Appointment Keeping & Scheduling Tasks
I highly recommend Calendar. It has numerous features that allow one to organize their day and even coordinate specific events with others. This app has really helped me to keep appointments when I am in the midst of doing other things. With the Alert feature, I can receive reminders to help me wind down whatever I’m doing and be ready to leave at the appointed time. With the Travel Time feature, I can set the time I need to leave for an appointment by choosing a location to leave from, in which case it figures the time to reach the destination automatically; or choose my own timeframe for travel. Either of these block off the additional time needed for travel on the daily schedule. Calendar has also greatly helped me to get organized — to schedule out tasks that require handling. Before using Calendar, my tasks continued to be postponed and remained undone and disoriented in timeline and priority in the Reminders app. Having the tasks on my calendar helps me see the full day at a glance; what I need to do on a certain day; and block off sufficient time to complete each task. If I don’t get a task completed on the assigned date, I can either edit it to move the task to another day, if I didn’t work on it at all; or edit it to be a repeating event to work on until I complete the entire task.

Older you get, gets more helpful
I schedule everything on it…..daily, weekly, monthly and long term. I find it especially helpful with monthly and long term events/tasks like…. Cleaning air filters once a month, checking oil tank level, emptying house vac, testing fire alarms, and the list goes on and on with tasks that need to be done but that you just don’t think about. OR when you do think about it, you can’t do it because you are rushing out or can’t remember when you last did it. Of course annual reminders for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. are obviously important but so are reminders to have your furnace cleaned, winterize your irrigation system, etc. All the things that need to be done but often you don’t think about it until it’s an issue. It also helps to let you know when you last did a task assuming you followed through on it. Trust me…. The busier you get the more it helps and the older you get, the more it helps! One of the best features for me is the two alerts that are allowed with each entry! A week, 2days, 2hours, they are all useful depending on the event/task.

Doesn’t sync with Outlook calendars
Calendar works great if you don’t have to sync any non-Apple calendars. I am a devout Macbook user but I have to use Outlook for work, and I like to have the calendar synced with my personal Apple calendars so I can see my availability according to personal appointments and school events that I’d rather not put in my work calendar. I had no problem setting up the sync, but it often drops it or randomly doesn’t sync certain appointments, with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes it will sync the same appointment three times. When an Outlook meeting has been canceled, it is not removed. I have always used Calendar without any issues or complaints, but I am now going to subscribe to a third-party application, to avoid missing important work meetings, or double booking and having to cancel something. It’s really disappointing, because searching online for a solution, I could see that lots of other people are having this issue, and there seems to be no interest in solving it. The only solution offered by Apple support was to delete the calendar, and set it up again, which is the equivalent to “ turning it off, and turning it on again.” Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and even when it does work, the problem returns the following day or week or just when you start to get comfortable, it doesn’t sync your appointments and you miss an important meeting.

It decided to be intuitive
Once upon a time I was able to choose whether the default display was month, week or day and it would stay that way. I could tap on a day of the month and that day would open. Now when I tap on an empty date in preparation to enter an appointment the empty date doesn’t show up, all the appointments near the empty date fill the display. For whom is this a helpful feature? Why is there no option to turn off this feature? In the olden days there was just a dot for every appointment on a date, you’d have to open the date to see the appointments. Annoying but dependable. Now the first appointment shows up in the date and if there are others it says “other”. At a glance it really looks like there is only one appointment on that day. Instead of making “other” bigger give me the option to go back to dots. One dot, one appointment, 8 dots, 8 appointments. Just a few versions ago I was able to choose holiday calendars from anywhere I wanted. Now it’s only USA holidays so I have to hand enter holidays for home. I can probably change my region but then I can only operate those options. When did Apple become so attached to nationalist ideals? It must be about making somethings more expensive in certain areas. The app tries to be intuitive by providing what it thinks I want by default, but it’s more like when a child is being helpful and a short task become a long one that requires loads of patience. The difference is I have no love for the app. Just fix it.

I like this app but it could be improved
I like this app. Its easy to use and set appointments in it. You can even set repeating Events to some degree. Like most bills are due monthly so you can set an event like say a payment reminder for your Netflix or Disney+ account and set it to repeat monthly. You can even set daily, weekly, every 2 weeks, or, monthly events. There’s even a custom that lets you do events that say repeat every 2, 3, 4, or however many days you want to set it to repeat, but what it doesn’t have is a way to set an event that happens like every 3rd Saturday of the month. Because each month has different number of days in it you can’t use the every so many days function because it throws it off. Like for example if an event is every 4th Thursday of the month but the previous month had 5 Thursdays it would throw off the count. So having a way to specify every 4th Sunday or Thursday or whatever day of the month would fix this problem cause as for now I have to create an event for each month manually and that is super time consuming! So Apple please update this app and free up my time to do other things. Thank you in advance!

The update breach on wi-if erased my Apple iPhone Calendar and an overlay duo screen appears.
How do remove a duo overlay screen on my iPhone Plus 8 and how do I restore my iPhone calendar rather than the blank screen no invitations which is false because my schedule is correct on my iMac desktop and Apple MackBook Pro M1 chip. We are switching to MetroNet because we have been breached prior and internet Wi-Fi trespassed without permission consents. Previous computers such as Dell Laptops and Dell Desktop were breached with an overlay screen and cursor overlay that was unusual for how a computer would behave. Seeking assistance on fixing the calendar download. Fixing our telecommunications breach remote access. Correcting the overlay and entry through computers and printers we did not authorize while being aware to prevent trolling and unethical subliminal marketing advertising promotion agents online as fraudulent criminal activity. The Apple product is fine and my husband has an updated iPhone. However, in terms of cost all don’t need to update immediately on a family educators budget. Mrs. Gloria Bailey & Dr. Eric Bailey. This is a WONDERFUL app!!!
I’ve enjoyed the use of the Calendar app since I became an Apple Customer. Once, I got my first real cell phone, iPhone 8, I instantly FELL IN LOVE with Apple technologies because the only device I had for 3 years prior to that was the iPod Classic. As I got my hands on that first iPhone, with SO MANY FREE APPS, I used Apple Support nearly every day to become fully aware of it’s abilities and when it would need to be updated. So I would use BOTH The Calendar App and the Reminder App to remind and alarm me of daily activities and weekly activities such as housekeeping, doctor appointments, specific phone calls, and my desired daily times for medication. My MOST FAVORITE part of this app is that you can use a ringtone purchased from iTunes as the Alarm sound if you choose to. With each app that has this ability and every beloved family member of mine, they all have a favorite song ringtone of mine for them. The default ringtone is my most favorite song of all time!!! I’m EXTREMELY HAPPY to be an Apple customer and highly enjoy the Calendar app too.

1) An appointment should always be displayed using the local time. I travel a lot on business, often for a day or two after I get to a destination, appt times are displayed in the former time zone on the daily summary. If you drill into the appt, it possibly then shows the appt time in multiple time zones. But other times, the appointment shows up at the time from your former time zone for days. The only way to get the app to adjust all appointments to your correct time zone is to completely close the app and restart it. This should auto recalculate every time you turn off airplane mode, or the phone detects a time zone change. I have missed several meetings because the summary doesn’t update based on local time zones. 2) I wish I could delete duplicate holidays, or holidays I don’t recognize. 3) If someone sends me reoccurring meeting invite and I decline it. It shows up in my calendar forever. Unless the sender deletes it. I have tons of declined meetings in my calendar each week from associates who no longer work for my company that I can’t permanently delete. So my calendar is super cluttered. Apple, this is a total fail. Please fix this app that has so many flaws.

I am 69 years old. I’ve witnessed good and bad things here on this planet. I Love God, family, people and honor the Sabbath Day from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Jesus is my Lord and savior. No more sickness and pain from chronic illnesses. I worked for a really good employer to provide for my family. I’m very thankful to my dad for showing me how hard work and staying focused can give you opportunities you couldn’t imagine! "Apple Calendar: Chaos Amidst Cosmic Disarray"
In the intricate web of life, where even the cosmic ballet of celestial bodies seems simpler than the perplexing intricacies of our daily existence, the Apple Calendar app emerges as a bastion of both promise and disappointment. As humanity grapples with the interminable waits at traffic lights, akin to the eons passing between galaxies, the shadow of COVID hangs ominously over our lives, disrupting plans with the ruthlessness of a cosmic collision. Amidst this chaos, akin to the pandemonium following an emergency door breach, one would hope for the Apple Calendar app to be a beacon of order. Alas, it falters on the precipice of our expectations. Its attempts to corral the unruly events of our lives often feel as futile as attempting to harness the unpredictable forces of the universe. The traffic light waits may be long, but the wait for the Apple Calendar app to provide seamless organization feels even longer, a cosmic irony in the grand scheme of our digital interactions. In the face of the tumultuous events that characterize our times, one longs for a digital sanctuary, a haven of meticulous planning. Regrettably, the Apple Calendar app, amidst its sleek interface, fails to mitigate the chaos, leaving us yearning for a celestial order in the midst of our earthly disarray.

Use it all the time but recent bugs make me look into other apps.
I rely heavily on this calendar app, it was simple, organized and connected to all my devices. But recently I have been experiencing events dropping off my calendar with no trace or warning. Things I know I have put into my calendar verified it’s there and then a week later cannot find it. Also experiencing events jumping from calendar to calendar- my default calendar also keeps changing and I keep changing it back. Who knows maybe I’ve been hacked…but I am swapping to another calendar app. I have a very very busy schedule and one dropped or moved event can cause a cascade of issues, not to mention loss of income. Especially if I know I am not the one deleting events. Also there’s no way to turn off multiple alerts for basic events- like birthday calendar & contact calendar showing up in duplicate and triplicate on the calendar. Because contacts are triplicating contacts over the many different apps. Not happy. Another disappointment is that it’s difficult to view my month or week at a glance and see my general business status. Makes it twice as difficult to balance work and life if you can’t view what’s happening in an overview.

Useful now and then
I like how it’s set up when you open events, and I like how you can set it for all day, especially when somethings happening all day, I guess in my family sharing we share a calendar so I can see my parents in it, even though that’s none of my business, sometimes I have important events so I have time to jot down there on my calendar and schedule it for the time that I have to come, Apple‘s calendar is actually very useful, and you can also set alerts for your calendar to remind you when it’s time for the event, it has much better quality than Reminders that reminder as it is also pretty useful, especially with school, sometimes I wake up late and I’m late for school and reminders really helps me wake up in the morning so I don’t forget when it’s time to leave and when it’s time to wake up so I can leave

Trying it out against Google Calendar
I’m not very pleased with this app. Though following Apple instructions, I’m unable to delete events, I can’t tell what events occur daily from a “month” view, I’m unable to put color labels on events as in Google (label events that cost money as green, appointments as red, school as salmon, etc). With Google in the month view I can see color icons representing events at a glance, can’t do that here. There are limited settings for notifications and two won’t do for me. I need multiple notifications. I’m unable to delete recurring events and trying to trace down the original event that marks as recurring, is where? I am trying to get away from Google but so far the Google calendar is more user friendly and has far more features for those of us with TBI’s or who are in need of a more accessible calendar. Disappointing, as are other Apple apps where young folks are only thinking of themselves and it’s clearly a “privileged” un-nuanced outlook/worldview.

Calendar app is essential
This calendar app is great to have across all my devices. I have used ge different categories, but I don’t think I fully know how to customize them. For example, I have separate categories for the various appointments and reminders. I even have the holidays color coded. But mostly I use the calendar to note dates I need to remember. Another aspect which is most helpful is the ability to note long standing and repeat notes- such as vacations and reoccurring appointments. I like that one can schedule reminders and alarms for appointments-including travel times and several alerts for preparation to leave home. It’s all well structured and thought out to sync with earlier appointments set perhaps for the same purpose. I like having the calendars on my iPhone and iPad. It’s excellent for keeping me on track.

Keeps changing dates on me
I’ve been using this app for about 6 years to keep track of my appointments. Until recently it was very reliable but now I’m finding I’m having issues with how it inputs time. Sometimes I’ll find that it puts the time for a previous appointment in automatically, assuming that because it’s a repeat appointment that I’ll be showing up for my next appointment at the same time. More recently I ended up showing up an hour late for an appointment that had 2 different events; one for the appointment I thought it was, and another that was genetically labeled “new event”. I don’t think this is human error because whenever I make my appointment I take out my phone to confirm with the person scheduling the appointment with. So either the person is scheduling my appointments wrong, I’m mislabeling my appointments wrong after confirming with the person I’m scheduling with, or something is wrong with the app. Seeing as how I’ve only started having these issues after recent updates, I’m inclined to think it’s the app. Truly disappointed as I really liked this app.

Stable and reliable, but needs more dynamic viewing options
Like most Apple products this app works well and is reliable. However, if you would like to look at your day, while also knowing what is coming up in your week/month or move appointments across dates, it is somewhat limited and makes you switch views. For example, if i want to reschedule a meeting that is today till next Tuesday, I would like to know what is on my cal on Tuesday and what my openings are around that day while rescheduling. If I had a small week forward preview in my day view that would help, and month forward in my week view etc. Drag and drop of meeting across weeks/months could work better too in effectuating this. Further, as a way of being a great time management tool it also would be nice if the app integrated with the Task app/list better, as most tasks are just unscheduled calendar items anyway. The two should work and viewable together.

It would be better if….
All the separate calendars have a color to identify it. But when you’re looking at the page that shows the entire month, there’s only a dot (.) to indicate there is an entry for that date - that’s it. That entry could be from Apple (President’s Day) or from one or more of the users calendars - there’s no way to tell by glancing at that full month page if there’s something that needs to be looked at or if it’s something mostly irrelevant. It would be cool if that dot turned to the same color of the calendar or turn into a multi-colored triangle if there are multiple calendar entries for that date. It would make glancing at that entire month page easier to determine if you should pay attention to a specific date or if it’s just a generic entry like ‘Boxing Day’. Just a thought.

Calendar Suggestions
- Should be able to edit color coding, to change priority of what colored entry appears first, second, etc. - Can you change/edit font size so that you can enter more than 8 entries that appear on the screen? - Need more emojis that correspond with calendar entries-I’m not a huge emoji fan, but sometimes like to post and entry with an emoji to catch my eye (e.g., I post a basketball emoji for my favorite college basketball team schedule to ensure I don’t miss the games) - I like how entries in my Contacts folder will appear on the calendar, but wish I could scroll over a calendar entry to have a ‘note’ appear when needed/desired. - Overall, I’m still learning and enjoy using iCal, as I was a two+ decade user of a competing brand, but finally made the move to use all Apple programs for synching sake on all the family’s devices.

Apple has the best everything…. Except this
Please update your calendar! It is the worst calendar app! When I open my calendar, I want to see a quick view of my month. All you provide is a bunch of dots that tell me I might have something planned that day. That doesn’t help me stay focused and organized in the slightest. Instead I have to open each day individually to see what the dang dot is. ( I know, first world problems). This is why I use google calendar. Way more user friendly and I can easily make changes to several of my calendars at once. I can easily glance at my calendar and plan events. I just wished it had the seamlessness most all other apples apps have with iPhone, but it doesn’t because it’s obviously google. If there’s anything apple truly fails at. It’s this app right here. You’d think that with a multibillion dollar company that probably makes thousands of events, plans, and meetings per day, they’d have a solid calendar app. I’m willing to take a bet that not even your own employees use this calendar for their engagements. It’s a shame!

SO PRACTICAL
I have made more use of the Calendar since I retired than when I was working: personal, car repair, doctor and many other appointments; anniversaries & birthdays; social events; getaways; and the occasional job like election judge. So not only does it help me keep track of my life events but through the family sharing option it also helps my wife and I coordinate appointments that involve both of us. Another feature that I enjoy is how the app pulls up information from a similar past event as you create a new appointment. For instance when I create an Eye Dr appointment, the app will present the info that I can select from my last appointment if I named it Eye Dr; I may have to adjust the time and date but it certainly convenient to have some of the details entered automatically. Life at work was so uncomplicated!

The amazing qualities of the calendar app
As I struggle to remember all of the pointless events filling my brain space and life, there has been one thing helping me manage to complete these impossible tasks. For example, I was asked out by exactly 41 human woman on a romantic excursion to the McDonald’s play place. I would not have possibly been able to figure out when to attend this beautiful excursion through my busy schedule filled with dumpster diving, important business trips, and many other crucial exponents to my very busy schedule without the amazing calendar app. It assisted me in times when I needed assistance, picked me up when I needed to be lifted, and much much more. I can not express my undying love for this amazing tool and I am incredibly thankful to those who created it. Thank you apple, my life has been fulfilled.

Keeping track
The calendar does an awesome job of not only allowing you to capture & check your important activities, but also give you alerts at either hours to minutes prior to any kind of event, either for virtual or physical meetings. I like simplicity so entire family can use it. Probably the only thing I would like to see in the app is that when a calendar invite has either changed or in no longer needed - the information that you’re able to delete it off of the calendar totally versus having just a line through the item to help clear up your calendar. This is especially useful for recurring meetings, courses, or any recurring items. If possible save to deleted section that gives a person a second chance to either edit or permanently delete calendar entries at year’s end to save memory space.

ICalendar
I love iCalendar more than any other resource. It keeps my husband & I on the same page as we share our calendars, thanks to Apple Technical Support’s assistance when setting up our shared calendars. It makes recurring events a cinch - just add the information and when you want it to recur and for how long. You can then modify any or all of the recurrences. All subsequent appointments are easy to add because the locations autofill. I just click on the address on the day of my appointments if I need directions. It will even alert me to the time I need to leave if I set it up to do so. I even put recurring chores on my ICal, such as for changing my air handler filter and my electric toothbrush head every 90 days, weekly chores, etc., etc., etc. There’s no end to it’s usefulness and convenience.

One dot a day is minimal help
Apple coud make one simple improvement. On the Apple monthly calendar, you see the day numbers and a single dot under each day you have an appointment - for one or many events that day you only see one dot. If you're like me you have a dot on every day of the month, but you can't tell at a glance at just one dot which days are really busy and which days are just one event. So when you're looking for a less busy day to schedule something, you must open every day individually to find out how many events there are for that one dot. Wouldn't it be nice to have at least three colored dots: say for morning, afternoon, and evening events. Then on a day where you only have one single event, say morning event, you would see one morning colored dot, then you could easily schedule something in the afternoon or evening without having to struggle to find an opening.

Very functional…
I love using the calendar for family reminders & events. I love that my fam gets the notices right after I add something to the calendar. I wish I could have customizable options to set a reminder whenever I want. It would be nice to have the option to set a reminder one month in advance or two weeks in advance. Sometimes 1 week isn’t enough. I also wish there was an option to add or take a picture to add to it while creating the invite. We live in a digital world so numerous school events are sent through an app or email so taking a screenshot is convenient but having to save that as a file and then find go to the calendar & attach it that way is just more steps to take. Other than those two “wants” it’s a very functional calendar. I know my family couldn’t function without it.

Handy but not quite polished
It is very nice to have my calendar in my phone so it is always with me. And it is great to be able to see my wife's calendar and she mine. But this app has a big problem. I missed several important appointments by showing up at the wrong time before I caught this Calendar app in the act of changing event times and realized that it was the problem. When I am making an appointment, the natural flow for me is: I create a new event in the agreed date, then I enter the agreed time, then I enter the name and place. Calendar does not cooperate with that flow. When I enter the name, it silently goes and changes the time to match that of the previous event of that name. It goes and silently changes that which I explicitly entered just a moment earlier! That is unacceptable. If I were entering the name FIRST in a new event, then I can see how automatically setting the time could be helpful. But when I have already set the time, changing it silently is outrageous behavior. Here is my suggestion to the developers. Before the app goes and automatically fills in any field, it should pop up a window asking permission to do so. And every field should allow a value representing blank or unset, and this should be its default value when a new event is created.

Love my Google Calendar
Have been using Google Calendar forever it seems. Love the ease of entering events and having the location and notes attached. Great for planning events with friends, sending them an email and/or link and we all have the event in our calendars. The color coding is a great tool for keeping track of different kinds of events, appointments, and family plans. Being on the other side of 70, I only use one calendar, but the colors make it easy to distinguish appointments, recurring activities, and other entries at a glance. Great for blocking out multi-day events for myself or other family members. There are many more tools, but those are the main ones I use. Whenever calendar discussions come up, that is the one I suggest people try.

Great integration but missing important features
I'm impressed with how well the calendar app is integrated with other apps. However the ics support isn't great. I want to selectively set reminders on events on an ics calendar because I'm not attending most of the events on the calendar. The only option available is to set reminders for all or none of the events. The interface allows individual reminders, but it crosses them out because they aren't supported yet. I find this really strange considering apple invented ics a long time ago and it's very popular for public event calendars. To work around this issue, I tried copying the event to my calendar. But the app doesn't support that. So I have to manually create the same event on my calendar, and Siri always aka me to confirm that I want to schedule an event at the same time as the original event.

Easy setting location
This calendar on my iPhone has been amazing! I don’t have to search for an address. I just enter the company name and address pops up fast! Even if I get a friends address, the search is way easy! I absolutely love it, I’m not exaggerating at all, I’m not a fan of some apps because I have to search on how to work it a setting and all! This is simple and easy to set any appointment! Although I wish when I have another person I need at my appointment and I add them to the invites, that it could automatically sends them a text stating they are invited to this appointment and have them confirm it. That would be awesome! Instead I have to text them the date, time, place where the appointment or meeting is at! Other then that it’s great app to have!

Intuitive for many actions
I don’t use the calendar for much more than an average person needs. It is absolutely perfect for my needs. I love that I can create events in certain calendars and show only whatever I need but turn on other calendar events when I want them. For example, I can make a calendar of my doctor appointments and a different one for friends’ birthdays. When I really need to know my doctor appointments, I may not care about Birthdays, nor the NASA and space craft events calendar that I downloaded. In the adding of events and use of the calendar, the editing and adding for the event is fairly intuitive. It is not difficult to find the correct buttons for editing or replacing. There is a little bit of needing to simply go into categories to find out how they work, but there are not enough of to them to take up large amounts of time in searching. I like using this calendar very much. Especially when it pulls information from an email or another communication app. All the other apps that have looked appealing sale in one of the ways calendar has spoiled me. I haven’t needed another calendar app.

Very Useful, but could be better
It has really helped me stay more organized but could use more features: 1# I like how of the Mac version you can see all your events through out the month in one view but, It makes difficult to see how busy you are. IOS only has dots. #2 One more I suggestion I have is… I find that it would be useful to add the option to select one specific calendar to see what events someone has for that particular calendar. In the current version you have to deselect all your other calendars to focus in one, which I find inconvenient. A specific use case would be, is if someone had calendar for their bills and it make it easier to just click on button in view to only see what days throughout the month they have bills coming up. Overall great app

Useful But Glitchy & Bland
Overall this calendar has served me well over the years but even on my iPhone 12 Pro Max the hourly view or expanded day breakdown is hard to navigate or view. Also I hate how when you add a new job or location for work it always defaults back to your previously worked locations instead of pulling the newly added location from an updated contact card. I’m constantly having to manually add the new work location for travel time alerts. I’ve even was late to an interview when I first noticed the error because having asked Siri to “give me directions to work” it defaulted to an older address even after having completely erasing the old contact info. Also I wish there were more color options for the labels for work or home instead of just blue and or purple when blocking out time slots. Wish it was more customizable overall. Other than that it’s an ok calendar.

Great, but wish there was a way to remove extra days in-between months
ICal is great- quick and easy to use! I like the use of different colors; I like the ease of use. Would love to have the option to remove national holidays, or religious holidays, but that’s an issue with every calendar. One thing continues to bug me, though: I wish that it was possible to view the transition between months seamlessly. Currently, there are always extra days on the calendar in-between months. Sometimes it’s an extra 4, 5, or even six days! This might seem insignificant to software developers, but I teach five classes a semester. Often, I organize assignments for major projects by counting the number of weeks after I introduce the instructions: two weeks to choose a topic; two weeks further to get an outline going; four weeks to complete the annotated bibliography, etc. I do this for five classes, paying attention to what will come in grading-wise for each course. It’s a tricky thing to plan multiple weeks across multiple classes, and strike a balance. The issue with the false extra days drives me batty, and makes this task exponentially harder. Please at least provide the ability to adjust this in iCal. Thanks!

Could have been so much better
Where to start? First my iPhone 12 Pro is my first iPhone since the original iPhone 4. I suffered a TBI and was forced to sell my iPhone and the 2 Mac's I owned. While I'm glad to be back with iPhone and iOS I must express a real confusion with how bad the Calendar App is. It is not available to add to the Control Center and lacks much of the basic functionality of the Google Calendar. I was shocked to see how highly rated the Google Calendar was compared the Apple Calendar, but I do understand why. So I am back to Google Calendar and I thought I ditched all the Google Apps. Apple in order to catch up you need add more reminders inside of the Calendar, add options for how you want reminders sent, add the option to change the color of each event, add a month view that will show what the day's event is by looking at the monthly calendar instead of necessitating clicking on the event. Lastly, please add the Calendar as an option for the Control Center.

I HATE THIS APP!!
I don’t understand all of the positive reviews for this awful app!! They have to be fake reviews! I find it hard to believe that there’s that many satisfied users. When reading the “most critical” reviews, it looks like I’m not the only one who’s past events are deleted from the app. When searching for something that I know I put in the calendar and seeing the search come up empty is such crap!! The only events that haven’t been deleted are the ones that are set to repeat. If I’m putting something in my calendar, it’s because it’s important for me to remember! I don’t need or want them to be deleted unless I delete them myself!! I have memory problems so I use the calendar regularly to keep track of everything. I DON’T need those things to be deleted!! I seriously hate this app!! Why can’t Apple slow down on the phone productions and fix known issues with the over priced phones that everyone is still paying off!!

Improving App by Adding ‘Add Photo’ Feature
If I want to add an image to the app, I have to go to add attachments and then change the photo saved in my phone and move the location to files. This feature is frustrating and makes it so that I want to find another app to utilize. Please add the feature of images being able to be added via attachments and then generating photos saved or simply a ‘Add Photo’ selection. People tend to screenshot important dates and events and also there might be a photo of an event that they took where they want to add it to their calendar. If this app can seamlessly integrate photos to the calendar then it would be helpful. (This would also be disability friendly to people that have cognitive or neurological disabilities; just make it user friendly). 🙂

Love It!!!!
I LOVE this calendar!!!!!!!!! I make an appointment at the doctor, the vet, the dentist … enter in my phone and it’s done! No appointment cards to find in your drawer and wonder if it’s for this year or last year! I can set Alerts a full week out up to the morning of. I can enter the address of any appointment and when I plus my phone into Car Play, the notation connects to my Apple Maps and navigation directions are instant! I would love one improvement. I have to use a separate app to search my calendar events beyond 1 year. Just last week I used that app to tell my doctor when I last had appointments with my cardiologist, my pulmonologist and the dates of my shingles vaccine. But I still love this calendar!

Missed opportunity
The one feature that would make this calendar perfect is if the user had the option to activate synchronization with the items from Reminders app (or just have a separate separate “inbox” within the calendar app) that we could just drag and drop them onto a calendar day. This would save time having to retype calendar entries. I actually deleted Reminders because it’s completely isolated from Calendar. Yes, I know I can drag items from reminders to calendar, but it’s gimicky and who likes having to check 2 separate, isolated apps to stay organized? Plenty of calendar services have already activated tasks-calendar sync feature, so it’s surprising that Apple hasn’t done this yet. Such a missed opportunity and waste of computing power.

Reminder glitch
For the last couple of weeks a reminder keeps popping up in my notifications and automatically duplicating itself throughout the year and plaguing each date’s reminder column with itself. Every time I try to even open the app or delete the reminder, it glitches out and freezes. It won’t even let me navigate the Calendar app without freezing because of the fact that it keeps duplicating itself at such a high rate, causing the app to crash. I contacted Apple support about this and literally no one knew how to solve the problem. Instead, they wasted my time for about an hour and then sent me off to a new agent without warning, making me start the process all over to explain to someone else. Although I’ve been using this app ever since I received my first iPhone, these glitches are getting out of hand and I might just have to use Google for things like reminders and other resources instead.

Killing my battery
Personally, I don’t mind the app itself. It’s easy to use, but is lacking in some finer details. However, that’s not the issue I’ve been having. I’m the past 10 days according to the battery statistics in the settings, the calendar app has been running in the background for 27 hours. It’s absolutely daring my battery and I can only get about two hours or so on a full charge if that. My battery life is only 87%, so I don’t think that’s the issue. I’ve tried everything to fix it that I’ve seen suggested online, but nothing short of deleting the app (which I did recently) has fixed this issue. This is a huge issue and because the calendar app killed my battery, it left me in stranded on the middle of downtown Atlanta at 2am without a way to contact anyone for help. I have no idea what to do and if it was the latest IOS that did it but something needs to be fixed.

Easy and uncomplicated
There are several benefits to using the calendar app on an iPhone: 1. Organization: The calendar app can help you keep track of your schedule, appointments, and events, and ensure that you don't miss anything important. 2. Reminders: The app allows you to set reminders for upcoming events or tasks, which can help you stay on top of your schedule and be more productive. 3. Syncing: The calendar app can sync with other apps, such as your email client, to ensure that you have all of your events in one place. 4. Sharing: You can share your calendar with friends, family, or colleagues, making it easier to coordinate schedules and plan events together. 5. Travel: The app can help you manage your travel plans by allowing you to add flight details, hotel reservations, and other travel-related information to your calendar. 6. Accessibility: The calendar app is easily accessible from your iPhone's home screen, making it easy to quickly check your schedule or add a new event. Overall, the calendar app on the iPhone is a useful tool for managing your schedule and staying organized.

I was in the same position Liz was dead phone
Liz I quite agree I had this calendar and took it off my phone it drained my battery also and put me in jeopardy. And I’m not talking the game jeopardy. But I was in the middle of a town that I didn’t know and it was the middle of the night and with a dead phone you have no contacts. I also decided to get a tiny phonebook which you can buy at like a dollar store usually and write my closest contacts numbers down. We probably should all do that anyways specially if the Internet goes down and your phone goes dead. I decided and I did make a 3 x 5 card for all my friends and I keep it at home in my safe. We’ve come to rely on electronics far too much. There’s nothing wrong with a pen and paper or a pen and a 3 x 5 card for back ups. But I did get rid of this calendar and I chose a different calendar that’s worked well for me. Good luck

More options really needed
Really great calendar app except very sparse options. Eg, in month view, I need ‘today’ to move today to top—I need to see all upcoming weeks, not past weeks. In month view portrait, I need to see more events per day and not sooo many weeks ahead. So, in portrait, display 4-6 rows max would give more space for events per day. Also, I need to get rid of the blank squares between months. Sometimes it is an entire blank row—just a waste of space. There are many other great visual indicators for the month change. Apple/iPad calendar is ROCK SOLID in reliability—I’m always impressed at how fast and error-free it syncs all the services. This the most important and programmatically difficult part. So, it’s sad that there are sooo few options that make it more usable for robust professional planning.

Solid and reliable
Apples Calendar app doesn’t offer a lot of features found in other apps. I also wish the monthly view would show event titles instead of dots. But the most import thing is it has the basics down solid. I’ve never had an issue with syncing and reminders for events always reliably pop up. The most important aspect of a calendar program is to reliably keep and sync your appointments and remind you when they are coming up. Apples program does this well so I don’t mind missing some extra features if it does it’s core functionality reliably. Save yourself some money and time looking around. This program will keep you on track.

Falling behind a bit, mostly good
Needs to integrate with Reminders to catch up with Google Calendar & Tasks, Outlook & To-Do, and every popular calendar app on the App Store Let events be pinched down to 15 minutes, not 30, like on the iPad Ideas: Easily toggle multiple calendars on and off either by tagging them or arranging groups Design a way to view, edit, and easily share your availability over a span of time to anyone with or without iOS Optional full-screen alerts for when an event starts, like an alarm. Sometimes I need my attention aggressively pulled away from what I’m doing Count down to events by year/month/week/day/hour/minute with notifications and a dedicated widget, as a way to extend the concept of early alerts Match what Google is doing with automatic scheduling of repeating events. Machine-learning-based predictive experiences are very in vogue rn. Make em useful Optionally show weather conditions with animations similar to Weather within each event. Like a visual way to say “it will be raining or very windy during this event” Optionally show sunrise/sunset times or indicate daylight in some way Offer a… idk what to call it. A card view? The thing Readdle’s Calendars has. It’s nice

Added functionality needed
Please, please, please move the settings for notifications to the appointment setup screen instead of the main iPhone settings. This app would be the perfect tool to manage my whole family’s calendars if only we could control the sounds, alerts, and banners per appointment, or even per calendar. Unfortunately, if you want a “car horn” notification for something really important that you’re likely to forget, you also have to use that for every birthday and every tiny reminder you put in your phone. Maybe some I don’t want notifications for… maybe some I just want vibrate… and rarely, I might even want some to be obnoxious and loud, even if the ringer is off. They’re easy fixes; please help!

I Never Forget an Appointment
Long, long ago before the iPhone I depended on a small pocket size calendar to note appointments, birthdays, and special events. A paper calendar cannot talk. A paper calendar cannot send me alerts. It was easy to forget what I wrote down on that paper calendar if I did not check it often enough. I’ve been using my iPhone calendar app ever since my first iPhone. I set one or two alerts for the things that are important and never forget an appointment. I’m always surprised by friends who do not take advantage of this app. They of course are the ones who get important appointments mixed up. Or forget plans that they made with me entirely. Needless to say, I love this app.

needs alerts AHEAD of appointment ⏰
I would have given this app five stars, except for the fact that it does not allow you an option to send you an alert in advance of the event. for example, if I have an appointment on May 20, the option should be given to alert you a few days ahead of your appointment. This app does allow you to repeat the app AFTER the scheduled date and time, but it certainly would be more helpful to be reminded that you have an event coming up without having to go in and actually look at the calendar. If there is a way to do this, I wish someone would let me know. the way I do it now is schedule my appointment three days in advance on the calendar and have it repeat for three days. Other than that it is a solid4-5 star application in my opinion.

Inconsistent
Seems like once a year, they do something to this app that makes it completely invaluable and more of a detriment to your calendar, then and assistance. Recent appointments become hard to search for plus inconsistent time frame on how long it stores all the past appointments. Highly inconsistent ability to call populate recurring entries, once beginning to type a new appointment. Sometimes it saves addresses for attendees to reoccurring meetings and sometimes it does not. So then you have to go search for the parties email to add them by hand. They sell a phone with the word pro at the end of it when they use of this app is for anybody, but a pro in any field. You don’t want to lose appointments in the past you’ll have to make a duplicate copy of your calendar with pen and paper. And every time they do an update. Are you buy a new phone? You’ll have to add them in yourself.

It’s just missing one thing!
Love the calendar app. Like how it ties into your email, and setting up reminders. Also love the simplicity to it as well. My one and only critique is how you can’t view calendar events by the month is a simple view like google calendar can. It would be nice to like zoom out of the month, and see the color coordinated events that I have. I can only view them by landscape mode and by the week. It’s weird because your able to do the feature that I am talking about if you are using a laptop or just on the computer in general. But I would absolutely love this app and this it is so superior to other if we just had that feature like you can on the desktop version.
