I’m not titling this
When I first saw this game I thought it was going to be like pokemon. And I was SOOO WRONG!! This game is a wonderful adventure full of things you can do outside of the story line, there’s even social platforms with other players if you have questions or need help! The whole thing is quite positive, the summonings may look a little 18+ but there not really. And with that all the available characters you can get if you just stop to interact with bushes or people on the way is amazing!! Half of my team are just awesome people I fought! It doesn’t have any effect on the story line to change out a few “main characters”. Even if the character you have is weak you can get weapons for them and little add one to make them more powerful! Is a blast!! You will find some similarities with Pokémon based on evolution, bushes and a few more.. but that’s what makes this game more fun! You feel a small connection to it that makes your heart warm a little. Even if you play and don’t agree with me, this game is still a fun one and worth the time to download.

Not what I was hoping for
I discovered this game through ads. And it was the usual, ads are nothing like the actual game. The ads portrayed a completely different game. The multiple ads I saw showed an open world exploration rpg with horror and mystery elements. This is not true. The game is, yes, a mostly open world rpg when npcs aren’t blocking your way. Horror is nowhere to be found. I’m mostly through the offline story and most of it was a stereotypical op main character and fighting the bad guys with an all-to generic plot. I say almost through the story because I’ve reached a point where I can’t get any further- all my characters are too weak. But the rate of getting an SSR character is absolutely horrendous, as the other reviews have said. It’s a very pay to win kind of gatcha, so I’m entirely screwed. I’ve hit a dead end playing a game I’d hoped would turn into what I was anticipating. What’s more, I was completely unaware fighting was part of the game until coming to the App Store. But this is where the game shines. It’s a challenging battle and strategy set up. I don’t tend to like battling games like this but I did enjoy it enough to play until I reached my dead end. The game is also beautiful. It’s semi pixelated but still rather pretty. I’m very disheartened as I was excited to play this imaginary game the ads showed off. But the game proves to be entertaining enough to a point.

Good game but…
Stop over sexualizing the characters. This game is 12+, children could play this game. It’s not good for them to be seeing all these women with a tiny piece of fabric trying to cover them. The characters are designed as if they are all going to a strippers club. Fantasy worlds are envisioned as knights and princesses. Not girls in bikini tops, or high school uniforms. I also think that you should give the game more of a racial variation, and more covering clothes. We shouldn’t be feeding people’s desires like that. Especially not to children. This game is very fun. Moving from place to place is a bit difficult. It’s hard not to crash into walls. Everything that’s worth buying is payed in a currency called “soul stones” they are hard to get in the beginning. You can’t do much without buying things. You have to spend 500 soul stones to buy the most basic pfps. On the Pros side, the art style is pretty and cute. Again I would advise parents not to let there children play this game. If your older and looking for a game to play in your free time, I recommend playing something not as addicting and time consuming. If your willing to spend your life savings, and all your free time on this game. Have fun 🤣.

Fun Game That Hates New Players
I got this game and plowed through the main Offline story in a week. It's an enjoyable, pokemon-esque feel. Then, reality sets in... the developers hate new players and want to bleed you dry. First off all...SSR character draw rates are abysmal. At best, on banners for specific characters, you have .07% chance of summoning. You are, however, guaranteed for 1 in 500 summons, minimum. The only SSR guaranteed summons are for paid stones, which costs $24. Not worth it. New players struggle to hit 1 million power in a single battalion, so forget about raids or towers getting you good rewards, and with such limited mana, I find myself grinding low levels for limited time events. I wish there was a way to get guaranteed SSR characters: even just the crestbearer versions of Finn and Rizette maybe. Many other gachas give you a chance to get free 5 star or SSR characters that are surprisingly good without the need to rely on summons (and their SSR summoning banners have better odds). I'm talking about games like Another Eden. This game is fun, but it's been out for years. A F2P player like me would take years to get any decent fighters worth having since I can't advance in Arena, can't climb much higher than floor 40 in tower, can't complete EX dungeons for limited events, and can't participate in raids. This is a paid app... or it was when I got it. I wish they would stop trying to bleed me dry

Developers don’t care
I have a multitude of complaints. One, a game that is paid shouldn’t be a pay to win GATCHA game. And it’s laughable the prices for the premium in game currency. To do a 10x draw that has a 1% chance each draw for a single SSR character is, can you guess? If you guessed 24$ then congrats. To even have a single draw that’s at least 4$ Two the only monsters you can catch are always Rare or lower, as far as I know the game doesn’t give you the chance to catch anything valid mid to late game. Other than one SR character at seemingly random at the very beginning. Cause they need you to get them precious premium currencies. Like seriously make the game a flat 5$ or 10$ or something and get rid of the GATCHA system. It’s not fun. Three, did you fall in love with the campaign characters? Well to bad only the main character and anime girls get SSR variants that your lucky for even the chance to draw, other then that one frog that no one I know of cares for. Ga’Laga, Theo, and Mysha get no love from the devs. Which is unfortunate given Ga’Laga looks awesome and Mysha has an interesting story. Four is referring back to catching monsters. The rare ones you can catch? They are one time catches, once you get one they won’t appear there ever again. So even though they aren’t even valid for late game they won’t let you upgrade them to a somewhat usable degree.

Excellent, but also why?
I really actually dislike writing reviews but this one has earned it. Definitely one of the best Games I have played in a VERY long time, especially on a IOS platform. The graphics are great, and there are tons of different monsters and characters. I was hesitant because I don’t like to have to pay to win these games, but I beat the entire offline story without even buying anything at all. The offline story, however, took maybe 4 hours. After that the online story isn’t bad, but you started needing higher ranked characters and summoning is eventually very difficult without spending money. Even if you spend money(which you shouldn’t have to because you bought the game) the probability of you getting a good character is extremely low and you will probably get a high class weapon because they don’t differentiate between the two when summoning and weapons are more common. While this is frustrating, it still has some good qualities. The storyline is fun, and as stated the before the graphics and artwork are great. With those positives I’m willing to give three stars. I do recommend either lowering the prices of IAP’s drastically, or better yet just raising the price of the download and taking IAP’s out completely.

What you need to know.
TL:DR at bottom. This is a fun game. The combat is interesting and has several different combinations you can pull. The visual art is fine, combat art is retro, which I like, the alliance system is fun and the storyline is especially fun and unique. This makes it better then most games like this, however, it falls a bit flat when it comes to how it plays out. The energy your given constricts the gameplay in a MASSIVE way. After the first act of this games offline storyline, it suddenly turns to an online storyline. You have to spend a lot of energy to play the story line, the same energy you need for special events that give you a lot of good stuff the more you play. This is the big downfall. I can’t play the storyline anymore because I’m using all of my energy to play the special quest. And the special quest use a lot of energy. At the earliest of the events you can play them 6 times before your out of energy. Then it takes 15 hours to refill. If not for this, 5 stars all the way. It just really took me out of the game. TL:DR- the game has a energy bar. Energy bar does not get you very far. If they did not use energy for the main quest it would make the game flow better.

Amazing game at the beginning.
I adored this game until the first story ended and part 2 the Online story came into play. Unlike the offline story on the online story you can’t free roam, can’t go into bushes to power up your monsters or catch new ones. You can only travel with mana which then takes away mana from the events. I dislike the way the online story works entirely and because of that the game is no longer as fun as it was. I’m not going to spend any more $money on this game until they can make it as fun as it was in the beginning. If the game gets fixed and is just as amazing as it was in the beginning I’ll be way more into dropping some $money for it like I was back then. All in all the art is amazing and like I said the story was beautiful and well put together in the offline story. The free roam was one of my favorite things, you can go from bush to bush just to power up your monsters and have fun catching new ones. It was definitely enjoyable! Loved this game on offline story. Not worth my time on online story.

Great game, but notable flaws.
First off, there’s no question that the art design is stunning. Obviously, ZZG went all-in and I thank them for that. The gameplay is easy to understand at first but definitely hard to master. The learning curve is fairly steep, but that’s to be expected with most games these days. The most major issue I have with Evertale is its gacha game component — soul summons. Let me explain: you have the option to spend 100 soul stones for one summon or 1000 for ten (with one guaranteed SR+ and one guaranteed character). I respect that ZZG makes the drop odds abundantly clear before you purchase, but obviously they aren’t in your favor. The odds of getting an SSR at all are very low, and it just so happens that SSRs make up the meta of this game. It’s pretty hard to survive without them. Not only that, but the lower tier characters can only carry you so far because they’re outclassed. And even beyond that, evolving the SSRs once you get them appears time-consuming. I haven’t beaten the entire story yet, so I can’t say this for certain, but it looks like a huge grind. Other than this, I have no complaints. ZZG did a good job.

The game is fun, but they need to implement a bad luck streak fix.
I’m rank 86, and have had a lot of fun with the game. Offline story was pretty short but fun. Catching monsters was pretty cool, but something that quickly became pretty trivial and not needed. The online story is when I started to get a lot stronger with my characters. However like most games there was a pretty hard ceiling. I slowly somewhat broke through and got my characters 99 boosted and 5 stars. Here’s my huge problem. Even with playing for 45 days straight with no breaks in between days. I HAVE NOT GOTTEN A SINGLE SSR CHARACTER. I have gotten over around 10 SSR weapons though. Which according to the drop rates is only a 2% drop chance difference. I’ve done all the events, been there for free summon fodder, even payed for a few summons (which is expensive imo). So I’m sitting here now, while people around my same rank have a boat load of SSR characters and me having none. It is truest frustrating to not get at least one SSR character after having PAID for the base game, and play so much. If I were to rate this game just for how fun the game play is, it’s be 5 stars; however it’s not. The effort put it isn’t paid back in full and isn’t worth my time. If you value your time and wallet, don’t play this game.

Threw me for a loop with the ads
We’ll first off the game is out right fun if you enjoy the old Pokémon feel along with other rpgs but the problem I have with the game is pretty obvious which is the summoning and the low chance of SSR characters also the ads and pics for a preview of the game I really thought this was gonna be somewhat creepy with lore of monsters and characters but all I’ve encountered was a kiddish game with no blood or gore whatsoever which don’t get me wrong would be kinda weird for an rpg but I really wanted to see different for rpgs still gonna play the game though I still enjoy it but if any devs read this could you possibly make a few side quests that follow some of the ads like the one where the lady became a monster after being obsessed with them or the one with the camp site if at all possible please update the game and add a dark and twisted tone to the game it would up my experience playing this game and make me want to play more of this with out it this game ends up being one of those games where I can set it aside for awhile and come back ever is often

What could have been a great game hobbled by greed
This game started out enjoyable enough that I kind of forgot how shamelessly false the advertising was. I put a lot of time into the offline story and the early stages of the “real” game but by act 4 the cracks were starting to show. As other reviewers mentioned, summon rates aren’t great, but I never had enough of an issue with getting stones to feel like I was meaningfully more likely to get anything good by putting money in. The real issues are the mana system and the extreme amount of resources you need to progress characters past level 60. If the RNG in the tower of trials isn’t being generous, you’ll be blowing a full days mana in the space of 15 minutes, usually on battles you can barely win because the resources for leveling were already scarce before you had to manage mana and now they’re even rarer. The intent here is obvious - throttle the progress of players until they feel the need to buy the relevant resources. It might even work, if the prices they were asking weren’t so ridiculous. Tl;dr slimy advertising for a relatively fun game early game that gets killed by an even slimier system of micro transaction-reliant progression. No matter how much you might enjoy the early game, don’t encourage this behavior by funding it.

Evertale, IT’S GREAT.
TLDR; This game is absolutely phenomenal and you won’t regret picking it up. Just like any other game, this one has its flaws. Namely being the price of soul stones, however, you gradually accumulate these throughout playing the game and by means of cumulative logins (streaks), which makes up for it in my opinion. The story is intriguing and the characters are enjoyable to follow, a very refreshing change in comparison to other mobile games with annoying characters and crappy “plot”. The art is very endearing and the character art is beautifully drawn. But by far the best thing about Evertale is its combat and strategy. Simple to pick up but mastering it is an entirely different world. Changing the way you play changes the way the game feels, which leaves you with a lot of different styles and team comps to tinker with and enjoy! I’m very impressed with this game, and the negative reviews concerning game issues sound reasonable, but I’ve personally not run into any problems thus far.

Extremely Greedy Devs
TL;DR Literally required to spend thousands to have any presence online, which is 90% of the game. I’m currently rank 97, but I could never recommend this game. The offline story itself is actually fun, which is why all of the bad about the real game is such a smack in the face. The offline story is pretty short, so the online gameplay is all this game truly has to offer. I don’t even have to get into any of what the online game has to offer to explain the absolute disease that this game is. It all boils down to the summon system. The chance for a SSR unit is astronomically small; Below 0.05% actually. To give an example of what this means, is that I have summoned 110 units, without a single SSR, and only 7 SR units. And on top of this, the price of in game currency is basically an actual scam. It’s 100 gems per summon, or 1000 for 10, so there’s not even a discount for multi summon. And for 4000 gems, it costs $80. And the tip of the iceberg, is that SSR units are insanely op. A level 100 SR unit, fully awakened, is no match for a base, level 60 SSR unit. The only way to be able to participate in the actual game, is to spend thousands of dollars to compete with the whales that play this game. This game really shouldn’t even be allowed on the Apple store, stay clear of it like the plague.

Fake Ads
If you came here from the ads that showed an 8-bit thriller rpg, that is not this game. Even the pictures shown here in the app store have been edited to make the game look darker. I got this game because I thought the story and gameplay would be unique, but the former is very simple, and the latter is fun, but the game is so PTW that it becomes hardly worth it to even try harder battles. It IS an open world game, but only until you finish the main story. After that, it’s path-locked and restricted by mana, which makes the gameplay from there on out very slow—and it’s not finished, which isn’t bad, but it becomes very hard to stay engaged while waiting for other chapters. Also, the banner art (and some of the character designs) are so borderline nsfw that it feels like overkill. It almost makes you want to stop playing the game completely because of how tiring it gets, and definitely does not prompt you to spend any money, which is something I wouldn’t recommend. Overall, it’s good to click around on for a few minutes each day, but hardly ever more than that.

Great game, but…
The game it self is super fun and great and all that, and I understand its a gatcha game as well. But for the love of all that is holy, the SSR characters, especially the ones that are a limited time summon, are literally so rare indeed that they might as well not even display them because that’s the only time I even see those characters. The weapons though, I’ll get the same SSR weapon pretty much 4-5x in a row and never see a SSR character or let alone the displayed one for the summon. However if you have an endless wallet or just don’t care for spending then by all means pay the roughly 40 bucks for 1, 10x summon. Also you can beat the game without having to do a lot of summons so I do at least recommend playing it at the very least. I just wish the drop rates for SSR characters (especially the displayed ones) were way more reasonable, so I don’t have to drop a fat stack of cash just to get the same SSR Weapon or nothing and essentially wasting time and cash. (I’m aware that, that is my own doing, just feels crappy afterwards) P.s. sorry if this is slightly unreadable, wrote in the heat of the moment.

Review
Do not be fooled, this is a summon/gacha game just like any other accept they make you pay for this one lol, they dress it up to look like a regular Pokémon/final fantasy game but with all the predatory practices of other pay to play/win games. I’ve began to wonder how many people this company paid for these bull crap reviews lol. This game is not nearly the godsend of phone games that some of these reviews are suggesting. For one this game isn’t even balanced, don’t expect to get far without amazing pulls or grinding your life away. For comparison this game is a bigger grind then most final fantasy grinds. The drop rates are horrible, for the few months I’ve had this downloaded I’ve never got a 5*. The main character is a non customizable Mary Sue type and the story is about as cliche’d as it gets.. insert ancient evil, now a teenager with inexplicable godlike powers conveniently appears, blah blah blah. All in all this game was a huge waste even if it was only $1 Update: forgot I already tried this game and sure enough everything a said back then still rings true today, except now they’ve taken to over sexualizing every single female character (even the ‘underage’ ones). This game, it’s developers, and it’s player base absolutely disgust me..

An honest review
PROS The Gameplay: It’s fun! The storyline is nice, and it’s not hard to grasp how it works. The Community: Somehow, the players are nice. I haven’t met bad people, most are supportive. CONS The Ads: They lie. This game is more of a Pokémon-esque game, not a horror-infused RPG. I believe another game by ZigZaGames, Neo Monsters, fits more along those lines. The Artwork: This game is 12+ for a reason. The SSR (the best characters in the game) female characters are overly sexualized. Most of them don’t have a reason, although I give a pass to a few, like the “Degenerate Oni Queen” and the brides. How It Works: It’s pay to win. It’s very hard to get by without spending money. Some banners are only available through purchased Soul Stones (what you use to obtain characters). It is possible if you are patient, but I know that I am not. The Gameplay: Tedious. It’s very repetitive, although the animations are good. The Luck: Needs fixing. SSRs have a 0.7% chance of a pull, and Soul Stones are next to impossible to get. Please fix the odds! There is my review! A word of advice, don’t change servers, your account doesn’t span multiple. I hope this helped!

Amazing, but room for improvement.
Now that I’ve sunk a lot of hour into this game and have completed all the acts. I love it. The combat system is dope, I like it more than Pokémon. It has nice mechanics and animations. The cost of soul stones are ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. That being said, you can easily obtain soul stones from the story, events, PvP, and daily logins. I think maybe it’s the devs incentivizing playing more than paying? Idk. If they wanted to make more money tho, my friends and I really like this game so we would definitely buy souls stones if they were a reasonable price. THIS GAME NEEDS END GAME MONSTER CATCHING! The characters, the story, the art style, it’s all appealing. I remember starting the story and thinking wow, everything about this game is great. I was saddened to find out how none of the monsters you catch will scale into late game, and you can only catch one of each instead of being able to get multiple and power them up like you can from the draws. Overall, very fun and entertaining game. Love the character design and the combat. The story is really cool, and the art is beautiful. Stay with us Devs!

Was 5 star now 1
I have to take this game which I was really enjoying from a 5 star to a 1 star the reason for this is the summon system which does not separate weapons and character/creatures the problem is you save up to do the ten draw to get guaranteed SR or SSR ranking card and it is always equipment as the high end card which is nowhere near as important as the character/creatures (weapons add one potential ability while character/creatures have 4 active and multiple passive as well as potential leader skills) really crappy feeling when you have saved for 5-10 of these pulls and never seen a character above the R rank as all the SR and SSR cards that have been seen are weapons every time afraid I will have to go away from this game until the system is fixed and they reimburse all current players that have dealt with this issue with a free SR or SSR character/creature can be a pool they choose from but it’s just a really crappy feeling never getting any really good characters and having used so many of the story gems you can never get back please fix!!!!!! Also because of how low your chances are for a character I have never even seen an SR let alone an SSR do not spend a dime on this game you will be wasting your money!!!!!!!!!

Nothing like the previews of course.
This game is absolutely nothing like the preview. I downloaded it against my better judgement because I thought it was a horror themed version of the Pokémon red and blue. But of course, it is only marketed that way. In reality it’s nothing like that. I don’t understand why game developer companies feel it’s necessary to do that. Like, they aren’t exactly winning people over by outright lying to them. Also it’s not like they can conceal the fact it’s nothing like the previews. Once you down load it and attempt to play it for 5 seconds you will see it’s more like a super generic, janky knocked off version of I guess final fantasy minus the final fantasy aspect. Like the way it’s marketed, you have these little balls you go around and capture more violent, monsters. You then go about training them, and they evolve along the way. But in this version, the little monsters can actually attack and harm the human characters. It also had a more dark and menacing feeling to it, that to be honest isn’t there in the game play. This game just solidified the fact that I don’t even bother with cell phone games unless they are arcade based. Like the sonic the headchoh

I’m simply disappointed with what they’ve done to what used to be an alright game
I originally started playing shortly after the game came out before there were even any ads going around for the game at the time I thought it was an alright but not great game for the price. Then I stopped playing for a while and suddenly started seeing all these fake footage ads false advertising the game and at first I ignored them however I eventually decided to check to see if maybe they had changed some things in the game and loaded it up only to find that not only was the game the same and the ads false but my favorite character Mysha had been completely rewritten and turned into a basic generic anime fox girl losing everything that made her interesting in an attempt to make more people want to spend money for the character. I used to tell people that the game was worth getting however between the crappy false ads and the unnecessary poor character and story rewrites and design changes I can no longer justify calling this game anything but cheap crap not worth spending a cent on if you want to play a gatch game you can get several better ones for free.

The mana system kills the game
This game starts off with a product you could put lots of time into. It runs and feels like the Pokémon game you thought of when you waited for the download to finish. The offline story mode of this game is worth a five star review. However that is a small portion of the game. The second you finish the story it moves to an online story/event style gameplay that needs mana to do anything. Mana you can drain in 15 minutes and without doing the math takes about 12 hours to refill. I will drain my mana before bed and wake up and go about morning tasks. Then after about 10 hours of not playing I’ll return to see my mana isn’t full yet and have not even the full 15 mins I was hoping for. Great game that just randomly takes a hard U turn and is all the sudden a okay game you play once a day if you have the time. The strongest characters in the game are also only gained by chance from loot box style rewards. Very hit or miss and the unlucky ones definitely can see no reward for all the time invested.

I never thought I’d be having so much fun with a mobile game.
Honestly, if theres not an anime based off this in the future, or if it doesn’t get it’s own anime, I’ll be surprised. The game is fantastic, best mobile game out there. I’m excited for new chapters in story mode, I had just finished, but I won’t give spoilers. Multiplayer is great to, most mobile games would force you to pay real money just to have a chance online, not this game, you’ll never have to spend a penny to be evenly matched with those that do. This is one of the best games of my generation, you don’t find many like it now a days, not even from triple A studios like 343i. I don’t care much for graphics, but despite me being more interested in story than graphics when it comes to any game, the graphics in this amaze me still. The events are fantastic as-well, I just wish you could replay missions of the offline story mode.

Good game, I recommend it
The game is well made, the art is amazing, the gameplay is fun, and the story is really good. Honestly I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the game but then I go to read some reviews and there’s a lot of people complaining. Every single one of these bad reviews complain about the gacha system and that it’s pay to win. The game is NOT pay to win. Completing both the offline and online story modes give you tons of soul stones that you can use for 10x summons. Also even after you complete both the story modes there’s almost always an event that lets you earn more soul stones. If there isn’t an event, a week later there’s another one plus the daily reward system that lets you earn lots of soul stones. And after you use all the soul stones you’ll most likely get at least 2 SSR characters. One last thing if you’re going to get the game, PLEASE read the storyline. It’s really good and will make the experience 100x better.

Okay, these Gacha games have gone out of hand.
We have to use PAID soul stones to summon the SSR characters in the Beginner SSR summon, which is really annoying, considering we have to be FORCED to pay with microtransactions in order to summon from the Beginner SSR summon. Needless to say, I hated this game, and I felt that this game had an awesome concept that is somehow wasted with notorious Gacha mechanics and unacceptable microtransactions. This AND Mario Kart Tour are one of the reasons why making games with Gacha mechanics almost never ends well. And, oh, my, god. Look at how OVERLOADED and cranked up to 11 the fanservice is in this game. Nobody wants a Pokémon-like game that’s flooded with Gacha mechanics and microtransactions. And nobody wants to feel like they’re looking at THIS MUCH fanservice that’s cranked up to 11 in a mobile game. I can understand fanservice, but NEVER should fanservice be taken too far NOR should it be cranked up to 11. So yeah. This game has an AWESOME concept, but it overall, left me very disappointed and ripped off. Developers, please, fix this game. False advertising is one thing, but essentially making it a generic anime Gacha game with LOADS of child porn in it is EXTREMELY unacceptable to the maximum!

For those who believe this is a rip off
Okay, so, a rip off is something that uses those characters straight from the game and a encouraged game is something like it, only it changes itself up a bit. And not only that but, if you take a look on the screenshots from devs, you can see slayed creatures, In Pokémon can you slay monsters? In Pokémon do you have that? You don’t, and stop going around saying, there’s too many ads. If you really have a problem, turn on airplane mode. If that doesn’t work, then maybe think, “these guys have to make money since there is a chance people won’t buy the stuff in game, But every ad they watch, we get 1 cent, so let’s upload lots of ads to make sure we have enough money to pay our staff, Bills, taxes, and have left overs for extra staffing and updates.” So guys, Just stop. It’s a good game and I think this review, is the truth.

Objectified
I started this game a little over a week ago. I enjoyed the strategy game play and loved the artwork. After awhile I noticed a few things. 1) some ssr newer characters are too OP 2) most importantly the characters went from fantasy, to some skin, to bunny Rizette & the summer crew. I’m disgusted. The new summer storyline objectifies women (and totally changed callens personality). Rizettes cover photo for her bunny ssr is her splayed out on a poker table as if she’s been thrown down( glass is spilled beneath her), in a scandalously skimpy outfit that pretty much just covers her nipples, crotch front and center with a innocent blushing face. This is a 7+ game and a strategy game at that! What is this hentai doing on your game!? You’ve over sexualized almost every new female character (even Callens suit has her lips defined and showing and there are ‘sweat drops’ between her legs!) that has been released since I played. The original storyline, yes has a little skin, but nothing like the latest releases. I’m done with the game. After beating the storyline not much is keeping me in the game and especially not after this.

The game is great except for…
The only 2 things I have a problem with are how often the soul gems are given and how much they cost, I would spend real money for gems if they weren’t so much money for so little gems, and 2nd I don’t like how unfair or even unbalanced some of the enemy’s can be like having the option for the enemy to deal damage to you and add it to his own health In one move, some of them are just so annoying to go against. Other than those, the game is great! Update: I just checked and I’ve done maybe 2 10x summons and other than the first one I have yet to get a SR or SSR, the front page says the chances have been increased but in the summon info it says that Saya have a 0.07% chance to drop! That’s crazy, to have an “increased” chance that low still is crazy, that isn’t even a 1% chance and all of them are only up for around a day forcing you to spend money to get gems. I would love a reply from the devs about this.

Why
This is probably the worst game I’ve played in a long time. I understand that sounds horrible and some effort was put into this game, but seriously. I’m also one of those people that try to see the good in every game. I’ll start by saying this game should Not be rated 12+. Some images in the game were 18+ and some of which can just be considered straight up Nudes of characters. It’s ridiculous. The controls are clunky and so is the battling/character building system. I like Pokémon themed games, I always have I’ve grown up on them. Thats why I got the game in the first place. I also don’t mind some thriller or mystery in a plot line. The plot in itself was half baked too. It’s an extremely stereotypical “boy discovers he’s the chosen one so he goes on this long journey of… fighting… crap…?” Idk. Point is they could’ve done better. And disclaimer I didn’t finish the game but honestly… I don’t think I ever will. It’s inappropriate and half baked. If ur into that sorta thing then by all means, but yeah. I’m done. Good day. If a dev reads this then I apologize for my rude remarks but seriously at least change the age rating, its not ok.

RPG Dream
I have never written a review for a game, until now. Evertale has everything that made me fall in love with RPG’S as a kid. The storyline is very well written. The characters are funny and relatable, from the Pervy frog “Nagi” (reminds you of Brock from Pokémon), to the sweet and heartwarming “Rizette”. The top review states, some cutscenes are just Banter, with nothing to do with progressing the story. Well I have to say, I’ve loved every one. They let you in and allow you to get to know your characters better. They reveal more of their personality than you get from just the main storyline. I feel they help you get that much more invested in the characters. The summoning system is not ideal, HOWEVER, you get soul stones a lot, from quests, leveling up, logging in every day. So if you save up for a ten summon (Doesn’t take long), you make the most out of your free soul stones. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a true RPG.

Good game, bad ads
The game is good. Not perfect but it definitely has its perks. The offline story mode is definitely fun and the online is the same. The character are fun and creative in their own right. The only real problem I have with the game isn’t even with the game itself. The problem is with the miss leading ads. Truthfully I think I’ve only seen 3 ads that look like how the game plays. All the other ads I’ve seen are a weird mix of pokemon, Omori, and other 8bit horror games. Even the little previews in the App Store would lead you to believe there is a horror element to the game but that is just false. There is nothing inherently scary in the game. Also, in some of the ads there are references to being a breeder but no where in the game have I found that. In all fairness I have yet to finish the game. If I do find any horror or breeding things I’ll be sure to update my review, but until then I’m gonna stick to a 4 star rating.

A gamers review
I’d like to start off by saying that this game is very fun to play and I enjoy it quite a lot. It has a lot of the qualities I’m looking for in a good app game, good graphics, an interesting storyline, cool characters with there own little backstory and different levels that they can be. But I do wanna say with this game there are a few things I’m not one hundred percent with. The main story line isn’t as interesting to me as the side story’s and the rate for getting an SSR character are far too low for the amount of gems I’m getting in-game without buying anything. The price for leveling up your characters with the potions is also really steep considering you only get like five or ten at a time but need hundreds to level up just one character. Other than this though, I do really enjoy this game and would recommend it to anyone who like rpg games or anime type stuff. (P.S: hope everyone reading this is having a great day.)

Great but also not F2P friendly
At first, this game was fun and all but it started getting hard for me. Most people will just tell me roll better characters or get more materials to upgrade them but it is extremely hard to do so without money. I’m trying to go with this without money but that ain’t cutting out for me. I haven’t spent money yet but I can probably tell that it would probably be a lot better. I’m slowly gaining materials to upgrade my characters but they are still very under-leveled sometimes and it’s terrible. Also, the PVP battles are the most unfair thing possible because they keep on putting me with stonked out people who have probably wasted money since they have a whole entire SSR team. How am I supposed to beat them? Like the best I have is 3 gold starred characters but that’s it. Everything else is silver starred which max out too easily. Then we can evolve them but it doesn’t do much. Overall, it’s fun but not the friendliest to some of use that are F2P. Also, the rolling rates are terrible.

Cannot get in touch with support.
This game is absolutely pay to win. I understand that, I put a GOOD amount of money in to acquire a specific character (Bunny Rizette). I have spent over 40,000 Soul Stones (it costs 80 dollars for 4,175 stones + bonuses from that purchase) in attempts to acquire this character and have pulled 17 of the SSR weapons INSTEAD of a single Rizette. I have proof of all of this. So, knowing that, I reached out to their support emails, 2 separate emails multiple times across multiple days, stating that there was an apparent bug or issue. It is undeniable there is a problem. I mean I understand it’s luck but this is absolutely ridiculous! These characters are limited time and are only available to be acquired for a couple of days. I have been begging their support to at least respond to me knowing the short timeline and (obviously) how badly I wanted this character and have only received silence. I would HIGHLY recommend you do not download this game or at least don’t put a single dollar in, they are thieves and I wish I could do something more about this except feel robbed.

Skills over Bills
Tbh, the gacha rates are painful, but ultimately needed due to how powerful they are, if you struggle to get SSRs at the beginning, just restart and try your luck again, one or two SSRs are good to begin with if you want to start off strong. The game favors synergy and strategy over money, I know this from personal experience. That said, this game isn’t a walk in the park, it is brutal and unforgiving at times. The ultimate challenge is pvp, that’s where the real pain is, if you aren’t ready to lose a lot of matches, then this isn’t the game for you. Though if you want a strong challenge for supremacy with pretty simple battle mechanics then download the game and go crazy. There is also a official discord where me and other players come together to help teach the numerous strategies and tricks that have been crafted for the optimal gameplay experience.

Pay for Gems
This game is pretty fun, I like the concept of it. The problem I have is that to get gems for summonings in this game, the only way to really get them is to buy them from the store. Most games similar to this, at least the ones I've played, there are different missions or objective that you can do to get gems and then use those for summonings; it's something to grind for. However, this game only gives you gems for daily log ins or by buying; which if you're like me who doesn't like spending money on games, this is a HUGE problem. Also, there are limited time events for summonings and the drop rates for rare characters or weapons are fairly low unless doing a items 10 summons at 1000 gems. Well, I get around 200 for daily logins and tbat is pretty much it unless you buy, and most events lat a week at most. So unless u get lucky and your first summons is the featured character drop, be prepared to spend real money to get the characters.

Silly goober game
The only purpose this h----- pokemon game serves is to release hot babes with practically no clothing for gamers in heat to relief themselves to. Don't even bother lying to yourself. Do you really think tapping a button and staring at your screen basically doing nothing for two sessions of 45 minutes is peak gameplay? You enjoy socializing with alliance members? Why not seek some real place to chat with people (even meep city's player interaction is far superior than this). Let's not forget that the only way to win in this game's "pvp content" is owning alt accounts. Game's so dead everyone left and only ghost players remain. No server merge, so actives are scattered around 70+ servers, and so majority of them are dead servers. I understand why they'd all quit too, literally everything is in auto mode. Pray to rngesus and AI to win instead of actually being able to use your brain like most other games. Oh hey what's over there in the horizon? Another random ahhh story when the main quest line haven't been updated in 2 years

Game makers just want your money
I’d be giving a one if I didn’t find friends on there, first off at lures you in with false advertisement of being almost completely like a Pokémon game except you get to fight alongside your Pokémon… The problem is it’s not completely that it’s just another clash of clans just with anime and a very lewd Drawn women I would definitely say this game shouldn’t be PG-13 or lower. And the new cross server or feature is completely rigged to make people spend more money if you’re not ready to spend money on a game that isn’t as good as the trailer and pictures say then don’t get it. It’s not financially worth losing $1000 or more and all you end up getting is a few SSR’s. The reason why I got a one or two in the first place is because it’s easy to find like-minded people on there that play the same games. Stop making a bunch of female high-end characters please start leveling it out please… we don’t need a bunch of NSFW characters and the new Colin is just way too lewd to even own.

Not bad
The game itself is really fun, I pre-ordered this game when it first came out, had fun with the offline story but got bored rather quick as I wasn’t getting the monsters I wanted, basically all I was getting were ssr weapons and a sr monster here and there but no ssr monster/characters. Now this wouldn’t be a big deal if they had two separate places to pull (one for weapons and one for characters) but you pull from the same box with super low chances of getting a character, let alone one you would even want. I don’t expect a ssr character every time I get enough soul stones to pull, but when I save up 10,000 souls stones to possibly get a ssr character that even had increased odds of obtaining, I got 4 ssr weapons and not one ssr character/monster. Even worse 3/4 of the weapons were the same one. Once again the play style of the game is fun and I don’t feel the need to spend money in the game as the storyline does give a lot of soul stones but even when you save those stones up for a x10 pull chances are you aren’t getting anything you want.

Beautifully designed game!
Finally a game I can see myself playing long term! The artwork is beyond stunning and the monsters/units are unique and very well designed! You get constant opportunities to acquire cool and very rare monsters, but still feel a powerful sense of accomplishment when summoning an SR or SSR! Between the campaign, events, pvp, and offline story mode, you can always do something even without an online connection. Now there is an energy system, but with the amount of mana replenishment items you receive, it’s rarely a problem (atleast not yet). My one issue would have to be the pricing of the soul stones (used for summons). I would purchase soul stones if they weren’t so unaffordable, so if you could raise the amount you get for each purchase price, I’m sure more people would contribute. Thank you devs, and keep building onto the masterpiece you’ve already created!

Multiplayer needs fixed matchmaking but other than that it’s a good game
My only real complaint is bad multiplayer matchmaking it’s always pins me against people who are way higher level or has ssr units and I only have the starting sr other than that I really love the game it’s got a good story tutorial was easy to understand and gameplay is enjoyable with different features that you can see as you progress such as new passives and units, and character design is good they gave back stories to characters and this would have been five stars for sure if they fix matchmaking In multiplayer for the newer players cuz new players just get dominated in multiplayer I’m in the worst rank and haven’t won once or had a single fair game love this game so far other than the one problem still a awesome game and I recommend

Had potential but that’s about it.
Played it since launch and sadly going to stop after this review. Combat is fun I will give it that, some strategy involved problem is it’s just to hard to get any crystals for summons and when you do you will pretty much never get an SSR. I know they are supposed to be crazy rare but while using the draw 10 summon which guarantees at least and SR, I saved up enough crystals to do this 10 times ( 10,000 crystals) I was able to get one SSR and it was not even the featured one i wanted which has the highest percent chance of being summoned for the week. I would give them money but 1000 crystals which is enough for one 10 draw summon is 24 dollars...and of course won’t guarantee anything. I can’t see any reason to continue this game which is a shame. Don’t let the game fool you..this is in no way a catch a monster game..act 1 only..this is just collect enough crystals in events and summon and hope beyond hope you get something...which you won’t. Daily login in bonuses rarely award you crystals.

Mostly Just a Pornographic Money Grab
What started out as an open world setting with a rich story and some monster catching elements has turned into a Pornographic, Power-Creeping, shameless cash grab with recycled events that offer little playability above an auto feature sluggish grind. The developers shamelessly lie in the advertisement of this game in order to fool new players into spending on increasingly broken new units that feature mostly nude artwork. Anyone fooled into paying to get these new units will quickly come to regret it as they will release a newer, probably more nude, unit the next month that’ll make your investments obsolete. On top of all that disgusting behavior, the developers have added to their Terms that criticism of them is grounds to be banned, essentially stealing from you everything that you’ve invested. The developers in essence are little more than perverted, shameless, money hungry thieves and do not listen to their player base at all. Not only should you not play this game, but you should avoid all games from this developer at all costs as they are all, most likely, much of the same.

Unless you spend money don’t expect to get any good pulls in this game. The pull rate is ridiculously low. This game was awesome at first then became trash just as fast. Not worth the time to play unless you have the money to spend. The devs don’t care about the players or how the game plays. They only care about how much you will spend. And devs don’t even respond to this it would be a waste of time for you to act like you care when you don’t give a flip. Update: The game gets worse. They now have characters that make the AI you fight way more OP then they should but why do that. Oh yeah to make you spend money so you can enjoy the game while your broke. Terrible all the way around. You guys just need to quit and do something better with y’all’s lives because working on this game is definitely not it. Just another way for you all to rip people off but hey seems like y’all are proud of doing that instead of putting the players first. I will definitely tell players to avoid this game unless they have the money to throw away. Disappointing

Wonderful so far
I hope I’m not changing this review later on but a lot of these reviewers are complaining about a lack of set characters in summons. It does take some time to get gems, a 10 spawn is 1000 gems, you get 20-50 from events in the story and often 200 as a login bonus. But I’ve done a 10 spawn 4 times and got the banner monster twice. This could be a range of things from dumb luck, a skewed rate to get beginners to spend or they fixed the spawn rates at some point. The positives about the game I’ve seen I agree with, great graphics and mechanics as well as the art work. So far I don’t have any complaints. After all, most of these gacha games will cost you 300$ for a banner monster or have “paid” and “nonpaid” gems and they all cost 30$ for a 10 spawn that is skewed towards garbage. Compared to that this definitely seems like a winner.

NOT A MONSTER CATCHING GAME
I mean it is... sort of, at least for the first hours into the game. If you expected to get a full blown pokemon game that you could play from the comfort of your phone, then you are mistaken. Granted, the $0.99 you pay for the offline portion of the game is wholy worth it but the amazing part of the game come in the amazing artwork and actual strategy of the game. THIS IS NOT A MONSTER CATCHING GAME, it tricked me, but that doesnt mean i dont like being tricked. This is a full blown jrpg gatcha with reliable reroll system for beginners and cool characters. If youve played Another Eden, Dragalia Lost, or Epic Seven, its alot like that with a monster catching feature and characters of the story(at least for me) that i felt sad to say goodbye too. They apparently update the story every now and then but a live pvp feature is also very cool. Highly recommend for those into good story telling and gatcha gamestyles.

Terrible PvP mode
PvP mode in this game is terrible. That is the only play mode that needs to be corrected. The opponent told gets 2 attacks per character where as you only get 1 attack. So the opponent has a major advantage over you. I have been playing this game for sometime now and have high character levels. If your opponent has let’s say, level 20 characters and yours are level 40, you will still loose with only 1 turn because the opponent gets 2 turns. Also, when you try to evolve or upgrade your characters, it will not allow you to do so if they are on your team lineup not in a battle turn. You have to remove them from the lineup in order to upgrade anything. Which takes a long time to remove them, organize them, and upgrade. It just a pain. The developer could change this which would be a simple fix. Other than that, it is a very AWSOME game and I love it. I recommend this game to those who like the Final Fantasy style games.😎👍🏻

Nevertale, a game of no help
Hit a glitch after the update. Ruined my days of hard work on the event. (Honestly, if you don’t pay loads of money it takes a LOT of work to get even a medium character going.) I put in a request for help. Below is what you can expect from them should the game have any issues. It’s my email and their response word for word. My email: Yesterday after the update I attempted to awaken Gloria (I just purchased the final 3 copies needed to fully awaken her.) When I selected her to awaken, it displayed the locked version I had been leveling up as the selected version but only showed two out of the three other copies. I selected those two to use for awakening materials and figured after I would just relog and do the last one separately. However it hen merged the two with the missing third, NOT the one that I’d been leveling and had selected. I tried merging that newer one hoping it would sort it out, that it was just another display issue but it treated the newer one like a single copy with boosts. Can you please separate them so I can try the awakening again and see if it works as intended? Even if I lose levels, it’s be worth it. I greatly appreciate your time and hard work on this game! I hope you and your family are safe and healthy in this current pandemic! Their reply: Apologies, I’m not able to roll back combined characters or weapons. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for playing Evertale!

Amazing for a Mobile Game!
I don’t usually write reviews but this game is so good I thought it deserved one. Before I installed it I thought it was basically just Pokémon on mobile but it is so much better. You have to manage timing of turns and skill costs to decide when to use what skills for what heroes. It gets your brain thinking and it is so satisfying to think of a combination of heroes with skills that work together to fight other trainers. You can also recruit other allies and capture more monsters which each can equip certain items and improve your team. The story is also very well thought through and the characters each have their own unique personality. This game is one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played and I would pay 20 bucks to play this game.
