AT&T photo storage

I just started to use this, but, I’m hoping that it works well for me because I have ALOT of photos to download I don’t want to delete them! EVER! I love pictures and anyone who knows me knows that I have photos of everyone that I have ever met. I have at least 10,000 pictures in my phone and the worst part of it is that some of the pictures I have in my phone are doubles, sometimes they are triples!! Like I will be going through my pictures in my phone and I will screenshot a bunch to show, or, send to someone else and then I forget to delete them from my phone.

Deleted pics from cloud when deleted from my phone

I uploaded around 3000 pics into a handful of new albums on the app and then deleted them from my iPhone’s photo app to free up some space on my phone. When I went back to upload more all 3000 were deleted from the cloud too. Can somebody explain to me the logic behind a photo cloud app, a service whose whole reason for existing is supposed to be as a standalone storage option, deleting your content? If Asurion wants to improve the app then 1. Ditch the requirement to auto backup. I pay for iCloud for a reason, I’m good. 2. Allow us to upload our pics to your service and then delete them from our phone’s storage so we can actually free up space instead of mirroring the device. I’m deleting the app and going to find another option because frankly this is just a very basic backup and I’m not even sure it’s actually backing up since it’s so eager to delete my content.

It works well… although I think it could be better

The app generally works well with little to no issues. However, I think it would be great if there was support for apple pro raw photo uploading. It was a little jarring seeing a majority of my photos not backing up initially. It would also be great to provide the option for the user to choose whether or not to allow the phone to keep backing up photos even with low battery. Overall, I am happy with the service. Yet, being able to share photos as a link would be incredibly useful and take full advantage of the apps storage capabilities. Seems a bit rudimentary trying to share photos from the app only to be restricted to a few at a time through traditional email.

Low resolution

I downloaded this app because it was advised by the AT&T rep. I had previously been using the Ever app to store my pictures - only annoying thing with that app is that you have to then email them to yourself if you want to retrieve them and it can only be done one by one. Anyway, this AT&T Photo Storage app has been a hit and miss - after a while I had to uninstall it and reinstall it for my pictures to start uploading to it again. My biggest issue with the app is that even though the pics are taken with high-resolution cameras, once they upload to the app they are super fuzzy! Being that this is an AT&T app you would think that it would be much more advanced. Also, live pictures do not save as live pictures, they just save as a blurry mess. I am very disappointed. Especially because a lot of those pictures I cannot get back in full resolution now. Ridiculous.

Can’t get in

I had this problem for a while my photos won’t back up and my photos that is back up is all black I was told to leave my phone open on my very last black photo well I did for 24 and that photo never showed up two I thought be great idea to delete the app and reinstall it no because now I can’t login it has a white box to type in your email address and a gray continues botton and nothing click but when you click on support and you can’t even get support because wants download mail witch I delete because of space issues and now I can’t download it back and now my picture can’t even get back up idk what to do because I really want my pictures but I can’t delete them and I want my old picture back

Updated review

My app had begun limiting my unlimited photo backup. I called tech support but they said they had no idea how to fix it. I then found an email feedback section under settings in the app and emailed the problem to that email. They promptly responded and were able to fix the problem. I’m also sharing the solution as this is sort of a hard root cause to find if user doesn’t realize the nature of the bug. At some point after app updated, it changed my phone number in the app to another number thus, when tech support asked for my number I shared both #’s I found. They fixed the bad number in my account, I deleted app, restored and logged in and it was fixed.

You Need to Fix these Issues Yesterday!!

I got talked into getting this app from the AT&T store. Thanks for the 50 GB. But the reviews are crap. I live in breathe by reviews and stars. You are more tan billion dollar corporation get those little tech people that work under you to fix these issues so we can get your star rating up and we can get these negative comments from coming your way. No one wants to leave a bad comment unless it’s really affecting him. Do the math. I’m backing it up now but I’m debating whether to just cancel the back up altogether. If I’m trying to cancel the back up then there is a very good reason for it. Please fix these little quirks and I can guarantee the bad feedback. .., lastly there are many cloud apps aren’t good... and the only reason I chose guy who has I was talking to,’cjn

If you like being tracked then get this app. It does not work

So I’ve noticed how much this app tracks you. The disguise it by saying, when your location has changed they will back up you’re photos, but why would they need to back up my photos which is already backed up. In my opinion it’s just away to get around Apple’s ATT. They disguise it by a setting called “backup on the Go” if it’s not turned on, every time you go the app, it will pop up for you turn it on. They give you no option to download over Wi-Fi. They make you turn on your location, and cellular. Or it will backup anything. I finally got the app to work once I did this. For 4 days it would not back up my photos. It said it was “back up in progress” but did not back up anything until I agreed to all there settings. Which is not right.

*** OVER ONE YEAR AND ZERO RESPONSE FROM ASURION!!!! 20 emails to customer support - not a single response - EVER!!! CROOKS!! ISSUE STILL NOT RESOLVED… I contacted them and they do not contact you back … they will only contact you on this review section… they make it look as it they are genuinely concerned and want to help… but they don’t. ZERO RESPONSE!! Afraid my photos are gone forever … incredible with the lack of accountability - like so many things right now - make promises that cannot be kept - they do whatever looks and sounds good and cannot deliver the final product knowing you do not have much clawback … it’s all so gross… Dear developer… why do you not respond to my EMAILS outlining the issue? Several have been sent … got nothing back from you!!! *** Review #4 - still no photos *** This is app is worse than terrible…

Black room studio

It’s amazing how I’ve come so far just from having a hobby to actually writing and making my own music. it’s fun give me something to do. during the pandemic, The hardest part of all our lives! But what I love the most is that I get to share it with Family and friends and lot of people I know. recording and editing it’s not that easy, of course that’s why my son JR my old boy, he’s behind all the music that’s been coming out of black room studios! not a lot! But well edited and recorded music. Of course just personal and hobby purposes only. And that makes me very happy!

First review

I really like having this back up for my photos as it allows me to keep everything separate from my phone manufacturer, Apple, & I also get more storage. In my Apple photos I just keep family photos, friends photos mostly. Once I know that the other things have been saved to ATT photos, then I delete them from phone memory. In my ATT photos I keep work related screen shots, copies of things I want to have access to, but not mixed into my family photos. I still edit both photo sites until I am 100% sure one or the other has my stuff somehow.

Photos were deleted without warning

On July 16 I received an email from Asurion saying "We deleted your photos" and did not offer an explanation after six (6) emails asking for one. Now, mind you, deleting them vould've been an accidental request on my part but there should at least be an "Are you sure?" option before actually deleting them. There is no sign that any of my emails were even read never mind responded to. After reading other reviews saying something similar has happened to them this seems to be a regular practice and the only way to get Asurion's attention is to write a megative review. This is very unprofessional to say the least. I will be using other photo storage apps/devices as I would rather not lose unrecoverable photos.

The imaginary file cabinet in the sky….

The AT&T storage makes me feel like I have a safety net that will always file and store for a later time of need or pictures!!! It is very user friendly but the work is almost done for you by grouping the items by similarity so you can go though those groupings and edit some more to save space!! This is a great service for someone like myself because I will not remember what I have saved in the past or already have a copy saved!!!

Horrible lagging crap

I gave up paying for my iTunes storage because I thought this app had promise. I’ve been using it for a few months now and he collects all your photos but good luck trying to access any of them… Unless you have all day to wait for it to load, and to be able to scroll through all the photos that are missing or whatever is going on with this app it’s just almost useless if you’re gonna offer people on your service away to store their photos at least Spend a dollar or two on development so that it works a little more seamlessly than this piece of crap that you’ve given us does I pay you hundred dollars a month for my service and you give me a piece of crap app like this thanks AT&T AT&T

It says that I still have 1 remaining to upload but it just sits on that for hours and never moves

It will constantly say that I still have between 1-10 pics to upload and no matter how long I let it sit there open so that it will not pause the upload it never has said that it has uploaded all of them EVER!! I have left it on the screen over night before and it still doesn’t get to the photos all being uploaded…I’m not sure what to do but I will attempt to get them all uploaded and see how long it takes me

Buggy & Not Organized

Honestly super helpful that it is unlimited storage but other than that it’s a very buggy app. Super slow to find a specific date. This needs to have a search bar to search for certain items and specific dates you want to see. Other than that it’s great to know that you have all of your pictures in one app. It’s just terrible loading them up and finding them.

New to app

I am just getting used to this app, so I can't Say if the app is good or bad, however my experiences will AT&T ( 28 years) from first apartment phone and to where we are today ...... AT&T is VERY popular in Northern CA. I feel strongly that the company will provide the excellent services I have always received from them. They currently provide prompt and effective solutions to the technical problems I manage to get myself into, and they are patient & cheerful (I have PTBI , Dyslexia and PTSD)) My ONLY question is what to do with everything I stored "in the Cloud" since That appears to do the same thing but charges when you use extra space ?????? HELP ????? HOPEFULLY 😗 please ? By the way I am sure AT&T will fix any problems with the program, because Unlike many other companies they have LIVE customer services representatives Who ask questions to make sure they Understand the problem I am having, then Clearly explain what is wrong and how to fix it. App is slow

I do not want to pay storage for my photos, therefore I downloaded this app and was very happy at first. I really like that it has unlimited storage, however if the app has a lot of pictures it will just crash when you open it, or the photos take a long time to load. I cannot even look at the pictures I have on the app because it takes a while to load each one and my battery just runs out really fast. It is really sad because I want to be able to look back at the photos I have, but the app crashes constantly. Does someone know if there is an option to select all photos and transfer them to a pendrive or something?

Space with easy access 🫶

Having the added storage benefit for my pictures and videos has really helped with organizing my photos . I can find what I need to see in my photos without being all over the app going from picture to picture looking for what I need. Anyone that has a lot of photos,should really think about this helpful addition to their phone. Devie

App deleted ALL photos no longer saved on my phone

It’s a bit of a clunky interface, but worked ok for a good while. But one day it randomly wouldn’t work - I removed the app and re installed to trouble shoot - and then all photos from previous iPhone were gone. Customer service was awful too. Emailed the contact, never heard back. Got into an IM through their website. She was not optimistic, but told me to submit a ticket. I did, but it gave no confirmation at all, so I doubt they ever even looked at it. Customer service person said no confirmation was normal, which is either a lie or they have an awful system. Beware… I recommend this is isn’t your only backup method

Not sure how this app has a high rating

Truly awful. Glitchy, took months to get all my photos uploaded. Half of the time you log into the app (if it lets you log in) it shows zero photos. Finally got fed up with how awful it was, and went to retrieve my photos. You can’t download back onto your phone, you can only request a copy of them to your email. I requested an archive of the photos, they give you seven days to download and then they delete them. The photos are saved low quality and the Live Photos aren’t Live Photos anymore. I desperately regret using this, I can never get my photos back, and I do not recommend it to anyone.

One Problem

Love having unlimited storage. My only problem is I’m unable to retrieve 4000 I believe 112 photos from the iCloud app. I tried to follow the steps and then it said it was going to destroy the pictures so it’s clearly frustrating you’re helping this matter would be greatly appreciated, thank you for giving me this opportunity to do a review. I do think that you guys give a lot to the customer.

Photo storage

When I fist had this app before they did their update and ever since then the app does not work-I called AT&T and they couldn’t get it to work and had me delete and reinstall and still wont work-I have done that several times and it still tells me it can’t download anything-AT&T said it was on their end a month ago and would have it fixed but still not yet...

Until they fix mine

Got the app, love how it works BUT!!!!!!! Logged in on hubby’s phone with my AT&T account info. Doing so created a back up of my photos AND his photos in one place. We do not prefer this as we each have over 20,000 photos and we would each like our own backup. Tried to help through Pro Tech app as well as phone and no one can fix it. Yes, I have deleted the app, yes i have logged out and selected ‘sign up’ and entered new credentials. Error message tells me that an account cannot be set up because this device is already registeted to another customer account. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!!! I want what I am paying for with my Protect 4 insurance. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! Five stars when it is fixed.

Would be 5 stars but—

Does it save my pictures? Yes. But when I try to organize my pictures in folders the pictures don’t upload. I’ve tried deleting and redownloading but then all my folders are gone and I have to start from scratch. For it to be so popular and widely used, it just seem crappy that theses sorts of things are glitches that ruin the entire app. I shouldn’t have to search high and low for my pictures! And, for “unlimited” storage, why does it load/take so long?! When scrolling???

Not Consistent … Needs a good update or something

I got this app to try to help keep my photos stored in one place. The concert was great because I was changing phones and I love being able to keep it in the cloud. However, I’ve had so many issues trying to back up my pictures. Sometimes it won’t back up the pictures, sometimes it takes a long time. Sometimes I just get fed up. I wish it worked as well as Google Photos, it doesn’t need all the features it just needs to be able to upload my pictures so I know that they are safe. Another issue I have is that I am not able to use it on my laptop. We need a reliable desktop version so you can delete and get rid of things easier or not able to use your phone. This app needs to be more consistent and reliable so it can my first choice for photo storage.

Needs update and more bug fixes.

Shortly after downloading all my photos and videos started uploading and it was working great then after a few days it got stuck on the last few videos. Quickly did a recheck and sure enough I do qualify for the unlimited photo and video storage as the app clearly showed under settings. So after a few more days of the app being stuck and no longer uploading I tried numerous options including closing all apps, restarting phone, deleting and reinstalling the app but nothing works. So I did the smart thing and deleted the useless app and now my life is so much better now with all the time freed up from messing with this.

Pretty good!

Out of all the iCloud backup apps I’ve downloaded and used, this app was the best. I needed to backup my photos but the other apps didn’t allow photos to be downloaded back in and the photos would also be at a random date. But this app adds the date of the photo , and allows downloads. It also shows how much you have until the download is complete which is pretty useful. So far no anomalies.

This is an amazing App and it has photoshop capability

What a wonderful product and applications I just uploaded all my photos and it’s already deleting duplicated and helping to clean and edit some of the photos! This app has unlimited storage, unbelievable and it came with my insurance package, which I would have still bought for my phone. I’ve been with AT&T since 2005, thank you for making my experience that much better!!!

Do Far Very Good

I decided to try the new AT&T service and so far I am very impressed with the quality of the projection of the photos and the process for deleting and making changes. I’ve been with another provider for so many years I don’t even remember when I started but so far, this is really great.

I got a new phone a week ago and now I’m having a hard time logging into my account. I have tried to change my password but it will not allow the new password to go through. It says the app is having issues. All of my photos are on this app and I would like to be able to get them and storage my other photos. Please fix the issue, this is the first time I have had issues with it.

Seriously?? I’d like to get this app but I need to know for sure that I will not lose my pics and videos of my grands. I’ve been reading the reviews and it looks like almost everyone is having problems with this app. Lost photos, days to download 3000 photos, very slow, can’t find photos??? Wow and that’s within the first 6 reviews I read. Give me a reason to actually use this app and a guarantee that I will not lose any photos of my grandchildren. Please respond ASAP! Denita

Took away unlimited for no reason

Used this app for over a year, and it was great. Woke up today to a cap of 5gb all of a sudden despite no changes to my account. Re-downloading 4 years of photos was incredibly tedious as you have to hit select for every single day. AT&T is now lying to me saying I never had unlimited.. So I guess I backed up 360+gb of photos with a 5gb max with no issue till the other day? Switching carriers today, AT&T lost what made it special (there were other factors as well, like taking away max despite it having been an incentive and part of the plan).

A little slow for me

It’s not a bad app. I create lots of albums on my Iphone to make it easier to find my photos. So, I love the fact that it even saves the pictures in the format of the same albums I had created. But, here comes the critique: don’t know if I’m not using it right or what, but first it’s so slow, and on top of it, you have to let the app open all the time for it to work. That, in my opinion is not practical in a time, where people like to be switching from app to app.

Terrible, I Deleted this App

App just doesn’t work, I took a few months off from using this app, mainly because of my constant frustration with it not work. Today, I decided to delete the app, but before doing so, I gave it another chance and once again it did not function properly. In fact, the very one time it actually did upload my photos...Well those photos are no longer there. At&t needs to revamp this app, it just doesn’t back anything up. I can go for days uploading the same one photo for two or more days, only to find out the photos are not backed up.

No login or register...

For much of the last year or so, have been trying to Login (known credentials) also with good credentials. Cannot get this app to work, so rather than wasting my time I upgraded to 2TB storage with Apple. On my iPhone X it was too quick and easy to make happen. There is something seriously wrong with this app, and this Certified Tech is NOT going to waste my time with it. Just downloaded the new version, but since the issue is outside of the app, I do not expect it to work. Update: Confirmed that something inside AT&T is broken. This app still does not allow me to login or Register.

App not responding

I've experienced lots of challenges with the app, particularly with unresponsiveness and occasional difficulty loading photos. The space optimization feature has not been very reliable. I've been using the app for 2 years and have encountered issues with lost photos, frequent shutdowns, and slow performance. Additionally, searching for specific photos is not very user-friendly, and the app takes up a significant amount of space on the phone despite being marketed as a cloud storage solution.

Hacked!!

I’m so glad I had AT&T Photo storage! My iPhone was hacked, my Apple ID stolen, and all of pictures and other information stored in the iCloud was lost. But because of this app I was able to recover my most cherished memories and photos. Thank you AT&T! Now I can start the recovery process and put this horrible ordeal behind me.

AT&T photo storage

Not sure if others have this issue but I’ve had to delete the app. 3 times and then restore it just to get my photos to backup. I have mine set up to back up at all times. They do not know why it does this but as of today this will make the 4th time.

Is it truly doing that?

I’m seventy-six years old and technologically illiterate, so I cannot tell you in technical terms why I have an issue with this app. I just do not know if my pictures are really being backed up or not. I gave it five stars because if it really is doing what it’s supposed to be doing, it deserves five stars.

I hate AT&T for this app

I made the huge mistake of tried to put my photos in here, I was trying to safe $1 a month from icloud. I created this account and I had never been able to see my photos, I wasted hours of hours and days trying to fix my problem and they never fixed it. I lost my photos and I still waiting for them to fix my account over a year and still waiting...Run from this app, run. Don’t even think about it, junk app and support, the worst service AT&T has ever hired. I’m even thinking to cancel all my accounts with them.

Frustrated

So, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, and it kept all my photos in the app, but it’s uploading the same images again. Like all of them! Please, there needs to be a feature that doesn’t allow duplicates. Thanks. Also, I uninstalled the app because it wouldn’t load a video that was uploaded (I initially deleted it from my device to save space)

Could Be a Little Better

Can take a long time to upload pictures. Sometimes seems it’s stuck, just keeps running without really uploading anything. Otherwise, pretty good. Takes away the time it takes to upload pictures manually.

Never got help.

I have tried almost every single day for seven months to get a problem resolved but not one att employee is able to resolve my issue. Very upsetting and do not recommend to use them to preserve your pictures with. use ANYONE else.

No good

I have a lot of pictures going back to 2011. This app downloaded the most recent pictures from the last month or so, then just about a dozen random pictures from all the other. Another poor feature is you have to open the app for it to do a backup and you have to leave it open to the app for it to upload anything. Try to do something else, no uploads. Forget to open the app to upload, no backups. I rely on Microsoft OneDrive to do automatic backups. This one isn't worth what the service costs.

Meh

I already have iCloud that I pay for and it works much better. This app worked fine at first (like 4 days) and now it won’t upload a thing. They just show the little arrow in the bottom right corner and it says x number out of x number are uploading. They never do. Been that way for 3 days now. We get this for free with our plan so at least we don’t pay extra for it. Probably deleting everything on it and the app since it doesn’t work.

Moving to album needs work

When I select a photo to move to an album within the app, only a few of my albums are displayed. Otherwise, I really like this app to keep my phone storage clear.

Needs to be offline

They should give access to see your videos or photos without requiring wifi or signal sure new videos or photos wont be downloaded, but that doesn’t give us a reason to see our old photos or videos.

Works great

Like the title says, it works great. I just wish that it didn’t need to track you to do it. I have it set to only get my location while using it, but I guess that since they track me over cellular already, it might be a moot point. Why make it easier to track me though, right?
