This app is great when it works correctly, which lately has been “occasionally” or “not at all”. I use the TSA wait times tab the most, but it can be pretty inaccurate at times, so I can’t fully rely on it. Also, like recently, it doesn’t work at all. I’m sure they will blame airport construction for the app issue, but the boards at the airport are still working.
I am traveling with my pets today, so I wanted to make sure I knew exactly where the TSA pre-checkpoint was, where the pet relief area was, and where my gate was, and what food was available. Was also promptly alerted to a delay my flight. For the map, I think it would be useful to be able to see multiple locations on the map (eg the TSA pre-check checkpoint, pet relief area, and a restaurant at a gate). Worked great though! No crashing, no performance issues, no weird glitchiness.
Mostly a good app while at the airport, but unless you want to see how often your alert can go off, do not sign up for flight alerts. Added a family member’s incoming flight to an alert. Then found out either Sea Tac or Alaska Airlines likes to play round robin with their incoming flights, and got numerous notices about gate changes, some as frequently as every 15 minutes. Decided I had enough and unselected alerts for that flight, thinking that was the end of that… nope, alerts continue no matter what you do.
App is a good start. Crashed the first time I switched to A gates. glitchy overall, lots of scene switching issues. Love the directions to the dining areas. The most important thing for me downloading the app: every dining place has different hours and there is no central location to view them or maybe a way to filter out things that are already closed. Going into every individual dining location to look for posted hours is what’s required currently.
This app is pretty decent but has the worst color scheme I have ever seen - it stresses out the eyes in almost any ambient light! For an airport that sits in the backyard of some High Tech powerhouses - perhaps one of them shoulder be consulted with on the UI.
It does great at directing to the destination inside the airport but be aware that it is not accurate about the time. It’s showing 34 mins to get to a gate which I made it in 10-15 mins and it looked like someone in general boarding would get there in an hour. But this is just a caveat. It works well.
It would be nice to have this app working consistently. Sometimes I’m able to see TSA wait times, sometimes they’re not listed at all. It would be nice to see flight times, but sometimes they can’t even find the flight. When it IS working, it works well, when it isn’t, it’s useless.
Wrong security line information compared to monitors
If there’s one thing it needs to get right, it’s having correct information about the security wait lines. Not only does it does different wait times than the monitors in the airport, but when a checkpoint is closed it shows it as open with <5min wait.
I love this app when it’s working, but it’s been over a month now where it’s pretty much dead in the water for adding flights! So disappointed as I always appreciated that I got notifications first though this app long before getting the notification from the airline the flight was booked through. Please get this fixed soon!
Worthless. I just want to know how long the security wait is. That used to be on a simple website. Now I have to install an app? And even then I can’t trust it! The wait times didn’t change on checkpoint 1 for an hour so I tapped “refresh”. Nothing happened so I closed and reopened the app and it says checkpoint 1 is closed! What should I believe? What a waste of resources.
This app is so easy to use and helpful! I can’t keep straight where gates and the shops and lounges are, it’s so awesome to have the map with directions!
I downloaded this app because you’re supposed to see approximate wait times for security lines and they said it’s taking about 30 minutes to get through security but it took closer to 2 hours. There were many people missing their flights.
My airline apps give info on flights. I need AIRPORT specific info and this app is lacking. Dropping off or picking up can take a few minutes to an hour or more. Sometimes the cell phone lot is full. Sometimes one parking bay is a better bet. Construction causes all kinds of traffic delays. Please give us traffic and parking lot info.
I got this app exclusively for TSA wait times and it’s nowhere to be found... or so buried that I haven’t discovered it yet. The app is clunky and requires many taps to go back to the home screen, none of which are intuitive. If you’re visiting Sea-Tac for the first time and have no idea where you’re going, this could be useful. If you visit here regularly, avoid this app and look for something different.
Used to use this app all the time. It had accurate info on the security wait times. Unfortunately, I did an app update and it hasn’t worked since. Currently, this app is useless. In addition to the security checkpoint info, most of the info on the app doesn’t work.
Not accurate security wait times. App said <5 mins, while in actuality line was over hour long. Did Clear to try and speed it up and still waited over 30mins while app kept saying <5mins throughout the entire hour.
Most of the info provided is redundant or easily accessible in the airport, and sometimes inaccurate. Missing things that travelers might need to know; hours the train doesn’t run, scannable flight board, etc.
App is never updated with the current shops and restaurants. There’s several spots in N gates that have been there for months which are still not in the app. Also you can’t search for locations in the map. Pretty terrible for a navigation app.
Checkpoint wait times are WRONG. App said 30-45 mins for the longest lines, husband just missed his flight due to 90 minute wait in security lines. That feature was the main reason I got this app.
This app is literally good for only one feature, which is estimated security wait time, but now it’s not working at all. What a disgrace! Extremely low quality control.
The wait times in the app don’t match what they show you in line which doesn’t match reality. Listening to the wait times on this app is a good way to miss your plane.
Extremely critical information like train status (e.g. station closure) is not in this app. If your gate is at a satellite station (N or S) you will only find out a station exit is closed by going there in person.
Cant imagine how this is a seatac app... i am sitting at my gate where it clearly says i am an hour and ten minutes late... this app still says on time. The flight has been delayed for over an hour. Dont your storage on your device.
Please make security line wait times available on web. That was the key reason for installing the app and it doesn’t provide that info. Therefor the app is useless.
The app was showing the wrong terminal and gate A7 instead of B1 and it never got updated. Luckily I was tracking my flight on the Airline App which showed the correct info.
The point of an app is you complete all actions within the app ecosystem. This app is always redirecting you to the portseattle website to do anything!! Pointless app
This app doesn’t work. Entering flight number or destination city or even airline results in “Not Found”. This is frustrating because the flight monitors in the airport don’t work either. WHERE IS THE DEPARTURE GATE?
Crashes when trying to get directions. Says 5 min wait at security and I’ve been standing in place for 15 so far. Remind me what’s the purpose of this app?
Ok but information is hidden. Take time to check it out
The interactive map doesn’t scale well so you don’t get a good understanding of where you are. Your location is often not accurate so pay attention to signs. The hint that some TSA check points do pre-check and some don’t saved me a lot of time and frustration. But like I said map location had me a checkpoint away from the one I wanted. Maybe some people will want to look for a type of food service anywhere in the terminal but I just want to be on the way to the gate. I found getting the right map up when I was at home looking at options to be very frustrating. Luckily the interactive map I used after getting off the Link worked to my gate so it was fairly easy to check out available food and beer. Chose an arbitrary place for food. The map directed me to exit the TSA cleared area! Some places of business didn’t have any information about them. Some had links to websites. Explorsea.org demanded I accept all cookies. I NEVER do that.
Precooked parking rates listed in the app are incorrect. Weekly parking is $9 more per week on the website vs app. Notified the port six weeks ago but it’s still incorrect.
What says >5 min or 20-25 min is triple time. Think they consider going thru the conveyer belt and scanning system the time going thru security, instead of the line that starts in the parking garage.
Missed our flight because it didn’t show checkpoints as closed or pre-check only. There was one security gate open for the entire airport. What’s the point of this app?
The app has been reporting all checkpoints under 5 minutes wait, but when we got to the airport, most of the checkpoints were closed and the one open checkpoint was a 30 minute wait. Hopefully a one time glitch, but take reported times with a grain of salt.
Checkpoints all say less than 15min and refreshed a min ago. I’ve checked several times before my flight. Now I’m standing in a massive line - checkpoint 2 - there’s no way this information is accurate. Trying to search for anything times out. I haven’t been able to find anything redeemable about the app. This app should be taken off the App Store.
