The icon for iPad does not match what is displayed in the iTunes Store. Also the function icons inside the app do not line up. The actual profile pages are great and totally look like the desktop website. Great job.
I’ve used Breeze CHMS with two different jobs now and find it very user friendly. Even for non tech folks. I’ve been able to customize our donor pages and provide links and QR codes for each of our major programs. Congregants of all ages and tech abilities give great feedback on this feature. We appreciate the app as an easy way to access our data when we aren’t in the office. And sometimes when I’m at my desk it’s easier to look something up fast in the app than on the desktop. Keep up the great work! We love the innovation even if some of the new features aren’t a good fit for our community.
breeze has been the easiest date base we have had and we have used three different ones in our church that i’m aware of. Email your ministry groups easy! text if you need too it’s extra after so many so we do not use this feature much. easy i put for adding new members. love this we have not used the Financial as we have someone else using another program and they don’t want to change at this time but I’m open to it in the future.
I've used numerous church management applications over the years. When you have an app introduced with a web-based application you don't want to have an entirely different navigation style. Breeze has taken their game to a new level with this. Along with their customer support (which is nothing short of stellar) and low cost, Breeze is THE best church management software on the market. With the introduction of this iPhone/iPad app it just keeps getting better.
Breeze is a great, user-friendly church management software that offers customization in a clean, straightforward interface. The app is just like the web access, only designed in app format. Fantastic! I went with Breeze originally even though they didn't have an app because what they offered worked so well. And now there's an app which make mobile access even easier. Nice work, Breeze team!!
I want to like Breeze, I really do. But I don't. Finding your church specific Breeze link is a pain if you don't know it already, the app search function is extremely slow, and none of the features are intuitive. Our church is constantly having to provide guides on how to actually use any of the functions, and thus people rarely are enthusiastic or willing to use Breeze. We end up using email instead, which was what we were hoping to avoid by using a church management software.
Breeze chms continues to deliver top notch customer service, a quality management software, competitive updates and expansions to what Breeze does in comparison with other managements resources. Best of all all this superb simplicity for the average Joe! I highly recommend that every ministry underneath 1000 donors give this system a try. Once you do, you'll never go back. Thank you, Breeze for making our admin life a breeze!
Potentially helpful database for Church administrations. A lot of really good features. A deathblow for this app is how incredibly SLOW it is. Sluggishness causes it to feel as though it is not working and ineffective when in reality it’s just taking a very long time for the app to be responsive. I imagine this loses a lot of individuals needing to use the app for mobile purposes. Developers need to solve this ASAP as this is a massive stand out from other far less professional apps that move lightning fast in comparison.
The database is nice with a number of flexible features. The debilitating aspect is the speed. I know the story of the tortoise and the hare, but in the digital world it is very helpful for an app to load quickly and efficiently. It would also be nice if there was a “swipe” feature where one could swipe from one member to another who share common designations (eg. birthdays, membership, street address).
First off if you want to say you’re the “world’s easiest web based church management software” and imply that everyone else pales in comparison, at least have enough foresight to update this app every now and again! It’s not even optimized for those of us using a later model of iPhone. The app doesn’t fill the screen, it’s extremely slow, and constantly disconnecting! We always have to use the browser, because our church services would fail if we used the app. Update this and make it faster please!
All the features work on this app except for the “Giving” feature. The app logo doesn’t match the web logo so this was extremely hard to find. More time is obviously given to web development than app development. Overall the app gets the job done but I’m not overly satisfied. Love the ease of use on the web though.
Unable to upload profile pic. Sorted by individual persons rather than by family...so you have many “Smiths” and you don’t know how and if they are related. Having to log in every time you use it is annoying. Apple Touch ID would be a great addition, but it has been suggested over a year ago and it’s not available which indicates the developer is not listening to customers. The better app is “Instant Church Directory.”
I can’t speak on if it’s supported on iPhone X but on my Xs Max it looks really bad with black bars on the top and bottom. Interface is older looking kinda confusing, limited, and takes awhile to load. When it does load and you know the interface it does a good job doing what you ask... from what you’re allowed to ask it to do that is.
The breeze program is a very good resource on a DESKTOP, but this app opens so slowly that many of our members have stopped using it. I timed it today and it was nearly 3 minutes on my iPhone 14. Brutal. Also there has not been an update to the app software in over a year. With all phone operating systems constantly evolving my concern for this Breeze app to continue to work is growing….
I’ve been using it of over 5 yrs now and the ease of use is definitely great. Pricing is also better than most. Looking forward to them fixing issue with slowness.
iOS interface reflects the same problem as the web interface: slow to the point of uselessness. Cellular connectivity is even worse, and a 4G connection may as well be offline. Inexcusable for a paid software service, and doubly so for a service that has the temerity to up its flat rate by 30%. Someone at Breeze is out of touch.
First, it should be pointed out that this app hasn’t been updated in 2 years. The UI is dated-looking, editing text is arduous, the scrolling function is inconsistent and the menus are cumbersome. It is basically good as a reference tool, but not as a functional tool for efficiency. Until it’s updated or more attention is given to the app, I suggest you do all work on a desktop/laptop on Breeze’s site.
So this version of breeze “works”, but it is much slower and lacks optimization compared to the browser version. This is disappointing as the whole point of an app is to streamline a software’s operation and productivity. Please heavily invest in this app as it would be much nicer to run on phones and tablets rather than a bunch of computers. (Yes, I know I can technically use a mobile browser but that is equally as slow).
Navigation allows user to get lost as consistency of UI elements is missing. Authentication shows multi tenet implementation to user. Sure, first time app is used, find out what church they are logging into, but not every time. No face or Touch ID support, so credentials need to be typed every time. People searching and tags are disjoint. Searching is a weak feature which could be improved by adopting better backend technology (e.g., Elasticseach). Save a person or group (i.e., tag) to Contacts isn’t supported. Did not see Apple Pay support for giving. Events should be integrated with iOS Calendar to take advantage of iOS Calendar features and integrations (e.g., Maps).
We are so excited about this new app! We will be introducing it to all our Life Group Leaders at our training this month! Breeze has helped streamline a number of our systems at Hilltop Church. Jon VerLee has been great to work with and very helpful!
We search for other companies before we decided to go with Breeze. We came to the conclusion that Breeze was the best considering what it does and the price. I definitely recommend Breeze.
Happy so far with this app and online platform. One helpful and secure feature would be to incorporate the Apple Touch ID into the app as one extra layer of security - it could be on an opt-in basis.
It has great options for communication and attendance. It would be a great tool but it rarely works. This morning I tried to open it three times. I waited 10 minutes and it never loaded. I have the updated app. It still doesn’t work. Very disappointed.
We use breeze at our church and while I love the desktop UI, the app is slow, unresponsive at times, and overall just a burden to use. I can access what I need to usually, but the experience is clunky and outdated. Hope to see an update soon!
I just came to read the reviews because I felt that the app was so slow, and I have just discover that it is not just my phone. It needs some improvement. I am surprise that it hasn’t been upgraded after all these years.
Its so hard to complete my follow ups because the app is incredibly slow. If I type a word, it takes about 20 seconds to finally finish typing. This only happens with the Breeze app.
Well, the app is very useful for me since I work at my church, but when I try to enter my profile to make edits, I’m encountering a blank screen. It is also just generally slow.
It worked fine for about 2 months & now I can’t seem to get my breeze to work properly. When I click the app, my screen is white and I have no options. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling and nothing helps.
Great service. Decent app. I’m not sure what advantages there are over just accessing Breeze through Safari. It’d be nice if they added 3D Touch shortcuts, Touch ID authentication, and easier people search.
“Breeze” is a misnomer. It could be called “sludge” because the app (and website) are unbearably slow at times. If it wasn’t a pain to switch to a different platform, we would.
It is definitely easy to use, but this is the slowest app on my phone by far. No matter what wifi network I’m on, it crawls. I expect more when a church is paying for a service like this
Poorly implemented app, that is rarely updated. Logs you out frequently but does not incorporate Touch/Face ID. I’ve abandoned the app and simply use the website with mobile Safari so I can take advantage of its password manager.
Honestly, this isn’t any different than just visiting the website. HTML wrappers are slow and clumsy - lacking native support for deeper integration. Please update app!!
The Breeze desktop program is very useful and relatively fast. HOWEVER: This app is s.o.o.o.o.o.o s.s.s.s.l.l.l.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.w.w.w that it is absolutely useless. I have a relatively new iPad with IOS 17 that performs very well with other apps.
The Breeze app is a companion to the desktop version and puts your Breeze account in the palm of your hand. Depending on your church’s permission settings, members can: • Update profile information • View a church member directory • Manage recurring gifts • Give one time gifts Account admins can easily access their church’s Breeze account for quick insights and management on the go, including: • Updating People, Events, Contributions, and more • Accessing your church’s member directory to keep contact information on-hand • Sending email or text messages to members • Monitoring church contributions and health metrics Download the Breeze app today to get started.
