The case for accessability to visually impaired/blind players

I have always loved learning about the Arthurian legends and all that. However, this is not really possible if you can’t play games like that with no accessability, is it? I’m a totally blind person, and this game sounds neat. It would be even more so if people like me and those with visual impairments could play. As I said, I’m totally blind so don’t know if the visuals are contrasted enough for VI (visually impaired) people to use. Please make this so in your updates. For totally blind and visually impaired people, you could connect this game to the Unity Engine so that it is self-voiced through there. You could also make it self-voiced like the game “A Blind Legend.” Another way is to hook the game up with Apple’s VoiceOver. This, allowing people like me to navigate the iDevice’s screen, would do so with the game as well. Of course, you can make the digital person within the game/the characters, that is, sighted and/or blind at some points. However, if you do this, please try to portray the blind character positively without stereotypes as are often heard in the blindness community—stereotypes not given here, but many exist. Very expensive

So I’ve been playing this game for over a year now but there’s a problem. If you ever want to keep up you have to put down a lot of money. If you wanna get anything done that requires a lot of stuff you gotta spend well over $100 just so you could upgrade. Armor being $50 a piece and skins are gonna run you $200-$300. Yes the skins have stats if you have enough of them. This game pushes for you to buy so you can keep up. They don’t match your kingdom with other kingdoms by power level instead the way they match you is depending on how much money that kingdom has spent which ultimately results in being paired with a kingdom that is too strong. You can’t enjoy any of the events because even in there the push to buy is constant. I reported an issue with an event that I missed out on rewards for the whole week and I asked for compensation only to get a sorry for your inconvenience and no compensation. Don’t install this game unless you want to go broke. It’s not worth the time or the money to play. More and more kingdoms die weekly so don’t be surprised if you join a kingdom and that kingdom becomes inactive. To the koa staff please listen to your players because clearly you haven’t done anything about it. Too many issues have been spoken about from plenty of other players that can’t enjoy the game because of issues stated above. I hope to see things change and be fixed.

After almost 3 years

King of Avalon took my attention from the first days. I played and enjoyed the game since 2017 and keep on enjoying it. So many people left so many people came to this game. But those who stayed they became very close friends. The graphics and designs are improving. The game becomes more affordable. All I can say this game is the only strategy game that keeps me coming back and spend some time in it. But most important is that those people who play in your alliance are the ones who drive you back to game. At the beginning I spent a lot believe me 5 figures was almost not enough yearly spending to stay top 3 in kingdom. Now they make it more interesting with events so free players and low spenders can enjoy the game too. I hope this game will be pushing harder on making more affordable so people don’t have to worry about cheaters. Play and pay but not only pay to play. Thank you very much whole team who makes this game more interesting. And little suggestion for new comers, if you are mentally unstable please stay away from this game. It’s very emotional driving game! Politics in this game is very important. More friends more chances to enjoy the game! Have fun and best wishes from all FIP and KOA members in kd399😇

Good Game

As a person who is new to this type of game playing, it took awhile for me to understand. However once I did I enjoyed logging in and growing with my alliance. The visuals and events are all interesting and fun. The chatting between players is great. Yet there are some things in this game which makes me give it three stars instead of five. For instance, the game gets kinda boring fast. Everyday is the same thing. Hunt and gather, and while the events are great for fresh players after awhile you realize that they are just the same events over and over again. Lastly, the constant need for the developers to push their “ buy buy buy” equipment is annoying. Especially when some of the events are specially made to get you to spend money. An example, they had an event were daily tasks get you awards, like a treasure chest, but then to open that treasure chest you need to buy the key. Stuff like that gets annoying really fast and takes the fun out of taking part in this events. Besides, that dealing with the “Rich Players”, that automatically upgrade through buying all those specialty items and the constant need to find an alliance that won’t kick you out at the next day can be a drag but overall once you find your place, the game can be entertaining to play.

I am revising my rating from 5 stars to 4 because of all these stupid updates that most players do not want. Every time you bloody update, you break more stuff. I have been playing this game going on 4 years. These stupid updates are not wanted or needed. It is ludicrous that you feel players want all this. The only thing I see is you are catering to players that have the money to pay for all this stuff. You’ve taken away things we could get from the traders to forge gear etc. We aren’t getting ingots for the new gear in barb or monster chests like we used to. The amount of resources or frags to upgrade anything anymore are absolutely ridiculous. Again unless you pay for it, there’s no way that you’ll be able to gather enough even with multiple farm accounts. The resource tiles aren’t big enough to make much of a difference. We’re only allowed one resource tile for alliances. If you don’t want to increase tile amounts, at least let alliances put down more than one resource tile.

Avoid this game

Let me tell you how this “strategy” game works. Spend lots of money buying gear, gemstones, banners, etc., boost your stats, and mindlessly attack anyone who you were able to outspend. Whoever calls this a strategy game I want to fight a war against you because you have no sense of what a strategy is. This is not a strategy game but rather pay to get ahead and takes no thought to beat your opponents. Those who spend the most money dominate this game and are impossible to defeat. They take anything and everything they want and within a matter of seconds can ruin years of work. Example: I spent a good year building up traps to defend my base and in one attack they were gone as well as 400K troops. Hospitals only hold so many troops and when that capacity is met all the rest die. We have a level 35 guy in our kingdom to wipes out entire alliances just because he can and support does nothing to help. You WILL have to pay tens of thousands of dollars to compete with these players or spend the next 10 years of your life gathering enough resources to progress that far. Avoid this game like the plague or you will leave it feeling like you completely wasted your time. Anyone who says they have never spent a single dollar on this game is lying as well. Right when you start you have to spend money or “top up” to unlock certain features.

Customer support? Yeah right 🤣

The only reason I’m not giving 0 stars or even still playing this god awful game that’s only out for your money ( you need to spend thousands of real money just to survive) is the people I’ve become friends with. If it allowed me to post screenshots I could prove it. It’s the only good thing left. Game lags and glitches every single war event. Solar kingdom gets nothing event wise compared to lunar. Millions of game errors 0 actual fixes or compensation for the errors. Try to talk to customer service to fix a problem? Don’t bother you get a generic prescripted message that basically says to bad and they close the case. You lost rewards? Money? An event do to bugs in the game? Oh well they don’t care to bad deal with it. I will never ever ever play another one of this companies games again nor will the over 100 people I met in this one. Shame too for them because we’ve all spent thousands a piece and refuse to spend another dime. They hit their wallets and there reputation with this one. 10 out of 10 recommend you save your time, money, and breathe and just stay away from this and all similar games by this developer. BUYER BEWARE! And I promise if you play you’re a buyer this cannot be played for free no matter what it says. Don’t believe me follow the reviews

Only the rich survives

. Generic customer service responses may come with this review telling me to offer suggestion how to better the game along with an email address. Do not be fooled by this copy and paste approach . Games like these are nice to play, not for long though maybe 1 day to 7 days then you quit for all eternity. It’s Kool to build friends in an alliance. I find these games are therapeutic and an entrapment. Don’t have a job well this one makes you pay them to work. Not bashing them though , these style of games flourish because ppl have a gambling nature, as do I . However I gamble investments now. If your reading this save your money and time. Do not pay this company or any mobile game that you have to compete with people you don’t know the state of their money to throw away without any feeling of loss. They could be hired by the company to reel you in or they just have a lot of money to burn , if you have a competitive nature you will feel down if you can’t win these wonderful people. Just play for fun and quit when you want , the game and story is worth something however not with its predatory approach. Reason I waste my time to write this knowing anyone can just read the reviews , well why not. It’s best to join the people telling you the truth. YOUVE BEEN WARNED

Good game for any age

I Dont Know a lot about the game, I still trying it but I’m going to be honest with you, what got me into try and play this game, it’s the advertisement I always watch playing another games, it’s hilarious and make it look more interesting, FINALLY a game that People promotes kinda fun environment for almost every age ?? I still checking the game, so I may be wrong?? Maybe not?? But until now, I’ve been seeing a lot games supposed to be for kids and promoting a lot “ adult reality “ for not putting in another way ( example husband cheating his pregnant wife and left her by herself ) not gonna say name of the games lol Hahahaha that in my opinion is not appropriate for very young age, so you guys have very healthy view of things that really make me interested in the game ( I may be wrong what’s going on inside of the game / every game has their problem with toxic People or even scammers, but until now, I love it!! ) Sorry for the long review but I really need to pointed out about how you guys attract People to the game and you guys got my respect and a loyal player :)

After playing this....

After playing this for a while now, I can safely say that this is one of those games that you should try if you don’t have any other gaming device. After a while it can be a little tedious with the upgrading but if you can get past that, you don’t need to dump dollars into this game; I find it amazing that I can play this nonstop for an hour or two seeing what I can do, if you have a decent alliance it opens a whole new opportunity of new things to do. 1. Teaming up to rally barbarian camps and ravagers, if you can do this you will get a ton of speed ups for upgrading... the only problem is that you can have stamina issues and you’ll need to wait maybe an hour for it to replenish. 2. You can get decent boosts with alliance research and you’ll get aid and help from your alliance members when you need it. 3. In big events having friends is a big win! You can get big rewards for doing little things. I’ve been playing it for a month now and I have been doing really good. If you read this good luck and have a great time playing this!

Failure to be reasonable

The game play is smooth, the events are nicely constructed, some have helpful rewards… My issue is that they never miss a chance to be complete money grubbing wh**es. Shielding for 24 hours for free should be attainable for free with participation and donations.. it’s not. The amount of gold everything costs should be cut by 2/3. A dragon shadows should be sold for a reasonable subscription which how important it is to everything you do. When you reach a certain point there shouldn’t be lv 6 rss spawning next to forest center it should all be max level rss, monsters and barb rallys. Your “search function” does the exact opposite of its purpose. VIP12 is unobtainable and by the time you do the benefits are useless because you are already past the point of needing them. Chat pictures should be larger. Can barley see their avatar and if you view their profile you don’t even see the uploaded photo. The ingots to forge the rss gathering and construction/tease arch armor is like Bigfoot, someone a long time ago said they saw one but fool me once if they can prove that report was true. Old ingredients of no use should be transformable into something useful.

FALSE ADVERTISING

NO NO NO! Any ad I have seen for this game has been completely fake. Do not think your playing some Age of Empires mixed with Elder Scrolls style game. You have two screens, your home base and the larger map area (maybe some other options screens). Also right now the screenshots on the App Store are just fake. Every single ad I have seen for this game has made it look like something completely different. This also is the EXACT same game as Mafia City and Guns of Glory. There are probably more games that have been copied and pasted like this one, but this might be the first. Minimal creativity and extremely disappointing when you realize how much of this game has just been copied to other games. It is absolutely not alright to lead people on with completely misrepresented gameplay in ads linking to this terrible crap. Clearly the people falsifying the advertising know what people want to actually play....so why is the game not exactly like what the ads lead you to believe. The advertising campaign for these games is impressive, clearly people are falling for it, then settling for a subpar game. I am not. I am extremely disappointed and feel like I have been mislead by false ads making this game look much cooler than it really is. Don’t give these people money or your time. This is just terrible.

Happy but not happy

This game is a very fun social game. there is a lot of great people to talk to but I wish they would update there chat rooms with spell check and mems. they update all game play which makes it interesting and fun and hard all at the same time which a game is supposed to do but seriously it’s 40% game play and 60% politics/ chatting so really wish they would spend a little time making chats better and be able to send /post screen shots. And they say it’s not pay to play but we all know who play the game it is pay to play and I get that the game needs to make money to profit and grow but they made it insane with how much u need to spend just to contend I have been playing for over a year now and haven’t made it to 30 yet and mostly because I help out other alliance members more then my self so that being said I do love the game just wish they would chill with the paying to play so much and update the chat..... Mainly update the chat guys for real.... would still recommend this game for anyone looking to socialize and be a part of a team

GOOD GAME HOWEVER ( READ BELOW)

Good game however it’s rigged for only Chinese players to get packs at a cheaper price then u.s players . It’s almost impossible to compete at the level when they can buy packs for cheaper and because of this there’s no way to have a even war in a fight for thrown . I have been playing this game for 5 years and have spent thousand of dollars for me to only throw my gloves and retire from this game due to the selfish game developers making it affordable for Chinese players to buy packs and a fair price then any other country . I can spend $1000 in packs to get my stats up but then you will have a Chinese player spend $200 and have better stats then me due to his packs being much more cheaper to buy, this is why I got tired of buying packs and ended up buying resources from online players that sell resources at a fair deal . I am very happy since quitting game much more money in my pocket and I don’t have to spend on a game that developers don’t care if there gamers but only if there Chinese players . Anyhow if you download and play this game you will regret it for the money that you will need to put into it just to have stats because If not you will only be bait for the enemy and will never grow unless u spend money

Let me start by saying this is an amazingly fun game but more so because the players you grow a bond with and strive to grow stronger together. however that being said this app constantly expects you to come outta pocket to much n gives to little in return for what you spend. Your constantly having to spend money to obtain things of better stats n once you have they then update game make things bought no longer items u have to buy but items which you can now obtain threw game for everyone for free then if you’d like better items you’ve gotta pay all over again. also keep in mind depending on lvl or power your offered different purchase package then let’s say you newer smaller account so it’s totally uneven across board. NOT TO FORGET other countries also get more then other for buy items so they constantly have you at disadvantage so enjoy this game as many have but buyers beware don’t waste your money buying thing it’s useless n they gain n only make you give n give as they get so greedy

Worst customer service ever!

I have enjoyed playing this game only from the friends I’ve made. However I have to say recent updates as of March 2019 have caused a lot frustration. Customer service is a bunch glorified players. Yep that’s right, taught to send prewritten messages that don’t address the issue. The messages are general and nothing is ever done. Keep in mind this game is rated age 13 up. If this was adult game I’d have no problem. The developers thought it would be a good idea to have a cross kingdom horn. Only kings of each kingdom can send a message across all kingdoms. That was annoying, many people complained.. no one I know ever said hey we like those annoying messages. New update the developers have put these messages in the kingdom chat AS WELL. Why is it so bad? These Kings use profanity and send very inappropriate messages. So these messages now stay in Kingdom chat for all to see for hours. There are so many that you can’t have a normal conversation so no talks in kingdom chat anymore and so they stay! I’d prefer my 13 year old not to see the inappropriate messages. If you like the baby shark song well the annoying kings post that too via horn and it stays in your chat. The developers have started charging more for less in game as well. Find a different game.

all these reviews i’m seeing recommended to me are all negative. yes, you CAN spend big money and events need to be organized by power level, but the game is addicting!! i do think chat rooms could use some updating because some features are hard to use like how they don’t have autocorrect or a translator for my foreign friends which i think could be a very good idea. either way you think, i’ve been playing for just over a half a year with a months break a few weeks ago and i have 20 mil power and 150k troops at sh lvl 16. i haven’t spent any money. some items (like ingots for armor) can be found by fighting in rallies against barbarians or gained by doing well in events. i haven’t been playing for very long and already have 15 hegemony ingots. the game is both fast-paced at times and in other areas (like collecting hegemony ingots) you have to be patient. i am in kingdom 517 or something like that and i have virtually no hackers or too overpowered people in the kingdom. this review was sent in april of 2020, hope it helps!!

Great game and worth the time spent

I play this game everyday, and let me tell you that it is super fun. You can interact with alliance members, and if you get a good alliance then the people you get to interact with have your back. I play this game with my family and we are usually all on a phone call together playing it. When kill event comes around it is even more fun. Sure, you will lose lots of troops but if you have a good alliance then you can easily recoup the lost resources and train your troops back. Also, it isn’t hard to get a nice alliance. The game features are amazing. The labyrinth is fun to explore and it is also fun leveling up your dragon spirit and having it fight against others in the Royal Arena. The Magic Spire comes in handy a little bit but I would just like to see more protected areas, because when you are low leveled you are constantly getting hit by other high leveled people when gathering crystals. Overall this game is so worth your time, and maybe even your money if you are committed and enjoy it like I do!!

I have played many war games before. But none of them come anywhere close to what this game does. Many of the war games I have played there is always some unwritten rules of the game that ALL the players/alliances agree upon. But this game. Well let’s just say that you do not get a say in what happens in it unless you are one of the top 5 alliances on the server. Worst yet if you go against or just express your disagreement with what those 5 alliances set in place. You get targeted by those same five alliances. Even if you are one of the top 5 alliances you are not safe. The strongest alliances are nothing but tyrants and bullies. They will beat you down until you have nothing left. The worst part is that members of the top three alliances will pick on players that have over 50 million power less than them. HOW THE HECK DO YOU EXPECT TO HAVE A PROFITABLE GAME WHERE LESS THAN ONE PERCENT OF YOUR PLAYERS HOLD ALL THE POWER AND EVERYONE ELSE IS NOTHING BUT A PEASANT? If I could give this game zero stars I would.

This game is awesome

When I first got this game, it was out of boredom. I just wanted to see what it was like. Well, that was the beat decision I’ve ever made for a mobile game. When you need resources, it’s easy to gather. Sure it takes a while, but it can be done easily. The only money I’ve spent in this game is in-game currency and my Stronghold is already at level 21! The alliance I am with now is awesome too! Plus, this game makes it extremely easy to get speed ups, gold, and other resources. The new update and the 3D map are just insane. The map is kind of trippy at first because your just trying to get used to it, but I can promise you, it’s really neat. The game developers also do plenty of surveys for player feedback to see what can be improved. They do listen to you and give you all sorts of rewards all the tine. It truly is an awesome game and I’m just so happy I was bored the day I got it lol. I think I’ve played literally everyday since I got this too. I highly recommend this game!

Great concept but unable to switch Kingdom is a big disappointment

Our family played the game a while and we all had great fun, there are quite a few things to do in the game and good concept to grow alliance. However, for our friends who started the game several days later, they could not teleport to the kingdom we are in and therefore unable to join our alliance. We contacted KOA customer service multiple times, all the reply we got was that new accounts joined after certain time are unable to teleport to old kingdom, well, they just started the game literally 4-5days later than us, it’s a big disappointment that we liked the game concept and planned to build our alliance but none of our friends can join! Also there seem to be big spenders owning strong alliance bully beginner players and small alliance. We understand that all game companies want to make money, but it has to be a good balance between diversifying players base and only focusing on $ players spent. Those big spenders who don’t play the game nicely will eventually hurt a lot of players interest in the game and drive them away. Some of the language attacks and behaviors in the kingdom chat room are very bad.

Changed my mind... (edit)

This is an expensive game. Unless you want to be idle for a couple of days at a time in upgrades, you must buy the power ups. Gold is not given in any significant amounts, you must buy that, too. I don’t mind working for stuff, I wouldn’t have downloaded the game if I had an issue with raids or collecting materials. But when there are 107,000 iron in a mine, it takes an hour and a half to collect and you come back with 10,000... i hope you get my meaning. It could be great if not for these things. (Edit): Ok... I’ve been try to stick to the game, even though it takes up 4 hours just to get 27,000 iron and 36 hours to upgrade my castle... but I am checking out, now. With all of that in light, I was at level 13 with really good defenses and a sizable army. In one hit, in the middle of the night from someone 20 levels above me (seriously) I am down to under 200,000 in all my resources and down 550,000 in hit points. It would take me WEEKS to get back to where I was without spending hundreds of dollars to do it. I strongly suggest that this type of play be looked at by the creators and possibly an algorithm made to equalize the amount of resources a much more powerful opponent can receive for the attack.

Interesting game, meet some great people and form an ingame Family. This is the upside. Downside: you will spend more money here than you will in anything else you do in life with absolutely no return. I have played the game for so long and the only reason I quit is customer service. Horrible!!!!! I played two KDs and in both I’ve tried to talk to the customer service about issues and no one ever gave me an actual answer. Those that are Chinese have no problem in game. Basically if your not Chinese don’t play the game. It’s very simple. The game will force you to spend one way or another. It’s not normal spending. You can buy an Xbox and all the game and be set for life, that’s thousands for nothing. Very disappointing, very update is about spending and not about improving the game. Their thought of improving the game is spend more money to have a chance at winning against almost anyone. Also people here spend 100s of thousands in this game. Believe it or not. And at the end of the day those people do as they please. They also bribe people to leave them a 5 star review for ingame rewards. I have screenshots. It was sent as mass mail to all the players. Begging for a review that will help them make people spend more money.

Contemplating Leaving

I have been playing this game for about a year and a half. I can’t say it hasn’t been fun, and I have met some nice people from around the world. However, I am now contemplating giving it up. Here is why. I’m one of those “rare” players that have only spent .99 cents just so that I could use the bank. I refuse to spend a dime more. I am a level 24 mainly because I have always been in one of the smaller alliances that can’t really protect me or help me grow faster. Part of the fun for me was growing my city in spite of the roaming “pricks” that ignore kingdom rules and go around stealing resources from smaller alliances outside of the designated “killing Periods” set by the leader of the kingdom. Now, there is a level 35 who is hell bent on running everyone out of the game and he has a level 40 (who is the leader of the kingdom) that protects him. I have finally come to realize the KOA is not going to do anything to rectify the unrealistic inequalities that are now occurring on a regular basis. For this reason, I see myself playing less and less now. I really don’t think I can recommend this game to any serious strategy gamers. It’s probably best to steer clear of this game. Sorry!

When I started playing 3 yrs ago this game was fun. Join a alliance and take the throne. Build massive armies. (I wanted to watch them battle but no big deal I can live with turn base strategy.) I played for a yr, got mad and quit when I was being pummeled bye big guy of the server. Then they made it so you can fight other kingdoms. Lost everything and quit. There is no power restriction in the game, hey it’s a war game I get it. If you want to be king dingaling you can but you have to cough up serous amounts of money to even get strong enough. Global map needs updates, monsters need updates, labyrinth needs updates. Events need revised per player lvl. Came back last September nothing has changed. Except new monsters to 40 and lots of new equipment and junk that is not needed. But I am still playing I like the game enough to stay. But not worth the money to invest into a game that does not care about the people who play, but how big there pockets get. For a company who gets 7.5-8.9 mil per month you show no respect for people who have been there and made you what you are. Rant over. See you on the battlefield.

This game is VERY good

I have had this game for 4 years now ( I redownloaded it 2022) and it is really fun. Graphics are some of the best I’ve see. And there is always something you can do in this game, either it is completing challenges in Lord’s Reign, checking Hero’s council, or just collecting wheat, it’s just so much fun. Tbh, the adds don’t really lie about the game. It shows REAL gameplay and truly represents the game. Also, I love how this game gives the mobile game city builder theme a lot more depth and greatness. You can’t not have fun on this game. If it is checking it for 5 minutes or playing for 3 hours. It does not get boring. If your looking for a game that has the time-killer mobile game. Choose this one over one of those other games like State Of Survival because this is honesty one of the best games this studio has made. Keep on updating and adding more stuff to this game, and you’ll have the loyalist fan base in mobile gaming history! -Thanks for reading.

Fun game to kill time! However, a few things I don’t like.

I don’t like how the game throws you straight in to PVP when you first start the game. I’m sure it’s to late to change that function but I think there should be an option that allows you to opt in and out of PVE as well as PVP. I didn’t even upgrade my stronghold to lvl 3 yet and I was already being attacked. I thought it was slight over sight from the devs. The second thing is the constant advertising micro transactions. I get it, you guys have to make money. However, if I don’t want to see it on my screen allow me to remove it completely; not just reduce the size and tuck it in the corner of my screen. If I want to spend money I will. So take aways from my opinion; pace the game by letting newer plays gradually ease their way in to PvP and not have their city’s get attacked before they are even able to defend themselves. koa you never listen ipads dont work anymore

since version 9 my app wont work and i loved the game. i was one of you first 1000 players on my iphone4 and later my ipad mini3. my iphone 4quit working with v6 something and now my mini with v9. it gets to activating traps and crashes and doesnt load. im very sad. and dont give me the same bull of restart, turnoff, reload. create option for high res graphics and low res graphics and on,off buttons to cut your beutiful music. all those things are great for a ps6 or gaming computer but not for a simple fun mobile app. maybe your game works on an iphone 12 but some of us are poorer and cant upgrade as often. please fix the iGaming issues so i can return as one of your customers. also make the game load quicker. it was starting to take 4-5 min in early 2020 to load. if your being attacked by the time you load the game the attacker has drained you and you have no protection. i should be able to load your game in like 30sec or a min max. remember this isnt a high def game is a quick mobile app game we all enjoy for battles and social contacts worldwide. so lighten up the garbage events and lets get the fun v2-3 type versions again.

Great game really grabs your attention

It’s a money pit though if your down to spend money then great. But if it takes 20 tickets to get a reward they will sell you 19 tickets for $20 then they will make you spend another $20 for 19 more tickets. They know what they are doing when it comes to making you spend money. You will spend to achieve something and come just short of the goal and then have to buy a big pack again because they limit the small packs. Then the big pack gets you close to the next goal you were not even trying to reach and now it looks achievable so you buy another big pack and you come up just short of that goal and so on. Money Pit but I’ve been playing it for months now so I can’t say it is not fun I just wish they cared more about the players enjoyment than the money they intend to make.

This games amazing! Here’s some of my ideas!

I personally love this game. It’s detailed, and has way more plot than to other mobile kingdom games. But I had a theory, a good theory that might be useful for the game! You get a dragon right? So here’s the thing, once you reach your dragon level 20, you can gain these shards from chests, or daily chest. And use them to CHANGE the element of your dragon, there could be water, fire, earth, dark magic, and the special one, god of light. You can earn god of light only if you collect 20 of each shard and combine them together, which would take a while considering collecting shards would be rare to get. But the chance increases the better the chest is. That was just my idea I thought you’d might like to add in the game. Overall, very great game! Less adds which’s makes the game more fun, and more into the story then most games! Keep up the great work into the game and if you could, try and add my little detail! It might help improve! ❤️

MISLEADING

So I downloaded the game thinking it would start as the adverts shows being you practically naked and farming begging struggling finding a dragon egg stopping thieves etc etc well I downloaded the game and I started with a MASSIVE CITY castle and all and I got a full grown dragon within minutes and armies within hours after a few days I mean given enough time I could have been playing with an alliance I was being scouted by others like any time pertinent games if you don’t stop playing you will progress even if you don’t pay with that said the game is good concept wise but very misleading I have played other games like this which starts you with basically nothing that makes it more challenging and interesting this game I geared more about the $ any game that starts you early game with all that capability is all about the $$$ think about $1-10 multiplied by 100,000 people that adds up so SHAME on the developers for not actually using the game contents as the advertisement days later luckily without spending any $ I deleted the game I got real boring within hours of playing it just got redundant many other games with better challenging content with same concept

Pay to win

I have been playing this game since the very beginning and have seen both the good and the bad. Unfortunately, due to life, I had to take a two month hiatus from the game. In that time, two new tiers of every single aspect of the game were added and the materials I had were no longer applicable or had to be converted to new materials at a very low conversion rate (150=1). On top of that, they made it nearly impossible to obtain the required materials for lower level pieces and only gave you ways to get the higher level pieces (without spending money) that would take you months just to get one piece of high level gear. Additionally, anything worth purchasing is $50 a piece so unless you plan to spend a serious amount of money, you won’t be getting very far. Great game concept, events, etc. but the rewards are stingy and the paywalls are extreme to the point where the game is nearly unplayable. You can have players that get the best gear and have stats that are 4x or 5x that of a non money spenders. In summary, save yourself the time, stress, anger, and money and steer clear of this game and the greedy developers who have nothing more than dollar signs on their minds.

Awesome Expensive

The game itself is awesome. It gives you a chance to utilize your strategy and intelligent thinking to better your character throughout the game. However, if you aren’t willing to put a ton of money into it, I suggest you find a new game or you will be seriously frustrated and upset with the game within about 2 weeks, if not sooner. If you can’t afford to buy shields (aka: bubbles) other, more developed players will constantly pillage your resources to keep themselves from having to farm. Also, if you don’t have a great alliance where everyone knows what is going within the alliance and is in contact with each other, you will each fail individually. Doing this game as a stand alone character vs with an alliance is impossible. The game also needs a way for team members to be able to take screenshots of conversations and team/alliance movements. It’s really hard to try and type a bunch of stuff out to specific people when you are certain that you have an inter alliance problem and can’t put it in the alliance chat

Koa good game just money grubbing programmers

Unless you willing to pay for everything other games can play and enjoy. Love the game but programmers are greedy and do updates every couple weeks to push for more money. Update: You offer free play that is so restricted unless you purchase and if you purchase you totally get preference over any other having an issue. As far as your contacting support or help and tips.. you get a very generic response that basically says.. we will research the issue etc... and no response after that... So many players have left over the unfair treatment and preferences of paid players and you developers do is pass out surveys asking would you pay for this and of course only listen to whom ever says yes.. then bam update and a charge is then placed on the item... KOA is greedy and very self absorbed in themselves. Never get a straight answer and all you get if you complain is “ My lord we are sorry you feel this way or that but NEVER resolve the issue or complaint.. unless you have credit card in your hand.. then Yes my lord we see the issue and will resolve immediately.. “

Good game but....

Good game but it is frustrating at times. The people that pay to play are not separated from the free to play people, so you end up not being able to compete against them. This a battle game and so when you get defeated (often) by the pay to play guys it is frustrating again because it takes so long to retrain your troops. If you have higher level troops it sometimes takes two months to get back to where i was and then I could have been attacked again,....very frustrating!!!! So many of the people in our alliance quit the game because they couldn't make headway in the game. So many attacks and too long to recover. You use alot of resources to train your troops. If you do pay some for the game, it is frustrating because what you strive for or pay for in the game becomes obsolete and worthless when game announces new equipment or features. They are trying to entice the pay to play people to spend more for the new stuff while the people that worked hard for the old stuff are screwed again. Customer service is terrible. If you find a bug they almost always deny it and give you no recompense. They are just bad.

Not a Strategy Game

The game is nice and when at war against like opponents can be fun. However you have people that use their cities as landing craft. They teleport their city next to weak opponents and clobber them then run back behind their alliance of equal thuggery. No strategy is involved, they simply outspend the weaker opponent and steal everything while decimating the army they built. Essentially the weaker opponent is left with no army and no resources to build from. The building of traps, walls or defenses of any kind have no affect against opponents that double your kingdom level. The graphics are good and the play can be engaging with the dungeon type levels your spirit can explore. It’s too bad that the thugs in the game take away from the experience. So much so in my case that I was not able to participate in the events that followed that would have helped me progress further. The game left me feeling disenchanted and bitter. If I had been beaten by a superior tactic or strategy I would have continued on, but to be beaten by bullies with no reasonable method to retaliate is not a game I want to spend time and money playing.

Read this

Despite what other people have said (“unless you have spent tens of the thousands of dollars”) this game is wonderful. I have been playing for about a half a month. I have already 25k troops. This game allows you to work with other people from around the world. With this you can develop relationships but yet not have to give any information to anyone including the game itself. It is a strategy game because really you have to decide your amount of troops, location, and alliance. Honestly, when playing this game, I have to think. Of course you can spend money and get faster improvement but it is not required like others say. Unless you are being constantly attacked, there is no reason to spend money. I have not spent a dollar. I played this game because I liked the concept but it turned out to be much more. I made friends and enjoyed working with others

Over designed and complicated

This game has adds saying it’s a tower defense game and only show one “game” mode” and when you install it looks just like that adds however once you get pass the tutorial it becomes clear that this game is a city growth/faction game and the game mode you want to play is rarely available and there are a lot of different conquering animations that serve no purpose but to hold you back until you reach a certain power , you have no control over your troops and the battle is decided only by power level, which that is fine but why add that when you could use the tower defense game mode which is super fun and in my opinion could have made a perfect game mode on its own without all the extra game modes and pvp server this game is a lie and it’s only purpose is to get downloads and take money it’s not worth it, it feels like a mixture of all sorts of games and yet it offers nothing new to the table that other games don’t. It’s pointless, boring, and predictable, and the world is so boring and hard to get into 10/10 would not recommend

Game with more cheat players ever seen

The game is expensive, everything you need money to advance but even when you spent lot of money other players cheating basically are banned but in reality the deal with them to start paying a little to them, they also have “insiders” who basically are players who play without paying anything to push pressure in other players to spend more, this is documented. Some players have a ridiculous power that it's not possible unless you pay more than 300k for this game. Support takes forever to respond, some days they say it's a feature other days says it's a big anything is not working. In addition to everything I already mentioned in his Term Of Service which is basically the contract between them and us as players they said “all purchases must be done thru the game” but in real life 90% of top players used a “provider” called Bananaman who ask for access to accounts to do “we don’t know what” to provide the same pack you supposed to buy thru the application with high discounts... with this basically FunPlus violated the TOS... AVOID this is it’s an SCAM!!!

Great teamwork game!

This game. You will make friends and enemies. It’s addicting. The game allows you to either spend money to grow or, if you want, it gives you PLENTY of opportunity to keep up with free items all of the time. It’s an awesome game. The developers really spent some time making this game user friendly and also challenging at the same time. I’m getting a reward as we speak right now just to rate the game. Only flaw is there are glitches. Sometimes you can’t collect rewards or part of the game shuts down. But even so, when they correct the glitch low and behold more rewards! The friends you make on this game are on point! It’s a fun game! Just remember, if you want to get anywhere in the game invest in shields and gold though. People will attack you and you will lose all of your hard work! Be safe and have fun!

Nice game

I like it, but some things I have issue with like how damaging it is to lose all your troops and how slow to resurrect them. Also meteorite ore— where did this come from, did King Arthur find 50 meteors on the ground?— and how hard it is to obtain it without purchasing a lot of bundles. I do like the gameplay and koa deserves credit, but it is pay to win for sure. But, on the other hand, it is an excellent game and the developers need to get paid for their work. One last thing, the help and support section could get tweaked to be better. It is stressful navigating that and sometimes difficult to get help there. For example, you should be able to save your text if you have to leave the page and there should be more options for screenshots instead of just one. At least a couple more.... But I like the game and like socializing as well with my alliance.

Game of War plus extras

If you’ve played Game of War: Fire Age, Kingdoms of Middle Earth, or similar strategy games, you already know most of what King of Avalon has to offer. There are a few extra things like the Labyrinth and the Magic spite that you can use to get extra goodies, and equipment you can forge for buffs. It’s more fun than Game of War, but has the same problems. “Wallet Whales” can effectively buy out a kingdom by spending tens of thousands of dollars to advance to max level very quickly and get all the best equipment in the game. This is not an anomaly - almost every kingdom has a wallet whale for their king, and that is how the game makes money. To make matters worse, you can attack players of any level, so once a whale buys a level 40 (max level) city, he can one-shot any player in the kingdom no matter how small or helpless. End game looks pretty bleak unless you’re friends with the king, and who would want to be friends with a player who bought their way to the top instead of playing the game?

Total pay to play

Been playing this for years and this last kingdom war was the last straw. I killed 62 enemy troops to my 1million. There is no ladder for any player to climb for free for all of the in game upgrades. Want more than basic armor, buy it. Want better gems, buy them. Want better hero weapons, buy them. Everything is a buy or never get again. The few times you get parts for anything means you are working to get part pieces every day. When it is 7 parts for a single type of gemstone that needs 200 to unlock. That is a month to grind those parts. Then you start the next gemstone. Also there is a type of gemstone you can never unlock unless you buy it. Same goes for the armor. Having such a mismatched armor profile means I will upgrade the weakest first. But I’ve had enough of the constant changes where I almost have enough parts to unlock a new armor then they change the set up for the newer armor leaving me in the wind with 190 parts I can never finish off. Research is also such a joke that it’s not worth the time and resources for a measly .5-1% stat boost.

It’s a trap

I have played KoA for multiple years in multiple kingdoms. If you are ok spending $1,000’s on a game you play on your phone then it’s an amazingly fun game. The ONLY way to be competitive is to continue spend $1,000’s of dollars. It is a fun game with a social aspect of an alliance. But with out spending large sums of money you will become attached to your alliance members only to watch them die when attacked by players who regularly spend $1,000’s on this game. The upgrades you can purchase are constantly replaced by new upgrades on a sliding scale of price creating a sense of urgency that you are getting a great deal only to be replaced with an even better “deal” next week. This leaves the players in a constant battle to spend or to be insignificant on the battle field just a month or two later. The kingdoms start out very active and then start to die off 6 months to a year later leaving you with a very expensive castle in a kingdom most players have abandoned. This leaves many players with buyers remorse. Edit: Not looking for tips at the moment my cash is working just fine.

Handles cheating phenomenally

The number 1 player in the entire game has been caught on video buying resources illegally but the developers do nothing about it. Even going so far as to release a list of in game names they did reprimand (very light slap on wrist) and surprisingly enough the #1 players name wasn’t anywhere on the list. It is such a joke in the community that this developer has VERY clear Chinese bias, the the #2 player in the entire game has his profile picture as a screen shot of the #1 player buying illegal resources. This game is just a hole in the ground that you throw money into until someone drops way more money on the game to be “better” than you. This game is the epitome of pay to win. You don’t get your money’s worth either as every update invalidates the last. Being free to play seems very easy, but it’s only to put pressure on the big spenders to keep spending big. If you’re lucky you will be put into a kingdom where you play FarmVille for 11 days straight and then hide for 3 days straight until eventually someone gets tired of it and starts causing trouble.

Not what you think it is

If you are gonna get this game because you saw the ad video for it, then don’t get it. It doesn’t have any shooting action when you attack another sh, you press an attack button and literally that’s it. All the little “mini games” are boring but everyone does them because you get rewards. And, the only way you are gonna survive in this game is if you spend a lot of money and a lot more of time. If you’re not on this game 24/7, then you’ll most likely be attacked. And shields cost a lot so if you are not going to be on the game at all the whole day, you have to buy a 24 hour shield using your gold, and you rarely get gold. Also, their are a lot of mean/inappropriate people in the game so you have to be cautious. When I first got this game, it was kinda fun, but now it takes up waaaaay too much of my time, so if you’re that kind of person that isn’t busy all the time and wants to spend a giant amount of money to succeed, then this is the perfect game for you. Otherwise, I would suggest to not even download this game in the first place.

Pay to win.

So before you commit tons of time and money into this game, the first thing you need to understand is that it's pay to win. I've played this game since the 3rd week it's came out and I'm now SH26. A guy named Yandi who now has well over 1.2 BILLION power ruined the kingdom in a span of 2 days by taking out 3 major alliances without remorse. That was 6 months ago and the kingdom now only has 4 main alliances in it. Another problem is the dead kingdoms which the developers need to fix or else they are just going to keep losing high paying players. The only reason I'm giving this game 2 stars is because although it's entirely focused on pay to win, I've had amazing experiences on it and have met some amazing people. Another thing that's horrible about this game is the I unknowledgeable support team. It took me nearly 3-4 months to get a full response from them that wasn't mocking me or not being helpful. Thank you to all who have read this, T.

Love this game

I could do without having to interact with other people but that part is not so bad I guess. I take that part back I find it rather fun! I’ve come to enjoy the game way more than I did in the beginning! By now I believed I would have been done playing but I’m steady interested. I do think there are some things that could be changed, or perhaps implemented such as when out resources are ready for harvesting if we do not get to them in time, having them set aside so that we can continue to gather... or at least make it to where there is not a limit on how much it can hold. If you know what I mean. Better rewards on the Honor pass event. Oh and when it comes to the gold coins we accumulate it’d be nice if it weren’t so easy to make a mistake and use it. A confirmation on it or something would be nice.

Disappointed

This was shaping up to be such a great game. The beginning experience is just like the adds. The real time defense that is a short time commitment was an incredible design. I was looking forward to seeing all the different commanders I could have and the combinations of armies I could put forth that would fit my style of play. Then we got to the second part of tutorial. It was exploring a keep. I kept playing. It was the boring story part, the management of a keep for which you don’t have any say in placement or priority of buildings. It was boring at best and at times annoying. I decided to stick with it to get back to the part that made me so excited. I stopped playing the game after I had invested over double the time into this tedious “fix this house” scenario for which I remind again I had no say in. I’m very disappointed that the creators made such a fun game but it seemed more like it was a mini game within this whole app.
