Most screens freeze and the app will lock to where you have to reset to close. You can’t email receipts from the app - what’s the point in providing them if you can’t extract them? The buses rarely can fit all the people waiting to go from the airport to the lots, so an accurate shuttle location would be helpful. Since there is no signage at the airport or on the island, this function would help not feel just lost until you happen to spot one of the shuttles. It does not feel like there is a customer centric approach with Canopy anymore.
Update December 2017: Tried to use the app and it would not open. I finally deleted it and downloaded it again. This time it opened so it does work. However, having not used Canopy for a year my prior account info no longer works. Secondly the app does not show shuttle bus information anymore. That was what I wanted it for. Up I upgraded it to 2 stars as technically it does work but for me it is still pointless. After all, how difficult is it to have a GPS locator update a bus position over cellular so a position can be put on a map? Really now? December 2016: Got an email about Canopy's new app. As I'm about to go on a trip today I decided to download it. First you have to register to use it. Why? I only want to use it to see where the shuttles are. Secondly when trying to register I just get a connection error so I can. Hence I can't use it. Pointless!
I have tried to use the website to create a reservation and redeem free parking. This does not appear to be possible. It seems that I can reserve parking only, but have no way to redeem earned free days. I then tried to accomplish the same task with the app. After entering dates/times, it requires a location. I select the location (website or website 2), then receive an unintelligible error msg. The app appears to be useless. I don’t understand why these tasks cannot be performed via the website or the app.
Update: Broken again. The major redesign broke the app entirely. It now freezes on the load screen. Was waiting for an update to see if it fixed it. Sadly, it didn't. Beginning to think you should give up on the app and just focus on parking. Update: Still not perfect (single sign-on would make that happen), but working well for me now. Original: Great idea in theory, but not ready for prime time. Your frequent parker account login doesn't work, so when you try to create an account to login it gives an error. And I'm not sure why you need to login to see where the buses are. Hope it gets better (quickly).
Used to be nominally useful but now it’s just taking up space on my phone. 1. Why would I create a new reservation by going into “reservation history” menu?!!?! 2. Pick a Lot: Options are “website 1” or ?Website2” - don’t sound like Lots to me. How about you? 3. Enter a new credit card? Forget it. It will never work. 4. Call for a pickup? Fat chance... you’ll stay out there until hell freezes over (or at least YOU will). The only function that it serves is holding a digital version of your parking card. And even that will probably break in the next release. PHOOEY!
The app opens to a blank screen on iOS devices versions 10 and 11. Old version wasn’t loading fully and update now just stops on the opening screen. We live in the Colorado front range which is full of software companies. This shouldn’t be hard.
Tried to use the & website at least twice per year for 3 years now never having success (including two separate attempts today). Wish Canopy could have hired a decent app builder by now. But I’m giving up, and will try the new facility just to the east.
So I signed up for my online account on my computer and can login fine there, but can’t login with the app! With all these negative reviews it’s a shame Canopy doesn’t care enough to put out a useful app.
Location says website and website2. Cannot change to anything else and therefore cannot make a reservation. Seems that Canopy has given up on this app.
Doesn’t show your reservation. Has a place to save your parking spot, but it doesn’t work. Don’t bother with this app. There are a lot of newer parking businesses at DIA. Look around. Agree that Canopy isn’t what it used to be
The app has a login screen connected to the canopy airport parking site but there is nothing else. The app has no functions other than logging in and displaying the app icon. Useless.
You folks have GOT to find someone who knows how to write an app! After getting an important email today telling us to download the new app because the other one (that also did not work) was about to be phased out...THIS NEW VERSION DOES NOT WORK!! So when I called today to talk with someone, that someone - Leslie - is out on vacation. NOT very smart to send the link to the "new and improved app" on the day the person who knows anything about it GOES ON VACATION. And the person who answered said they are getting numerous calls today on an app that does not work...go figure! DO NOT DOWNLOAD YET; it still ain't right!
1. My long-established account is not recognized. I received an email about the app, it that same email address is "unknown". 2. Why does the keyboard not have essential sign-in characters such as @? Why is the first character of the user ID auto-capitalized? 3. Why is it necessary to sign in just to see where the shuttles are?
Doesn't work- it won't even let me log in, tells me my user name or password is wrong, even though I just logged into the website using the same user name and password. Like so much else with Canopy, this just isn't ready for prime time.
I like this idea for the app as I use Canopy frequently, but I haven't been able to log into the app successfully yet. I seem to get different messages each time or the connection times out. This still needs work, but it's free so...
I was in the terminal and the App said no shuttle was there for a few minutes but when I walked out the door I saw the shuttle pulling away. The App had not told me that the shuttle was there. So it does not give you good information about shuttle locations.
I'm a regular Canopy customer and like the idea of the app, but way too unstable. Crashes constantly even after updating to latest version. Hopefully it'll gain some stability and become useable!
As another review states, there is an issue with login. I can login on the website but logging in on the app gives a prompt that I've entered the wrong info.
So I eventually managed to get past the splash screen, but the only way the app seems to function for me is by having location services turned on. Why would they possibly NEED to know where I am so that I can check my reservations, or use the bar code ? On an “optimistic” day I think of this as a programming oversight, on less good days I have to wonder what they do with the tracking data! I will just keep printing passes for now!
