I’m really disappointed in this app. For the glory of the resort, the app does not hold the same level. For a 5 day stay (day 3 of 5) this app may be helpful 25% of the time. Thus far, I have not been able to send a message or make a request SUCCESSFULLY on the first attempt - at all. Always says “timeout, try again” The other incredibly frustrating prob is the virtual map. Would be awesome to have a pdf map on the app. The virtual one seems exciting because you hold it up in front of you and it tells you where things are in that direction. However it’s super sensitive that it’s almost impossible to use. What it needs is an option to select an area of place to go and have it guide you through how to walk to it (or suggest to you to get a shuttle ride. Has lots of room for potential, but listening to the guests is the only way to make this app as bomb as your resort.
The app has a lot of features that would be fantastic to use. However, we cannot ever get one to go through on either of our phones. It keeps saying message failed. Try again. It seems to time out while trying to send a message. However, sometimes room service gets the request and sometimes they do not so we would send the request in and then have to call room service anyway to make sure they got it. Frustrating for us and the employees.
Barely usable app that doesn’t match the friendliness and beauty of the resort. Everyone refers you to the app, but the app doesn’t actually do anything it’s supposed to do well. Navigating it is maddening, which some pages refusing to load until you force quit and reload the app. Good luck going back a page if you need to back out. 5 out of 6 times, the UI doesn’t scale properly when navigating backwards, resulting in touchable items hidden from screen (forcing another restart). Many of the pictures advertising events look interesting, but when you click on them, you realize the app just takes you to the same image, just larger (with no additional information). Worst of all, the “schedule of activities” makes you swipe all the way from Saturday (on the far right) to Sunday (on the far left) to see the following week’s activities (which is completely counterintuitive.
The could be a bit more friendly. Great to look up room service items but unable to order anything from the App. This goes the same for housekeeping requests. The activity schedule and restaurants menu’s are great. This could be so much better if the interactions would work.
We’ve visited El Dorado Castias serval times over the past few years. This app worked well in 2020 and 2021, but now consistently times out and loses connection. Aside from checking the daily scheduled activities, it’s basically useless. Ordering room service never succeeds. Hotel services go unanswered u less you ring the front desk from your room. Very disappointed with the lack of support and updates.
Accurate. Try to order room service. Works 1 out of 7 attempts. And I mean 7 different nights. Activities don’t load unless you’ve found your way into four different sub tabs and then they show up. It could be so great.
Why is the resort not considering all these horrible reviews and making corrections to this app??? Constantly glitches, tells us our access has been revoked while we’re still at the resort, can’t send room service requests…the list goes on and on. Fix the app, it’s not worth using as it is, simple as that.
This has to be one of the worst applications in the Apple store. You get all excited about having an application hep you with your stay. The application does not work. The wrong menus come up, you can’t submit anything (it says error) etc. makes me never want to stay at the el dorado again!!! Ruined the trip.
But does not work when there to contact hotel. Recommend getting what’s app and contact your concierge or butler that way. It logs you out and then you have to go to the front desk or call to get authorization. Good app overall but needs work!
Since arriving they have tried to swindle money to drop the room to a lower tier, have not had room for everyone to have dinner each night, and only valued male input to actually act.
Forget trying to request any concierge services through this. It times out every time. You will be forced to arrange stuff through your concierge in person. The app has several screens that have no way to go back to the Home Screen. You will be forced to force quit the app and start over. I’m pretty sure the resort is working on a different system, but be aware that as of 12/13/21, this app barely works. Merry Christmas.
