CURBSIDE PICKUP SAVED ME
I was so excited when curbside was available. It has helped me through Covid & other family problems. They have always gone out of their way to help me. Friendly. Professional. Make me feel my business is appreciated. I shopped for my 83 year old mother & for myself. Saved me many hours in store shopping. I will never look back. Thank you to my Food City Curbside Team.

Needs a UI/UX redesign
So many additional clicks and digging through different menus to find commonly used features. Viewing sale items is extremely cumbersome. To get to BOGO items is 6 clicks and then every variety shows so the list takes a long time to fully display. This would be better if the category was displayed and then the user could expand. It should also not require 6 clicks to get to such a valuable section. The shopping list function is equally clunky. When shopping in store regardless of how I sort the list, which only list a portion of the aisles, it doesn’t list them in any sort of order. The list goes back and forth across the store. I also can’t see an easy was to clear my list when I’ve shopped it. Right now I have to click on each item. Select Delete Item and then be asked each time if I’m sure. I should have the ability to remove all checked items and then receive a delete confirmation. I would suggest the product manager try to shop using this app. Maybe check out Publix app. It’s come a long way over the years and has become quite user friendly.

Needs improvements
The search functionality works fair. The biggest issue is with the favorites and shopping list items. Neither seem to reflect todays price and typically shows the price the day the items were placed in the lists. Next is the issue with deleting the items off the list; you have to go through 3-4 steps to totally remove an item from either list. Lastly, when you declare you’re “Shopping in the store”, less than half the items indicate which aisle the product is located. I’ve patronized your business since before you moved to the current location so I generally know where items are located however, some items roll to the bottom of the list and I have to “double back” to pick up the missed items. Have your developers check out your competitions app, (Kroger’s), they have an app with better functionality. Don’t worry, I still use your establishment 90% of the time…..

Needs to Update more quickly
I went to update my Value Card number so that I could download coupons and update my Value Card on savings apps like Ibotta on Coupons before I went shopping tonight. One large problem. Your app does not update for 48 hours. So that means if I would like to take advantage of the coupons that Food City has, I am sure out of luck. It’s 2022. Most apps have progressed far enough that it doesn’t take 48 hrs to update a value card, it’s instant. I have two choices. I can postpone shopping for two days if I would like to take advantage of the savings, or just go shopping today. I am disabled, so going shopping is not something that is easily planned in the first place. If I use apps like Instacart to do the shopping for me, I don’t get in store savings plus I have to pay about $20 in tips. People on disability have very tight budgets. In the age of Technology, it would be nice if companies would plz make things more accessible. TY.

You can tell this is a TN store it’s by far the most frustrating grocery app I have, it loads when it wants too, it kicks me out randomly, hardly any coupons and it won’t let me put my phone number in for my card, I can’t use self checkout because the kiosk won’t scan my card on my phone, I can’t give my number to the cashier because it never finds my card. I’ve had the same Card since I was 18, moved out of state and changed my number, moved back and I can’t update the phone number. This “new” update kicked me out once again and won’t let me Log back in. The only reason I shop here is because it’s down the st from me but I think I’ll just drive the extra 8 minutes to Kroger instead where I can use my plus card at the self checkout or give my phone number to q cahier. Also I lost my physical card and now I can’t even use my fuel points!!!

Frustrating
This app makes me crazy. I just tried to add a Food City gift card to my pick up order…and it would not come up. Come on Food City…this is ridiculous! The Food city app particularly when doing a curb side pick up order is the most frustrating thing. When you search by the exact description from YOUR ad often you can not pull up the item. The cost of pick up is ridiculous. Other places it’s free with a minimum order. I have stopped using Food city because of this and have reduced my shopping from there period. I have no edits to make as the same issues are there. Searching for items is a joke. You can type in the exact information for the food city ad and you can’t find it. Further go cart should be free…period.

Not easy but doable
The app is not as easy as others. Takes a while to search for some items, especially coupon items. Wife will send me photos of items she wants digital coupons added to card and I search for them. Sometimes we do not find the items. That is frustrating. We also have to change our location. Why the app changes our store location when we do not do that is puzzling. We change it to the store we desire but another time it will appear with a different store and we have to change it again. Overall, a good app but not great yet.

Web orders
I I shop eat both Food City and Kroger online. Your website is so much more difficult to navigate than theirs. I figure you’re paying to have it built and operated but you definitely need to take a look at Kroger’s website. It’s just so much simpler to navigate and it holds much more of your history so it’s much easier to reorder old favorites . It takes so much longer for me to place my order on the FC site. I love FC and the lady that does the GO Cart in Seymour TN is so sweet. I just wish it was easier to place the order. H th and you.A

Needs Work
App is all right but difficult to use when shopping in store. I have now used this app almost 3 months. Learned I could select my store, create list, select shop in store, and sort by aisle. But aisle numbers greater than 10 should not sort before aisles 1 thru 9. And many times items are not located in the aisle stated in the list so I have to go to each aisle and look at the overhead legend to determine if the product is in that aisle. Please either hire app developers with more experience or collaborate with Kroger app developers.

1) It does not save my item order or favorite indicator when I drill down into an item to read more info. 2) When placing my order and paying, it would not authorize my card for the purchase, but did put a $1.00 on both cards that I tried. Then on my 3rd attempt it told me to select another card or pay at curbside, there is nothing wrong with my card as I just used it for a Walmart online order. 3) Also there is no delete function nor can you lower the qty to “0” if you change your mind. You have to go to the final screen, look for features in the top right corner of the item to delete or add them to a list.

Somewhat convenient
It’s a handy app to have, but lacking in many seemingly obvious way. The search function is nearly useless at times. When I search “white bread”, I’m not looking for white Lily flour, or cornbread mix. I just want a loaf of white bread. Also when I add a Sale item to my cart, I shouldn’t have to start back at the top and re-scroll through the hundreds of sale items to get back where I left off. Same with coupons. It’s super irritating. I could go on… But lastly, PLEASE add an “Add Gratuity” option to Go Cart orders. I insist on tipping, and rarely carry cash. They deserve it!!

Great store helpful people
I have other pickup apps and I do buy from other stores but my local Food City #712 has been a wonderful place to buy my groceries. I have seen how kind and helpful that people can be. The great people that work the pickup section have helped me acquire exactly what I have needed for my special dietary food needs. Thanks for your help from a devoted fan.

Disappointed
I have used the food city app for over 6 months. In that time I have had my go cart order confirmed twice but when I go to pick it up it never went through and received. There has also been two times that it would not accept my credit card even though there was nothing wrong with my form of payment. I’ve used Kroger’s app and Walmart’s app and they are by far so much easier to navigate and I never have ever had a glitch using them. I will not be using food city again for pick up.

Good but needs work
Employees are very nice and helpful! Need to have a list of items that are commonly purchased by customer. It would be easier to select them and not have to type it in each time. Finding items when you type them in can be difficult. It sometimes pulls up unrelated items. The $4.99 pick up charge is not charged by other grocery chains. Consider dropping the charge.

Great Customer Service
I was having trouble with my value card points. Apparently there’s a complexity behind it and we’ll long story short. I called them and left a voicemail. Lavonda returned my call although I wasn’t able to answer, she also left a voicemail explaining how the problem I had, had been solved and fixed it all for me!

Much better with latest update
The old app and UI was so difficult to navigate I definitely have an easier to identifying the circulars sales. I would recommend a search result count feature which should be pretty easy to implement. I enjoy this in Publix’s app just to see how many deals there actually are whether it be bogo or sale etc. should just be a query count. Great improvements all around!

Online ordering
As a former prof who once taught web page design, the online ordering site is really frustrating. When I request something it usually sends me a list of what, to my eye, are totally unrelated items. My wife uses frozen diced onions in many recipes, but the website can never seem to find them. The go-cart shoppers are wonderful. When I laboriously spell out the specific item I want as a special request, they can find it, although the online site cannot. In short, the go-cart service has literally been a life saver for us, but the web site needs a lot more of what we used to call “high touch”.

There definitely could be some updates, but this app makes my life so much easier than spending hours walking around the store. And it gives more jobs for the employees of the store. And makes less traffic in the store. Win win win.

This app is terrible
I have a list that I use to track items I’ve ordered before. If I’m in the middle of toggling on the items I want to add to cart and happen to click a single item to view it, I hit back button to go back to list and all of my toggled items are toggled off again! The wasted time going back to retoggle them makes me not want to use the app. Another issue is that on the food city website you search an item and it will show you recently purchased items in your search results. This also makes it easier and quicker to make my cart list. Please add this feature to the app. On the website and app, the search terms are awful. I searched “cinnamon rolls” and the search showed me toilet paper rolls. Please fix these issues and I think it will be easier to use the app.

Review of App
Coupons sometimes download and sometimes they will not. It makes it inconvenient for the shopper also because they have to input the coupon to the system after the customer takes a picture of particular coupon that isn’t downloading. Website doesn’t show store items located in the store. When an item is chosen, it may or may not be in that particular store. When planning a meal, this can be very inconvenient.

High prices groceries
They got so much groceries miscellaneous going up that shouldn’t go up. They’re always talking about trying to help their customers but they keep going up on prices. You can’t even get free air to put in your tire. They charge for everything. Go down to the store and spend hundreds of dollars and you have no help and nobody knows you, Ingles is better than that….. use a pandemic to your advantage! Thanks for no help>>>> lg~

Suggestions
It would help if you could add a comment on the check out page so that the order would be ready at the time stated and not be to early. I tried using the meal planner for the first time and that definitely needs work. I could not edit the days after I started and the meals did not show up as a number when I saved a recipe. This was frustrating. Also, when I shopped for ingredients from the recipes Food City seemed to be my options for the ingredients. I use other product companies. I also had difficulty determining if I was ordering fresh herbs versus dried. Thanks, I sincerely appreciate crib pickup s]and online ordering. Jeanette

Needs improvement
Sales don’t always show when you search an item or add to cart. The app isn’t smart enough to autocorrect. There should be a home button. Just now I tried searching specific cheeses like Colby Jack but the first thing in the search is Kraft singles. You charge more than most stores, so you have the funds to make major improvements to this app. Please do it. Thanks.

Needs work
I love food city & would much rather support a small business than a corporation like Walmart… however, your app makes it difficult. There’s nothing predictive about when you search an item. I can type literally what I’m looking for & it won’t pull up the item… so, I’m not sure how it was designed to be used? What am I supposed to search by if not the name of the item? I love food city & will continue shopping there but this app needs work.

It’s nice but it could be better. I do most Of my food shopping with Food City so it would be nice to know the cost of what I have in my cart. I understand that the F.C. I go to does not offer pickup but still would love To know the cost of everything in my cart. Being a budget is hard.

Coupons hidden
I was browsing the flyer and many items were on sale “with digital coupon.” When I opened the app and clicked on the coupons icon, only a few showed up as available. However, if I searched the items from the flyer, I could add the coupons to my card. But you have no way of knowing those digital coupons are available if you don’t have the paper newspaper insert in front of you. Why have a “coupon” area in the app but only show a few of them?

Go Cart
Most of the workers on Go Cart have been pretty good, but the one that stands out on service is Brenda Miller. She goes above and beyond to help her customers to make sure everything is right with your order and her personality is top notch. The prices are better than most stores.

Needs work
I appreciate being able to order online, however the search feature is terrible. I will enter exactly what I need, and it will pop up a suggestion of the item, brand and everything. I click it and it brings me to NOT that item. Other items, sometimes even things you would find near the thing you searched for, but never the actual item you needed. Thanks for reading my rant.

Def Some Problems
When ordering chicken or anything similar that you order by weight, it doesn’t tell you how much you’re getting. It just says something like, “1.99 per lb”. So, by accident, I bought FOUR POUNDS of boneless chicken breast when I meant to buy one pound. The picture looked like the size I usually buy and it’s clearly wasn’t. And it wasn’t in focus so I couldn’t see on the package how much it weighed and it wasn’t in the description. Nice way to steal people’s money I guess. Just watch out for that or shop in store instead so you know for sure what you’re getting.

Curbside is Awesome
The girl named Amanda at the Cassidy Blvd. In PIKEVILLE has been the best go cart customer service associate Food City has. She get my food out quickly and puts it up neatly. My food is always there as I ordered. Your store is awesome and so is the employee. She is the true picture of a great customer service employee. 5 stars for her.

Digital coupons
I took the time to download digital coupons, and when I went to the store, none of them worked. I had to spend time with the store manager to get my discounts. And then we didn’t even get it right. If you were going to have these digital coupons, please put them on your system. I wasted a lot of time with this.

Login Error
I wanted to leave this information here if anyone is experiencing the login error “Something went wrong”. This was happening for me and I reset my password to something without symbols (only uppercase, lowercase, and numbers). I was able to login after password reset, so either resetting my password or removing the symbols fixed the issue. To be fair, I haven’t gone much further in the app, but not a great experience so far.

The Food City app and use of personal shoppers is so easy and convenient. It really helps to simplify grocery shopping. I like using the digital coupons too, I definitely feel like I get some good deals on quality products.

My favorite grocery store!
Theres wide variety’s of so many products. I especially like the way the store is set up, My wife pam and I like the wide aisles! There are stores with narrow aisles. carts/buggies clicking. The associates are pleasant, and with smiles, they are approachable We welcome that in a grocery store. Love your store 😊!!!

I have been using curbside since it became available, often two or 3 times a week, and it has been such a blessing to me as I am handicapped. I would like to compliment Jennifer, SHE IS THE BEST!! She always works with me should I need to substitute an item, going above and beyond.

This is MY STORE
I shop at Food City because: Their carts are ready to go when I need them. They are super kind to elderly Their aisles are clearly marked The store is very clean They usually have what I need Their produce is well presented and FRESH I love the friendly Staff Never had a bad experience other than at the Deli when it FIRST OPENED. Never since. This is first time I have used the pick up at curbservice where I have ordered and paid online and my son is picking it up. I’ll let you know how that goes. Have a very Merry Christmas! You folks deserve it!

Convenient
I’m only giving 3 stars because the app itself has a lot of issues with lag. It also doesn’t show all items available when I type them in search, even when I confirm they do have the item in the store. I do love the convenience of loading coupons and making lists.

Credit card problem
I like your App Store fine, but when trying to order my Christmas dinner it would not let me use my credit card. Same card we have used every time we shop there. Finally got my order through by saying we would pay cash when we pick it up.

Disappointed
I shop at food city once a week for my household. I meal plan for the week and love the variety of food city! However the app is so frustrating cause it won’t let me log in. I’ve deleted the app and reloaded it to try to log back in and it keeps telling me there’s an error. And that’s all it says “error something went wrong” it’s hard for me to budget if I can’t send my coupons to my food city card. I don’t clip paper coupons and prefer to do digital when I can. Please fix this

Vacation
We were vacationing in Pigeon Forge and discovered Food City. The store was amazing, the food choices wonderful and the prices very pleasing. We live just across the mountain in Cherokee NC and have Food Lion which I am never happy with. I will be making a monthly trip to Food City for groceries.

Could be better
I save the credit card info for future use but always have to reenter it every time I shop. Also when I enter items they are unable to be found but if I scan the item it pops up. Shoppers are great. Very friendly and helpful. No complaints there at all. Jack is super.

Unable to sort list
The sort function for the shopping list does not work! The app gives the option to sort according to aisle which I have tried to do multiple times. There is no option to sort by category. I have tried sorting by the three options shown in the app. None worked, making the shopping list pretty useless.

Need better search results
When I search for a specific product, that product should appear at the TOP of the list, not the bottom. I searched for “Bay’s sourdough English muffins” and had to scroll past English cucumbers and Old Bay seasoning before I found what I was looking for. This occurs regularly when trying to create a list.

Prices different
The local ad sale prices and the price when you load the item in your cart is very different. You will have to tell the shopper every time to adjust your charges unless you pay at the store. Otherwise I love shopping with the app! That’s the only reason I didn’t give it a 5.

Doesn't work
I have never been able to successfully load anything to this app. Today, I started over, got a new password. Received the message my password was successfully updated but I still cannot log in. Have tried closing and going in again! This happened to me in the past and I finally deleted the app. Don't understand why this app in so messed up. No other app I have gives me this problem!
