Glad to have an alternative to the NYT which is only once a day. But there are a couple of very basic things that are lacking in this game. 1) the accuracy of finger taps on iPhone is terrible. Constantly having to press a letter 2-3 times to get it to register. 2) the visibility of which letters have already been used vs those that have not. The contrast between used and unused letters is almost imperceptible unless brightness is turned up, and even then, it’s annoying. The distinction between used and unused letters should be made obvious. Can’t recommend this game unless these two basic things are improved
I enjoy the scam and I was fine to pay the $.99 to have full access to it, but I did that on my iPad and it’s now telling me I have to pay for the game again on my iPhone even though I have rebooted it and tried to sync my purchases. That’s very annoying.
Good brain exercise. As satisfying as in NYTimes. I wish the colors for played letters was more distinct from I played letters. And I wish there was a way to save played games and solutions.
fun concept, i like the nyt and their puzzles and wanted more gameplay. but this app you get for free and the have to subscribe to play more than five games! if i really wanted to pay for this game i would just go on the official website.
Box of Letters is a word game inspired by the Letter Boxed game from the New York Times. Playing Box of Letters is simple. The goal is to create a series of words that collectively use all 12 letters on the display. The rules are: 1) The last letter of a word becomes the first letter of the next word. 2) Consecutive letters cannot be from the same side of the box. 3) Letters can be used more than once. 4) Words must be at least 3 letters long. 5) The puzzle should be solved in 6 or fewer words. Over 30,000 different games are available.
