I just downloaded the app prior to going on an Edge sailing and you can see the ship in your own living room! So fun. I saw a lot of reviews that it doesn’t work but I am on Wi-Fi and allowed access to camera, location and Bluetooth and it worked great for me.
Celebrity’s website, while graphically appealing, is information lite. Their ship information is nothing more than a deck plan (helpful) and marketing (waste of time). I can’t get any of my questions answered! I hoped this app would fill the gap. Inexplicably you not only have to be on the ship for it to work, you are instructed to point your camera to the floor for it to work. Presumably to determine location. Obviously useless to plan a trip - my purpose. Even useful from my stateroom?
My wife and I are considering a cruise on the Edge’s new sister ship Apex and we were hoping to see the video “tour” of the Edge as a preview. However, the app won’t play as it demands that location services be turned on. I have the most recent iOS on my iPhone 8, but Celebrity's app still only has audio -but video doesn’t show.
The iOS version doesn’t work. Keeps loading over an over. Sometimes asks for a wi-fi connection, and mine is connected, but no difference. The loading process starts over and over.
You’ve got to be on the boat for most of the content to even work. Very little useful info for planning a trip or most importantly what you might see/ experience on a trip. Not worth the time.
You can only see the intro unless you are on the ship. If you are on the ship who wants to keep looking at their phone instead of the actual ship? Garbage app-delete!
I have been trying to use this app and it is not working. The only things I can see are the “magic carpet” and the “bubbles”. We are booked on this cruise for November, 2019 and really wanted to get the tour beforehand!
