To make a long story short, I was introduced to this game after seeing my best friend and her cousin completely addicted to it. I was a little skeptical, but I tried it out on their phone after a brief demo of how it was played. Game play is simple- simply tap the screen and the hook will descend, leaving you nothing to do but swipe your finger across the screen to catch the fish. I have been playing this for a while now, and still find myself playing it a couple times a day. Yes, like other reviews you do see a lot of ads, mostly if you want to double your money to be able to dive deeper and earn more money while offline. While they don’t bother me too much, it’s a small price to pay rather than shelling out real money to upgrade. However, I do have a few suggestions I’d like to make to make the game a bit interesting. I’d like to go deeper, perhaps even encounter a Kraken or other big sea creatures. Maybe being able to unlock other fishing poles could help attract fish that are worth more or extremely rare. Also, maybe random things like treasure chests or a mermaid spotting would entice other player
This game is very weird in that it is horribly monetized. First, let’s start with the gameplay loop. You tap the screen to throw your hook into the water and you drag your finger left and right to collect fish as you reel back up. Once back at the surface the game counts your fish and gives you a gold reward based on what kind of fish and how many you caught, that is the entire game by the way. When you want to collect your money the game forces you to watch an ad. The gameplay loop is way to fast to support this kind of monetization. You’ll be watching ads way more often than playing the game itself which is a good way to disincentivize people playing the game at all. If you do want to support the dev’s for the frankly lackluster game you’ll be paying $7.99 for a no ads experience. However it’s just not worth it because in the game itself is a way to gain so much money that you don’t even need to play it to get all the things in the game. The reason for the one star is because there is a horrendous subscription in the game that charges $6.49 PER WEEK! Nothing in the game that I’ve seen even remotely justifies such a predatory subscription from a bottom of the barrel fishing game. Which calls into question why such a thing is even in the game. I imagine it has something to do with young children and unsupervised credit cards.
This app is amazing. I love the whole concept of getting better and better fish as you get deeper. But there are a couple of problems. For some reason, it won’t let me watch an ad to get more money. Like I’ll get 40,000 in a catch and it’ll give me the option to triple it if I watch the ad, so I click it and...! Nothing happens. I’ve restarted my phone, exited out of the app, and as far as I know you don’t need to buy anything to be able to click on that. At the beginning it was working, but now it isn’t. It’s not so bad that it’ll make me delete the app, just pretty annoying. Now, the ads that you don’t earn anything from are a WHOLE other story. 90% of the time I’ll have to watch an ad after catching something and it’s really annoying. This game is super funny and I totally recommend it, but please, can you fix these two problems? It makes the whole experience less... fun. Anyways, I recommend it, but keep in mind that the ads that give you prizes don’t work and the regular ads pop up a bunch.
I entirely understand that free apps need ads in order to make money, but the amount of ads popping up is taking away from the game. After I’m done fishing I’m always asked if I want to double my catch by watching an ad. 90% of the time it will still play an ad when I click no but there will not be reward which becomes frustrating. The game is very fun and addicting, but stopping every time I make a catch to watch an ad makes me want to stop playing. I would recommend the creators to find more unique ways to include optional ad watching for boosts, and reduce the pop ups the best you can while still making money. Given a choice people will make the one you want more often, I’m more likely to watch an ad for a boost if I haven’t been previously made to watch multiple without reward. With less interruptions in between gameplay, more people are likely to enjoy this app and recommend it to others. The current amount of ads won’t be needed to make a living off the game. Overall the game has a beautiful design and is very addicting to play. Hopefully there can be adjustments in the future that continue to better it. Thank you
I recently downloaded this game because it looked super fun, i was right and wrong! its a fun game but theres so many ads. i have to turn my wifi off while i play! and aside that i beat the game within 3 days! after that it started glitching and didn't let me buy any more boosts,every time i tried to fish it wouldn't let me go a deeper depth because i already maxed out! the numbers covered my whole screen! please fix the game! add updates or your players will be bored of it so fast. other then that the game is okay, doesn't bother me so much with in app purchases which is nice if you let a kid borrow your phone. A lot of the reviews complain about the ads so maybe fix that? try to listen to your customers at the LEAST, the audacity I swear.. anyways the only reason i gave it 2 instead of 3 stars was because this reminded me of many other games, and so im guessing you were inspired by club penguin maybe? or maybe you just straight up copied them without credit. also, i get frustrated on how i have to watch a ad just to get a boost? i want to buy the boost with coins not spend a hour of my life watching ads thanks! hope you take this to consideration! sending all hate from my iphone! :)
I’ve been trying to find a game like this for a long time. It seems like every game has levels and quests you have to complete, which I hav absolutely no problem with! It makes the game a whole lot interesting, but this one of those games where if you’re stressed out or just want to relax while listening to music then you can just play this. There is no way to lose and you just sit there and fish. I find it really find to go deeper into the ocean and find the new types of fish I can catch! If you don’t like games without a little challenge or strategy, this game isn’t for you. But, if you’re looking for a game that will keep you entertained as well as keep your stress levels low, then you should definitely download this. I have to say it does have quite a few ads, but that can easily be resolved by putting on airplane mode or turning off cellular data for it! Overall it’s an amazing game and I absolutely love it!
This game is super fun and addicting! I love catching and finding new fish and upgrading so that my fishing pole can go deeper, but one problem about this app is the advertisements. They just pop up and keep on popping up. When your fishing net can only take 3 fish, in the beginning of the game, it felt like an ad would pop up every single time I caught 3 fish. And it felt like I was getting ads every second! Every time you catch all of your fish and get your money, an ad pops up out of nowhere and it really annoys me. I want to play your very great game! But with all those advertisements, I can’t. It feels like 70% of the time I’m watching an ad on this game. It’s fine when they appear once in a while, but I don’t want an ad to appear every. Single. Time. $3.99 Is actually a lot of money to just get ads off of the game. You can buy at least 2 apps with that money! Maybe .99 and that would be better. I also feel like the advertisements are very repetitive, what I mean by that is by putting on the same ad every single time. Very Great Game! Very Great Idea! Very Great Everything, event for ads.
This game is actually pretty fun; the concept of collecting all the different fish really drove me to get the app. I really like it but there are sooooo many ads. It gets to the point where the game is unplayable due to the amount of them. When you’re fishing they have banner ads at the bottom of the screen and if you accidentally tap on them when you’re fishing, then it’ll take you to a different page and ruin that round. But wait, there’s more! After that botched run due to the banner ad, now you have to watch another video ad after that round! And the same thing will happen virtually every round; the highest number of rounds that I’ve played without getting an ad is 2! In most games, the price to get rid of ads is $0.99 or $1.99 at most, but in this game the price is $3.99! I would never spend money on a game like this, but that’s just unacceptable. Please fix this developers, I know you need the money, but at this point it just seems like you are money hungry pigs who can’t stand to make a decent game at the loss of a bit of ad revenue. If you reduce the number of ads, then I’d be happy to change my review to 5-stars.
this game is so addicting but the ads are overboard
listen, this game is one of the best and most addictive games i’ve ever played, but the ads! come on! really? i understand the producers need to make money off of ads but maybe a little less? every time it asks me to double or sometimes triple my money by watching an ad or not and just claim the money with NO. AD. but it always gives me ads even if i press no. there hasn’t been one round of playing where i haven’t gotten an ad (even if i say no). Lately it gives me the option to double or triple my money or not and i would always click double and triple even when i don’t want to because i know either way i would be getting an ad, but lately it gives my the option to double and triple and when i go to press it like always, it doesn’t let me. the button goes full as if i can’t press it anymore and i have to watch the ad. it makes me so annoyed! one time i collected $7,500 and it gave me the option to TRIPLE it!! that would give me $22,500! of course when i tried to press the button it went dull and it wouldn’t let me press. SO ANNOYING! overall this is a fun game but with all the problems listed i just want to delete it all together.
The game is great! It is a lot of fun and it is just so much fun to play like on a road trip! I give this game 5 stars! So you are probably wondering why I put 3 stars then, well this is why. This game is super fun, but the ads in the game really kills it. I would be caught up in playing and I just want to collect my money instead of doubling because I would have to watch a video ad. So might as well doubled the money in the first place. The hack is to play the game with no internet if you guys don’t want ads to keep popping up. No need to spend money to remove the ad. It is a waste of money. Another hack is... so the game allows you to get money while being offline. It is a great way to get people to come back to play the game. But since I can play offline, the game does not track the actual timing, so I go into my settings and change the date/time so I can gain money quick. Kind of ruins the purpose of the game, since you play to get more money. But I maxed out the net catch count (it’s 50 catches max), I also maxed out the meter limit (1290M max), as well as the offline earning ($8,745,696,655,291/Min max) Giving the game 4 stars because it is a great creative game. I can see the business making in the game. Con is the game is too well hacked. I maxed out the game :/
Now, the reason I put 4 starts is because of this response—- This game is awesome with tones of people joining everyday! But it’s just another hook on. At first when you enter the game, you are greeted to fish after some big money rewards, ads start rolling in. At first they are only at the bottom. But then it gets worse. When ever you catch a batch of fish and you collect you money an ad pops up and you haft to watch the video just to earn money that you fished for. This happens every time no matter what. So I turned off my WiFi. And I could fish peacefully without ads bothering me. But after a while you realize, that your not earning any money from each batch you grab. The game works off of ads, the only way you are making money off of fish is watching ads. You haft to watch an ad to actually get currency. If the game was not like this it would be a lot more fun. I recommend only patient people would hav fun. Or if you like ads. They only make money by ads. The game is fun when you have currency. Don’t download this game. Go play “Gangstar Vegas” by Gameloft! This game could be improved by not a lot of ads.
Tl;dr: The game is great, but too many ads and too expensive to remove them Every freemium game is going to have ads and microtransactions, it’s just a part of the business; many people choose not to spend money and advertisements are the only way to stay afloat, it’s understandable. However, Go Fish! takes it a little too far. In a game where play consists of short 5-6 second rounds, ads should be used sparingly due to the frequency of rounds in and average session. Every 2-3 rounds, the player is bombarded by 30-second ads. Considering the average round time and frequency between ads, the time spend playing is about equal to time spent watching ads. After my first few minutes of playing, I wanted to remove ads, so I thought I could pay an easy $.99 and resume unlimited play. However, because the advertiser blood money wasn’t enough for these devs, I would be forced to pay a comparatively ridiculous $3.99 just to play the game without being bothered by ads every 2 games. The game devs must either lessen ad frequency or lower the cost of removal, then I could wholeheartedly recommend this game.
Okay game but definitely cheats you out of rewards
This game is decent but it has glitched out a lot. Several times it took my fish bag up randomly (when I was nowhere near the top) before it was full. You also have to deal with ads after every single game, which wouldn't be so bad because you can click to watch an add to double your rewards but that button is very often conveniently disabled so instead of watching an ad for double the rewards you just have to watch the ads. I've also noticed that there is a direct correlation between this glitch increasing in frequency and the higher level/profit I get. It is a free game so do what you want but don't buy anything it is trying to sell you in-game. It also has glitched out a couple of times which ended in me not getting the rewards or making me watch multiple ads instead of one. TLDR: it's free so try it if you want but it's definitely trying to manipulate you to watch as many ads as possible while cheating you out of rewards it's promised in return for watching them. It also only puts the highest reviews on top and doesn't make the negative reviews easily available.
I absolutely LOVE this game! probably my most addicting game i have at the moment. i love how u can get so many different fish and the deeper u go the more money they’re worth!! i must admit once i start playing, it’s very hard to stop!! the only problem that makes me very frustrated when trying to enjoy the game is the ads. Now, i know what your thinking. all free games have ads so they can earn some money some how, but this is different. i’ve never had a game with so many ads. there is literally an ad after EVERY single round u do. and the worst part is that the rounds are very short so u have to wait 30 seconds in between rounds to watch a 30 second ad. it’s very annoying and i often have to take a very large break while playing because it’s just so freaking annoying. so, i would recommend this game because it is fun but if u are a very impatient person (like me) than u might not enjoy it as much. so just a small recommendation, calm down with the ads!!!!!! 😩❤️
This is a great game! I’ve spent so many hours playing this game and managed to reach 870M depth. However, there’s a small glitch that I found recently. Once all of your fish are out of the water and the game starts counting the fish for money, swipe down on the top of your screen to reveal your notifications, and then swipe back up. It’ll say “Money earned: (your money amount)” and click claim. The fish will still be counting for money in the background. Now, if you wait a bit, there will be another “Money earned: (your money amount” screen, but this time, it’s usually about 50% higher than the other “Money earned” screen (in my experience). This makes it very easy to farm money very fast. If this is intentional, leave this in the game. If it isn’t, you may want to patch this so no player can get roughly 2.5x more money than they’re supposed to in the round. Other than this glitch, I love the game!
Ok I am only giving this game a 1 star rating simply because every time I try to play it I get to fish one time then this ad for a Jurassic Park game pops up, it has a count down from 5 in the upper left hand corner then after the count down an X shows up, and when I touch the X it goes to another ad of some sort and asks me if I want to cancel or open the app, I touch the cancel option then touch the word Go Fish at the top left hand corner if the screen then it just goes right back to the Jurassic Park game option, no matter how many times I touch that X the same thing happens and I am never sent back to my finagling game!!!i exit the go fish game app and have to stay exited for several hours before the actual game comes on instead if that Jurassic Park game Ad!! I have even deleted the game and reinstalled it, I did get a few different ads once and each of them worked like they are suppose to and ?&took me right back to my game when the X showed up after the ad finished counting down. There is just a problem with the Jurassic Park game ad....please fix this problem so I can play the game and am able to give it a more deserving star 3! Qrating!!!!!!! Thank You!!!
I am always playing this game and I love it, but I have a couple suggestions. First off, I get that adds are a way to make money but every single time I fish, after I have to watch and add and it’s never failed it has been every time. So I was thinking maybe y’all could make an add pop up maybe like every time I get a new fish or every 2 or 3 times I fish. Second, I have been playing this game for a while now and I have gotten almost all of the fish and I just think maybe you guys could add some more fish. This is what I had in mind. Maybe you could add a couple new types of sharks and maybe a stingray and once you get really deep you could add like a blob fish or a sea snake. There are a lot of other fish! I just think it would help you guys keep your players longer because there are more fish which means that it will take longer to get all of the fish and therefore, the players will stay longer. Anyways, great game! And I would love if you guys would take my suggestions into thought!✌🏼
before i say what i entitled this to be about, i do want to say this is a very fun game, good mechanics, very addicting and good to play when youre bored and sitting around the house. ok, so lets address the elephant in the room- the ads. there are so many ads i just get sick of them. a lot of games can offer to double rewards and stuff like that and sometimes ill do it if i want more coins, points, etc, but if i say i dont want to watch an ad, I DONT WANT TO WATCH AN AD. seriously, it happens every time! EVERY TIME!! i know a lot of other popular reviews cover this same topic, and i could deal with it up till this point, and i had to write this. in my opinion, $3.99 is WAY too much to get rid of these things. no one wants them there unless they say they want to watch one for extra rewards!! again, i do love this game and i wish i could give it 5 stars but i cant because of the ads! youre probably sick of hearing this but you need to just make them a lot less frequent, at the least. i would still recommend the game though
I saw this game in an ads and wow it wasn’t annoying! So I got it and it’s gotta be one of my favorite mobile games of all time. The ads, I think are handled very well I’m don’t feel over welded with ads and they are placed in way that is fair. This game does go by really fast by just leaving the app closed and then caning beck you can get a ton of money. I do wish that after you get all the trophies you could get more and find new fish but I’m sure that will come in an update soon. I also feel that you should be able to buy different boats with in-game currency to march your skin but like the last one I’m sue it will be added in The near future. I would recommend this game anyone and everyone I already have for all of my friends but I only have 2 so it’s doesn’t make a difference :(
This was a fun and addictive game at first. However, I understand that all games have ads, but the amount in this game is absolutely ridiculous!My first day playing this games I spent more time watching ads than I did playing the game. I decided to pay to have the ads removed. Once the ads were removed I enjoyed playing so much more. I was very disappointed by the fact that the first two days playing the first fishing spot I collected all the fish and bonus fish, maxed out on the amount of fish you can catch on the hook and maxed out on the depth you can fish. By the 3rd and 4th day I completed everything in the next fishing spot. After paying $3.99 to remove the ads, I thought that there would be more fishing spots or more fish added to the list to catch. Also, there is a terrible glitch in the game. The game was always locking up and throwing me out and I would loose the fish and money I had just earned. Between the glitches, ads, spending money and the short goal of the game, I am completely disappointed!
This game is way too easy to finish and when u max out everything and catch every fish in the game there is literally nothing to do. Plus this game is backwards. Usually games like this require you to play so you can make more money, but in this game you make very little money. Instead you make all of your money while offline so all you have to do is go on to the game, collect your money, upgrade your stuff and go back offline. You literally make billions of dollars offline but while online the max I make now is only $13 mil. Like why would I want to play this when I make hundreds of millions of dollars every minute while offline. Ya this game is fun in the beginning but it’s really just pointless and a waste of time in the end. It took me like a week to complete and each day I would only have to log on for a minute every couple of hours and I had billions of dollars to spend on the upgrades. Overall this game is too short and WAY TO EASY TO PLAY. (You don’t even play really, just log on and off)!!!
This game is very simple but very charming and addicting! Safe to say that it’s an amazing game! There was one issue with it though. Aside from the crazy ads that we can live with there was one very weird glitch that happened to me. I had just closed the game and later when I went to play it again, the depth cost had shot way up but the amount of fish I could catch and the amount of money I got for each minute offline were really low. And I know that I kept my three items very even so it was very odd to see this. But I figured that I would just get used to it and keep playing. A very peculiar thing happened though. It refused to let me play the game, like the screen was frozen, even thought it wasn’t. I eventually had to delete and re-download the game. I hope you can look into that issue and see if you can fix it so it doesn’t happen again? Again, very addictive and amazing game, but that one glitch was very annoying.
Do you have a ad limit?!? Every time I always go fishing and stop fishing there’s always ads! And I hate seeing ads in good games I just hate it but I’m sorry but it has to be a 1 star because when you start to fish you can’t get fishes and there’s like no updates just the same thing over and over the lag is ultra high you can’t level up that’s all for a 1 star.. if your reading this wait until the end there’s a note waiting) now basically I’ve never seen a rainbow fish. Or it’s your imagination too find one but there is no such thing as a rainbow fish. I’ve never seen a game so dumb. (No offense) it just makes no sense. It’s a great game, it really is. It’s good for filling time when I have nothing else to do, and it’s fun to upgrade and see what sea creature I’m going to catch. The only problem I have are the ads. One every once in a while would be fine, but every time I real in my catch, an ad pops up that I can’t close out of. Most apps at least give you an option to spend up the add after about 5 seconds, but not this one. If I wanted to watch an ad every time I teamed in a fish, I would tap the option to watch an add for double money. My only other problem is how easy it is to finish the game within a week of occasional playing. I personally wish you could go deeper than the exceeded limit, and have more than just 50 finish in your net. It would make the game last significantly longer before people finish it and delete it. Maybe there could be some extinct sea creatures to add to the deeper parts, or maybe some of myth?
So, let me start out by saying that the game is fun. Great time waster and easy to get started. It has ads that constantly pop up, but what game doesn’t have those these days? My issue is after you “buy” the game for $3.99 which is supposed to get rid of ads. It definitely gets rid of the ones that pop up and interrupt gameplay, but you still get ads on the boat screen where you upgrade you net size and stuff. Instead of auto-playing, they just hang out in the top left corner. Also, once you progress far enough in the game, the prices to upgrade net size or to go deeper ramps WAY up, but the developers still give you then chance to watch an ad to upgrade those without spending in-game money. It would basically be impossible to upgrade the depth past 500m without watching ads since it’s costs about $13,000,000 to upgrade past there. I just wish my $3.99 felt more worth it rather than them taking my money and basically forcing me to watch ads that they make money off of me watching.
I found this game very enjoyable. Didn’t buy VIP, no need. Wasn’t playing with any internet connection, which meant no ads — couldn’t double rewards from fishing or get forced ads. I found the game simple but very fun, and was looking forward to finding all the fish in the book. However, this last week’s update made it so that you need internet connection to play. Except… you don’t. Update claimed to be “bug fixes and improvements” but only made the game worse. It’ll open and you can see all the menus but it won’t let you actually fish without enabling internet connection and making you watch an ad every game. Thought this game was actually good. Quickly deleted it with the new “improvements” just to make players watch endless ads or buy the ridiculously expensive *weekly* VIP subscription. Very disappointed by this recent development. Would have been a 5 star review last week.
I really love this game and when I first started to play it I was like “Okay, I’ll probably loose interest in it in a week or so.” It has been about three months since I downloaded it. Honestly, it’s one of the most addictive games I’ve every played. My only problem; ads. I can’t stand them. Every single time I finish fishing, BOOM! AD! I realize that you want to make money (and lots of it) but it would keep more players if they didn’t get annoyed by ads all the time. Maybe add in a buy coins section for players low on money, or special upgrades for players willing to spend real money. If you reduce the amount of ads to at least one ad every five fishing trips. If you do this, I can almost assure you that your game will be five stars, will attract many more players, and make tons more money. I first saw this game in an add on another app and thought “Why not try it out?” I’m glad I did! Thai game is very addicting and interesting with the goals set to go deeper and get the best fish! The graphics are wonderful and it is never buggy at all and contrary to many other reviews, I don’t get many ads which I appreciate because of how many games have ads every fifteen milliseconds. The only reason I’m giving this game a four stars (I would give it four and a half but that’s not an a option) is because after you catch all the fish in the trophy room, nothing else happens. Because this is a relatively easy game, I thought there would be more rounds or special fish to catch, or something! There’s no more rounds and it diminishes interest at that point because if there’s no more levels- why play? Other than that, I love this game and I’m absolutely addicted and I happy I played it! Love this game love the concept and the mechanics but good god PLEASE stop with the Ads I understand you just not have ads and I’m completely fine with that and would rather endure them than pay and I like how you can watch an ad for deeper depth or a bigger net OR even to double or triple your earning but when they come up EVERYTIME your done fishing an ad comes up is too much now I’ve just recently run into the problem that if it’s a certain add (the rise balloon game) I can’t even exit out of it using the x button at the top it will just continuously take me to a website where I can learn more about the game and it’s super annoying when I get that ad to triple my earnings but I have to exit and I don’t even know if I STILL getting the triple earnings. It completely ruins my fun over all becuase I am a very short tempered person if you are not you may enjoy this more than me and I recommend it but I know for a fact everyone doesn’t want to see an ad RIGHT after you go fishing
So, I love this game. It’s sooo addictive. So much so, that I’ve played it to completion. I’ve got the max on everything, to the point where the numbers won’t go up on the offline earnings, and the depth, and the number of fish you can catch at a time. Is there going to be any more game? Are you guys gonna add any more fish? I would love to play through it more, but with my amount of money getting higher and higher, and nothing to spend it on, and not getting to see more fish, it’s getting boring and repetitive. I would love to see more! The sprites from the fish are all so cute and I think adding more fish and sea creatures would be amazing. Like a giant whale or something, or a giant squid. There’s endless possibilities, and I think adding more would really make this game even better then it already is!
I paid to remove the adds right from the get go because I wanted to be able to enjoy the game and relax but very soon into the game watching adds is the only real way to level up at all. The money you make from the fish would take you weeks to actually level up just one feature. Along with that, another thing I find that could use improvement is new fish more often. So I usually wait until it offers me an add to level up my depth but once I do, basically nothing changes. The game recycles fish you have previously discovered for the most part and when you do find a new addition you see like one of two. Basically when you level up in depth which is, as I mentioned, ridiculously impossible unless you watch adds, you can’t really even tell you’ve leveled up and it’s very disappointing. Along with this, adding in a depth gauge would be nice so you could decide which types of fish you were in the mood to fish for. Also, I wish that you wouldn’t automatically max your net out at 50 fish. If the fish gave enough money to level up realistically and if there were new fish to discover more often along with a depth option and more room in the net, I’d be 100% satisfied overall with the app because I think it’s really fun but just needs these minor improvements.
The ads were so annoying that I actually purchased the ad free version. This is the ONLY have I have ever paid for in my many, many years of having an iPhone. It’s fun and addictive, but I really wish they kept track of high scores. I mentally keep track of my high score so I have a goal to beat, which keeps me playing. I love the graphics and the design is great, but it is very hard to see how much fish are worth while catching them, and unfortunately the “trophy room” does not indicate how much each is worth. In the game you earn money for fish, and you can buy depth and a bigger net with the money. However, the $ is so inflated that it easily becomes impossible to pay for them. The only option is to watch an ad. Even though I paid for no ads?? It'd be nice if the depth and net increased the higher your high score is. If the game incorporated those features, it’d be a 5-Star game easily!
I honestly kept seeing ads for this game and didn’t think I’d enjoy it, but then I decided to try it because I was bored one day and found it to be really fun. It didn’t take me too long to get every single fish (regular and special) and now I don’t know what I should do since there aren’t any more fish to collect for the trophy room. Could you please add more fish so that there’s more to be discovered? Another thing I’d like to add it that the ads pop up way too often. I like that we can watch adds to get more fish or go deeper or increase offline earnings, but almost every time I finished a round an ad would pop up. It gets very annoying when I’m trying to collect the money I earned and can’t because an ad pops up. Please adjust this and then add more fish into the game.
It took me about 3-4 days to completely beat the game. I did not spend a dime. I don’t mind the advertisements because you can X out of 90% of them early. 10% of those advertisements give you special bonuses that you would otherwise have to pay for. Yes, there is a max on everything. I played until I obtained all types of fish and then maxed everything out- depth, number of catches, and off line time bonus. It was a good time consuming game that takes very little effort. I would recommend it if your a tap-tap kind of game person. But once you beat it, you beat it and there’s nothing else to do. Eventually, because of the offline bonus that you can create, I made way more money not playing than I did actually playing. Crazy, right? Have fun playing and then when you’re done find a different game.
This is a game i saw in an ad in another game. It looked really cool so i got it. Within seconds of starting the game i had to watch multiple ads to do anything. Annoying but lets move on. So now i go to catch some fish. The line comes up and it asks “do you want to claim or watch an ad to double it” so i hit claim as im already annoyed about the ads from before. WHAT! I hit claim and another ad pops up and i dont even get doubled. I think maybe its a glitch or something so i try again. Wouldn't ya know it ads again. So within 2-3 minutes of playing you have officially made it so i wont play your game. This ad stuff has got to be a side thing, not how your app functions. I tend to pay for the ad removal on games if they are a good game. But the way you implemented ads put me off so badly i refuse to give you any money. Remove the adds or change how they work. For example make it so you can choose to watch ads to boost your catches by a certain amount. Do like ad 1 adds .2, ad 2 adds .2 =1.4 total. Be creative.
After playing this game for about five minutes you will realize that it is basically unplayable without removing adds. This comes at the steep price of $3.99. If that doesn’t scare you off (as it didn’t scare me off), let me warn you about something that comes a few days into playing the game. The value of fishing does not nearly amount to the cost of upgrades. Rather, you only have two options to advance your upgrades – fish until it gives you the option to watch a video for a free upgrade (even though you have literally paid $3.99 already to not have to watch videos) OR upgrade your off-line income. The latter seems reasonable but at the end of it you don’t actually end up playing the game. You check back to get your $1B, upgrade your offline income once or twice and then come back later and repeat. Unless you’re looking for one of those passive games, this is not the game for you. Completely a money grab. Steer clear and find a better use of your $3.99 and time.
Honestly, i love the game. It’s fun, entertaining, and honestly quite addicting. When i first downloaded the game, i thought i’d be uninstalling in within hours, but i kept it, and continued playing and next thing you know, i was thoroughly enjoying the game. My only complaint is the ads.. They are almost a dealbreaker for the game. I understand the purpose of ads, but I’ve played other games in the app store that do not have nearly as many pop up ads. The ads also aren’t simple pop up and close ads, they’re interactive ads that last 30+ seconds, and really takes you out of the entire gaming experience. There is an offer to pay $2.99 to have the ad free experience, but in my honest opinion; the game isn’t worth $2.99. I really hope they ease the ads just a bit! If not, I’ll unfortunately be uninstalling!
I think you should add more stuff like new hooks characters boats I’m tired of having to be an old man all the time I really love the game but please I think me and some others would like more characters and please get rid of some of the ads I get ads ALL THE TIME!!!! I’m not trying to be a hater but I get an ad before and after fishing any ways please just think into getting varieties of characters boats maybe even power ups like when you’re fishing you can pick up some power ups for like when you buy more storage in your net you can use a power up so say you’re able to catch 10 fish with your net well if you use your power up and buy more storage in your net instead of getting 11 more storage you get 13 more storage anyways thank you for taking time out of your Dayton read my comment 🙃
This game is great and gives me a lot relaxation, and it is a good game to play when you are bored and have nothing to do. I recommend getting this game if you have a love for fishing, simulators, and games that need well spent time, the only downfall i happen to have on this game is the amount of ads, there are many ads in this game that pop up after every minute or half because of that reason, I do not play this game much if you see this developer, please minimize the amount of ads by adding less, something that will help with your game is if you add less ads because more people will want to play it which will result in more income, other than that I recommend this game to people who like a fishing simulator game that requires well spent time the only issue I’m having is the amount of ads thank you for reading my review
I understand why this game is high ranked on free downloads. They developers are spending a lot of money on advertising it as a fun casual game. After downloading though, I quickly noticed you spend more time watching ads than playing the game. If I wanted to watch commercials I’d just turn on my tv. The ability to watch an ad to double or triple your cast earnings is great but making them watch an ad even if they didn’t want to double (and not giving them the double) is just wrong. It feels like every 10 second cast is followed by a 15 second ad. There is a tiny ad section at the bottom and the occasional opportunity to buy an upgrade by watching an ad, which I think is great but the involuntary ads popping up every 10 seconds is ridiculous! I’m deleting the app though it is fun between ads. It does not deserve the ratings it is getting. I know you have to make money on the game but this is just ridiculous.
I’ll start off with saying this is a fun game for a while I really enjoyed t for the time I spent on it. Though there are a few problems I’d like to point out. The ads are overwhelming and it gets kinda annoying after awhile jeez. I usually would end up just turning my wifi and data off but still pretty annoying. Also sometimes it wouldn’t let me collect money from my fishing?? Next, the balance was a bit off with the money collecting. I finished this game pretty quickly because of the offline currency thing. The overwhelming amount of money you get is so easy to use for the other stuff that it hardly makes it a challenge. I’d also suggest maybe some extra challenges like “get as far as you can towards the top without collecting” or something just to ad on to it. Anyway these are only my opinions. It was a fun game for awhile ^^
this is a great game! it has lots of cool aspects to it and can be used for many purposes(like distracting cousins aha) but there is just one thing... i need some tacos. i mean for real. tacos are like so amazing, and i need some taco action. also this game reminds me of club penguin, which I’m pretty sure had tacos. so please just add some tacos. you could have grand tacos which will give you like $100,000,000,000 (in the game) and the mega tacos that could give you 1,000,000! and even have baby tacos which give you $1,000! just a great idea to get more people playing the game! also tacos are disgusting, but they are cute, and look very nice for advertising. also i love tacos. they are very good, and i recommend eating them. i need one. i don’t like them though. hey, gimme a taco! tacos are gross. and on another note, the game should also stop having so many adds. i know you need to make your money somehow, but that doesn’t mean that you should be adding so many into the game! i would love to see more games from your company!
I like the game in general. I’m coming back to it after a super long time away, but when I first got it years ago, I paid for no ads. I see a lot of reviews about the amount of ads, but just so y’all know, they do it that at on purpose. If you like the game enough you’ll either sit through them or pay for no ads. I’m finding this sort of thing is pretty common in free apps. I will say, it is a little irritating that I have to sit through the entire fish count every time when you pull hook up. Having an option to close bar and just see how much money you made would be really great. Once you start getting 50+ fish on your line it starts to take an annoyingly long time and there doesn’t really seem to be a reason for it beyond aesthetics.
So, I started this game about a couple weeks ago. I downloaded it, and though the ads were distracting, it was still fun! I enjoyed fishing and discovering new fish. The whale was especially a fun one. But, now I’ve discovered all the fish and there’s nothing left to do but earn coins. But what’s the point of earning coins if I have no new fish to look forward to? You earn money really fast, and that’s cool, but why would I want to go deeper if there’s no new fish to discover? The avatars are cute, but I’m not really in the game for those. Some new fish would be really great. Without getting new fish, the game is kind of boring. Please consider updating with new levels, because I really don’t want to uninstall this game, but if I’m not playing anymore, what’s the point? I’m not going to play a boring game.
I give this game three stars. Reason #1 is because there are too many ads, now I know this may or may not be because The game is free But, overall we shouldn’t have to pay to take away the ads, there’s just too many. Reason #2 what do you do when you finish the game??? I got all 3 of them maxed. I collected all the fish, and each special finish. What do I do know?? I was really hoping that there’s going to be a different place to fish, or like more fish to fish for. But there isn’t. At one time there was but it only lasted like a few weeks before it went away. I don’t know if this is a glitch or something but it was there. This game is a really good game that’s why I am really hoping that there is like an update or something to where we have a different place to fish because I don’t want to delete game but I feel like if nothing changes I might have to.
Core gameplay is cute and fun. Game has no depth (pun intended). The different fish have no description other than name, there is no customization, and no real strategy of any kind. This would be forgiveable since mobile games don’t usually offer depth but the gameplay is destroyed by ads. Even paying out of normal ads, you can still choose to watch an ad to double or triple the value of your catch and sometimes earn a free upgrade. The latter is extremely problematic. In order to get you to watch the ads, the time it takes to watch an ad is more efficient than playing the game. This results in a “game” that makes normal gameplay and progression impossible by using ads as an easy out until that’s the only way you can make any meaningful progress. This game will never be good without an overhaul, but it’s already made its money so I guess we’ll all move on.
I have been playing this game for a bit and it has been addicting. The ads are very much overkill as others have mentioned but there is more that I think should be changed. As you play the game, you see that the more you invest in offline earnings, the better it is if you are trying to go deeper with your fishing pole. The problem is that waiting offline is more efficient than playing the actual game. Because of this, you finish the game within about two weeks and you run out of new fish to get, which is a problem because it’s one of the driving factors of the game getting new fish. So now you’re making next to nothing compared to the costs of the upgrades every time you fish and you only play so much before you get annoyed with the ads and close out of the game.
So I just “beat” the game, as in I collected all the fish. Can’t say it was worth it, or even fun along the way. They have a thing you can buy that’s almost $8. If you are going to buy this thing, i genuinely hate you. It took two months to beat this thing by just buying the “idle” money upgrade. This game is trash and you might as well take $8 and light it on fire, because that would more entertaining than this stupid game. However, this isn’t the only game that’s bad. If you see KWALEE show up before your game starts, just exit the game and delete the app, this whole company wants your money. I get that there has to be adds and stuff because it’s free but all their games are trash and they constantly bombard you with ads so that you you pay them to stop seeing them. All in all, the game is mediocre AT BEST, and just feels like the company as a whole doesn’t care about you and just wants your money. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
Your Go Fish game is so cool but, I hate that there is always an ad that pops up when your done fishing. It's super annoying with the ads keep popping up! I hope someday I get a iTunes card and buy getting rid of the ads. I know you guys just updated your game yesterday, but you guys should of got rid of those ads popping up! you guys can keep the ads like to get the net size to catch more fish and the fishing rod longer. But, get rid of the stupid ads that keep popping up when you are done fishing!
