I will start this review stating that I love bulk supplements and use them for all of my supplement stacks. However, I must say that I am having a rather hard time getting the app to work for me. The side bar will not scroll down to admit me to sign in so I am having to resort to using the web store (which is not bad by any means, but what’s the point of an app if you can’t make it work and make things easier?) once they fix the scrolling issue with the drop down bar then the app would be 5* until then I will give it a 3* due to bulk supplements excellent selection and pricing as I believe they deserve at least that! Check out the app if you wish to check out as a guest but otherwise, until it is fixed; just use the website.
However, the app still casts a negative shadow over the product (by far the best I’ve ever found) and UX. I was particularly annoyed at the “sign up for discounts” notification that opened up my settings so I could (presumably “conveniently”) allow the app to spam my notification center with whatever advertisement deals blah blah blah …. At a certain point it’s most convenient to ditch the app altogether just to simplify things. If this trend catches on and you make it harder and harder to discern the App Store software from the Play Store software, you’re basically throwing away one of the main iOS advantages and changing the dynamics of what makes whichever one superior to whom.
Although the quality of your products and packaging is excellent, I feel that the cost of shipping has made a purchase very difficult. Especially when I can go to a local store and not have to pay that shipping cost. I nevertheless did purchase, but not after letting the product sit in my cart no less than three separate times.
Their site promoted their app for a 10% discount, but it was never applied at check out. I’ve contacted support, so I’ll see what they do. I like their products and have been ordering from them for quite awhile.
If you choose a quantity of a product that they don’t have in stock, you won’t find this out until AFTER you have entered your payment details, and then, the app will wipe out all of the information you just wasted your time entering, so you have to freaking do it ALL OVER AGAIN! I HATE STUPID PEOPLE!
Web site is slow to load. I can’t login on web site. I had to download app so I could place an order. Although the app works it doesn’t have the information like the website.
This app might as well be ..just their website, but worse. Apps should be easier to use, easier to navigate, but the menu doesn’t even scroll. I like BS, but they should consider if this app is a reflection of who they are, or just BS for real.
Bulk supplements “will not” allow any returns. There is a customer service, yet never any response to quiries about past purchases and or returns or credit. Use extreme caution and don’t expect any response to your quiries about their products. “WARNING”
I’ve been pretty happy with almost everything I’ve gotten from Bulk Supplements. I quite often also buy through their store on Amazon. However, I recently tried a new supplement or two that I didn’t like, and within the first week of purchasing I tried to return it, which it would not allow me to do which I find very disappointed I have not yet tried to contact Bulk Supplements, I’m not even sure if it’s worth it or if it’s gonna be such a hassle… I’m done buying through Amazon as far as their products go. I guess if the store is out online. My money will be spent elsewhere. they should fix that before they lose a lot more business than just mine! I know I’m the type of person that buys a mortgage payments worth of supplements every month, I love to try new things really have a return on supplements b/c generally I know exactly what I am looking for.
When you try to fill out the shipping address the screen does not compress on an I phone to allow you to put it the zip, state and country. It took me forever to try to get that info on there. I almost gave up and did not place the order because of the issue, luckily I had patience. Also it did not give me a place to put the 10% discount code on the payment page.
Good experience until checkout. Also the text for writing this review is all white and I cannot see it. Anyways I selected google pay for checkout and it ignored that and forced credit card checkout. Then while entering my cc info the entered data got cleared multiple times until I entered the back code, exp date, name, then card number. Really frustrating and this poor ux could lead to significant Drops.
