I am impressed how easy this app is to use. It provides a way to look for a place to camp near where you want to visit. Much easier than having to search through lots of individual campgrounds. This is especially helpful these days when there are not many places available. Once you locate an appropriate campground, you can select the desired type of camping and see on a map where the specific site is located. The photos also help. I found it especially useful as I plan my vacation for next year. I could see many more places to consider.
Had to have my bank dispute charges for a campground that tried to charge my account without my permission.. wanted to switch spots because of an error. I booked my site for three nights instead of four. When I tried to extend it by booking additional day, it wouldn’t allow me to so I figured it was unavailable. I then booked a site that was available for four nights, and it turns out it was cheaper! when I contacted the campground to tell them to cancel site number 26, she acted like she was in two big a hurry to speak to me, telling me that she would call me back when she was ready to cancel site. She never called me back and instead changed the booking to extend the more expensive site and added $100 lock in fee that was never discussed nor did I place it on either of the Reservations i made prior. This is fraud. I spoke with my bank to dispute all charges. We should not have to pay for a cancellation fee when the campground we are dealing with is fraudulent.
A wonderful app that’s easy to use, research campgrounds, and book sites. Unlike other camping apps, these guys will tell you if there are any available sites. I spent hours on Campendium trying figure out who had available sites around The Great Smoky Mountains. With Campspot, I found a campgrounds I liked and had it booked within an hour. There are also great pictures and detailed write ups of the resorts/campgrounds to really get a feel for the place. My only complaint is that I would have liked to have a map of the area to get an idea of the where the campgrounds are located in regards to towns around it, but I just started using the app so, I might not have found the maps yet.
Great stay, we met the owner, really nice gentlemen, He saw us coming but google maps took us thru a trailer park, he came and met us 1/2 thru the trailer park to direct us to our spot, we had a dog that was not feeling well and pointed us a vet, we ended not going to the vet. The next morning as we were leaving he stopped and asked us how are night was I gave him a few suggestions, overall he is building a very nice rv site, we will of course stay here again 5* all the way.
This is yet another tech company refusing to do anything about, or take responsibility for false content on their platform. We booked a premium tent site on a lake, and paid extra for it, and they even gave us the option to pay an extra $50 to ensure they held the exact site we picked, thankfully we didn’t fall for that scam. When we showed up the campground manager told us we didn’t want the site anyway, and showed us why. It didn’t even exist, unless we wanted 5 square feet in between 2 RVs. He then went into a long story about how he’s asked the owners to take down the listings for tent camping, since they don’t actually have any, but they’ve refused. Then he offered us a grass field no where near the lake. We reluctantly agreed, and started to put our tent up and realized it was where all the RV campers took their dogs to crap. Needless to say, we packed the car back up and found a cancellation at a local lodge and left that place behind. I reached out to Campspot and they said they aren’t responsible for anything hosted on their app, but they would reach out to the owners. Over a week later and that campground still has non-existent tent sites listed to reserve.
I have been trying with no success for weeks on end now to cancel reservation. They tell me that I need to call the park themselves because my Gmail account got hacked and I have a new email address but they cannot help me change my account to the new email address at all Newark and they help me with the reservation. Imagine if I had booked 50 different locations for my 90 day journey through this site and all of them were holding me hostage right now it’s just the one but it $95 a night I’m definitely being held hostage if I can’t get a hold of the RV park by the end of the week unfortunately I’ll have to call my credit card company and let them know that I am not authorizing these charges Charges
Mistake is not easily corrected (still not correct)
The app seems easy to use. I made an account and a reservation. Easily accessible can see all information. I made a second reservation and mistakenly entered my email with an incorrect letter. I reached out and they told me I would have to make an account. Well I have an account, and all my reservation information because I screen shot it. However I can’t access it on my account and can’t make another account with the wrong email address. So potentially easy to use but not so easy if a mistake is made. Still not corrected, will try to deal with it again soon.
Great app overall. Things I’d like to see: remember the type of site I’m looking for. I have to select RV site, enter length, and RV type every. single. time. I. use. the. app. Even if it remembered locally, without requiring an account, that would be nice. Cache my preferences or something. Second, after entering all those parameters, the app often shows availability at a location when viewing from the Map view. When drilling into the location you learn there’s no availability. But the map pin was blue and indicated availability, not gray like it’s supposed to be.
I love using Campspot and have been using it for a few years now. Love that they now have an app to make things even easier! It makes finding an available campsite so much easier than the traditional way of calling each campground and taking whatever you can get. They often have great photography of their parks and sites and all together just provide for a great user experience!
So I agree with everyone saying that the app is super easy to navigate, but I also agree with another reviewer that you should be able to put in your site type and rig size at the beginning of the search because that changes the availability. Also, I find it really odd that you can’t see the sites you’ve booked through there or sign into your account on the app to see your upcoming reservations. The app IS super simple, but almost too simple. I think with a few changes it would be a good app, but as of right now I’m just going to keep using the website.
We were so pleased with everything the Long Horn Ranch had to offer. We stayed in lot 31, and it was perfect. Lots of room, right by the river and shaded. The weather was perfect, the Wi-Fi worked excellent for us. Even though we didn’t catch any fish, the experience was so relaxing and quiet. We will definitely be back. Also, everyone was so very nice! Loved every minute, thank you for making our stay so beautiful!!!
The one thing we didn't like was the check in process. Normally when we register all the information is asked for at the time. Their was a separate email about all the details and license number, It seemed cumbersome, but it is a nice place near a lake. I do recommend. While there we went to two BBQ places, Chisholm and Rileys, both Excelllent. We did bike trails in Lockhart State Park, Buscher StatePark and a Rails to Trails at Veloway Trail. All three were great, challenging, exept Veloway. It was beautiful with all the wildflowers blooming.
We just used Campspot to reserve our first campsite and it was super easy. The app has the ease of use similar to Airbnb, but for camping sites. It’s nice having a centralized platform for reserving campsites, since so many great campgrounds can be so difficult to find unless you know what you’re looking for. Will definitely be using Campspot for future camping trips.
App works well to find campgrounds in an area and provides reviews and reservation ability, BUT it would be nice if it allowed you to enter your RV details at the beginning of the search, or save it in a profile, rather than when you are booking. This means you have to enter the info each time you look at a CG, and availability changes depending on this info. Web version remembers the info so you can immediately see availability. Also, not all CG’s are members of this app so you only see a portion of possible opportunities.
Great app. Tried to use to book a RV site but still needed to call the campground to get the discounts that we qualified for. The campground gave us the discount and still booked it through Campspot and charged the $7 booking fee. Great app to find campgrounds when unfamiliar with the area. But need to give discounts for Passport America, Good Sam, AAA, Veterans and First Responders, along with all other discount clubs. Still a good app for finding a campground but call for discounts.
Can’t find any sites near my destination? I keyed in Key West. The nearest listing was in Naples, and Fort Myers. Recommend you check multiple apps. What good does it do if you want to visit friends and relatives in a region if you’re no where near them. Even major cities such as Homestead and the nearest location is 60 to 80 miles away. What good does it do to get a reasonable rate if you’re stuck driving one or more hours away just to visit your family.
Campspot has finally created an app that makes finding and booking a campsite easier! The search results showed me places that were not only in the area I was searching but also for the surrounding areas. The descriptions and pictures were really helpful and made booking our campsite a breeze. Love this app!

I love everything about the new updates to the app, specifically the ability to save sites we love. One thing that would make this even better is the ability to save your TT/RV specifications (ex length, slide out side, etc). This would save so much time! Would you consider this for an upcoming update?!
The fact that I can search and book a campsite immediately and choose my location at the park makes this the best camping app out there. Gone are the days of endless google searches only to find they are full or can’t fit my rig.
This is the future of making campsite reservations
One of the few, although the best and most mature, of the real-time availability apps. The old way of making reservations involved searching for an appropriate campground, then calling or checking online, one by one, for availability in your preferred timeframe. Very time-consuming, to say the least. The Campspot way is to merely enter destination and timeframe. You are then presented with a list (or map view if you prefer) of available campgrounds, including their respective distances, if any, from your preferred destination. So much more efficient and convenient.
I’m always happy to see a campground uses CampSpot for their reservation service. We receive plenty of reminders prior to arrival. Easy to access our reservation. I need to use the website more to locate RV parks. Thanks for being a quality provider!
I was so sick of going to separate campsite “websites” to try and figure out how to book and not knowing where to go cause I’m new to the whole camper thing and this app has completely changed everything. I highly recommend.
I just discovered this app this year and it’s changed our whole way of camping. No longer need to stress about finding a camping spot, we can log on and book in new exciting places we never even knew of before. Love it!
I decided to search campgrounds close to my home to see what was listed. There were campgrounds that I would never step foot in. They are full of permanent residents and in some high meth (drugs) use areas. There were also tons of beautiful campgrounds missing from the list. I am not sure how this list is compiled but I am sure since this app is free there isn’t going to be much vetting taking place. Do your research first!!

Decided to look into the app after seeing promotions at an RV expo. Really cool. Like Airbnb for camping. I do hope they can expand to more campgrounds in time (it’s newer so I get that the selection isn’t fully there yet but still a lot to choose from!) My one issue with the app is that you can’t share sites that you find. I’m planning a camping trip and wanted to send a site I found to a friend but there wasn’t an option to share a link. A favorites area would be nice too if I want to shop around but still go back to one I’ve looked at already.
Been hoping someone would create a simple way to find & make reservations for as long as I’ve been camping, even more now with everyone else wanting to be outside after covid. This app gets it right.

One of the better Apps Ihave used for RV reservations. Never an issue w reservations for the 2 + years using it. Easy to use on mobile phone while on the Highway or computer if you prefer.
This is my second reservation with a separate RV site and it linked with Camp Spot on its own and now I have east accessibility from my phone to to view and change my reservations if needed. Great tool and worth the download.
We stayed in September. Pull through with grassy area. So nice, peaceful, and quiet. The owners are very friendly and we even got to see deer come through in the evenings. We will definitely be going back here. Close to lots of lakes and Broken Bow.
Love staying here. We rent cabins and they are very clean and as advertised. Lots of things to do without all the hoopla, and not far from Cherokee and Tennessee. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have fun family events on site. I highly recommend staying at Stonebridge.
I typed in one location and this app gives a variety of places nearby as well. So easy to navigate. Like one stop shopping for trip planning! Beautiful pics to go with each—awesome app!

Why is there no way to save or like places? This would be a great option. Especially because plan ahead and look around and do research…I won’t remember all the places I’m interested in.
Camp spot is the easiest app I’ve ever used! With just a few clicks, multiple camp sites are located near my destination. I can easily scroll through the photos and descriptions to find the best site for me. This is great!
After taking over vista-rec, tva reservations, all the photos are generic and not the true campsite, using one photo for all sites. Knowing some of the campgrounds, this could be a problem with some sites. Also campspot or campground knew how to use the ATB senior pass for discount. I did find it under the group information, after campspot emailed me back and said they didn’t offer discounts.
While Campspot appears to be pushing to gain RVers using blogs and vlogs to promotes itself, it is not worth the time or effort. So many other apps that actually cater to RVers. We wanted to stay in Gettysburg and the nearest campground was 28-miles, 40-minutes away in Dover. Really, all the campgrounds located in Gettysburg and that’s the best they can offer. We tried several other locations we plan to travel and all had similar none RV friendly offerings.
This is such an easy to use app for locating different camping opportunities- so much better than searching every site’s website !! It’s visually pleasing and simple to navigate! Can’t wait to go glamping ! 😁
I love how easy it is to use Campspot! I love that I can choose a location and it will give me lots of options(closest first) to many campgrounds! Even to many I didn’t know existed!

If I want to book a particular site, I would like to be able to search that site for the entire season and not be forced to search every single week. Please consider updating your software.
I love this application, the only thing I wish it has was the ability to retrieve reservations in history. Having to locate them in my email is challenging with all of the emails I get.
