German American Mobile Banking

This app is so easy and convenient! All your personal bank accounts are located at the home screen along with the total balance in each. It also gives you the details for your account such as account number, interest rates, and interest earned. I also like how it shows where each transaction with your debit/credit card was and how much you spent along with the new bank balance!

The site is easy to get around and access. I can do pretty much and I could do on a desktop computer with my online banking. The Touch ID makes it super fast to check my account whenever I need to.

Instead of using Face ID to log back in after leaving the app, it tells you your session has expired. You have to hit okay, then log in, and then you get Face ID prompted. It’s kind of annoying hitting “Ok” to the prompt every single time I open the app. Everyone who uses banking apps knows that sessions expire, my face doesn’t though, so just log me back in with my face without telling me my sessions expired in a prompt I have to dismiss before being able to see if I got the extra cash for McDonald’s.

The quick balances widget is broken for me with this last update. It tells me to go into the app to enable the quick balance widget, so I go in there, and it tells me I have no eligible accounts. I don’t see any way within the app to send developer feedback, so hopefully this reaches someone. I do appreciate the devs fixing the issue with the repeat cash back notifications I was getting with the update before this one.

It is very annoying that each time you open the app to make a deposit you have to rotate your phone for 15 to 30 seconds before you can actually start the photo process

It tells me everything I need to know right away, and I love how you have to use the password to open the app. I’m currently using an iPhone X and it works perfect with my Face ID. Great job everyone!

Withdrawals reflected from one account but never as a payment in the account that it matters. Has happened twice in past year and is still reflected inconsistently in spite of inquiry. Extra payments on HELOC as well as regular payments. Concerning. Raises questions that we shouldn't have.

I would give it a 5 stars but you can’t access your credit card from the app

This app has not worked well for me. I have to uninstall and reinstall it several times per week to get it to work. Very frustrating!

This is one the easiest Aps to use. Great detail, nice transfer ability and easy to pay bills, if you have bill pay. Great job!

Very frustrating! Locked me out before I could even start. They sent me about 3 difference pieces of mail containing 3 different pieces of login info. Very frustrating!

The German American app is the simplest and most convenient app. Having the ability to deposit checks & check my account balances at all times of the day is awesome.

I have contacted the bank about my balance not being “live” but instead 2-3 days old. Deposit on Friday and it shows up on Monday from the app. Use the debit card and the deduction shows up 24-48 hours later. Asked a bank employee and she was more concerned about which phone I had Apple or Samsung. Would love to give this app more stars, but I can’t.

This app is so user friendly and has simplified at home banking 100%. The only downside I have found is I miss seeing the sweet ladies at Holland Ind branch

German American Back is like a member of my family. They are the most pleasant and knowledgeable people in the business. Especially the branch at Booneville New Harmony Road.

Has so many of the same options as the desktop site, very helpful!

German American has amazing employees in office. But when I can’t make it in- the app makes life so much easier!

I love the fact that German American has an app so that I don't have to keep my receipts! Excellent support with Apple Pay and even 3D Touch optimized!

I have a non existing notification that doesn’t appear when I click on it. It’s annoying.

This is such an easy tool to use.

The app is always inaccessible multiple times throughout the week. So is the website. If it’s not too late, you’d be much better off banking somewhere else if keeping an eye on your money is important to you.

I love this app especially the widget but the widget has recently stopped working on my Iphone6. Can this be fixed

Anytime i want to look at my bank app it is down. I get an error just about 80% of the time when logging in

I'm not sure why but it won't load

They take many days to give you the balance and to show what you spend

It would be extremely helpful if the app developer would add a memo line. Currently when we make a transfer there is no way to indicate what the transfer is for. We DO NOT like flying blind.

I’m a broke high school student. If I knew this app would have charged my debit card I wouldn’t have downloaded it. $10 wasted 🤦‍♀️

...when an app keeps pestering you for a review?

I love the convenience of this app! I can schedule my bills to be paid automatically and that they will there before the due date! I can also look back for months and compare them from month to month.

I can't even log in bc it says that you have to login on a desktop to accept the conditions of the mobile banking. (They should have offered to accept them before their update when they warned us of their update, since most updates cause nothing but issues). What happens when the only internet source you have is your phone? I've always been able to login before on my phone, so I should be able to do so now regardless of the update. They have an option to click on to go to their full site yet when you click on it, it doesn't take you to their full site. It takes you back to where you started. If you are going to have that as an option, make sure you are actually allowing it as an option. Otherwise you shouldn't list it as an option. When I called the tech support she just got my info and kept putting me on hold while she asked other people "her resources" on what to do. Then her final response was go to a library to use their desktop. Why should I have to go to the library for their error???

GABC has raised the bar and the standard once again. This is such an easy and user friendly banking app. LOng over due, but worth the wait!!

Great app. Nice and clean, easy to use, seems to work well. Wasn't a fan of having to log on to the desktop to accept the terms and conditions but this is still a farcry from having to actually use the website on my phone.

I love anything that is simple to do specially in technology. This app is just simple and easy to use and I love that it shows the available balance with pending transactions.

This one does what I need and more. Always works, has never crashed in months of regular use. Highly recommend!
