Today I was going to a formal charity event and I had a makeup artist, hairstylist and manicurist to my Home. In 50 mins I had all three services completed, my makeup was stunning, my hair was gorgeous and my nails were perfection! The price was incredibly reasonable as well- to have all three services done at once in my own home in less than an hour. I couldn’t have done that anywhere else in town. I will be using this service again and again. Thank you Miya and Tori for such a great experience!

Do not use! More often than not you will receive someone who is not worth the price.

The concept of this app is great but they don’t deliver advertised quality services. They are only receiving two stars becuase I was able to get a makeup artist last minute. The problem is that you do not get quality people. There is no rating or review system so they have no reason to do a good job. If you get Christine L. in NYC or Nassau county, cancel your appointment. She did a terrible job for my sisters sweet 16. Used the wrong foundations color. Asked her to fix and made it look worse. Terrible eye make up skills. No blending of eye shadow. She couldn’t do a winged eyeliner. I made her redo it twice and I still had to go fix it myself. She claimed to have been in make up for more than 10 years. They are not doing a good job at vetting and do not give the customers the chance to leave reviews warning others of their faults. I am sure there are some good ones but there is just no way to know. This is not an acceptable risk when you have an important event.

DISASTER!

I scheduled hair and makeup weeks in advance for an important photo shoot for a business I am launching. Everything was confirmed and while the hair person was there on time (and she was lovely) the make up artist wasn’t showing up. After 40 minutes I was starting to panic since I had a camera crew coming in an hour. I sent her a note in app asking if she was on her way when she replied that she decided to close her books that day (translation - I’m not coming) and that they should find a replacement. I called customer support only to be told that they don’t know why she didn’t show and that I wouldn’t be charged for a cancellation!?!?!? I mean WHAT? I spent the next 20 minutes trying to get a manager to find out what happened. They said sorry and that they would credit me a complimentary session in the future. I had to do my own make up in 20 minutes and feel like the day was really negatively impacted. I’m deleting the app and will never trust them again. Very disappointing.

Loved my hair and makeup!!

The TEMPTU airbrush is a total make-up game changer! I’ve been a Glamsquad convert for a while—hands down the most convenient way to get a reliably amazing, fast blow out (even for a curly girl). I finally tried TEMPTU Sunday and my normally oily skin was shine-free all night. And by all night I mean from 3pm to 3 am!! My make-up artist and hair stylist both executed perfectly on my vision and worked seamlessly together. They totally got me in the mood/confident for my big night!

Great experience

I had a 1:00 appointment and my hair stylist was about 15 minutes late but i was called at 12:45 to let me know about the delay. It wasn’t a big deal to me but they gave me a little bit of a discount for the inconvenience which was so nice. My stylist couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating to my needs. I’m picky with my hair and she was so great and redid the updo until I was happy. Plus the app was super easy to use. Win win.

1st time customer for an updo.

This was my first appointment with Glam Squad. Some would have been nervous but I was not. Michael-Sebastian Baker was my stylist and he was fabulous. He has a very “chill disposition and made me feel so at ease. I told him a couple of ideas I had and he did the rest. He looked at my dress and my makeup and did it so incredibly fast. I love the look. I would definitely use Glam Squad again and if I am in the LA area I will request Michael-Sebastian.

Quality varies dramatically

I have tried the app over the last two years 6 times in two cities. In NYC I had a great experience both hair and make up team were on time, pleasant, and did an excellent job. In Boston, there have been with issues of lateness or not following style request (despite showing photographs of past blow out). I agree it would be a better app if there was a way to review publicly and request not to have a provider again ( you can request one you liked again but not the other way).

First time use and I loved it

I had hair and makeup done for a holiday party and I have nothing but wonderful comments. The ladies were prompt and professional. They asked about my preferences and worked together to create a beautiful look. I previously resorted to Mac or blue mercury for makeup and although I love them, this was better. An amazing makeup artist and with no interruptions. I’ll use this service from now on for all my makeup and hair needs.

A great service

I have used the hair styling service fairly regularly and have found the stylists to be well trained and very good. They come on time, are professional, well equipped, friendly and efficient. The Glamsquad customer service is also helpful and accommodating. I like the way the app sends an email confirmation of the appointment and also texts you a reminder as the appointment time approaches.

Cancelled 30 minutes before appointment

They called me thirty minutes before my noon appointment to cancel and said they didn’t have anyone else who could make it up. Given the late notice, I didn’t have time to go to a salon since I had to leave for my event shortly after. When I spoke to the person on the phone, she said she was going to double check to see if there was someone else available around 1PM and would call me back in ten minutes. She never called back. The lack of communication and unprofessionalism was a little astounding. It’s a convenient service if it works, but you shouldn’t rely on it.

Love the Glamsquad

I have been using the Glamsquad for nails and hair and absolutely love them. I’ve never had a stylist come that I have not liked, although, I’ve found my favorites. My only issue is because I live on the West Coast, if I try to make an appointment in the evening around 9pm, the app is closed, which I find frustrating. I think you have to accommodate us in California!

Test run went great!

Emily K did my daughter’s make-up and she did a beautiful job! We did a test run to see if we would be satisfied with the results and were definitely were! My daughter felt beautiful and confident. Emily was patient and kind and was professional in every aspect. We will be using Glam Squad again :)

Poor customer service

I’ve been trying to add a service to an existing appointment for over two days. I tried first on the website but kept crashing. I emailed customer service and not only has customer service been slow in responding, but when she did, she asked me a question that showed she did not read my request at all. I downloaded the app to try to add on service, and that kept running into error messages too. After a few tries, I got several confirmation emails in a row, and now my appointment is completely wrong. Very disappointing.

I have used numerous other apps like Glamsquad and have been consistently pleased with their service providers and most importantly Glamsquad’s customer service staff. I use Glamsquad quite frequently (especially when traveling) and have had great service wherever I’ve gone.

My son’s wedding is today! The GLAMSQUAD was referred to me by his fiancée. What a great experience! I had my hair and makeup done in my hotel in NYC and it is fabulous. The two gals were professional, personable and quite talented. I am so happy that I chose to use them and I’ll definitely use them again. Now, all I need to do is get dressed! Thank you GLAMSQUAD.

Short notice, beautiful blowout

I was able to call and get a blowout with about 1.45hr notice (same day). My stylist arrived a few minutes before our appt. Set up quickly and I was finished in about 40 mins. Very nice blowout and lovely experience with stylist. Grateful to have had this service in my home.

Perfection

Absolutely loved my first experience with Glamsquad. My only complaint is that I didn’t know about them sooner. Had my makeup done for an event. Stylist was professional, talented, nice, patient, and just nailed it in terms of the look. From booking to payments to sitting for the service, all was perfect. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience!

Lucas was way beyond expectations. Truly a skilled artist. I went to GlamSquad because I was having a professional headshot taken and I felt it was very risky that I did not know the artist-but I didn’t have time to do research and took a chance. He was so talented-it was the lottery! My makeup was great. And he is such a nice guy to boot!

Loved it. Got the Temptu airbrush for my birthday night out and loved it. Photographed great and got tons of compliments.... I enjoy doing my own makeup but clearly this was high quality professional makeup.... all in the comfort of my own home so I didn’t have to run around to get my makeup done adding to an already stressful hectic day! I had 2 appointments today in NY when the weather is really bad. ( storm snow raining etc) Both of them, the hairdreser and makeup people came on time and were very professional. It’s not my first time I use this company in NY and Miami. It’s a great service I can get when I travel. Thank you.

Great but would like to be able to choose artist

I needed a last minute makeup artist for my trip to Boston. Although my artist was great, as a first time user I was uncomfortable and a bit anxious not knowing what to expect. I’m a bit picky with my style and it would have been better if I was able to browse available artists based on a bio or portfolio.

I downloaded the app late last night because I needed a makeup artist in the last minute for my daughters prom. Karen was able to come today and I must say that she did a beautiful job. She didn’t go heavy and made my daughter look sun-kissed, as she requested. I will use Glam Squad again and again.

Love this app!

My stylist was super punctual and knew exactly how to get the look I wanted. She was perfectly charming and uber fast. You can’t beat having a great Pro come to you and have you looking Fabulous in under 45 minutes. Will definitely be making this a regular indulgence. Love ♥️

Amazing experience

Great customer service ! I do wish Glamsquad would expand their travel area, I live in Kendall but I drove to one of my friends houses for the service. Other than that Barbie did an updo for a wedding I have tonight and she was just so amaizng! Highly recommend! Thank you Glamsquad

I’m in NY for a wedding and found this app. I scheduled a hair and makeup appointment and everything turned out great. I loved the convenience of scheduling and having everything done in my hotel room. I’d love to be able to do the same at home for parties and weddings in Denver, CO!

Glamsquad great stylists

This was the second time I’ve used Glamsquad and it was very easy to book through the app as well as reach someone on the phone to make changes. The stylist was amazing and quick and very patient with my picky girls. Our hair even looked great the next day!

Unpatriotic and rude

I found the management team’s response insensitive and unpatriotic when the Port Authority terrorist attack left me stranded in traffic under the Lincoln Tunnel and late for for my Glam Squad appointment. There was clearly a city wide crisis in New York and a no exceptions policy is not what I’d expect in a situation like that. That said the stylist and aestheticians are wonderful and gracious.

Cassandra was great!

Cassandra did a great job on my makeup! She came totally prepared and made me look great. She works in TV and film so she can get you ready for pictures. I got compliments all night from people at my party! I 100% recommend her! One other thing was how great she was with my cat!

Unfair cancellation policy when GS cancels on you

I generally love Glamsquad and use them often. My stylist was a no-show this morning though (2nd time that’s happened), and I learned that if a stylist doesn’t show for you, you get a $25 credit for future, however if you cancel on a stylist last minute, you have to pay $50 + 20% service fee. Doesn’t seem like a fair policy to me. My time and commitments are as important as my stylist’s. I hope Glamsquad will reconsider this policy.

Awful

I want to say how disappointed I am in my services. One of our makeup artists showed up 20 minutes late, clearly strung out on drugs, reeked of cigarettes and alcohol and refused to put lipstick on my mom, instead told us to walk down the street to the Walgreens and buy one! I will never use Glamsquad again. Also, nowhere upfront did it say we would be automatically charged 20% gratuity, so now we double tipped everyone. I feel I’ve been scammed

Never showed up!

First night out after having a newborn and was excited to get my hair done, even had the babysitter come early. I have probably had my hair done less than 5 times in my life, so was excited for this. But the stylist never showed up. I called customer service twice and it went to voicemail, as I was wasting the little time I had wondering if they were about to come or if I needed to get myself ready. Very disappointing!

Disappointing

Tried twice, both major disappointments, including booking a special occasion service for a major event. Hair full of product and not flattering or like sample photos. Pressured by stylists to tip cash / Venmo on top of 20% default included and client is required to cover parking in the city. Value isn’t there given disappointing results and gambling on stylist you get. I don’t plan to use again.

Terrible

Booked appointment for a manicure someone called 15 minutes before appointment time to say manicurist had to cancel and someone would call me back same day to reschedule. It’s been 3 days and still haven’t heard anything! Women that called me to cancel also said I would receive $50 credit for the inconvenience but haven’t received anything from them.
