So far, so good!
This is the first charting system that has ever worked for my son and we have tried many systems. It’s only been one week and we are still tweaking and adding opportunities to earn checks and stars but he loves seeing the stars and marks add up and he loves the chimes when he earns trophies. He’s even started going out of his way to do things without being asked. It’s definitely a work in progress, but so far so good! ...3 weeks in and it’s still working! Still tweeking...like adding opportunities for earning points by choosing calming exercises, making smoother transitions between activities and taking initiative to practice kindness. The trick seems to be using the app only for positive behaviors and not as an overtly manipulative tool. Keeping it fun and positive!

Mom of 3 and BCBA in training...
So I work at a behavior school and we use a token economy system...that gave me the idea to use this chart at home with my sons. They all work for (stars) quarters, and when we go to the store, they are required to use their own money for anything they WANT in the store. I only buy what they need and what I want to buy for them. Believe it or not, they "get it" at 5, 6 and 9. This works extremely well when I follow through. They like getting their allowance and they love being able to go in the stores and interact with the cashier. Other people in the store always comment about how great it is they they are learning responsibility and the value of money at such an early age. I have boys that will grow to be men one day, and I want them to form good habits, learn responsibility, and be financially savvy adults. This app is great, and I have no complaints that I can think of at this time. I recommend it to friends and other parents all of the time. It is worth every penny of the $4.99...if for no other reason that getting my kids to do chores are A LOT less frustrating. *Now I just have to figure out how to use it at work...🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Privacy risk
2022 review edit: I’d like to sync devices with my kids, since they are older now. It appears that the only way to do that is using dropbox, which presents significant privacy concerns as well as security concerns. I attempted to email customer support for Chore Pad to see if there was another option and the email bounced back saying the address was no longer correct. The developer website is also unsupported. And there is no privacy policy for chorepad in the App Store. I’m bailing on this app and looking for something that is still supported and more secure. A shame. First tried this app when the kids were four and six and it didn't work so well. Sticker charts with immediate tangible rewards worked better then. But now the kids are eleven, nine, and five, and it's working great as a summer chore chart. They're old enough to appreciate the value of saving up for the rewards they really want. And I finally have help with the mess! I wish they would add and an icon library or a way to access emoticons for the rewards chart. And I wish they would add badges, like Fitbit offers. I use this chart for myself to keep track of my chores as well. It would be fun to get a badge for competent adulting!

10 kids works like a charm!
I have 10 children my oldest is 19 I bought this app when it very very first came out, and we have used it for many years! I still include my older children just to keep them on task, but my younger children love the thrill of earning stars, and hearing the tokens, go into their little bank account! I use another app called ChoreStick to get ideas for adding chores to their list on their individual tab. Sometimes we spin the sticks on ChoreStick just for fun when we’re doing a 15 minute family clean up but this chore chart is really worth the money for the day to day encouragement :) I would love to see some new background themes just a suggestion maybe also adding a list of chores for suggestions that are already automatically in the queue so you can just select pre-existing select chores and then add your own to the list. And another thing is that I would love it if I could assign more stars to one thing Other than just 10 stars. Thanks a mill! One Happy Momma⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩

Worth of every penny
Originally I downloaded a free version of this APP for my 7 year old son. After 1 day I saw how great it’s working, I got annoyed that a free version gives a little amount of chores to use. Normally, I would just delete APP and try something else for free. But this one really hooked me up. So I downloaded a full version APP, so glad I don’t need to subscribe, it’s just one time pay. It was a bit challenge to figure out how app works, I don’t like to read instructions and like to figure things out on my own, intuitively. So finally after everything was set up, I liked it so much, I added a chore pad for my myself!! My son and I sort of compete now. We have fun to create a reward system in this app, I think we just having the blast in this app! It’s so personalized! My chores are different from my son, I get a reward for driving without pick up a phone, waking up without grabbing a phone, even added a spiritual habits to my chores-why not!? Honestly, this is the best habit builder app for me, I tried others, so boring and plain...

We love it!
We have a household of three kids (11, 7, and 1) and two adults. My husband and I are both returning to outside the home full-time work for the first time in 2 years and were looking for an app to not only help the kids make sure they’re doing their chores and homework, but also a way for us to divide household duties so we can spend our free time together as a family instead of catching up on cleaning and cooking, it’s working very well. We use it on a centrally located iPad in the kitchen and the family is always checking on their assignments for the day and asking for their stars. My kids have even started asking to add chores, like helping cook dinner instead of just helping clean up! Winning for us!

Good to keep track of chores
I have a 4 year old and 8 year old and I’ve been “beta testing” chore pad. The kids need to see the chores getting checked off and their stars accumulating so I did just that - I put jars for them to accumulate stars and we have a list of chores on the fridge with the Star value along with rewards. My 4 year old loves it. My 8 year old is strong willed enough where he’s still fighting it. But it’s helping me to stay organized and consistent and that’s what the kids need. If I were to change or add anything, I would make it so the app is linked so everyone with a device can see. Then I can eliminate a physical chart.

Best Chore App out there
We used to own a magnet chore responsibility chart, but the magnets would fall and it was tedious to keep up with. Then we fell off the responsibility chart until we found this app. The app is easy to use, and very customizable to suit you. It definitely a must have for kids to understand responsibility and savings. The things I wish it had was setting up certain days for each chore as weekly or every other week is the option. Also more fun chore icons could be nice. Also you cannot refund the stars after payout. But you can easily just add stars as needed to repay in different way. All in all I highly recommend this app.

Needs chronological order of chores, not alphabetical
I have a child with autism and I bought this app as a means to track out his day. I love that I can customize it to do that, HOWEVER, it puts everything in alphabetical order and I really need to put things as I enter them, in chronological order. If you allowed this I would definitely give it 5 stars!!!

Love it
My 4 and 7 year old love getting stars and seeing clear expectations for the day. I like that I can sync the app with my phone. It's really easy to use and set up. My one wish for the app is that you could exchange stars for virtual items (like a robot or accessories for an avatar). Their reading app does this and they get very excited about "shopping" for new items. We don't do allowance or really want to get into paying for chores do this would be a really nice option. They love the trophies feature on this app. Overall, this app is worth every penny.

Cool App!
I’m not gonna lie! I don’t have kids! :) I’ve searched and researched for an app like this! I’m big on a to do list and getting ‘rewarded’ for healthy habits and doing things to keep our house running smoothly. My rewards are usually books, a day away by myself with no responsibilities or manicures and pedicures. I’m a numbers girl so this app works very well for my brain! I love the scheduling aspect of it too! Keeps my daily to do list up to date! 😊

I love this app I used to hate doing chores but now I love it it is so easy to earn rewards and have fun at the same time I love this app it is worth the money and even the trial run app is good I got the full version because I have so many chores to get done but I still think both trial and full version are great I definitely recommend this app and it Is worth the pay

No family share
So I paid $5 and set up chore lists for each kid (5 kids). Then I gather their iPads to put their chore lists on and realize... there is no family share for this app. $5 again for each of the 5 kids iPads? Oh heck no. Wish I could get back the original $5 since I will not be able to use this app. It’s a shame. Seemed like it might have been a fun thing to try.

It’s a YES for me!
Love this app! Very user friendly. Love the ability to custom my board. Only thing I’d ask the developer to consider is for the app to be able to be linked across devices with parent lock so the kids can visually see it on their phones or gadgets. My kids have gotten so used it they often ask to see my phone so they can see their performances. Other than that — Good stuff! 👌

Daily schedule
It’s a great app and I searched for something like this for weeks! I’d love to see 2,features: 1. Items set for specific days don’t show up on the other days. Now it shows up with a gray box that can’t be filled in. 2. I’d like an easier way of editing a box in the moment as I’m checking it off without having to unlock the child and edit it using a whole process

Your app support is not working and your sync is not working
Update...I finally figured out how to give a -1 point...the kid has to be assigned to the chore for that day to get a negative point 😜! love everything about the app but 2 things (read below)...if they fix the two issues I’ll give it a 5/5. I love that you can customize your pictures and chores. You can have different chores for each kid too which is terrific for different ages. 1. I tried to touch the help button in the app and it kept logging me out of the app. Then I tried going on here and it would not let me send you a msg...only write you a review. It looks like your support tools for help are not working. 2. It will not sync between all of my devices...trying to sync it to my kids iPads so they know what chores to do. Frustrated!!! Fix the help problem please to send an email to you from the app.

Amazing
I just downloaded this app today. The customization is amazing, being able to add custom days to schedule rewards and using any image for a icon is fantastic. I made a 1 minute tickle time as a 15 pt. reward and my kids were putty in my hands. Takes a bit to set up, but very user friendly, worth it!

Great chores app
Really love this chores app. My kids do most of their chores now because of this app and I can track what has not been done. It is also teaching them about checklist and taking responsibility. We have individual kids chores and family chores, which everyone helps out with.

Point redemption crashes with new iOS update.
It’s been a few weeks since I reported this bug with the company and it still hasn’t been fixed. Basically, since iOS latest update, the app crashes when redeeming points for prizes. Please fix this soon, we use this app daily and my child is frustrated that his points keep accumulating for his chores, but he can’t claim his prizes. Thanks.

Love this app.
I’ve had this app for years. It didn’t work well when my boys were younger, but at 13 and 11, I think it is working good. One boy is great about keeping his room clean and doing his chores. The other...not so much. Hoping this will be the incentive he needs. And my 8 year old as well.

Don’t Buy - Not Active
I loved this app at first, it was just what I wanted for tracking chores and rewarding my kids but after a day it stopped syncing with their devices. The app hasn’t been updated in 6 years and their website and Facebook page are inactive. Don’t waste your money unless you’re only using it on one device and therefore don’t need it to sync up with your child’s device.

App needs an update badly
I want to start by saying how much we love this app because of how customizable and intuitive and user friendly it has been for us for years. We use this app for our adult day program, for developmentally disabled adults. It perfectly helps remind them of tasks and check them off when completed, to ensure they are getting the services they are supposed to receive and allows administrators to check the service providers’ records against the client’s records. We have been using it for years and there is nothing else on the market remotely like it. The app allows us to upload client pics for icons, to keep service tasks easily recognisable for clients who don’t read well, and the spreadsheet format of tasks down the side, and days of week across the top is simple and intuitive for staff to follow. We can see get the week of tasks at a glance, and we can scroll back to make sure tasks were done last week, or see if an activity is consistently being refused. Some clients have 20 tasks that are being tracked at different repeating intervals, over the year. The only thing it doesn’t have is reminders for 6 week, quarterly, biannual and annual intervals, as the longest repeating interval is “every 5 weeks.” You would think these would be standard features for chore apps, but they aren’t, and this old standby is getting really glitchy. I just had it get stuck in sync on one iPad and have tried everything from offloading and restarting and reloading, to deleting the old sync files (which was years of data), to erasing all accessible connections to the app from the iPad. Still, when I reload the app, it opens automatically to the last sync that was running when it glitched and crashes. I’m afraid my only hope is to factory reset the iPad, which will cost us even more data. I have searched three days for an alternative app. There is nothing else that does what this app does so simply. It’s down to the last resort, and hopefully that will work, but Chore Pad LLC needs to update this soon, so this app remains relevant. I can’t be the only one who desperately needs it to do the simple stuff it does beautifully at an affordable price. I would pay the purchase price again to keep it working another 5-10 years.

Horrible workflow and onboarding
Too many issues to list them all here. You can't create an account and sync across devices without Dropbox (apparently you can't even do that - I installed it on my iPad and iPhone but there's no way to sync across devices). Can't install on your kid's device so they can access the list of chores. Can't skip the welcome tour. Can't do multi actions at once. This app feels like it was designed for kids more than for parents to a set up. Deleted the app and wasted my money.
