We had an excellent trip with the Alondra III in July 2024. We did a half day fishing trip which ended up only being 2 1/2 hours due to my son getting sick. in the two hours of actual fishing, we landed some huge 4’ mahi-mahi, 4 1/2’ barracuda, huge red snappers, and many many other small fish. I would highly recommend the Alondra III to anyone in Playa Del Carmen. I look at some of the reviews on some sites and I think some people think they’re going on a yacht. These are fishing boats. The Alondra III has an actual fishing chair, unlike most of the boats down there. If you have to go, you do it in the water. Fishing boats don’t have amenities. Considering you’re only paying US$300-US$400, you get to keep your catch, and they fillet everything, and the local restaurant will even cook the fish for a couple hundred pesos. It’s So awesome! We have been on several fishing boats in playa. These guys are by far the best if your on the Alondra III boat. Great captain and crew. Thanks Alondra III we will be back!
I’ve fished with Captain Randy and Riptide several times, most recently today, August 28, 2023. It looked like we might have had some weather coming in and Randy was great to work with to accommodate the forecast. As it turned out all worked well and we had a great day on the water. Randy worked hard to put us on fish. I’m 81 and have been fishing all of my life on both coasts and have owned boats. I look for a captain who is knowledgeable, safe and accommodating. We had an amazing catch on this trip with Captain Brian. We didn’t limit out but we all caught 3-4 good size Kings! Capt. Brian really knows his stuff! Definitely will come back next year and fish with Sea Flea Charters again! Recommend them 100%.
I used this app for about a week. It worked great until it required an update. Now, it’s stalled on a download screen. I read the crash fix update release about the same timing. Timing is uncanny, I liked the app before the update requirement, now I cannot use the app despite being very happy with it when it was working.
Enjoyed a great morning on the water! Captain Brian consistently put us on fish and we caught our limit. His knowledge of the area, skill in teaching “how to’s” and patient help were exceptional! One of the best fishing trips ever!! Would HIGHLY recommend Captain Brian!

I’ve tried to use fishing booker three times in two years and every single time I’ve been canceled on due to “mechanical” issues. Seems like a scam to take a deposit, invest it, make money, and then refund it. Odds of this happening this often seem low to me. If it is true, the charters they have associated with need to have newer boats in their inventory.
