I love so many things about this app! But, I'm just going to mention a couple which are more important to me: 1. The app opens on the cover of the Bible. You may choose to read from the Old Testament or the New Testament. You don't have to scroll past all the books of the old before getting to the new. Great feature! 2. When you open a chapter in a book, the app changes the font of that chapter to italic so you know you've read that chapter. I love this because I've been reading different books each month. If I forget to read a chapter, finding that it's not italicized is a great reminder! 3. It's easy to mark any verse that happens to stand out to you. Just quick click on the verse gives you the choice to "Favorite", "Share", or "Cancel". Then, to find these favorites, simply click on "Bookmarks" at the bottom. All verses/chapters you've marked will show up. Although, I'd love for these to be sorted by Old and New Testament, at least I can find what I've marked. Rather than just offering a Catholic version of the Bible, this app makes the Bible an interactive, living document. ♥️
I like how it opens up with the focus being the bible. For me, when I just want to look something up, I don't care to look through a whole list just find the bible. There's other fun features that come with it like a saint of the day and catholic news which is fun but those are separated. Plus, these features are a nice indication that this app is being maintained and updated. It's well organized, easy to use, and makes looking stuff up a breeze. Of course, nothing replaces a hard copy but as digital bibles go, this one is my favorite.
The Bible keeps me close to the LORD while I am on the go. I enjoy the daily readings but I would really like to be able to be able to read a random Bible passage or chapter at whim. It would also be nice to be able to be able to flip through pages in addition to the current layout. As for the content, it cannot get better. If you are suffering currently, either physically or spiritually, I recommend that you download this app, it might just bring you closer to the LORD. Prayer is Powerful, thanks be to GOD.
I’ll start off by saying I’m not catholic, I’m Christian but I do plan on converting so I’m trying my best to learn about Catholicism and this Bible is my one source of information it’s good so far and I haven’t found too many problems except for the fact that you have to read it yourself, I’m busy most of the time with school work and I have to come home to finish all my undone work which takes forever and it would be great if the app was able to read to me cause I just can’t find the time to stop everything and read other than that it’s good from my experience so far
This app is straight up fire and I love the way everything is done, however every time I look for a quote pertaining to something on the internet it shows up differently than in this bible. I understand that those are using non-catholic versions of the Bible, and I was wondering what the specific type of Bible this was, such as KJV (King James Version), NIV (New International Version), ASV (American Standard Version), etc.
A very well done app, bringing the historical Word and Truth into modern time. The extra aspects under the “more” tab are wonderful. For example the Saint of the Day brings a new level of devotional thinking into the start of every day. And the Daily Reading recommended takes you to a deeper relationship with Jesus, the Truth, and the Word of our Lord God!
For the longest time I thought the app was messed up! It’s all black (text and back screen) in Dark Mode. When I turn off Dark Mode - boom - it works! Would be nice if the text turned white though so I could read w a darker screen. Thanks for the app!
I loved this app and used it to read the complete Old Testament with deuterocannon. I loved how easy it was to make notes and track which chapters had been read when returning to a given book. They are now asking for subscription payments to remove ads, and ever since that update, my screen is stuck in dark mode with the text remaining black, rendering the app unreadable and therefore unusable. Since it can’t be used I have to leave a one star review until it is fixed, which hopefully happens soon!
I loved this app because you were able to highlight and it has many cool affects like when you are done reading a chapter the numbers become slanted. Although now there is a new update and I am not able to highlight anything I want and all my highlights I had before are gone. Hope this can be fixed because the only thing that is keeping me from deleting the app is having all my notes erased.
Apologies for leaving a support message but I could not find any other way to contact support. Not sure if the app updated recently or not, but for the past week it just comes up with black screens for where text should be. It’s not just in the readings, but all over the app. I’ve removed it and re-added it several times and no luck.
helps with my religion homework (not in a cheating way!) and also helps me with understanding God and his plan more especially when im on the plan and dont have my bible i just read off my phone! and just really love as a catholic🥰 as a 7th grader im approving that everyone needs Jesus cause its not gonna hurt to believe/know him!
An app focused only on the Bible, not just a daily verse(although it features a daily reading, which it selects and brings to you) or a missal, which only has the Mass readings, but a complete Bible right on your device. It is now especially easy to spend time reading scripture, thanks to this app..
There is a spelling error in Psalms 27: 3 The app is really good but there should be a way to reset whether or not the chapters have been read, for those of us who want to read it again at one point.
Great app with lots of content. I keep my phone on dark mode, though, and the app doesn’t make the font switch - so it ends up with black font against the black background iOS uses. Hoping for an update to address that soon.
One looks at the clouds and seeing a horse, another looks and sees nothing. Faith in the Lord gives me strength, and with this App I find peace. Wonderful App with ease you can scroll through the entire Bible and save passages that seem to speak to you. This is a great App!
I got this app in 2019. It worked great, had a nice feature where you could highlight verses, Saint of the Day bios and Catholic News Agency news. After some iPhone update or other, the highlight feature stopped working, the Saint of the Day is stuck on St. John de la Salle and every time you click on News it crashes. Also, the feedback link doesn’t work. Very disappointed as I really liked this version. Don’t get this!
If you cannot state on your app what version of the Bible this is I am never going to buy it. For all I know it’s exactly what I know but you have to tell me what I’m buying or I’m not buying anything nor am I going to download another app that will turn out to be of no value to me. So what is this?????
At 75 I was afraid to start reading the BIBLE again . But I downloaded it and found a wonderful and exciting world of truth and hope again . Easy to read and mark so I don’t get lost. What a way to go out of this world enjoying GODS word .

I find it useful to have this at my fingertips when I need to look up a verse. I would like to know which Catholic version of the Bible this is and who and when Imprimatur was given, but that doesn’t negate its utility.
I gave this a 3 because normally I would give it a 5 - but lately I cannot access any content on my iPhone 12 with the latest software update. The app is working fine on my iPad. Please fix as this is a good simple to use app.
I had another app, but it got slower and slower. This one is fast and be used off line...bravo! There are ads, and I am hoping they offer a paid version.
I enjoyed doing daily readings but with a recent change I can no long read verses. I can select Old or New Testament, the Book and the chapter but can read the words within the chapter. Very disappointing. Looking for a new app to use.
My only issue is that whenever I have my device on dark mode while I’m using the app, the text is too dark to read. Please fix it when you can. Bless you. 🙏
I wish it had a dark mode. The chapters are written like a series of small texts in almost a notes app way which i dislike i wish it was more book feeling and was actually the letters on the book.
I love this app, but every time I select news the app crashes. This has been happening for almost 2 years. I’ve been waiting for an update that could address this, but noting :(
My favorite is the daily reading. Sometimes I will start with the reading and end up reading several chapters. I also like the highlighting and bookmarking features. My iPad is outdated but the Bible app works great.
I really want to use this app; but advertising, no way. I’d suggest a trial period for free and then a small fee to purchase. Another possibility would be to simply put in a donate button. I always try to flip some thank you cash to developers I appreciate. Until there’s a way to get rid of the advertising, and I’ll pay for it, this is deleted. 😕
I love how the list of chapters fade in appearance once read... however I wish that they would remain that way even after background apps are all clear.
I love most thing about this app and use it daily, but I’ve realized on many occasions it doesn’t capitalize God’s titles (Lord, Father, He, Him, etc). I feel like this is slightly irreverent and makes it’s confusing at times when there are many people in a story and they’re all referred to as “he.”
ATT: MALWARE Igot charged $64 for a poorly translated version of this bible. My phone has my card information; I knew there were IN app charges. I was charged for the DOWNLOAD ALONE; after that, the app had ads, and wanted to charge for a membership to remove the ads. Now, my App Store is disabled for idk what reason. This app is malware. I now need to bring my phone into the shop.
This Catholic Bible app is amazing. Before I had installed this, I just felt like I never had the time to read the whole bible, but with this app you can quickly and easily read any chapter!

It is so nice to have the Holy Bible at your fingertips. It is very well done and easy to use. Though I do still like holding the Bible in my hands, but this app makes it so easy
The translation is among the worst I have ever read. It’s like the translator was trying to interpret rather than just translate word for word. There are important details missing in the Deuterocanon. This is not a translation for someone who wants to read these books for the first time. You will absolutely get the wrong message.

This is a great little app. When I'm on the run and can't bring my physical Bible with me, this does the trick. I also love the the Daily Verse feature.

Pop up add. It doesn’t even stop when you click on it and buy it. No x button to close it. It’s along the bottom so I’ve taken a cardboard-like piece and tape it to phone when I read bible.
I’ve been reading this for a long time and enjoyed it but then came upon disturbing error. Zechariah 6: instead of quoting Joshua, it quotes Jesus throughout the chapter. This is big error in the Old Testament. How can I trust the other chapters are written correctly.
I like the convenience of having the Bible in electronic format. However at times I want to read a particular section but don't have the exact reference. It would be very helpful if it had a search tool to lead me to the section I am looking for. God bless, Carlos reynoso
I had enjoyed this app for sometime now and then it was updated. How is it that I can see the books and chapters perfectly fine but the reading itself can not be seen. Why have an app for reading the Good News when it will not let you read the text.
