for loans, I can do it all.
I like the revised interface, but still have trouble with getting into and out of Bill Paying. I like the scheduling feature of Bill Pay the most, and have not had any issues with timing the payments.
Not sure why I can pay any other bill in apps with a debit card or act #, but this one I have to call in and get charged a $6 service fee or they want you to do some sort of account transfer that takes days. I think it has something to do with boosting the number of savings accounts they have.
Love the app because it has pretty much everything in it that I need for mobile banking. Gave four stars because for some reason the app has an issue with facial recognition. But if that wasn’t an issue it would by far be 5-stars.
The Ardent eBanking app is AWESOME and so easy to navigate and is user friendly!! You can do banking transactions right in the App! You can also find Refi -loans, CD’s, and even auto loan applications right on the App!!
