I always deposit checks to this app, the problem is every I make a single check deposit it always a “failed deposit” error. Reason: “no endorsement” even after reviewing my deposited check which shows endorsement, it would still show the same error. This should be corrected, very annoying to do it all over again.
I’ve beat myself over the head trying to find this feature in this app and in no way are you able to use Zelle. There is no Zelle to be heard of. Is Banc of California purposefully angering their clients so we can take our money out and go elsewhere? What gives? I’ll call customer service and let you know how that goes.
Whenever I try to open the app it says I do not have network connectivity and and just keeps refreshing even though my WiFi is working perfectly. This has been happening for about a week and I can’t even check my balance
This app is horrible, every timeI go to use it, it is just frozen, nothing will open, this has happened more than one time, actually several times. I wish they would update this app and make it user-friendly.
I’m having the same problem with the app giving me a false error message about not having network connectivity. Absolutely ridiculous, especially since I live in LA and the closest branch to me (other than the miserable incompetent downtown one) is more than an hour away.
I’m also having the same issue with the app either shutting off due to “loss of network connectivity” or not being able to log on at all. There is also nothing wrong with my wi-fi, only with this frustrating app!
It was fine in v16.3.1 in both iPhone 13 and 12 mini, but not with today's v16.4 with crashes before its title screen. Also, 6 Plus' iOS v12.5.7 hangs forever at its title screen. I already uninstalled, redownloaded, and reinstalled in them.
Currently I can’t even log in due to the app complaining about network connection, and before that there was tons of bugs. It’s my money you’re dealing with, I hope you spend more time on your security than on your UX.
Attention critics, haters, naysayers, review-poos and anonymous rotten app-lers. Don't knock a work in progress, intent on blah-blippity-blaming minor stuff on your nerd-o-code critique. The bigger picture is: BoC is creating what customers want: Ease and peace of mind. Forget the glitches on your app. They are fixing the bugs to make your relationship better with them. If you want.. well... Wells... Get on your horse & buggy and get ready for a hold-up. Chase? As in Chase them down when you have a problem?... Citi? Rhymes with... I speak from experience--a customer's perspective who has tried ALL the banks and I give extra credit to companies who do the right thing over the long term, with the good, smart people--rather than robots who go to their high-rise recharging pods. If you think I'm a shill for BoC, than I would be happy to talk to you personally. I don't work for BoC, but I know from where I speak. Do you?
After installation, call their customer service. They'll set the app to accept mobile deposits. The remaining gripe about this app is the limitation of only one user name per phone.
This bank has been sold so many times it might as well have a rolling video Marquis on its name plate. I thought Banco Popular was bad. With Banc of Cali they mis-linked my accounts and have only seven days of transactions showing online and on the app. All my auto pay setups are gone. The app neither allows you to deposit checks or make payments. The branch and ATM locations are incorrect or incomplete. Worthless! Their current billboard campaign showing employees with black under their eyes for football season might as well be every customer getting a black eye In California for this inept bumbling transition from Banco Popular. I agree with Ernesto go with Schools First. they have been a dream to work with.

It still is in need of a major design overhaul. You can get mobile check deposit but you have to call them and they will tie it to your account. Should be offered without having to call.
I had both personal and business accounts with Banco Popular. I was able to do many things like view all my accounts and mobile check deposits. With this app it limits me to just my personal accounts and doesn't give me access to my business accounts. Hope it gets improved 1000% asap! Very disappointed!
No check deposits, and you can only see the last 5 transactions in "Transaction History". It feels like the Banco Popular app from 5 years ago. It seems like the app was rushed and released much before it should have been. What do you expect when a bank gets bought out.
The redesign of the app matches their branding even less. Needs more functionality and still needs better Ui/UX design. Has basic needs on the app which I guess is ok.
I'll admit I'm probably just bitter because this bank bought out mine and forced me to change. But I gave you a chance and downloaded your app and I can't do half the things I could do before with Banco Popular's app. Greatly dissatisfied.
I enjoyed Banco Popular & the convenience of their mobile app. This app is horrible. Very limited & doesn't even offer mobile checking deposit. Very disappointed already with the change.
Everything is pretty easy to do....except: If I have to deposit a check over $2,500.00 I have to call the bank first, which is a nuisance. 2) the app does not have a function to tell me where the nearest ATM where I can deposit cash is located. Also, the function to transfer does not accept a cut and paste function, so it is cumbersome to have to write down my complex 15 digit passcode on paper so then I can input.
