I seems like every other time I go to use it it says unable to get what you need. It is not a good bank program they need someone who knows how to use a financial system to put it together. I figure it’s got bugs
This app worked great until an update in the fall of 2019. It seems like the first time I open it for the day, it acts like I have never logged in to the app before. Now every time I login, it wants me to go through a tutorial that I have already done. Even though I have my fingerprint ID enabled, it frequently makes me enter my password anyways. Whoever did the updates for this app did a terrible job.
This is a good, basic banking app. Day to day details, balances, bill pay, transfers, all work intuitively. But if you need information like interest rates, or CDs, you won’t find it on this app. At least I couldn’t. I had to login to the bank site via an Internet browser. Sure it beats going to the bank and talking to a kid over the counter, but my other bank apps include tabs to get to more detailed information.
This Bankers Trust app will typically work for a month or so without issue, but then the problems start. Touch/Face ID settings are remembered but then don’t actually work to sign me in, even if I previously entered my login the last time. Once I do get signed in, I can see my balance, but any interaction with the app will then sign me back out or show an error message. Fixing this requires uninstalling and reinstalling the app, which I think I have done 5 or 6 times now over the past six months.
I tried to login this evening about 7:15 PM. Wanted to send me a one time key via text message. System said they could not find my phone number. I have had that phone number for about 20 years and you have had it as long as I have had my account there. No one is available to fix the problem tonight.
Overall, app is very efficient and easy to navigate when dealing with personal banking information. However, very frequently when I try to log in with facial recognition it fails to work and it causes me to change my password majority of the time. Not sure if it’s a software issue but sometimes gets annoying.
I submitted a check for about $100 deposit and threw it away when I saw deposit received. Photos should be confirmed before being able to move on. I will get check reissued but a simple safeguard like that would have been nice. If it was going to get rejected, why’d it let me go on?
I’ve been with Bankers Trust for decades. I love banking local. However, this app is so frustrating it makes me consider moving my money elsewhere. I have no idea how it gets such high ratings!? It will work great for a while and then it will do things like need to authenticate over and over. It kicks me out or shuts down for no reason. Closing the app doesn’t help. It’s clunky and I’m over it. C’mon Bankers Trust, please do better.
For the last several months it keeps asking me to set up Touch ID, which I’ve had for 2 years. I always re-set it up; yet, it frequently won’t work. Also, every other time or so I access the app, it wants me to take a tour of features that it’s had for a while AND THAT IVE ALREADY TOURED. Not sure who updated the app earlier this year, but they did an AWFUL job.
Every time this app updates, it gets buggy. Always have to delete from my phone and then reinstall. This time, Face ID is only working about 30%. Otherwise, I’m forced to type in the PW, then it wants to give me an update tutorial each time and tells me Face ID is activated. So annoying!
Not a bad app by any means. Wish there was more security. 2FA would be great. Also my new phone seems to have broke facial recognition. The app is presenting fingerprint auth (which isn’t an option on the iPhone 14). Devs need to update the app.
Why does it ask me for my phone number to enroll. Then when I’ve give the number it says my number is already in use. I’ve had the app for several years without issue, now when I really need to use it I can’t. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Very frustrating.
I had no problem with the app until this update. Now it wants me to verify my identity every time. Then it still doesn’t work. Keeps saying connection timed out, and we are unable to verify your device. This app is pretty much unusable and a waste of space on my phone!
Constantly asks for my phone number to enroll and then says it’s already in use so I can’t enroll. Very frustrating and not convenient when I need to check something quickly. Considering changing banks because of this.
This app is absolute garbage. Constantly needing to reinstall and change password because of it. And it happens on sundays when you can't call customer service. You'd have better luck shaving a hungry tiger than getting this to work.
i love the bank, but the developers need to work on the app. It’s constantly crashing and saying my login credentials are wrong when I know they’re not, I have to uninstall the app and redone load which is a pain.
I've been waiting a long time for my beloved bank to bring out an app for my banking. It was worth the wait. This app delivers. I was able to navigate easily between my accounts and even tested out the check deposit feature. All worked flawlessly. And the search functions were spot on as was transfer function. A job well done. Kudos to the folks at BT.
The check deposit "feature" is so backwards and awful that Bankers Trust should be embarrassed by it. They updated the app to use higher-resolution images, but I have still never successfully deposited one check with this app. I really can't imagine a bank in 2014 approving this check deposit "feature." It is like going to New York Fashion Week with a collection of aprons made by a home-schooling mom.
