I wanted to leave a positive update my review from a few days ago.. Within an hour or less of my negative review every issue I was having with the app was fixed. So, if you are having issues let me know. They will fix it. Thank you CosmoProf for your prompt response in resolving this matter! I changed my review from a 1 ⭐️ to a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. My original review is below. The CosmoProf app refuses to change my shipping address and refuses to finalize check out.⭐️
I get so frustrated with how slow the app is. It freezes and lags constantly whenever I use it. The last order I submitted asked me for the billing address for my credit card (I’ve had this information on my account for over 12 years). I entered the info (which they already had from past orders), but it wouldn’t let me submit my order because apparently it didn’t like the address, but it also wouldn’t let me edit it! I ended up deleting my card on file three times (because that’s the only way to edit the billing address), but each time I resubmitted the billing address, it didn’t recognize the address for whatever reason. I gave up, went to bed, and the next morning it finally accepted the address so I could finally submit my order. There is no reason why a company as big as CosmoProf cannot have a more user friendly app that is easy to navigate and functions properly.
Always cancel my order but never give me a heads up!
Cosmoprof never has items in stock, but the app let’s you buy items. They never tell you when items aren’t in stock. Cosmprof will cancel a shipment and never send one email about the order. It’s so confusing when you are waiting patiently for items and they never let you know they aren’t coming. I ordered 7 items with my last order, they sent me 3. I waited and waited for the rest of the items. I finally asked why I haven’t received my order with the order number and customer service was like, “Oh, those items were canceled”!! Send an email or text? The way they have this supposedly new app set up is better. They are still behind in orders and will not let you know items are canceled. I’m over them at this point. I hope they Cosmprof goes under. Waste of time on the app! Really is a shame. Customer service matters in the beauty industry. I wait and wait for products for my clients, and they ghost you with orders!
This app is extremely hard to navigate seems as though they have a lot of errors and problems with the app. Even just trying to place an order is a complete headache. I’ve placed an order. My order never came. I called next day and they told me they had to cancel my order because the app had ordered it from a store two hours away and could not be delivered. They told me I had to cancel the order and reorder online and pray this mistake doesn’t happen again, yeah right not trusting that, let alone try and place those items in my cart that’s extremely annoying to do on this app. So now I don’t have color I need for a client because of their mistake. therefore don’t even bother using this app unless you want nothing but disappointment and headaches for something you’d think would be so convenient and easy.
I was told that cosmoprof was not going to be carrying as much nail supplies anymore. I am a nail tech that has just started a business and I have to say that this is not good news for me. I also went in store and ordered a towel warmer. Over a month went by of me calling the store and asking if it has come in. I always got the same response. “We keep putting the order in but it hasn’t come in.” I finally said- forget about it and I’ll just order it online. I also could not find any emery boards which you would think there would be an abundance off. Sad to say that I will most likely be ordering most things directly from suppliers online. Seems that this is the new era of online ordering.
I love the new update if it only worked ! Everything is so much more easier , and quick to look through like prices and colors. I love that …. But it never works it always glitches . It don’t show any prices or will only show every 1/10 , won’t show my cart or won’t let me check out Ect …and just when I think it’s working ..bam ! Something else happens. I mean it has great potential just please make it work or fix the bugs or whatever is going on . Thank u! P.s I’ve been dealing with this for like 2 months. So usually I get annoyed and give up my orders cause of the hassle then go to the store … which has a down fall to because my store shelves are always bare….
I noticed many reviews from a year ago with 1 star ratings. I have the same issues with this app a year later. This app is awful, just awful. It usually takes me 2 days to place an order because of glitches and error notifications. Most of the time frustration makes me close it and walk away before I can complete one. Prices not listed, everything I put in the cart changes from “out of stock” and back, products just missing altogether from app, problems with payment, you name it. Glitch after glitch, every time I use it. Doesn’t look like anything is any better than a year ago. Buggy, glitchy app. And I’m stuck with the nonsense because I can’t get most of this stuff anywhere else. I truly hate this app.
As beauty industry professionals we need access to the products we use for our clients. Cosmoprof stores are hardly ever stocked with the products I need so I’m forced to order online. Not only is the cosmoprof app one of the least intuitive apps I’ve had to use (the website is absolutely no better) but it’s constantly MISSING products. I do not understand how cosmoprof is even still in business but we are held hostage and forced to use cosmoprof since we mostly cannot order directly from the companies. Shipping is ridiculous and the slowest I have ever experienced. When your stores are not even stocked properly and I have no choice but to order online the app and system should be adequate. This is the farthest from adequate.
Hi there my name is Theresa and my son is a software developer, specifically mobile app developer. I want to complement the app developer or developers. The last couple of orders I have made have been much more user friendly and less faulty. I am impressed at how smooth my order went today. I’ve learned a lot about this field through my son, who expects excellence out of his work. So I want to give credit where credit is do. Well done!!
I have tried for so long and for the past couple months this app has absolutely failed. The website isn’t very user-friendly either. I cannot place orders on the app. I cannot see history on the app. I cannot order for online pick up, everything says we’re sorry we encountered a problem. Please try again. Every single day every single day there is an issue. It never works right. For as much money as we spend at these types of stores, you’d think that their app would work. Get new app developers and fire whoever runs it now. You literally need to fix this in 2024 in the age of technology where everything is controlled by my phone and the app doesn’t even work.
Most products say zero dollars and then say “whoops, something went wrong” when I try to add to bag. If the product is out of stock it should say so but it’s very confusing. Stock is different on the website but I can’t select in store pick up on the website so no matter what I have to shop in store with how inconsistent everything has been for a long time.
Why do we have to call customer service to remove items from cart?
I usually add items to my cart as I run out. However, with things not always being delivered because of supply issues, I had to visit my local store to get or substitute what I needed for the upcoming month. I was unable to delete my cart or any single items to start over. I called customer service, who informed me that we have to call them to remove items now. What?! What an inconvenience! This will make me much less likely to purchase online. Can we work on this?
There’s so many things that need improvement. It’s impossible to get offers in store even for online pick up. I wanted an Olaplex offer for a free item with 40$ purchase. They couldn’t hinor it in store so I ordered online for pick up and the cart kept switching to shipping availability instead of in store even though they were “in store” prior to checkout and I saw it there in person. Salon centric has the same promotion so I ordered there with zero hiccups. Promo is also available in store. So I wasted half my day for nothing. Your store managers have no clue about anything and don’t even bother to try. Do better or just close already
this app is so unbelievably trash, it flickers, it closes, when I click on any category at all it says "no products to load for this category", it says the same thing when I look something up. I've had a membership here since 2019 and I own my own business so I buy stuff all the time- but apparently I have absolutely no purchase history, on the app or in person. they have alllllll my information: phone, email, address, etc, but they can't pull up a single receipt. looks like I've never shopped with them, and maybe I shouldn't. what kind of huge company has such a cheap system?
I updated to this app - I used the old one constantly- new one won’t let me sign in - tried forgot password but that doesn’t connect or send me an email - tried calling the number several times - NO RESPONSE!! So now I can’t use the app at all. Very frustrating. Even went to the store for help / nope!! Don’t bother
I downloaded the Cosmo prof new app, cosmo prof required me to. I placed an order with the new app on August 31, and it still hadn’t shipped as of September 9. I called customer service, they told me that my order didn’t go through so I missed out on the 40% off big bottle sale and I don’t have all the other supplies that I needed for the week either. There is nothing that can do about it… So now I have to rearrange my schedule and drive to the store to make sure that I have what I need. Maybe next time before they promote a new app so heavily they should make sure that it actually works before requiring their customers exclusively use that app.
If you plan on ordering through the app, you will be charged shipping and handling with no estimated time of arrival. So learn from my mistake and either go buy it in person yourself or if you order, order your order a week and a half in advance because it’s been 4 days and I got a partial order with no explanation and I’ve been borrowing product from a stylist to do my clients hair and/or denying clients and losing money. Also, pricing is random and one day you’ll buy something for one thing and the next it’s a complete other price.
I have had several instances where I placed an order for pick up and the items were not available after the fact. I don’t understand how this can happen so maybe we need to get this is an updated for the inventory to be correct. The worst part is I have to wait 5 to 10 business days for the charges to be added back to my account. Maybe do like Salon Centric and offer pay at time of pickup.
I’m always having problems with this app. It either takes forever to load something, every time I try to add something to my cart it says “something went wrong”, shows incorrect info so I always have to end up calling the store anyway for inventory check. The amount of times I’ve gone to have to go pick up something instead because my payment doesn’t go through is ridiculous. I’ve had it for almost 2 years and it’s never been smooth. There so much more, but I’ve already wasted too much time lol
I updated and everything and nothing will Load. It won’t find the nearest one even tho I know where it is , found it and clicked it but it acts like it’s not there. I typed in something easy like shampoo. Everything says same thing “ something went wrong , pick anothwr catorgory”. Shop tab shows nothing. I’ve opened and closed so many times. Turned on wifi and off. Checked my phone settings. Nothing is working now since update. I just had to do a security check and prove I’m human on the app. I passed lol. Still nothing
I’m sick of this app, they never give you the discounts advertised and the customer service hours are only during the week. I’ve been ripped off yet again by not getting my 10% overall discount and the quality discount and the 2 free items I was supposed to receive. Yet again, I have to wait till Monday to call and get this whole mess straightened out again. This is every time I order online. I suggest cosmoprof get their act together and fix this app that seems to be designed to rip you off.
The new app has incredible improvements! Besides the marketing going up, the way everything is arranged is beyond beautiful. The app runs smoother, has a cleaner look, and is overall more efficient! As always, love the prices too!!
I have not been able to shop at Cosmo Prof for months because they did away with physical membership cards and transitioned to the membership card on the app only. The app booted me out a while ago and has never let me login since. It always says there is an error logging in and to try again. But yet I can login online without a problem. Unfortunately, they do not give you access to your card online. So until they fix this, I will continue to only shop at their competitor.
This app used to be decent but for months now idk what been going on with it and customer service is trash and doesn’t help. I used to place order online and pickup in store all the time. Half time it doesn’t even let me add it to the cart anymore?! When I call the store and it still clearly in stock and online says it’s in stock won’t let me check out it says failed to send delvery nodes. The app is pretty much trash anymore and unreliable. I’ve undownloaded and re downloaded on my device and it still does it
You need to fix this app to address how things are being delivered clearly the way it set up now is not clear it’s discombobulated it doesn’t even show how to adjust your two hour delivery to regular deliveries with just the three points at the right side. Make it very clear because people may haveClients coming in in four hours and they are thinking they’re going to get their hair color in to and it ends up being a regular delivery. This app is not clear for the stylist and salon owners. It needs to be fixed
This app would get 5 stars, but as a Cosmoprof employee I have many many customers complaining that they can’t access their card in their Apple wallet anymore and it was easier to do that than to open the app and wait for it to load when they’re in a rush. Hopefully they will change it to where it can be added to the Apple wallet like it was on the old app!!
The app feels super outdated and can be extremely frustrating for same day delivery. When choosing same day delivery if an item is not eligible for same day delivery it should be clearly marked before adding it to your cart and finding out upon checkout. Also I tried adding a few items and at check out an error message “no available inventory for sku XXX” called the store and they do have it paid over the phone so stupid!!!!
The app used to be decent before the update. Since updating, it won’t give me the option to pick up in store for any type of product( I’ve tried many) and from different locations (I’ve tried switching store locations to see if it would work) it literally only gives the option to have stuff shipped. However if you use the traditional website, it will let you pickup in store. It’s ridiculous.
When the app is working, it’s pretty good. I will say it has glitches more often than it doesn’t. Every time I try to add something to my cart it says “whoops something went wrong” and won’t let me proceed. I’ve tested it for three days now and I can’t add a single item to my cart. This is so frustrating considering I’m far from the store and need the products asap! Hoping for a better app update soon that fixes the glitch.
I accidentally put the wrong color in the basket but I tried several different ways to remove it but it wouldn’t let me. Plus, I bought 2 items to get the free shampoo and conditioner, but it never popped up. And when I tried to see if it would show up as free, nope it showed a charge. So it’s not so easy to shop through their app. I’ve got a husband with a broken hip and back, so physically it’s hard to get to the store.
I would give this app a higher rating but I made the mistake of putting a bunch of stuff in my cart that I wanted to see how much it would cost. And because the way the designers apt the delete button is always covered by an ad or won’t scroll down so I am unable to delete anything out of my cart. So online ordering is an impossibility for me at the moment. Fix this please
I found out I could only purchase Matrix in the store or online!!! My sales rep got let go but I want tot tell you she was good, efficient and took care of us at the salon. I tried placing my “Matrix” order only which I thought would take a few minutes… IT TOOK ME OVER AN HOUR!!!! Also, one of the specials was buy 6 MATRIX So Color and get 1 20 volume developer free… well I bought 14 tubes of color and ordered 2 of the item. It did not discount me but I am SURE you will take care of it. Sooooooooooo unhappy with your company. Wanda Pace
Shopping on the site is not that easy. You have to put in each item individually by name so say I’m shopping for Wella coloring the developers should show up in the same search as well versus me having to actually put in the name of the developer. doesn’t seem to be a way to order past purchases easily.
The app is simple to use and migrate through. I’ve recently used it to order supplies and got them in a timely manner. There aren’t a lot a graphics which make it easy to view and find what you need.
The old app was half decent. The new one is just annoying. Every time I try to use it, it’ll freeze. Can’t even access when I’d like to browse . On the new one you can’t even view the classes let alone see which locations have items in stock when on the go. I get it there has been technical issues but how long do these issues keep going before being resolved?
This app is unable to correctly calculate costs at check out. I reached out to cosmoprof a few weeks ago when shipping was ringing up at a whopping $60 and they assured me this would be fixed soon. It is still not fixed. I can’t check out online without being charged more money than I should be. The app could use some new developers.
I don’t understand why you have a sale and everything is out of stock. If you know when your having a customer appreciation sale then you need to plan to have more product on hand. This is online and in stores. I also think you need to send more products to the stores on a daily purchase. I have been to several locations at different times and always no hairspray so frustrating.
There should be an option to see if the item is available in store before going back to check out. Instead you have to put said item in the cart first to see if it’s available in the store you want to pick it up in. Kind of annoying.
This app barely works. It typically takes several restarts to see item pricing, and now I cannot choose a store to order in. Both the website and app’s store feature is down, in which case I will have to check the catalog in person; not ideal from a CX perspective. Thinking of switching to an alternative brand as I’ve had so many issues with the CosmoProf app and site.
I try to order products through the app, i can’t even get it to load products, let alone add them to my cart and actually purchase them. It’s impossible to navigate and never ever works properly. It’s almost a running joke that i’ll even be able to order what i need from cosmoprof because their app is so terrible and doesn’t work even in the slightest bit. Their website isn’t much better.
I live an hour away from both closest stores so sometimes ordering online is easier! I save money on gas. Love how awesome everyone is that I’ve worked with in the stores when I have questions and stuff!
this new app is useless. Literally useless. My previous orders are gone, and ever time I click on a product that is listed. it says “sorry, we couldn’t find anything for.. Please try another search”. Very unfortunate. I’ve avoided the stores because of poor customer service, not to mention that it’s a 2 hour drive to the nearest location. I suppose that I can no longer support cosmoprof as they do not support me.
Your app needs some updating. It’s very inconvenient that you have to constantly change the shipping method when you’re trying to do the same day delivery for every item. Also- why does it not save your billing address to select like they do other addresses. I will say the same day delivery is a plus about it. But that’s about it.
Since the update, login is alright and browsing through the app is fine too. I just miss having the appointment book. I had my clients’ info and notes in there. Was able to put my client’s appointments in there. Now having to start all over and use another app. Mostly disappointed about the appointment book being gone.
This app hasn’t worked since I got it. I have downloaded it and re installed every time I need to use it and it never works. Any time I ask an employee about it they says EVERYONE complains about. It sure is taking a long time for it to work after it came out. It’s really inconvenient to have to use the browsers to shop the website. Please get it fixed or we will all just go shop at salon centric.
Still now even months after the new app has been released, at first it did not work so I kept using the old one since I had no other choice! Now they’ve taken the old one away completely with this new one plus an update-has NOT WORKED since the day it’s been released. I can no longer shop on my Cosmoprof app anymore! Thanks Cosmoprof! For NOTHING! Guess I’ll be ordering my supplies elsewhere at this point.
App freezes after a few clicks EVERY SINGLE TIME, what a waste of time my time!
When I click on a product, then click on oh I don’t know, say the ‘directions or description’ tab, the entire app freezes! What a waste of time! I have tried shutting the app down, rebooting my internet, rebooting my phone, logging out and back in to the app, and turning off my VPN. I cannot get a different result. I was hoping I had found a new distributor since hate dealing with one of my local distributors. I can’t make the switch if I can’t look to see what is available or place an order. As someone else said, I’m sure the faulty app has cost this company lots of lost revenue and customers.
