So once I answer this app it said error and then I tried to keep using it and then it kept having errors and errors and errors and errors and I just was like OK so I just went out of it for a little bit and then I went back to it and once I got on there it’s an error and I was a little upset about it and I read the reviews and I was like OK but I got it because I was wondering if it was actually bad or if it was OK cause I see your views and it’s like a one star and then the other person says it’s a five star so you never know but so I was using it and it definitely is a one star I would not recommend this it is A very bad game and I would never recommend it to anyone and it is a horrible horrible game and you should never play it
The location fictionalization doesn’t work and will not pick up the closet store nearest to me. Most importantly, there are not pictures of the merchandise. If your going to have a functioning app then take the time to at least take pictures. Link the app to the store system so the if the merchandise is bought inside of the store, then it will not continue to post on the app. Once all inventory is on the app and linked with the system, then updating merchandise will only occur as new items come out for sale. I have shopped at pawn shops for decades and Cash American is one of the oldest pawn shops in history. It really disappointing to see them so far behind in technology. Especially now that we are living in a world of instant gratification.
I was actually referred to this app today Aug 18, 2020 by an employee at Valu + Pawn located at 2101 Altamesa Blvd in Fort Worth Texas. I was told Cash Pawn America are the owners of the pawn shop I mentioned and the employee told me that this has an inventory of any and everything I was looking for as I downloaded the App right there in the store. I told her that the app only had one star and her reply to why was because the app is new, but once I got settled at home at actually opened up the app, I quickly discovered that I could do absolutely nothing with this app. I couldn't locate a single store or browse anything. The particular pawn shop I named also has a reputation for being unprofessional at times, so I would recommend staying clear of it! Unbelievable!!
This app is totally pointless and worthless . There is absolutely nothing in this app . No inventory at all . The only thing it does is show you some store locations . If you’re going to make an app put in the effort. Do something with it. Have a way for each store to be able to post what they have on the shelves and maybe even what they have in the back . Most people shop online rather than actually driving to your store just to see if you have anything good .
Updates are supposed to improve the app, not take it backwards
I purchase very frequently from Cash America and used the app to find items. The old app had a favorite store option you could use to specifically search that store or stores in proximity to you. Loading items is jittery, doesn’t display properly. Location needs to be manually updated. It’s just garbage. The developer needs to go back to the drawing board, because this version is costing the company sales.
This has always been a shaky app with frequent glitches and crashes. This long overdue update appears to fix a few of those issues, but at a crippling cost. The full menu of search modifiers is gone, making it almost impossible to search inventory with any sort of targeted efficiency. The previous version was clumsy and primitive, but did have some functional tools. Now that is gone. No more ability to define the distance range of store location, no more ability to search by price range after a key word is entered. In addition, many of the old issues remain. The same item is repeated several times, randomly, in a query return list, for example. After literally years of waiting for an upgrade, this is a big disappointment.
It’s easy to wonder what the purpose of this app is. To annoy potential customers? To drive away business? Searches are really clumsy, except for those times when they are totally useless because the link to the inventory database is broken. The website version is poor, but does actually provide some information much of the time, however at the time of writing this review, that too is unable to return any search results.
I was interested in browsing the pawn shop merchandise. You'd think they would have an incentive to make it easy to search. It's nearly impossible to search items on the app. It looks like the store must hand type a rough now that gets uploaded. You'll get further if you misspelled common words or only use the first few letters in an items name.
It down loads and appears to open. With no functions a total waste of time. Don’t bother I was hoping to see inventory, or at least store Location. There’s nothing just kind of a basic placeholder app, no pertinent information or functionality like somebody made it and forgot about it.
The app is barebones. Existing only as a placeholder I think. There’s so much potential: add a login so we can see what we’ve purchased, what we have on layaway etc…. Include a pay portal so that we don’t have to wait in line for 45 mintutes to pay for our layaways… so much it could be
Keeps crashing when it’s trying to look for a location I live in Atlanta it’s not that hard there on every corner however I was told to download this app by them because they didn’t want to look in there inventory had me drive out 40 mins for something they mislabeled super frustrating
Downloaded this app hoping it would function better than the website. I was wrong. It’s even worse, if that’s possible. The app crashes within seconds of opening on my XS Max. Don’t waste your time. You’ll have better luck calling each location and asking if they have something.
Need the option the rate zero stars. The search didn't work at all. Nothing displays no matter what you search. The app store should be ashamed to even have fake junk apps to even be on the store. Isn't there a check or requirement to make apps available? Completely useless.
This app is still worthless. It doesn’t let you search for anything in any of the stores and it doesn’t even bother to load. It’s like they gave up on the app. I guess I’m better off calling the stores or going in person to see what they have.
With Covid and stay home stay safe occurring now, it would be nice if someone took the time to log and list what is actually in stock at your store. It’s rather frustrating that you advertise your app on the front page of your website just to send people to the app for them to find NOTHING LISTED.
Downloaded the app and it wouldn’t load. Uninstalled and downloaded it again...same issue. Can’t see anything other than store logo and a spinning loading icon then it crashes and closes out on its own. Really disappointing. Hope you fix it soon.
I would give 0 stars if possible. Need a new developer team for the app. With pandemic can’t use effectively and don’t know which location may have an item I’m looking for. Hope someone is reading this.
Thought I would update, lost functionally, mistake.
Had a version that had favorite or watched items and stores. Handguns and pistols were separate categories. Pistols and handguns are now lumped together and lost my watched list. Really hoped the store address would show store name. The search function will not show store inventory. Really miss the watch list and ability to see sold items. Never had much hope for the app anyway, but older version was better for me.
Every time I try to open the app it times out & says try later, it happens all hours of the day and night. I tried deleting and reinstalling to no avail. Please fix to restore my 4 star rating!
The app keeps crashing. After numerous attempts of uninstalling and reinstalling still doesn’t want to work. Definitely need to fix this because now I’m annoyed and don’t want to shop here.
The results aren’t sortable. I called several stores and they don’t even have the items listed in the results. What other function does the app have if it can’t do the only thing it’s supposed to do?!
They do not have pictures of the product. Neither is it detailed. Also does not tell what type of condition the product is in. Useless app. Might as well go to the store.
No clue why they even created an app. Literally nothing on it works. It won’t even pull up stores near you. It won’t load merchandise. It does absolutely nothing. It truly deserves zero stars, even one is too generous.
Looks like the information is way behind as far as inventory goes. Was just at the local Cash America looking for an item that the app says they have, in which case they don’t.
I do use the app, and it is better than nothing. However, the saved item feature is not working properly. I can still star a favorite item, but when I use the menu to go to my favorites list, nothing added recently shows up. Curiously, all my older favorites are still there, but nothing newly added to my favorites is visible. The app needs sort options, including: highest to lowest price, newest to oldest, and vice-versa. As others have stated, a pic would go a long way toward motivating me to drive over and see the item in person. Hopefully, the new company will update the app.
It feels incomplete. It is unheard of for a pawnshop to have an app, but I think it's a great idea. But it feels clunky and it must have images. I realize what an undertaking it would be to take a photo of every item in one shop, much less over 800 of them. But in order for this app to actually be useful and get people into the store, you need at least one picture. Also the jewelry description is really hard to understand. There is also the thing where when I click on an item and then hit back, I want it to go back to where I was. I don't want to have to scroll back down again. Anyway it's a new app so I hope there are updates.
The app is good. I like being able to search for items, however it would be so much better if there were pictures of the actual items. And better information pertaining to the descriptions of items. A lot of the items listed have very LITTLE helpful information when it comes to the description.
The app can be a bit buggy, but whenever it doesn't list items, I just close and reopen. Saved me $150 on an iPad today that was marked $200 in the store and only $50 on the app. Cashier was more than helpful, didn't even know they had an app.
