Good potential, not quite working as expected
I really need this to be seamless on multiple Macs, iPhone, and iPad, but the sycning isn’t carrying everything over. Tasks are in sync, but choices in settings and contexts I create need to be repeated on each device. I’ve tried to find information about this to see if I’m doing something wrong, but I haven’t found anything helpful yet. Still hopeful it will be the perfect organization tool, if I can get it working right! UPDATE: I added a star. The developer responded prompty to my email inquiry, and syncing is working fine now. Looking forward to using it more, to get a better feel for it, but so far it seems great!

The one i have been looking for . . .
I am an organizational fanatic and it is both a blessing and a curse. As soon as I see a new project manager on the app store I am a buyer.I signed on early with Chaos Control. If you think about how the human mind process information you soon discover that we all need something simple and easy to use - an application that we can get up and running in minutes for basic tasks, recording execution dates and making plans for the day. The second need is to handle the ongoing challenges we face in our personal and professional life where planning and pulling together resources takes a bit more structure and a more comprehensive application. Finally for those who run a business or at the very least a very complicated life where projects demand a more sophisticated and multi level planning platform becomes a necessity. There are applications that aim at each of these levels,(I have a hard drive full of them) but I have never found one that addresses all three so elegantly or most importantly SIMPLY. I live as many do on a daily calendar and need to be able to update what happened and what didn’t happen within seconds at the end of the day. I don’t have the time to go multi level fishing for something I need to adjust on the fly. I also keep more than one calendar and I need to export this information to another platform. Finally, found a life partner here. Absolutely beautiful and intuitive interface.

i've been looking for something like this for a long time!
i've tried many project management apps and ones online and haven't found one that quite fit the way my flow and way of organization. Chaos Control does this for me! the big thing for me is the way projects (or goals) can be organized with folders and context. this really cleared things up me! the interface is also clean and easy to navigate. there is also a section dedicated to tutorials on how to better use the app, which i really appreciate. it didn't take long for me to decide to purchase the full version. if i were to have one suggestion for the developers, i feel it would be nice to be able to choose from a few more color schemes. in my opinion, the light theme is too bright for macOS Mojave. and the dark theme is nice, but not too inspiring. but i don't know. i'm no expert. the app does get the job done and does it well. so maybe adding features like more themese might not be inline with what the app is supposed to do (control chaos). i guess i am suggesting for additional themes because i am a very visual person. anyway, thank you so much for developing a great app. i look forward to future development on this!

Switched To-Do Apps; Right Price
Wanted to combine my "work flow" app and my work on the same device (syncing not necessary for me) and needed some project management power. Chaos Control provides the basics more than adequately. Only problem is I sometimes forget to close out my daily tasks on the day. If I check them off the next day, they get completed for that day, as well, making that day's task list incomplete.

Best one I’ve found over many years of using other methodologies
Chaos Control’s strength is that it does not go too far with features that start to muddy the waters. I’ve tried several techniques in CC to manage my list of things to do TODAY, and now I’ve got a better way to do it, than using the Daily Plan. And it works great for me because I always have too many things in Daily Plan than I can get done in one day. In short I’ve created a project called DO TODAY. I first review the Daily Plan and move very important things from there to DO TODAY. Then I take a look at Daily Plan and readjust any due dates, as necessary. If something on DO TODAY is not done by the end of the day, I start the next day by finishing up the list, then cycle back to moving things from Daily Plan to DO TODAY process to get the list for of tasks for the rest of today. I have also used contexts to mark all of the things that I will do today, but the method I described, above, seems to work the best

This may be the app I've wanted for 8 years
I've been using this app for about 5 days and so far I love it. It's increased my productivity because I know where to find the top priorities - you can add due dates and everything is organized into projects. Makes it pretty easy to implement the GTD system in a way I could never get sorted as well in evernote. Syncing is seamless and pricing is reasonable. My only potential concern for the future will be whether this app keeps our data private. So far the privacy policy included inside the app looks promising.

I like the interface, and it’s been reliable for me.
I’ve tried dozens of task list apps on iOS and Mac, and this is among my favorites. The interface looks at home on MacOS and iOS, unlike that ugly Material Design stuff. It’s intuitive how to use it. I’ve created folders, projects, and tasks on my Mac , iPhone, and iPad, and it all seems to synchronize reliably. I am still using this one, unlike most of the rest that I tried. I like the “buy it and use it” model, since subscription-based apps cost more over time. Quite happy with Chaos Control!

Great product, even better support
I've never written an app review before but I use Chaos Control almost daily. It works perfectly for keeping tasks organized (and fresh in my mind). More importantly, I had a glitch with the auto-renewal process and the developer responded to me immediately, tracked the problem down, and made sure it got fixed. High recommend.

Almost as good as the rest
I’ve been using this app for a while now, and it does everything every other app does. No material design, so it’s not as pretty as the others. On the other hand, there are no subscriptions fees. If you buy itm, it’s yours. It’s all a matter of preference.

Great app
Have been using Chaos Control since when it was young and have kept up with it all these years. Has great functionality, design, and if ever any quirky bugs showed up, the development team has been super responsive. A rarity and appreciated.

One organizational app to rule them all.
I’ve been a master of organization since the 80s using the Franklin planner system. Through GTD. Through a dozen apps and my own cobbled-together systems. Chaos Control dominates them all and has doubled my productivity. So glad to have found you. Skip the others and jump right in here.

won’t open
I was excited to download this and begin to use it today. However, it gave me an error message on my computer, asked to send a report to Apple, and gave me the option to Reopen; but, it will not re-open. It just keeps popping back up with the option to send a report. It’s fine on my phone but not on my MacBook. I have no way to find out what’s happening. I plan to just use another app if I can’t get a response nor use this on my MacBook. Any help please?

Not just a task manager
I have really come to depend on Chaos Control to help me reach my goals, both short-term and long-term. The app helps me to create and track projects that I can then see real progress toward. I have tried many other task managing apps, and this one is the best!

Beware
Spent the extra money and purchased a lifetime license only to find out a month later it doesn't include any of the new updates like I was led to believe it would. Greedy and misleading developers don't deserve my money. Deleting this app.

POOR SUPPORT AND A BAD APP
I am writing another review because my last revies did not even appear on the review section. This app is extremely poor functioning. The last update messed up the functionality. The app developer did not even acknowldege my concerns when I emailed them for support.

Won't move tasks to folders
Such basic functionality is totally broken. It isn't promising of rest of the app.

Great solution for users on multiple platforms
I have had a hard time finding a good planner / task manager because I want the convenience of checking and re-organizing my tasks on my phone but HATE typing everything out on a haptic keyboard. The fact that Chaos Control works on Mac, iOS, Android, and Windows, and does so seemlessly, has been a game changer. I also really appreciate that you can buy a lifetime license across all platforms instead of just a subscription -- the flexibility in payment options is a nice change of place from other apps that offer half the features for twice the price. My favorite feature is being able to nest folders inside of folders when working with projects, as it helps me divide up my work into neat categories. If I could add one feature, it would be the ability to copy-paste tasks on mobile (although it may already be implemented and I just haven't figured it out).

Not as good as things.
Plus: Nested projects with folders Minus - contexts and UI not as clean as things. Get things.

Needs a good deal of work...
This app is great in theory. However, there are several bugs and glitches that make it difficult to use. There are also features missing that make it problematic - no alarms, difficulty creating repetitive projects or tasks, no way to really establish daily routines or plan your day. I used another app that did not offer a Mac option… so I purchased this to have one planning app for my Mac Book, iPhone, and iPad. It does interface well… but there is much work to be done on this app. $25 for the app for my Mac and $5 for the iPhone/iPad also makes it quite expensive. I am disappointed in general. Lets hope it gets better!

Terrible app for GTD… Avoid!
Don’t call your app a GTD app if it doesn’t even have the most basic GTD concepts built-in. There are no distinguished Next Actions / Someday lists unless you manually create them (and there are hundreds of list apps that can be manually configured for GTD use). The only elements of GTD that are there by default are an “Inbox” and a scheduled actions section. But, you can’t convert tasks to projects. You can’t add existing tasks to a project as a subtask. You can’t select multiple tasks for editing multiple tasks (i.e. deleting multiple tasks, etc.). I am requesting a refund from Apple immediately, as this app has misrepresented it’s usefulness.

Does not work properly
I bought the app because it seemed the like the best. However once I spend my money and started using it, its not worth what i paid. First its very glitchy. It does not sync properly, I downloaded specially for the syncyng with other devices. But it does not sync properly, it only syncs half the information. Some things are hard to delete or wont delete. This app is definitely still in the trial phase. Be cautious when purchasing it.

seamless, and I mean SEAMLESS cross-platform AND multiple mobile syncing
Reasonably priced, constantly updated... Windows and Mac, Android, iOS - you're covered... Calendar, task, reminders, etc integration - check. GTD fundimentalists or GTD as you want to be, this app keeps your working style uncluttered and does not impose a particular structure on you. If you are a GTD newbie, there is a very useful and CONCISE help section to remind you about what some of the GTD terminology is and how it is used. Also great as a simple to do list with bullet-proof synching! I have been looking for something like this for a long time!

Nice start on a promising GTD app
The app is a nice attempt to design a personal project and task organization tool. It has a reasonably clean interface and a good Android companion. It has many similar features with other top organization tools with GTD support like advanced GTD-aware tools Todoist, Ticktick, or Nirvana. A strong point of the tool is a hierarchical organization of folders that store projects (lists), which allows for a more advanced organzation than TickTick or Nirvana that use only one level of project aggregation (folders and areas). With that, it could support people with larger number of complexity of diverse tasks. It also have "contexts", which is a necessary feature of an advanced GTD approach. Main weakness is the "engage" part of GTD that support acting - it is much less developed than in similar advanced apps mentioned above - few views, no complex filters, not clear "next task" center. Hope, it will be the focus for the next stage of development. In the past, main advantage was the ability to purchase once rather than pay monthly, but now it is sold as a service and lost this advantage. From my prospect, some other advanced apps, like Todoist has the same strong sides as Chaos Control, including hierarchical project organization, while doing better engagement and adding other perks for about the same price. With pricing advantage lost, this app needs to offer other strong unique features that are not yet supported by competitors.
