Civista Bank, formerly Citizens Bank is the best most honest and friendly bank in the Midwest. Since the recent growth of the bank to Indiana and western Ohio In Napoleon and the surrounding areas, the bank has remained the reliable home town bank that we have known and trusted for years. As a matter of fact, my father and Grandparents banked with Citizens (Civista) for as long as I can remember. Actually for several decades longer than I can recall. I know the family business was run with the help of Civista. I received my first car loan from Civista. And just about every loan in the family since. If you are looking for a friendly, reliable place to keep your finances, you really can’t do any better than right here at Civista.

First, I'm using an iPhone 8; not a big screen. This app wastes SO MUCH screen space on useless things. Right now, EVERY TIME I SIGN IN, I have to close the SAME two messages that I've seen for the last couple of months. That lets me get back almost 1/4 off my screen. Suggestion: once I've acknowledged a message, REMEMBER and don't show it again! Second, get rid of the chat button. It's ALWAYS in the way, I have used it ONCE and probably won't ever again, after they screwed up my account. Because of the chat button, I can no longer log out of my account on the app, because that stupid blue chat icon is covering the icon I need to use to sign out. THAT'S secure, I'm sure!! All in all, it lets me see my balances, move money between accounts, but that's about it. And isn't that what bank app supposed to do in the first place? You don't get extra marks and kudos for just hitting your target.

I’ve been using this app since the beginning, and I’ve rarely ever had problems. Balances, transfers, statements, etc, all available 24/7, within seconds of access of the app. Been very helpful and will continue to use for the foreseeable future.

I was very excited to find out that I could finally deposit checks with my phone in the newest update. However, this feature does not seem to be working properly. I choose the account I would like to deposit the check in, enter the amount, and take pictures of the front and back of the check, but after that point, the screen goes blank and I am unable to successfully deposit any checks…

This app works nearly as well as that of much, larger banks, such as USAA, Federal Savings Bank. It has an elegant, simple interface that is intuitive and easy to understand and use. I don’t spend time trying to figure out how to do things.

Generally like the app, but since a recent update, I have problems with it on my phone. When I try to click on specific accounts, I accidentally click on “financial tools”. When I do this I can’t get out of it to click on the items I want. I have to exit the app and start over. This is very annoying. I use an iPhone

Easy to navigate! I have been with citizens/civista since I was a teenager! More than 50 years ago! The customer service and friendly people at your branches are second to none! Thank you for always being there for me and my family.

This app is so user-friendly!! I love that I can link my other bank accounts using this app and see all my activity. Such a quick reference at my fingertips. Such a wonderful tool to have for every day use! Go Civista!!

This app allows me to do almost all of my banking from my phone. My only complaint is that I wish there was a way to add a custom name to individual accounts. On the main dashboard I see all the accounts I am linked to, but only by type. If I could add custom names, I could see “Mom’s savings”, “My Checking” etc.

I love it. They have been there helping me through my life changes. What issues that life has thrown at me I could always count on them helping me find a solution. I don’t think they even realize how much it has meant to me.

This version is the worst. There are several steps you must follow to see what payments are pending. This resulted in paying the same bill twice in the same month. The prior version would warn you if that 2 payments were scheduled and require you authorize or cancel one of the payments. This change makes me think about changing banks and I’ve banked at this bank system for 50 years.

I love the app. It’s so convenient. I can deposit checks from my phone. I work while the bank is open so it’s hard to deposit checks in person. The people that set up my account were very nice too!!

I like everything EXCEPT the chat icon partially covers the menu icon and when I attempt to log out or choose another action I have to wrestle with “penny” to get it out of the way. Until that was added this app had perfect!

I prefer this app to several others I’ve worked with. It’s quick, easy to navigate, and I never have access issues.

This bank bought my old bank and it has been awful ever since! The policies are so horrific and predatory!! I moved my primary banking elsewhere. I still have my old account open because it’s tied to so many other autopays but I’m just waiting it out until I move and can cut them all off. Seriously, stay away. Fifth Third wannabes! It’s truly that bad!! To be clear, the people are nice, it’s the policies that are terrible!

I’m able to have all my accounts linked together for easy transfers. Plus I love that you can deposit checks now too!

App is very easy and convenient. Not sure about other banking apps but this one is so easy for me I’ve refused to switch banks for the simple reason of the convenience it offers me.

I really like this app because it’s easy to check my account every morning. It’s also easy to do other banking needs like transferring money.

Really enjoying the new upgrades, especially being able to categorize your spending and view as chart.

On bill pay I would like to know when the check clears my checking account instead of having to go back-and-forth

I have been a customer of UCB for a long time and when CIVISTA took over they changed the app and the experience! I rate this 5 out of 5 for my everyday purposes.

Can see your account transactions and move money to other accounts easily.

I love my mobile banking app! It is so convenient and allows me to do everything i need to do for my home banking needs.

Super easy to use! My favorite part is being able to deposit checks from my phone.

Previously had issues with log in and needed to have one line staff reset vs having a customer online /web based oriented reset option like most other financial institutions. Which is still a needed option .

Thanks for such an easy to use app. most apps I loose or forget my password this one has kept my info safe and handy.

Definitely easy to use. I haven’t tried anything too difficult but very happy so far.

Graphics make the information easier to find. Working with more than one electronic device l still get my identity questioned but getting past that is pretty simple and doesn’t take a lot of time. It is confusing that calls to the bank are routed to Sandusky rather than my local bank. The transition has been pretty seamless and I am satisfied.

Civista has created an easy to use banking app. I appreciate the convenience of taking care of my banking needs on the go.

Very good customer service and if there is a problem they fix it for you fast!! It’s all you can ask for in a bank !

After going paperless it is a breeze to review past transactions!

This app is wonderful! I use it often to transfer funds and check my balance.

Navigating when you ask a question and then try to get back to the main menu/account is not very user friendly. Gotten frustrated many times.

Greatest app ever for or from Civista bank. I’ve been banking with them since they hand wrote entries into my savings passbook.

Love the fact that you can do as much online as in person. So easy to navigate.

This is one of the worst apps I've ever used. It constantly makes me type my password in instead of using passcode and faceid and half the time when I type the correct password in it won't work. I've seriously thought about switching banks just so I don't have to use this app.

Works well. I like how you can unlock your account without having to call in haha. I lock mine a lot! Thank you

Once the app was redesigned, I started having login issues. The main problem is, the Face ID never works. I have to manually type my password in each time.

Your mobile app is a life saver when it comes to monitoring and managing my money.

Only wish I could stay signed in. But being secure is important. Otherwise very good!

I have never had a single issue with the app.
