Limited Manual Camera Setting
I love all things DJI. The Air 2 is a vast improvement over the original Mavic AIR. However, I don’t like that it requires a dedicated app and, therefore, not compatible with the DJI Go4 app. More bothersome is the lack of manual controls over the camera. Specifically, one cannot change the aperture, which on the Mavic Air 2 is fixed at f2.8. You can bracket the exposure up to 2 stops. Moreover, the user cannot set ISO. The only function one can control manually is shutter speed. This is all great for one who wants to shoot in auto, and focus on flying. But, if one wants creative control over the look and feel of images and video, this is not the drone. One would have to buy the Mavic Pro. This drone is fun to fly, and the new Mavic Air 2S has some interesting new features, chief among which is a 1” CMOS censor. This is great for low light conditions and much sharper images and video, as well as more dynamic range. Still, manual camera controls are limited to selecting shutter speed.

DJI go apps DON’T work. Fly app only for mavics
The DJI Fly app work just fine but DOESN’T support the phantom series just mavic series. In camera mode it won’t connect to the phantom. I tried the other DJI apps like DJI GO/DJI GO 4.0 for a couple hours to sign back into my old account then trying to create a another account and it’s TOTALLY impossible to get through the next steps no matter how difficult you set your password it just vanishes and got to constantly keep choosing a different password. Also by trying to get pass the password part you have to get pass the China Mainland password part which is just RIDICULOUS. Like China took over their apps and us US people can’t access their GO apps. They need the App Store to remove those apps or DJI FLY app if they drone company won’t let ALL different drones use that app. Me and my dad was trying to get back into flying our phantom 3 professional & phantom 4 two years later and now cannot access the DJI GO apps anymore we are currently stuck in a pickle in which app actually works for our drones. I wish anybody else that has the same issues as us to find a app that is compatible for their drones, it may end up being a off brand company app. I’ve tryed a few of those and NOTHING happened. Good luck you guy….

Easy to use but many features missing, please update this app!
I love DJI products. Hands downs the best for your money you’ll get. Especially with the Mavic air 2. Love the drone, have no problems with it, and I love the app, very easy to navigate but there’s a ton of features missing that would make things so much easier to use. The gimbal speed and smoothness needs to be updated. It’s pretty hard to get a smooth shot when rotating that wheel and there’s no way to change that. Add a few more shortcuts on the front screen and make use of the FN button as a triple click for all 3 options! Also the sounds on the remote are very loud and obnoxious at times, if there’s a way to lower the volume for that, it would help a ton. Adding 4K to every option would be amazing too! Lastly I would highly suggest using more of the features from the previous app integrated onto this new app! DJI, if you’re reading this, I love you and love your products but please adjust your app to make flying a much pleasant one. I, and a few others will re-rate your app to 5 stars if these fixes are done! Anyways happy flying everyone! :)

Difficult to go from one drone to another & the options buried in menus
Not always intuitive and no SDK for Mavic 3? 😡 Even though it’s been some time now that the Fly app has been out, and DJI has added some good features, it is not easy enough to get to the features! Since many options are buried in menus, and some in strange places as well (like battery is under “Safety” 😳) it can be very difficult to understand whether or not a specific option or setting is possible with different drones, especially when going from one drone to the next. It’s also very difficult to understand why, after spending so much money on the Mavic 3, that they chose to withhold the fact that they will apparently never come out with an SDK that allows us the ability to use that drone to the max. Do they really think I’m going to sell this one just to by the appropriate Mavic 3, just to be dissatisfied again when they leave some other feature out? Especially with the issues with not being able to use DJI everywhere because of the China connection? Unless DJI listens to its users and provides an SDK for the Mavic 3, basic customer loyalty, I’m setting my flying sights somewhere else for my next drone purchase. 😢 Sad but true!

Great beginner app
This is a wonderful app for beginner drone operators. I just got my first drone and found this app straightforward and easy to fly my Mavic Mini. The app has everything that a novice operator would need to fly their drone without feeling overwhelmed with the telemetry data. The quick shots feature is especially helpful with getting very cinematic looking footage of the subject with just a couple taps in the app. I am (mostly) happy with what DJI has done with this app. There are however shortcomings. First, the quickshots are very limited in scope. Few other quick shots would have been nice. Also there is no subject tracking feature so the subject has to be stationary for the drone to capture them in quick shots. Thirdly, the RTH height is buried in the menus. Would be nice if I could set the RTH height prior to each flight depending on the surroundings I am flying in. I honestly think DJI should implement an advanced mode in the app that operator could switch to as they become more experienced. Hopefully they will continue to improve the functionality of this app.

Great App/ Emergency Stop
Since getting my DJI Mavic Air 2, I’ve been very happy with it as well as the app. Everything is easy to get to, find, and change according to your conditions as well as preference. My main reason for writing this review however, is to see if it is possible for the developers to add a Emergency Stop button near the Take Off button inside the DJI app. I say this to say that, a week ago I had an incident with my drone in which it crashed. The problem I had was, in the crash it ended up on its back with the blades still going.. causing more damage to the drone itself, as well as the propellers. I wasn’t able to grab it with my hands, and was in to much of a panic looking through the app to figure out how to QUICKLY stop it. Thus, the thought came to mention, and hope that DJI would here me out in developing an app update and drone software update to support this, as I know I am not the only one that has had this problem. Or, if that situation occurs, being able to stop it before further damage can be done.

Great app. Not THAT bad!
First of all, I don’t why there are so many bad reviews on this app. This is a great app compared to some of the other off-brand ones I have used. Second, this app has saved my Mini SE hundreds of times. It shows battery life (other apps won’t even do that), it shows my distance, and height. It has a map that shows where my drone is. It shows GPS status, aircraft status, and so much more that makes flying so much easier. Obviously, a lot goes into flying a drone, and it will drain your phone battery. If you have an older phone, of course it will overheat. This is a very powerful app that requires lots of energy. I don’t blame DJI for this. If you are super worried about this, get a controller with a built-in screen! That’s why DJI makes some drones that way. I truly believe DJI is trying to make things a lot easier, and they have helped me several times. Bottom line, ignore the other negative reviews, DJI has updated this app quite a bit, knocking out the other little bugs. I do believe you won’t have much of problem using this app. Also, if you have limited camera controls, that is probably because your drone probably doesn’t support it. My Mini SE doesn’t support aperture, D-Log, or panorama like some of the other professional ones. Don’t blame the app for this, you simply have a simpler drone. That’s all.

Bad user interface
I have Mavic air 2 and couldn’t figure out how to change the resolutions on QuickShots. Apparently each fly modes have their own separate settings. I was having my drone on ground and went to setting. Didn’t see resolutions settings for QuickShots. It REQUIRES you to fly in the air in order to change camera setting. That’s stupid. Also even tho your drone in the air but if you were on photo mode, you can’t change the resolutions of QuickShots because you are not on QuickShots mode! So you are forced to change the mode to QuickShots before changing the camera setting. It is not like options are grayed out so you know you can’t change the setting under certain fly modes. The options are not even visible so you wouldn’t know how you change the setting. This is absolutely stupid. So basically each time you change your fly mode you have to adjust your camera setting.

Battery draining, phone overheating…
Primary complaint is DJI FLY, running on an iPhone 8 Plus, uses a massive amount of battery charge, overheats the phone and very quickly causes iOS to dim the display to avoid overheating. I’ve been flying an Air 2S with the FLY app for almost 2 years and none of the infrequent app updates have addressed this well-documented issue. We shouldn’t have to use chill packs to keep the display alive. Same phone used to fly Mavic Air with GO 4 exhibits none of the overheating issues. One other annoying “feature” is that FLY and GO 4 DJI flight records are incompatible with each other—other than flight time totals, the FLY app is unaware of GO 4 flights and the same the other way round. I was hoping the 1.7 update would fix the overheating issue, but sadly it did NOT. In the past, I never encountered the oft-reported video lag/freeze problem, but now that’s happening too. Working around this by killing/restarting the app is scary. And finally, we all know DJI never reads any of this.

Disappointed
I have the Mavic mini and I absolutely love it, I’ve taken amazing photos and videos, but after an hour long session, before I could download them onto my phone, the app crashed, and I lost all of the hours previous work, usually I would just replace battery, but both of them were on super low juice, keep in mind I was on wifi as well as using an IPhone XR so it wasn’t the phone. I’m super upset because I put in all that work. The customer service at DJI is also super upsetting, I had to wait an additional month on getting my drone because at first they lost it, then they “forgot to ship it” which makes no sense at all. I had to wait numerous hours just to talk to someone who couldn’t answer a simple question “where is my package” I’m not one to complain, and always try to find the good, but the over all experience with DJI and the app were incredibly upsetting. The drones are amazing but other than that, not so great.

Amazing drone, great app with one major annoyance
I love my Mavic Mini! It’s a great starter drone. DJI has done a great job with this app, as it’s pretty intuitive and responsive. However, there’s one major annoyance: you CANNOT silence the low battery alarm. Instead, it just blares over and over again at you - starting from 20% - until you land the drone. I understand DJI did this for safety reasons but they absolutely MUST provide an option to acknowledge and then silence the alarm. The noise is so obnoxious that, for me, it basically renders 1/5 of the battery runtime useless, as I now try to land before I hear that awful alarm. I’ve read about people considering cutting the speaker wire to stop the alarm. DJI: you have an amazing product but you really need to listen to your users and provide the ability to silence the alarm! How about an option to hit OK when it first alerts on low battery?

Great app. Mavic Mini needs ActiveTrack support.
Let me start by saying that the app has been excellent to work with so far in my experience, especially now that support for manual exposure and white balance controls have been added for the Mavic Mini. (Those features should have been there from the start, but that’s another story.) With that being said, it baffles me that the Mavic Mini cannot use ActiveTrack. DJI has proven that the Mavic Mini is more than capable of tracking a target, as evident in the QuickShot modes. However, they refuse to just add support for ActiveTrack, supposedly since the lack of obstacle avoidance (OA) on the Mavic Mini is too much of a risk. If that’s the case, put a very clear and explicit warning about this risk on the screen whenever a user tries to use it. It’s really as simple as that; the user now can use this excellent feature on their Mavic Mini, and they are well aware of the risk they are taking by using it without OA. If the lack of OA is truthfully the only reason why DJI won’t support ActiveTrack on the Mavic Mini (and not because they are shafting users of features to give more inventive to buy the Mavic Air 2), I see no reason why this cannot be done. At the VERY least, give developers (like me) the ability to implement it themselves when the Mavic Mini SDK eventually comes out. TL;DR see title of review

Disappointed with Limited Photo and Video Transfer Functionality
I recently purchased the DJI Mini Pro and decided to leave a review regarding the app’s functionality. Unfortunately, I am quite disappointed with the limited capabilities when it comes to transferring photos and videos. One of the main reasons I opted for the Mini Pro was to capture stunning aerial shots and easily transfer them to my phone for editing and sharing. However, the app’s current limitations prevent me from doing so effectively. I find it perplexing that I am unable to transfer any of my photos or videos from the drone to my device. Without the ability to easily access and utilize my captured media, the app feels quite useless in terms of enhancing my overall experience with the DJI Mini Pro. I was expecting a seamless transfer process, allowing me to enjoy and share my aerial footage effortlessly. I sincerely hope that the app developers will address this issue and introduce an update that enables smooth and convenient transfer of photos and videos. It would greatly enhance the value of the DJI Mini Pro and make it a more enjoyable and user-friendly experience for all its users. Overall, I believe that improving the app’s photo and video transfer functionality would significantly elevate the overall user experience and ensure that the DJI Mini Pro lives up to its potential as a reliable and high-quality drone.

Great concept and features marred by bugs
Great app - but buggy on iOS. 1. App periodically crashes especially during file transfer mode 2. Irregular order to downloads of files. They show up on my phone photos app all over the place, not chronological. 3. Only the original photos have location tags - the enhanced versions don’t. 4. Most frustratingly, the app creates multiple copies of the same ‘quality enhanced’ photos on my phone at seemingly random times/order/numbers. Ie the first few photos I take on a flight will have one enhanced version created, the the next several will have UP TO FIVE OR SIX REDUNDANT QUALITY ENHANCED PHOTOS OF THE SAME IMAGE created on my phone - often interspersed between other photos - which makes deduplication extremely frustrating. I ended up with more duplicate photos of the same picture than original photos themselves. Please fix this is is extremely frustrating and wastes space. Otherwise great app.

Good but lacks some features.
The major issue is the lack of Auto ISO function when shooting in Manual “Pro” mode, like the DJI Mimo app already has. With drones, it is very difficult to control the Aircraft while at the same time controlling the camera exposure settings, so an AutoISO with much finer (gradual steps) would assist to make it much easier to shoot Video while maintaining a specific shutter speed. The Quickshots function could be better by having an option hidden for advanced users, to let them manually start and stop the video recording independently. Add a Quickshot mode in which the drone simply goes up and do a 360 slow smooth panning, user controls camera tilt. Let advanced users store custom camera and aircraft settings in the Cine, Normal and Sport switch. Just like camera memory recall settings. This only exist partially. Would be great to have slower video frame rates, like 15, 12, 10, 6, 2 fps. There is a big gap between regular video and time lapse. There is no option to shoot Raw images only and this format could optionally use a lousy DNG compression.

Would be 4 star but...
I just carved up my legs running through the woods to try to locate my Mini visually and guide it back to safety because this crappy app decided to drop connection to my phone for no reason. I tried to reconnect the app, and eventually it reset itself to the point of my having to re-do the ENTIRE configuration from the new user point- WHILE MY DRONE WAS STILL AIR BORN AND IN DANGER! Thankfully I and some family were able to eventually spot it and I flew it back - the drone never once lost connection to the RC thankfully, or I’d be out $400. Thankfully we were in a location that was quiet enough that we could hear the drone. It is unacceptable for the software to be this fluky. I was not even close to max distance, had no hills or structured between myself and the drone. If trees weren’t in the way I wouldn’t have lost visual, which is saying something because the mini is small and hard to spot. So many positives about the mini! Fix the app!

Editing should be betters
So I am writing this because the application is VERY useful with simple transitions, but the problem is after you sit here for hours editing a magnificent video it has some malfunctioning dilemmas. It is consistently doing this. After export, your music will play but certain parts of the video will pause, or transition does not work, or better yet it exits the app without me wanting to and I lose all The work. I have been a solid dji fan and supporter for years. In fact, I seek to get a sponsorship. My fiancé and I are traveling the world during Covid with my mavic mini and mavic pro. But editing on this app needs to be fixed, if dji fix this, this app will be one of the best, as for simple Things it works. but right now, try clipping Together 20 or 30 shots and add sound track, you will have some tech issues. It’s not my phone got my phone is a brand new I phone pro max. I have tried with multiple devices, Same outcome. And lastly, for some reason the mavic mini loses connection randomly. I had to runt through traffic because it mysteriously decided to fly way high in the air on its own and land in the middle of the street? Why would this even be allowed? Completely hazardous. For some reason it is extremely limited. Why is this? Please fix this app so I can use this useful app for my edits. Will save me a lot of time and energy. Thank you

Not my first drone but first DJI drone
Been using app for a couple days now and has no issues, it’s very user friendly if you have never flown a drone before. It’s a nice feature that before you fly in any area it will ask you to ask for permission to fly if the area is restricted. It’s a very fast process and makes sure you are flying within the rules, so you don’t get a fine flying were your not supposed to. The in editor built into the app is also very easy to you with many features for quick edits if you wanted to post something quick on social media since it only exports files in 1080p. So if you want to get the full 2.7k resolution, you will need to edit on another app or on your computer which is fine.

Mavic mini favorite drone, best drone and app for money
The most wonderful companion app for my brand new Mavic Mini 1. I absolutely love the 2.7k resolution, highly underrated and completely saves about 1/3rd of my memory when compared to 4k 30fps. I would purchase the new beautiful Mini 2, but 4k just is not enough for me to upgrade. My brand new iPhone and 1,300$ MacBook Pro doesn’t even display 4k, so my need for Mini 2 with 4k is literally pointless. Only positive would be its technology longevity. Anyone will be happy with either drone and DJi good job on your best app ever. DJI fly is perfect for beginners, which is why it’s so accessible. Simplicity = Superb. Thank You DJI, once again. I can’t wait for next update. DJI for Life. Thanks for listening and download “DJI FLY” APP right now.

Devices Overheating due to auto charging
Never have had any issues with the app until the 1.4.8 update. Now both my iPhone 12 and iPad Mini will overheat during flight from the automatic charging from the controller. First symptom is screen brightness gets reduced so much that it’s difficult to see the screen. The issue ends up causing the iPhone and iPad to shut down with a high temperature warning. Not only is this dangerous for flying, it is obviously causing overheating issues (and possibly killing battery longevity) to the devices resulting in them going into a “safe” mode by shutting down. DJI, please bring back the option to disable the charging feature. Also, need to fix the charging feature when active since it shouldn’t be overcharging our devices anyway. Please fix ASAP!!!

Great for beginners
The DJI fly app is vastly superior to any other drone app that I have ever used. The drone connects quickly, as well as finding GPS almost instantly. The camera modes are easy to use as well as having a demonstration video with each mode. The only thing that did not work as intended was the return to home feature. When taking off from near my house, flying around, then returning to home the drone would try to land on the roof of the house, which could cause problems. However the return to home feature worked at the soccer field behind our school with no issues. A great app for a great drone. DJI Mini Se

Reliable and Practical
I recently bought the Air2s and love it so far. It is designed to use this app. The reason why many are giving this app negative reviews is they don’t realize this app is slightly different for each drone E.g my 2s and my mini 2 both run the Dji fly I don’t have an adjustable aperture control on both my drones so of course there is gonna be no option But the New Mavic 3 has it so it has it Overall the app UI is very intuitive however sometimes the altimeter ( GPS ) shows negative (-) altitudes it gets a little bit confusing especially if your flying low This is just my review of the app

Mavic Air 2
Thank You so much DJI for creating such an awesome product as this Mavic Air 2. I purchased it over a month ago and it is loaded with so many features that seem to be flawless!! I am the owner of a Licensed Home Inspection company and this product is a valuable worthwhile tool. The photos and video are absolutely perfect for this business. I can zoom in on details as if I’m standing there touching the roof and flashings. I highly recommend this easy to use Mavic Air to beginners as well as professionals. I started using it within minutes out of the box and downloading the DJI fly app and following the instructions in the app. Thank You. And I also love how it holds up in the wind.

Dji Mavic Air 2 almost killed somebody
DJ I Mavic air two almost killed somebody the other day we flew out of 60 feet we went to the fly app to change it to apas. ModeI thought the drone floor up we didn’t even touch the sticks that thing flew like 40 mph into a building very dangerous I do wedding photography imagine what would’ve happened so The gimbal broke so did the rest of the drone luckily I have the refresh care highly recommend that there is no reason for his drone to fly away when you are not using the joysticks at a high rate of speed as a dead highly disappointed $50 on delivery probably another $69 on the first drone replacement which should’ve never happened total malfunction other than that I love the drone only thing I don’t like it doesn’t have sound but I’ll get over it totally awesome drone they just need to work out the kinks that’s $1200 gone down the drain if you don’t get the warranty FYI

Getting better
Update: The May 2022 update and firmware seems to have fixed the problem from my original review. There is still a strange glitch when adjusting the gimbal settings in the app. The switch on the RC needs to be changed to another speed and then back before the settings get linked to the drone. Other than that, all seems good to go. Original: The Air 2S still can’t do manual ISO settings for video. What good is a fully manual mode to prevent the video image from automatically changing exposure when you can’t even set the ISO manually? Fix this. For the price I paid for this drone this issue should have been dealt with a long time ago.

Almost perfect but lacking one thing.
Takes a moment to get used to everything just like any other intuitive app. However could use one more simple on screen feature. That would be a gimbal reset or gimbal position control. I was thinking a simple on screen button that you could tap once for either reset, or tap multiple times for like a 45*degree position, vertical or birds eye. I hate that I have to navigate through settings to find the gimbal reset button after doing a rocket quick shot with my DJI magic mini 2. Please incorporate this as I know many of us professional and amateur drone users would be so grateful!

Great app but lacks features it needs
DJI has built the mavic mini as a solid drone especially for its 249 gram weight. It is incredibly stable in wind. For the price it is lacking features that it is certainly capable of like active tracking or digital zoom. I understand this model is entry level but it should be able to do anything the hardware allows. The mavic mini might get a patch for this but should have had this included on day one. The app is also great for the user and is easy to use, but could be better optimized for the flagship phones. Video uploading could also be made faster. Overall it is a good bang for your buck and we’re looking forward to the above improvements from DJI.

Not a good travel drone
I have great difficulty understanding why DJI would make such a small drone and yet it really cannot be considered a travel drone. There is currently no way to control the Mini with you phone or tablet only this means that although the drone technically can fit in your pocket, you are still constrained to carry around the bulky case with a remote. It is also impossible to quickly power on and launch the drone for those quick shot you can get with the Spark or Air. Such a simple fix to make the Mini truly portable. Also NEEDS Active Track. The Mini appears capable of it as it tracks its subject during Helix and other Quickshots. These omissions are simply head scratching.

App crashed but the drone had safety features
I had been flying the mini 2 over a local Walmart and I was gonna take a pano shot but the app crashed this happened on a 5 or 4 year old iPad so it probably was the iPads fault. Luckily the done did not in fact crash. But it was still in the airsince the controller was on it did not Return to where I turned it on/home point. I was able to reconnect with the drone and get it back onto the ground safely. It’s battery was low however though if it’s battery got to low it would have just automatically returned to home. Moral of the story don’t use low end devices to fly it.

Crashes constantly
I use my drone for work, to inspect buildings. On start up, the app constantly crashes. We now take a running bat on how many times it will crash before it actually opens. We spend more time trying to get the app up and running then we do actually flying. Today for example the app crashed 12 times before it finally opened properly. I’ve contacted DJI support and they’ve walked me through everything and nothing has helped. It’s definitely not isolated to my iPhone 11 Pro, we have the exact same problem on a 12 Pro and an iPad. Please DJI fix this app. I only need to take about a dozen aerial photos which takes about 60 seconds. It’s horrible having to keep trying the app sometimes for 10 minutes in order to do 60 seconds worth of work.

Bring app album back
This is a great little app, in addition to flight controls it has a surprisingly robust & versatile media editor, capable of creating stunning videos in no time & with zero effort. I do have my wishlist of small feature enhancements (e.g., allow editing text in templates), but overall I’m a great fan. Today, however, my enthusiasm for the app is overshadowed by the sorrow of the app album removed in the latest revision. It used to be a great way to not pollute my iCloud-synced library with raw footage, and is now forcing me to change my established processes. Please, bring it back! I will add the 5th star when you do…

It’s great but.
It’s a great app but it misses some of the functionality of the dji fly app such as a remaining flight time bar and shutter speed for video etc. I also wish there was an advanced mode with more telemetry data as this would give more control to advanced users. But at the very least video shutter speed and iso control would be great. Also it’s obvious that the drone sensor is capable of 4K why limit it even if it could take sales from the mavic air it could be worth it as more people would buy the mini because of its price and camera which could make up that loss. But In general decent app amazing drone just needs some small improvements.

GEO Zone Unlocked, still not able to fly MA 2
Hands down the best drone I have used. Now that I said something nice, let’s get to the BS. I live next to a park that somehow is considered apart of an airports airspace. The airport is about 7-10 miles from my house, I get it. I go through the website and acquire the license to fly in the airport’s airspace. Get the MA2 Ready for take off, it’s showing no warning.... I select take off hold it down, release..... AUTHORIZATION ZONE, takeoff not permitted until unlocked. Go to the settings and the remote is unlocked showing the license, but it says the aircraft is disconnected. I have about an acre and half of land so it would be perfect to get more practice, but I can’t use the drone anywhere in my neighborhood. Including the medium sized park next to my house, although I have a license. Not to mention not being able to sign up for refresh within the 48 hour window which I tried to do more times than I care to admit. Oh and NO STREAMING ON THIS APP, But the other apps offer it. IM NOT SURE WHO is in charge of app development, but leaving this little feature off, is definitely worth termination. End rant-

Confusing prompts, and no options to run on older version.
Getting through the permission screens can be a real nightmare. You can get through one, and still not be able to fly, and it can take a long while to figure out what you need to sign off on to allow you to fly. What the app needs you to do so you can fly is just too often confusing. Secondly, if you’re out in nature using your drone, you can get caught standing around waiting for a mandatory app refresh. Right now I’ve driven quite a ways out in the field and I can’t use my drone because it is forcing a refresh of the app. I’ve been waiting 15 minutes so far and it still isn’t working and I’m losing light.

It took me forever to get the app to recognize the connection and start the firmware update which I had to charge everything fully for. Then the update started and I waited 30 min. Right when it was about to finish it came up with a prompt and stated that the update failed and you need to restart the update ( which is infuriating. So I hit restart update.... nothing happened and now it won’t even recognize the drone or try to initialize the update. What is wrong??? I just bought this drone and now I can’t even fly it!!? You need to make this much easier and release trouble shooting videos on this subject to be able to fix it. Or make the app ready to go with the FPV drone in the selection of drones to connect to.

DJI is the best drone company, no doubt.
Earlier today, I bought my first ever DJI product- A mini SE. as an entry level drone, it is phenomenally good, DJI did not cheap out on anything and went above and beyond. I expected a cheap, low quality overrated product, but got something equal to multi thousand dollar drones, including a 3k camera, tracking, fly zone detection, auto land and takeoff, and a super good and high quality controller that all folds. The app is super user friendly, I feel like a pro after my first day with DJI! 11/10 company, these guys are overachievers in every way.

1st time drone owner
So I have the Magic air 2. 1st drone and have spent 3 months flying and swimming it. Yes, I have dunked it in a pond in the first week. Pilot error. Followed online suggestions to douse it in alcohol it disperse the water. Everything is fine and performs as it should. I only use the battery that was in it at the time as a backup. I am guessing the manufacturer is expecting the product to eventually get wet and made safeguards in the product to make sure it can withstand 1 dunk. Needless to say I am hesitant to fly over big lakes where I couldn’t retrieve the drone. Great photos and flight experiences for me. Thanks DJI.

Please Add Audio
My first drone was in total about $200. It was simple and the app worked well WITH AUDIO. This was about $150 more in total, simple to use, a little extra steps in the app, and NO AUDIO! I’ve seen forums saying use voice memos/audio recorder, but the voice memos does not work when running the app. Please just add the function to record sound from your device while flying. It’s a simple thing that many users will appreciated. As far as the drone, the footage lags while recording and when watching and sometimes the footage gets blurry. Not sure why, I’m recording at a lower rate (1080, 25fps)

Get rid of automatic phone charging
OK while it might be a nice feature to have a phone charging what happens is when I plug my iPhone 12 promax and after a few minutes the screen gets significantly darker because the phone is actually charging and putting out power at the same time as what I suspect if you can’t charge your phone before going out for fly then you know you need to get a separate device maybe but it does not need to be a feature because it interferes with my flight when the screen goes almost completely black and I can’t see anything

I am having a bad experience.
I love this drone and think it is amazing, the thing is, I am having an issue adjusting pixels and fps. I am fully up to date in the app hardware things like control and drone and on the app on the AppStore. The issue is, I can’t get fps or a way to swap the pixels. I was very confused since I have seen reviews of this fantastic update and I couldn’t get myself to actually get to use the setting. You know that rectangle above the thing to record or take a photo. Well it is just a camera icon. I have asked reddit and I just can’t get it to work. If the developer can respond to me how to change the pixels and the fps, please tell me! Other than that, it is an amazing drone and I truly recommend it to beginner pilots.

Great product that you can’t count on when needed.
It is such a shame such a well developed product is made in such a way that the DJI geofencing stops legitimate use. This is a product that you can’t count on using. Again today I was stopped from taking off because of a “You need authorization to takeoff” message loop. Luckily I had my Mavic2Pro with a software hack so I could use it. I will never purchase another DJI product unless there is a software hack available to stop the DJI geofencing. Then I will still look for alternate products first. As a commercial pilot I have to jump through less hoops to fly a real aircraft. I don’t need DJI grounding products I spend several hundreds of dollars to purchase. No more purchases from me DJI.

Works for Me
I use this app with the Mini 2 and it works well for me. Some of the settings are a bit counterintuitive and buried, but once you get used to how the app works it’s actually pretty easy to use. I do wish the moving map’s size could be customized further. It would be ideal to have the map take up a full 1/3 of the screen while the live camera feed would take up the other 2/3. As it is the map is either very small in the corner or fills the entire screen, regulating the camera feed to the small corner.

Mavic Air 2 & Mavic Mini
Too many complaints about the app. Just like when the DJI go app came out, people complained and didn’t like it. Now they think it’s a great app. DJI is always improving their drones capabilities and software/firmware. Only issue I have with the actual app is the GPS satellite connection size. Even with my IPad Mini 5, it’s really small. Only other suggestion is for them to add basic waypoints. It should not be too hard and I hope they do an update with that feature. I also have a Mavic Mini. I don’t see why after one year now they haven’t added active Track. Overall great app.

The app is fine…BUT
I don’t like that on Goggles V2 I can’t see the telemetry on the app. I can’t believe that after all this time the Goggles 2 and the Integra don’t work with the DJI FPV Drone. Most importantly I HATE that I have to rebind every time I switch between the DJI FPV Drone and the Avata (which is every time I go fly). It’s the same with the Mavic, Air and Mini series drones. I seriously doubt it’s THAT hard for the goggles and controllers to remember more than one drone at a time. Only a very small percentage of your customers can afford to have a dedicated goggles and controllers for each of our drones. DJI you have to be better than that!

great app, love it!
I have to mavic mini and this app is great I can fly up to 3 miles out sometimes. And this app is good because it has more picture room with the dji go 4 app, it’s still good but but on the top it says gps mode on the top. This app also has good range I’ve lost connection I few times but that normal. So I am so glad I got the the mavic mini with this app it’s convenient it loads fast so you can get out to flying fast! This is a great app, recommended it. Thank you Dji for having such a good fly app!

Doesn’t show my iPhone in the correct location.
DJI Fly map is a bit inaccurate. If I sit in my kitchen, their map places my phone at a house behind ours, about 150 away. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am to find that my phone is being located at a house that sits partly inside restricted air space(due to a local muni airport). Does this mean I will have to walk across our street to unlock my drone? All other maps - Google, Apple, even AirMap - place my phone spot on at our house. Meanwhile, after spending some time searching around, I have yet to find how to obtain “real-name authentication” in order to test my craft in the park across the street. This is not the easiest program to navigate.

Fly App no longer compatible with phone
My phone used to be compatible with the Fly app, but at some point DJI in their infinite wisdom updated the app, and it is no longer compatible with my phone. DJI, do you expect people to run out and buy a new phone each time you update your app? If they are going to pursue this course, they should make the Go4 app compatible with the newer drones like the Air 2S. UPDATE: I just tried flying my Air2S with the stock controller and my iPad, since my phone is no longer supported. Every 2 minutes, the screen would go blank, and the app would close while the drone was flying. It's very difficult and dangerous to fly a drone with no screen and telemetry data. I'd give DJI zero stars if I could.

iPhone Dims and Overheats. Why?
Screen goes dark and will overheat on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 11. The Mavic Air 2 is my first drone purchased in July so I was thinking it’s because the temperature is in the 90’s. Using a sun shield and have tried every setting found on the Internet but still goes dim. I have had no other apps used outdoors to cause this condition. Reading that other users have the same issue and claim an app update is the problem. Please advise the solution DJI has to make the drone usable to fly with an iPhone without going dim and overheating. 9/3/22 Firmware Updates and the iPhone still dims.

Photos Don’t sync to phone
In the old version of the app, two copies of every photo would sync to the phone. This was annoying because it took up iCloud storage space - but it was livable. Now, photos don’t sync at all; you have to manually copy from the SD card. This is much more work and definitely needs to be fixed. In the settings, we have the option to turn this on and off, so it seems like a bug because no matter which way you place the toggle, photos don’t sync. Looking forward to an update on this feature.

Absolutely Love DJI but….
Just wanted first and foremost express my deepest appreciation for some of the most excitement I’ve ever had flying a drone and can’t wait to see how things develop in the coming years. I absolutely love DJI! I currently use my DJI FPV more than my others but your latest update had a bit of a hiccup with the imperial units missing. Not a huge deal but thought I’d mention it in case it hadn’t been noticed yet. Anyway, thanks for all that you do and keep them coming!!!
