Worst app ever
It takes a long time to even load the logging in page. And when it finally does the finger print doesn’t even work! I have to enter in my password which is fine at this point because I just need to log in. Then whenever it feels like working once I’m logged in it always ask me to make up a 4 digit pin which I did at least 5 times already. And when I was setting up the account before the security questions was ridiculous! I followed exactly what it was asking me to do and it doesn’t work. So I had to keep trying and trying took almost 45 mins to get through that part of the set up. Now whenever I need to see my account I’m dreading to open the app. Before I wrote this review I just opened the app and guess what it was stuck on the turquoise page with the numbers on the bottom like ok when are you gonna load for me to log in! Had to uninstall and reinstall the app! Please fix this app!! The old one was so much better and faster!

The best there is and ever will be. The lynbrook branch employees is filled with professional and loads of love. They make me feel like I’m family. Danielle is Awesome. I’m happy to be a customer. Bethpage Bank doesn’t have any competition because there is none other to compete or compare with it. The staff is great and everything about this Bank, my Bank is so awesome. They are thorough, safe, understanding, respectful and gives me so much confidence to Bank with them. I love my Bank. My only regret is, I wish I had known about this Bank before Banking with others who were ripping me off $12 every month all because I couldn’t afford to keep $1500 in my checking account and my Employer didn’t pay by fixed/deposit. Anyways that’s then. I’m ok now.

Easy navigation but poor access on Sundays
My only complaint is the unavailability of live help, after hours. I. An understand if SOME services are not available after hours. However, unavailability in emergency cases, is hard to accept. This past Saturday morning , I found that my account had been hacked on line , from some ticket master location in California. No matter how I tried, I could not find a live person that could help me. The only live person just gave me a number to call, regarding card issues. That was no help. When I finally located a number to call for fraud issues, it was automated. It did not matter if I entered my account number or ss#. It said number not recognized. I had to wait until Monday morning to report it. If that was my last amount of money available, without going into my savings, and I happened to be out of town, I would have been in serious trouble. That needs to be worked in.

Oooh! The mystery begins
So we all know that new apps that are released with a LOT of new features rarely work well when they bare first released. So we will need to give this one a little time to be finessed and then we we will be happy. Call me an optimist...you are right because there is NO way that this app can stay as it is. It doesn't load, it keeps going back to the original set up request, then the screen stays black until you give up. I like that the credit card is included and the one time I was able to actually get in I found the setup was nice but there are so many different options it's overkill and confusing. So I'm waiting for the update because it has no choice but to get better!!!!

Frustrating Revisions
Should have left it alone. Had log in issues before which were irritating but now it’s downright maddening. Forced me to reregister several times yet sometimes the fingerprint log on randomly works then next time it doesn’t. Had to uninstall app but same issues when I reinstalled it. Now I downloaded app on iPad, had to reregister because it didn’t recognize my user name & PW. When I answered everything it said it wasn’t able to register me and that I should contact the administrator. This is ridiculous. I have gone into the branch several times already about these issues. Lastly, why does the revised app have smaller fonts??? Magnifier needed now. Ugh. Smh.

App needs work
The newer update it terrible. I have an iPhone X. Before it was giving me trouble to log in. Every time I used the app I had to do like if I was using it for the first time. The “name of this device” has my name in like 20 variations because it couldn’t recognize it. With this one update, the pin doesn’t show up, that means I don’t have a finger scanner only my face w this device , which doesn’t even prompt to work. I have to type my password a million types. Sometimes I type the password and it wants me to set up the device again. Login page and the loading of the accounts takes forever to load.

Best bank!
How many regular people can honestly say they love their bank. For me, putting my hard earned money in someone else’s hands is a matter of trust. I trust Bethpage FCU. From the courteous tellers and managers and even the customer service folks on the phone. I’ve been able to talk to real people, who really care. That matters to me. And also, I don’t pay to keep my money in the bank, I earn interest. That matters too! I’ve set up accounts for my children and other family members- I’ve recommended BFCU to friends and businesses as well. I get nothing out of leaving this feedback- I’m literally just an average person with accounts at BFCU.

It works
It’s not that bad honestly it works pretty good but I don’t like how they combine my checking into one view I like to view them separately without having to click into something i don’t know what money is in what account until I click into it. also don’t like that the current amount is bold and is the first amount you see and the available amount is light grey and second. Since the available is more important. Should really change could cause people to think they have more availed than they actually do.

Slow
I like that they combined the two banking apps, and I haven't had time to play around with all the new features yet. Main complaint is that the app just runs too slow. That stupid fade in screen so annoyingly slow. Sometimes I tap on things and the app won't take me there then tells me theres an error. This usually happens in the credit card section after ive paid my bill. Edit: app is still slow to launch. I've also noticed that the app works differently on my ipad vs iphone. Certain things that I can't click on my phone suddenly has drop down menu options when I'm on my tablet. Also can't figure out how to turn off the fingerprint (it makes my app take even longer to launch). I don't see an option in app settings. And I tried my phone settings and nothing.

Not happy
Not Happy using Bethpage mobile app. It tells me I have no payment due when I do have a payment due I tried to pay towards the principal and I wasn’t paying it early enough, so it wasn’t being applied to the interest. It was being applied to the loan, when the due date was the 26th of every month why should I have to pay the principal before the 15th? Also had a problem with fraud on a credit card charge my card $8000 in 11 transactions in one night and Bethpage is not seen that there was anything wrong with this???? also I was given a very hard time to get my $8000 back. Chase bank would’ve notified me right away of any unusual transactions. I’m paying off the car loan and closing all my accounts.

They don’t get the basics
While this is a good mobile app overall, I don’t understand how they miss basic requirements. I am using this on a brand new iPad, so maybe it’s me, but no portrait mode? Really?? That works on the web. Also, when I make a mortgage payment, then go back to the dashboard, it still shows the payment as due, and the funds were not transferred, as if nothing happened. So the dashboard does not refresh. Seriously? This is a banking app, it should be 100% accurate. Then try to pay the BFCU credit card, it attempts to open a new app, but fails. So I go back to the web I guess. Why bother with the app then?

Terrible
The functionality offered is good, but the app being so stunningly slow makes it frustrating and confusing to use. Startup is slow, logout is slow, and almost everything in between is slow. You can tap something on the screen and wait for five seconds or more before you even get any visual feedback indicating that you tapped, let alone before the thing you’re trying to navigate to appears, and sometimes, as far as I can tail, tapping a back arrow or other screen element will wind up doing nothing at all, but you’ll just be stuck on the screen you’re on and have to quit the app and re-launch it in order to get where you wanted to go. Bethpage is a great credit union, but sadly they are utterly incompetent when it comes to all things online.

Scheduled payments foobar
Can’t seem to cancel or modify scheduled payments anymore - just get a generic “oops that failed” message. Can’t find reports in mobile or desktop versions anymore. Payees on mobile is finally usable, at least - the cryptic short names are gone. But overall I’m finding the new version to be slow on mobile, clunky to navigate everywhere, and overall very frustrating to use. I am considering moving my direct deposit and bill payment to my commercial bank. New apps should be more intuitive and simpler, but this is a complex mess.

Doesn’t work
Two problems. (Using iPhone X.) Very hard to finish choosing security questions because after you select the third, the screen refreshes to show just the first two. Only possibility is to go back, which takes you back to logging in again and forces you to go through the security question thing again from scratch. On the second time through, I moved the screen up and down and finally the third question showed up again along with a button at the bottom to save. Buggy UI. Second problem is that you can’t actually select an account to pay a bill from. Once you bring up that screen, it won’t go away. So you can’t finish paying the bill. Come on, guys. Where is the QA? The old one worked just fine.

Old version simpler
I used to get my bills done so much quicker before things changed. What’s most frustrating is that now this whole calendar appears on top of the screen of scheduled payments. They've also taken away the PRINT button... I now have to copy and paste the payment screen into word to avoid printing half a page worth of a calendar don’t need! It would be better if you had the option of just printing the page your scheduled bills.

I like the app
I like this app the only thing is about the “pay anyone” option. It’s very tedious when the other person has to confirm their information in order to deposit the payment. I know it’s maybe because you’re taking security measures but it’s not a smooth transaction if it’s an emergency and we need the funds. Can you please look into this. It would be much better if it just deposits into the persons account. Thanks Bethpage User

BFCU - amazing
I generally do my banking at the branch in North Babylon and they are all AMAZING! The line moves fast and they have all the amazing features that you would get at large banks. From online banking to bill pay to zelle….Plus as a business when you put your check in you gets your funds immediately…! What’s better than that! Thank you to all BFCU family members for all of your help… Special shout out to ToniAnn, Donna, Athena, Chris, Shane and everyone else I might be forgetting…

Love the new update.
The new recent update just made the app even better. The interface is fresh and appealing, it’s a little faster to login and just in general feels a little faster. I give it 5 stars in terms of the app as a whole. Only thing I would say not a problem but a little kink is how slow sometimes transactions or pending transactions process so sometimes I have to wait to see my remaining balance on my cards.

Great but would love a face scan feature
The app hasn’t given me any troubles. I love how fast and simple it’s become to deposits a check. However, my phone no longer has a home button meaning I can’t do the easy finger print login. So it would be great to implement the facial recognition feature as opposed to or as an alternative to the finger print. The Discover app figured it out so I was wondering if it would be a possibility for this app as well.

I have loved this app for years. I made it through many revisions and it was fine. Now for some reason unknown to me it disappeared from my dashboard. I have to go into my App Store every single time I want to view it. One day I went to use it and it was no where to be found. I panicked went into my App Store and there was. It opened with my fingerprint like it always does but it will not stay on my phone dashboard. It is beyond frustrating!!!

Bethpage Fed CU open to all?
Had been looking for a Credit Union to refinance my car and heard about Bethpage on the radio. Open to all US residents? Can that be right? Refinanced my car in 2017 taking advantage of low interest & GAP ins rates and have been loving Bethpage ever since. I live about an hour from the nearest branch so the mobile app has been huge!! Also opened a Home Equity Line of Credit with them and if you have kids you gotta check out their Youth & Young Adult Savings Account 4.00% APY on the first $1,000!!

Locks my account out
I installed the new app and it’s a nightmare. It takes to long to load and when it does it does not recognize my ID. When it does it tells me my account has been locked. I had to call customer service twice to get it unlocked what the hell!!!! I’m a new customer and it makes me want to close my account. Freaks me out when a message tells me I’m locked out of my account. If it happens again defiantly closing my account ASAP!!!!

I had to reset my universal ID and password, when I enter what is required (account# and SS#) to reset my ID or password, it doesn’t even work. I called for assistance and was noted they will have to call me back but I have not gotten a call. They did tell me they are fixing a glitch in their system and it’s been 3 weeks and still can’t get online to reset my ID and Password. With technology being so crucial to our daily living, this bank is not doing me any good.

Please put Bill Pay back in the bottom menu
I use the app to do all of my banking from transfers to deposits and find it very easy and convenient. One thing that changed during the last update was the removal of Bill Pay from the bottom menu and addition of something called Zelle. Please undo this as it now takes 2 additional steps to pay my bills.

The worse
This app has some serious issues. I use this app almost every day, and all of a sudden, it says that I haven’t used it in a “long time” then it says that my account has been locked because I put in the wrong password. First of all the password is NOT wrong, and it does this almost every 6 months, and you are left with having to make another password because you WILL NOT able to log in

Not able to use
I have downloaded this app months ago and it keeps telling me that my credentials are not recognized. I inquired at my local Branch and was told that not everyone was switched over to the new app yet but should be by the end of February. Well here it is March 2 and i still cannot use the app. Everyone else I know never received a notification and can use the new app. What gives?

I like the app but always have a verification problem
I use my app often and sometimes just view the balance snapshot. However when I want to login and use my credentials (especially without WiFi) I have to use the verification method via text or call. But I have to put a device name and each time I put a name, it tells me this device already exists and I can’t sign in. How can the app recognize my phone on and off WiFi?

Bank is great... app leaves a bit to be desired
As i said the bank i have no qualms with the app i find is convenient but sometimes doesnt cut it. Since the update i cannot log in. Also i really do not like the limit of 1k being able to transfer using zelle. Now since i have linked my zelle account to my this app i can no longer use the zelle app and im limited to 1k a month. I live in NY money needs to be sent all the time a limit to how i choose to send and receive funds is unacceptable.

Awful layout. Makes me have to turn the ipad/iphone to access this lousy app. That in itself is just stupid. Everything about it is cumbersome and the layout is completely complicated. Everything is all over the place and there is so much unnecessary information, such as last log on, where, when, etc. not needed in a mobile app. Things are placed everywhere and not easy to navigate. The log on process is time consuming and hard to see while on a phone. Then it crashes and you have to start over. I am seriously willing to close my account because this app is that bad.

Can’t access my account in foreign country.
Absolutely ridiculous! Cannot make a transfer, or do anything within my account because I can’t login. I cannot login because the only 2FA option available is either by SMS or by phone call. My cell service provider does not offer any service here or even roaming. So there is no way for me to access my accounts, and it cost too much to call bethpage from a international number. Why in the world don’t you offer 2FA via an authenticator app? I think I’m closing my account if this issue is not resolved. Absolutely ridiculous…

Good but could can be better
Bethpage app works good about 7.5 out of 10. It sometimes will pause for periods of like 1 min or so which is a lot when you are just staring at the screen waiting to use it. Some times has error messages to try again but then actually captures what you were doing. Sometimes takes a bit longer than normal to sign in. This is all small stuff which is why I say it’s good but can be better.

Thank god for real people
For some reason my account got locked out on the online banking platform and trying to contact Member Services by requesting a call back when I gave my phone number was useless for three days because I never got a callback. So I had to visit the Port Jefferson branch to have a real person get my account unlocked.

Horrible!
The “improvements” have turned a wonderful, easy to use app into a cumbersome, time consuming nightmare. Have used the bill pay feature for years and loved it. All payees and scheduled payments on one page. Easy to go to history of any payments from that page. Now must go to payees one by one, doubling the time it takes to pay bills. Scheduled payments are on a separate page and the total scheduled is not provided. I can understand wanting to make the sign in procedure more secure but don’t understand why they had to ruin everything else to do it. I’m ready to change to a different credit union!

Worst worst worst
App is SLOWWW as crap . Then ever so often i CANT access my account with my fingerprint they actually want my password . Guess what ?! Everytime the fingerprint phase is done and i need to put in my password i dont friggin KNOW it . I have to change it everyyyy other month. Annoying . Inconvenient . And its alwayssssss updating at the times i need it . Dont bother . Might as well waste the gas and go there ... friggin technology 😤

Doesn’t work on iPhone 6
It was very easy to use. Easy check deposit. The only problem is, that the app is not working on my phone, and the update requires iOS 13 or higher. I’m not getting a new phone just for this app, so I will call the bank to check the balance or make a transfer.

I like it. Don’t love it.
Some of the features are great, but the glitches have to be addressed. The check deposit has been upgraded nicely, but the bill pay locks up as you go thru selections. So when I go to choose the date to pay a bill, I can’t minimize the screen. Another example, the face sign in works great, but sometimes it freezes during sign in and it needs to be closed completely. When I try again it works like a charm. Fix these things and it’s a five star app.

Great app, few issues
Very convenient and straightforward app. I am able to get all of my banking done from the app. However, PLEASE LET US VIEW DEPOSITED CHECK IMAGES!!! Virtually every other bank app has the ability to view check images, deposit and withdrawal ticket images, etc. for the last several years.

Bad
Used to love how convenient this app was. Now that you’ve updated the capturing option for depositing checks, it doesn’t work. Won’t even recognize that there’s a check in front of it half the time and thinks the back of my check is the front. Extremely frustrating considering I depend on the functionality of this app and don’t have time to physically go in and deposit my checks, not to mention it used to work completely fine. Will not be using until there’s a new update, although every update there’s been has just made this app function worse and worse.

Long Time Relationship
I’ve been with BFCU since 1986 and I can’t imagine banking anywhere else. I love how issues are resolved immediately and when I visit New York there are branches all over Long Islander that I can go to. I appreciate the acknowledgment of my long time relationship, it shows that BFCU cares about its customers.

Great app. Better loan support?
Love the clean, easy to use interface. The only downside is there seems to be no way to see how a loan payment is broken down (principal/interest) in the mobile app or the mobile website. This is possible only in the desktop website. If this was fixed, this would be a 5-star app!

Useless banking app!
Might as well use cash unless you like keeping pencil and paper on you all of the time, it doesn’t keep an accurate balance! You can wait a week for your transactions to finally show up,... where’s the pending transactions updates, sleeping?! This app takes forever to load, drops when you change accounts, and will make you overdraw your account, .... whenever it feels like. The old original app worked great, what happened?! The bank is great, but you’re better to use cash than their debit card, unless you like paying overdraft fees!

Does not cooperate
75% of the time when i try to use the app it does not take me to my account page. I will enter my password or even use my fingerprint and it will freeze or just continue to the next screen. I try to close and reopen the app each time to get to the screen with my accounts but that is an inconvenience and recently even that technique hasn’t been working for me.

I like it but...
So I really like what they are trying to do here, the interface is clean and easy to use/understand. They also added in every feature I could want, I love that my BFCU credit card info is in the same place now. That all being said the app is painfully slow a lot of the time and sometimes I press a button and nothing happens or nothing loads. Also since the December 14 update the app stopped working, when I open it the log in text boxes fail to load, I just get the blue/green screen.

You need to fix this garbage. It takes forever to load, the login page is a pain in the neck, you took away the recent transaction viewer without logging in and to make matters worse, my Juan’s and I can no longer see all of our accounts based on who the primary is on said account. I love upstate and o stayed with BFCU, even though there is not a single branch up here because you have fantastic customer service and I’ve banked with you for several decades. Please fix these issues. Thank you!!!

Loading and errors
This was great easy to work with, the new layout looks good too but ever since that update came it really slowed down the app, it takes longer to load you bank info than it should and started to notice so many loading errors here an there. Hopefully these issues get resolved because the online banking from Bethpage is probably one of the best ones I ever used before these problems came in.

I want to like it
I am happy that Bethpage is finally offering a mobile application. The good: there is touch login for the iPhones still with a home button. Great menus. The bad: the if the app is backgrounded it logs you out with the touch login not available. (Inconvenient when looking up information) crashes when I try to pay my credit card. (Via going from the credit card display to the “pay now” option. My wife suspects this is because I didn't add payment information in yet. Other avenues to pay the credit card ask for information such as routing number which should net be an issue if I am paying from my Bethpage Credit Union checking account. Theres no easy dropdown for this option. Its a nice early attempt, but this needs to improve as its still not very usable for me yet.

Use of Bethpage App
Can be very useful for when you want to quickly check the balance your bank accounts. Although, I would prefer if the pending transaction thing wasn’t a feature in either the app or the website.

Great app!
We’ve been with BFCU since 1979 when you had to work for certain companies (Grumman) in order to have an account! We moved out of NY in 1999 and kept BFCU. This app makes it VERY easy to do all our banking. I no longer need to go to a shared branch to do anything! LOVE IT!! The camera capture for deposits can be a little finicky, but still deserves 5 stars.

‘Upgrade’ is getting worse as member is using it
The list is very long of all the issues that now make it cumbersome to perform transactions that were once simple on the old app and UI. This new app/UI is inferior and I am losing faith in this credit union as members are regression testing finding features that were removed, and many clicks to navigate to find and perform transactions. If I could give zero stars I would! I’ve already written to Digital Strategy and apologies for growing pains on the new app is not good enough! How many emails can members write before they start losing members?
