Nice app, missing details
I like it overall and it's been reliable, but it's missing basic information: 1. When it's transferring a file it gives a time estimate. When it's done it only tells you when it finished, not how long it took. It's good to know when it finished, but for future reference I'd like to know how long it took. 2. It gives an upload speed while uploading, but this number differs by a factor of around two from what other utilities say is happening. (I'm comparing MB/sec to MB/sec, not Mb/sec.) Maybe averaged over different time periods, but a utility dedicated to transfers should have an instantaneous (say last second), intermediate (last minute or 5 minutes or something), as well as from-upload-start. 3. How about a completion bar on the icon in the Dock, so I can see how far along a transfer is without switching to the app? I use a dedicated utility because I want to know what's going on and how things went.

Awesome little app
I came from the Windows world about 2 years ago, but kept my Windows desktop. In December 2018, I completed my transition to the Apple ecosystem, and had to replace Core for maintaining our FTP site for our business. I found CyberDuck. This app is awesome. I don't understand the negative comments. I'm guessing these users never had to deal with FTP on a Windows machine. I open it up, and it automatically connects to our FTP site. I can drag and drop anything I want to upload, and I can drag items I no longer need to the trash. It is seamless. I can't imagine using anything else on my new iMac. It works just like Apple Apps should work--nice interface, automated, and easy to use. If you need to maintain an FTP site, I can't imagine anything better. This app quacks.

Crashes All The Time.
I bought this app many years ago and I used it ocassionally for light FTP tasks. A few months ago I started doing heavy SSH and FTP related work, mostly with moving files around in a server. And I noticed that this app is terrible. It crashes all the time for no apparent reason. Ocassionally it will randomly give you "unknown error" alerts and you will be BOMBED with them (you really have to dismiss hundreds of them at a time - one by one). It's incredibly frustrating and rather than aiding me at doing my job, it makes it even more frustrating. The worst part is, the "unknown error" alerts happen entirely randomly, there is no way to reproduce the bug, so it's impossible to report it to the dev. And the crashes, for reasons unknown to me, don't show the macOS crash report dialog that you normally see. The problems are many, random, impossible to reproduce, and therefore impossible to report. I think the only hope for this app is to be rewritten from scratch. I feel nothing else can save it. If you want a toy SSH and FTP client that will be used to move one or two .txt files at most around, get this. If you actually need to be productive, don't bother with this app.

A Finder for a remote server.
Cyberduck makes a remote file server look like a normal Mac disk drive. Sure, you can upload and download files without it, but it takes care of all the details once set up. Automatic login, lists the contents of remote directories, and lets you drag and drop files to and from the server to your Mac. If you have a website or store files on an offsite server, the Duck is dandy. It's maintained. The developer is constantly issuing bug fixes and features to deal with peculiarities of various file storage sites.

Good App - DON'T UPGRADE to v 7.8.3 due to Memory Bug
I like the app a lot. It's my go-to for FTP. Love it and recommend it. EXCEPT THIS LATEST VERSION (7.8.3)! The latest version (7.8.3) has some kind of bug that starts eating up RAM as you download a file. I'm on Big Sur on an M1 Mac ... maybe the problem isn't there for earlier OS or non-M1 machines. Have submitted bug report and am hoping to help other people to disallow upgrades on this app if they are in the same kind of hardware/OS setup I am in.

I can't rely on this app anymore
I have tried using this in my workflow many times and it always crashes without fail. I try to purge the software and restart fresh and it still pulls data from my keychain that I didn't want it to use. I paid for this app and it is simply unreliable. Without debugging this software on my own, I don't know how to make it work and simply connect using a ssh key. This is the only negative review that I have ever written about any piece of software in my entire life. This is not the first time I have experienced the same bug either. The same problem has persisted for years.

Locks up
I had used Cyberduck for years. It was very basic, easy to sue and did its job. However now it just locks up any time I try to uplad or download. Spinning beach ball and my processor fan ramps up. I have to Force Quit all the time. It just no longer functions and I do not know why? I can still connect to my intended server and create a folder etc.. but uploading or downloading no longer work. Also it locks up if I try to delete/remove an item from the Transfer window. Spinning beach ball and fan ramp up .. I have not been able to fix the problem with restarts or re-installs ..

This is the 'best' ftp client for mac?
Every other ftp client has 2 panels - local & remote. You can save both locations so when you connect, you have all files in both locations in front of you. Click selected files and the transfer is started. Cyberduck has 1 window. Your server. You will have to open your local directory file everytime you want to transfer - and then drag and drop to transfer. Not the end of the world. But so many extra steps compared to the multiple ftp clients I've used over the last 15 years.

It works great, Cyberduck is my preferred FTP solution.
I prefer using Cyberduck over any other FTP service, it works great and is simple to use. The Cyberduck team is quick to fix bugs when they are reported, thank you so much for fixing the connecting issues (codesign entitlements bug) so quickly! I needed to use another FTP solution while this bug was active, but I only needed to wait about a week before this was fixed.

Historically Reliable
Had not used this app in about a year but needed to recently. Sadly I found that it was unable to do the basic FTP connection. Each connect attempt returns network error. App had always remained reliable and easy to use in the past. update: Appears updates are being applied to the application that might have been causing me issues. Like I stated earlier, app was always reliable when I used it a year ago. In good faith, I am sure it will be again soon.

Works like a charm.
I have used this app for six or seven years, several times a weak to transfer large files. It has never given me the first hint of a problem. It's simple and powerful; deserves five stars. If you are having issues, you will probably find that the problem is something local—not the app.

Solid Application, but broken by sandboxing
This is an overall solid application. I've been using it for years now. Editor integration is slick, and has helped to preserve my sanity many times over. That said, CyberDuck has made the transition to the world of sandboxing poorly. Public Key authentication breaks every time I restart the app because it loses permissions to access .ssh/id_rsa, and bookmarks are no longer visible to external apps. These are not substantial issues, but they're just annoying enough to make CD irritating to use for certain purposes.

Quack Quack Malware!
I installed it, and all the sudden I had several problems with my computer. It added some random Keychains, I suddenly couldn't type in the app when re-logging into the website FTP; and it keeps your history on there, so someone else using the computer can get into your website. I found malware on my computer after a scan, too. Remember when FTP software used to just work? Fetch was working fine until Ventura OS. Is there a better JUST WEBSITE (not let's scan your Finder) FTP client (that is a one-time cost or Free)?

Hey, it gets the job done. Makes it really easy to transfer files. Just works. I'm sure there are fancier tools out there, but this does everything I want. Just easy to get stuff between my computer and servers.

Good on the developer
I'm happy the developer pushed me to pay him. I've been using cyberduck for years and I've gotten a fair bit of value out of it. $24 is a bit pricey, but I'm a dev too and it's hard to make money in this business. Thanks for keeping this up to date

Beats the Daylights out of FileZilla
I've been using Cyberduck for at least 5 years now, and have found it considerably more reliable and easy to use than FileZilla, which I was using previously. Not to say that FZ is bad. Just that, in my experience, Cyberduck has been WAY better.

Solid and well maintained
I have had no problems with this product though I would not say I am a power user. It is constantly updated as any software that works with the intriniscs of your servers and OS should be. To me it is totally functional and reliable.

SSH Broken with latest release
This application usually works very well, but there have also been issues. The ability to use SFTP via SSH/private key was broken with the 2.4 release. It is fixed now. Getting to support is to submit a ticket was very difficult. Support site is made for users buying directly and does not accommodate App Store buyers.

Blazingly fast compared to my over WiFi. Lets me connect Mac, Win, and Raspberry pi 4 seamlessly. After 3 days trying to get pi 4 to connect with other methods, I could not be happier with Cyberduck. This is a real gem of an App.

I don't know what's going on with the app, but it's no longer working. I've tried everything, including deleteing and reinstalling the whole thing. The moment it opens, it won't allow you to type anything into the Server prompt. It's a shame, because this app used to work really well, but now it's utterly useless.

Useless, endless amount of prompts
Trying to upload or sync with google one gets an endless amount of prompts on where to overwrite og store sirtens files - Thus getting nowhere. I general settings one can choose to NOT being prompt - however this is not working, prompt keep on. So this app becomes useless

Slow and frequent crash
I’ve been using this great FTP app for ages and always loved it. I bought the new version on the App Store because the previous version no longer worked as intendedsince I upgraded to Macos High Sierra. Cyberduck has never been so slow when I’m searching specific folders/files on my distant servers, in addition it crashes way too frequently. I do hope the next update will fix all those time wasting issues.

The trusty workduck
While I do not manage large or complex websites, I do use Cyberduck daily. For the most part, I use it to move files back and forth between Linux servers and my Mac, and to edit files sitting on other machines without having to consciously synchronize a local copy. I use most of the features, including bookmarks, file operations, dragging and dropping whole directories, etc. I also occasionally use the directory synchronization feature, which is straightforward but reasonably powerful. I hesitate to call any application bulletproof, but Cyberduck has lasted me through at least three Macs and many OS X upgrades (including High Sierra) without a hitch. The UI is easy to figure out and efficient, and most importantly, makes it clear that I’m accomplishing what I intend. (I’d like it even better if it behaved more like the Finder). Until today, I have taken Cyberduck for granted. But Ducky, today you get the review you have deserved all along.

Current version is buggy
This has been my goto ftp app for years. I’m a full time web developer so I’m constantly moving files around. As you can imagine, my FTP program is a crucial key to my workflow. This latest version of Cyberduck is riddled with UI issues, and connection problems. For example, the UI buttons to confirm or cancel a transfer might not show up, or the UI element that allows you to add a new server wont appear unless you restart the program. I’m also experiencing frequent connection drops when trying to upload large numbers of files. I often have to zip the files, upload the single file to the server, and then extract them. That sort of thing rarely ever happened with previous version. I might come back to this program again in the future if these issues are addressed, but for now I’m uninstalling and looking for a new client.

Finally given back
I've used this app for years, but never paid for it. When I got my new mac this was one of the first apps in line for me to install, and when I saw it in the app store it was a quick decision. I am glad to have finally given the developer some hard cash for what is clearly the result of hard work. I use Cyberduck several times a week, and it is a solid app that does exactly what I need it to do. Thank you Cyberduck, for the years of free goodness, and I'm glad to finally be able to support you! Please keep the good work and steady updates going!

Version 6.3
I’ve used Cyberduck as my FTP app for many years but hadn’t used it in the last six months or so. Launching the old app failed, and I learned I needed to download the latest version from the App Store. I was disappointed to find that my “donation key” from an earlier donation did not provide me any credit on the price but, to be fair, the donation was made in 2011. So I ponied up the full price and re-installed. All my previous connection data was preserved, and the program works better than ever.

Cyberduck needs work
I have been using Cyberduck for quite some time, and it "just worked". Unfortunately, the new version seems to introduce some interesting bugs. First, it will not close from a Quit. I have to Force Quit it every time. Second, it somehow corrupted a bookmark I had been using. Third, the message window do not paint properly on my screen. I have uninstalled and re-downloaded from the App Store without any change in behavior. Bottom line, it used to be better.
