Best game ever
So honestly been playing the game since it first released. It is by far one of the most fun and addicting games I’ve played in a while. The graphics are amazing, the storyline is so captivating that it keeps you on your toes wanting to see what happens next. The side quests are funny. The events that the developers have released are intense with suspense of what will happen next. Stories that connect every NIKKE without fully revealing the story. The character design is on peak and the available costumes are amazing. Being able to interact with the NIKKEs is very intriguing and definitely seeing their individual story as you progress your intimacy level is fun also. I would recommend to the developers to add Marians OG costume as an option hopefully in the future. I honestly cannot wait for this upcoming year. The winter event is captivating as it is and I honestly recommend this game to anyone who wants to experience the fun and dynamic gameplay. Not only beautiful NIKKEs to be able to collect and take command in the field but also the amazing graphics, the storyline which just captivates you from the very beginning and even customizable main menu with different in-game music and backgrounds just gives the player more control. Truly an amazing game. And to top it off it is also available to play on laptops! (Not Macs unfortunately) I do own a Mac so I hope the developers are able to make it available there too!

Favorite Game
Dear Level Infinite/Shift Up, or any developer seeing this. This has been my favorite game to play over the past year and it has amazed me how much this game has come since. I still remember my first day playing and how heartbreaking it was watching Marian die. I’ve only ever had one issue with this game, and that’s my gacha luck, I almost never get legendaries and missed out on A2 from the NieR crossover because it took 50 draws just to get 2B. I’ve also have only gotten Modernia once out of 2,600 draws, with over 100 on her banners total. My commander name is SHARKY and have been here since day 1. I never even thought of getting the game until my mind switched one day and was like why not pre-order it since this was when it was advertised everywhere before release. Even though I’m only on chapter 20, or so just about to start it, I still love how the main story is revolved around Marian/Modernia since the events of Marian drove the commander to defend Nikkes. It would be fun to see on either the 1.5 year anniversary or 2 year anniversary, another costume poll with “Marian” as the costume for “Modernia.” I’ve also have been collecting relics in real life to represent Marian since she is my favorite character in the game even though she was only alive for 2 chapters. Keep up the good work development team, and I can’t wait to see how the game turns out in the future! 😊

Okay, what!?
I don’t usually write reviews but I figured this game deserves it. At first I wasn’t really interested in this game as it didn’t look like it would appeal to me, I don’t think I need to explain why. However after getting ad after ad about the game I figured I’d give it a shot. At first I really didn’t enjoy it, the combat is fun and unique, but the character design just really isn’t my thing. BUT after a couple of chapter the game REALLY takes off, some of these boss fights are absolutely insane, and the MUSIC the music is TOP NOTCH. There’s this one level where you’ve been tracking through the snow for hours to find this big snow base, BUT THEN the snow base turns into an enormous enemy, and this freaking sick boss music starts playing to the rhythm of the phase of the boss. Honestly when this game wants to go hard, it goes hard. I just wish it didn’t constantly throw scantly dressed women in your face, and offered characters that can appeal to a wider variety of players. If this game did that, I feel like it would completely destroy the top charts. Nonetheless, so far this game has created some of the most memorable moments in mobile games for me, and I’m completely shocked that the combat is as smooth and fun as it is. Would highly recommend, even if I’m not a fan of the characters. Though, the enemy character design is top notch.

I’m gonna be completely fair
This is only my opinion but I myself like the game a lot it’s fun addictive and the co-op event it’s very fun but…. There are things that I like to consider like a really want to try to spend a little bit of money on some stuff but since I’m still new to the game I rather wait and learn on what’s worth spending setting that a side my issue are as follows: constantly crashing and I’m not saying 1 or 2 times I rather happens A LOT which is really frustrating it doesn’t matter what you are doing it will crash and it tends to be every 30 minutes or every time you do 2 different things idk how to explain really but it’s constantly crashing, the power wall aka the grind I’m having a tuff time to get pass certain levels and while yes it’s still possible you get a damage de buff which it’s noticeable when you are in between 500 to 200 off the required damage, look don’t get me wrong the game is fun and all but if not fix properly like the crashing thing at least you are gonna lose most of your player base and it happens you know now days with triple A games so I hope in a near future it gets patch and valance so we can properly enjoy the story which is what attracted me the most but that’s only my opinion and only what I think should get fix…

Constant disconnects led to wiped account!
I was constantly getting disconnected from the game with multiple different errors after completing a few campaign battles. But the last error said unexpected failure and now when I log in I am starting over from the beginning tutorial… even though I linked my account and it shows my account logged into the right region. Update 2/1/23. Game is definitely more playable so updated starts from 1 to 3. However, I am still getting disconnected at least twice a day when completing dailies, across all of the devices I play on. Once a week or so I am also getting the failed to sync battle data error. Also, not sure why even when I check the box to not display the notice when logging in the rest of the day, it still pops up every time… The idle time of 12 hours max for resources in the outpost defense also doesn’t help the situation, if I log in once a day I’m missing out on half a day or more of resources because the outpost is full… With these issues and the fact that I am starting to hit the wall between 140 and 160 progress has slowed immensely. I will start logging in less which usually leads to a steady decline in satisfaction in the game until I stop playing completely. I imagine many other players have/ are in the middle of/ or quickly approaching the same point in the game. Hopefully the developers change up something, otherwise I see the game loosing traction quickly.

Had Potential
Honestly when the game first launched, it seems there were a lot of potentials for this game to be big. Upon launch of game, there were quite a lot of bugs, but nevertheless, the character designs, story, and game play was decent enough to keep me playing, and I was patient enough in hope that they will solve the bugs soon. A big update finally comes after a month, but it seems like for every bug they fix, they add 10 more. At first, it felt the developers were listening to the player base and taking the feedback into consideration, but as time goes on it felt less so. Constant bugs, poor game balancing, some player’s account getting banner for no reason, hard to get an actual response from developers, etc, and honestly feels like we are getting ignored. Furthermore, in game rewards are terrible after you reach a certain point. I know it’s a gacha game but the in-game purchases are sometimes outrageous ($20 for a single character outfit or overpriced battle pass) and drop rate seems to be rigged on some of the pulls. There’s also the recent controversy of censorship in game, and obviously didn’t went too well in the community. If you look at who the publisher is (Tencent), it’s not a big surprise that all these issues exists. I wanted to like this game, and originally wanted to give it 5 stars, but at the rate it is going, I’m not expecting things to get much better soon.

Game has improved
At first the game was not in a very good state with a massive power spike requirement to play the campaign as well as the whole censorship controversy with characters designs. After some time has passed the Devs have slowly been improving the game and bringing changes such as lowering the required power to play missions and improvements to game systems as well as some pretty banger in game events. Also releasing new characters with some great designs and some character with designs that go with a bit what they originally promised and have a good amount of fan service. There was even generous rewards for players during the anniversary event as well as a buff to some characters and constant surveys the devs put out in order to get player feedback (in which player feedback is actually taken into account for the game’s improvement). Nikke still needs a couple of improvement for example there is no spacing between in game events so it kinda feels fast paced and some new characters gets released with subpar kits. Overall that’s about all I can say. Be warned this game is still with Level infinite/Tencent and could possibly have control over some decisions so any bad decisions made for the game look towards them not Shift Up.

Been playing since launch.
Nikke is when you combine Time Crisis, Terminators, and Gacha. It definitely rewards you more than most Gacha’s too for dailies and weeklies honestly, but there is genuinely a lot to do when you are farther in. It is definitely a “fan service” game, but the story, lore, characters, and game play are all worth it themselves. If you aren’t the type for repetitive “dailies” and stuff, it’s probably not meant for you for the long run, but the beginning is just so easy and fun to experience with multiple different bosses, you just gotta at least try it to experience it. Though being new means you won’t be strong enough to do the new event all the way through every 2-4 weeks. The developers really listen to the community too. We have votes for concept art of skins to release new designs, they give out surveys quite often enough to listen to willing participants to fill it out, and they release video online with similar “VTuber” models for the voice actors to announce fun animated events online while giving out free paid rewards. The game is extremely fun if your willing to dedicate yourself to this gacha and the characters all have their fun quirks and personalities that make them feel really original.

Perfect way to subvert expectations and Launch a F2P game right
I will say, the marketing of this game is PERFECT for subverting expectations. In my honest opinion I thought this would be a game where it’s all comedy and hard strange lore. However passing the intro, it felt like if Azur Lane was more story streamlined as well as taking Girls FrontLines gritty atmosphere, then making them have a child, NIKKE is that exact child! There are however some slice of life things that can be improved (Ex. The jukebox in the office not being changed even if u want it to be changed, the mission indicator box being a bit too small Imo, and the ability to mass spam the girls on the regular screen out of the Outpost and their voice being played infinitely if you tap on them a lot, it would also be kinda cool if like Azur lane where if you tap on a certain part of your secretary’s character they react differently.) but overall, this is the perfect way to launch a F2P Game and keeping the paid content only to cosmetics is key as well as interestingly making the grinding portion of the game the main focus to get new characters as well as stock up on future events. Imo 5/5 and there is limitless potential for this to have more side stories and events later down the line

Actually really good
Despite the very clearly sexualized characters this games story is not only good, but really interesting and deep. Every character has their own unique and interesting backstory that you can learn about and even story’s that you can create with them. The gameplay is not only challenging but actually makes you tactically think and makes you try out new nikkes at almost every turn so you never feel like you wasted any of your nikkes. The story and lore of this game is extremely good and even though I'm barely done with the story I cannot praise this game enough for all of its deeply interesting and unique story aspects. Great way to spend time if you enjoy great gameplay and even better storylines. Honestly deserves it’s own anime. 10/10 top pick for anyone. And to the reviews saying anything abt the currencies or in app purchases, those are all optional you don’t have to buy them and they really don’t affect anything. In my opinion a few in game purchases shouldn’t affect the overall quality of a game since they are completely cosmetic or unneeded and shouldn’t be considered when writing a review for something, especially considering every other good aspect of this game.

Well done and smooth
I play a few games regularly and an admittedly F2P player. I wasn’t looking for a shooter but decided to give this one a chance. I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised at how smooth and well done this game is. There is a lot to the game play and the ability to jump into the middle of the fight or let the game do its thing is extremely intuitive. I like games that allow me as a F2P player to get the resources needed to advance as far as the P2P players and I fully accept that it will take me longer to do so and I might miss out on a few extra “draws” on a particular character. I am very happy with the pace of the game also, and never really felt stuck or held back by a pay wall. As for the characters of the game I am also pleasantly surprised at their variety of shapes and personalities and the game company does a good job of integrating those personalities into the storyline. The voice acting is well done also and if you’ve spent anytime playing games you will recognize the voice actors and know your getting quality acting from them. All in all a very well done and respectable effort put forward. Definitely a game worth considering.

Huge Potential But Needs Serious Balancing
Like I said, this game is awesome! Through its artwork and action, the game is phenomenal! The story is fantastic and there is already a lot of content provided in the game since it’s release. I would rate it 10 stars just from that. However, the game needs to be balanced hardcore. I understand that the game leans towards afk, just get rewards after some time being gone. But in that case, it’s not too friendly towards f2play and as of now, the game is pretty heavily geared towards p2play. As a paid player myself, I’ve spent at least 400 already and is the reason I’m writing this review. I figured if I pay I may keep up with top ranked players, but oh no, I am way wrong. Those players would have to be spending at least over 1000 often to get multiple of the best units. I know it’s a risk, but heck, with the rates, luck doesn’t cut it. As of the money I spent, there needs to be some sort of reward system in place so when people like me drop a bunch of money but don’t get lucky, there can still be rewards that will make up for it. So for all you readers, don’t drop a single penny on the game until it’s more balanced out or else you’ll regret it. Other than my rant, keep up with the updates and try to make the game more balanced out in some way. It’s a fantastic game!

Great way to bring into the game & also make you feel like quitting
Chainsaw man really seemed to bring a lot of new players in. Great! We start to watch videos, tutorials, get into the community etc, we look up characters that are coming and wow we jump on the Nihillister hype train along with everyone else because of such an amazing design looks wise and I even say the best design in this game. But then they waste it by adding her to liberation system which is already an absolute time waste pay wall, makes absolute no sense for her to be in there lore wise. Her kit is good right now, but by the time you get her, there will be a ton of other units released that will be much better than this kit that will quickly become “mid”. Oh and to get dupes you’re gonna need even more of a long time to get any. The way they handle the 160 cap is terrible, the requirements to get her are terrible. 95% of the player base can’t even get her. No gacha game should ever have units be so inaccessible to get. I come from DBZ dokkan battle, and everything there can be grindy, tedious but it’s obtainable to get free premium LR’s in a single day using up just a few stones to refill your stamina to redo a simple fight over and over until you get enough medals to get the brand new shiny LR. I rather spend my gems trying to get her and also let her have a much stronger kit for the future than wait to see this character in 2026. What a horrible handling.

Has potential but is a broken and greedy mess
Can complain about the actual gameplay much - when they're working. I do enjoy Nikke, and I hope much of the gameplay issues and publisher drama gets resolved soon, but as for how it currently stands, Nikke is on the path to a quick death after milking whales the first month. There are so many flaws in the way this game performs (skill levels should be fixed by Dec 8th patch, but currently every character's special move is stuck at level 1 effectiveness), so many things wrong with the scaling of rewards, so many things wrong with how community servers are handling freedom of opinion. I actively recommend staying away from this game for now. Maybe it'll turn out better like how Destiny Child has after being freed from the original publisher, but this game's reputation is in freefall as of now. Update: Dec 8th update led to game breaking bugs, though have to credit the devs that they fixed the bugs they intended to fix.... But now a week later things have smoothened out and the game is now in a more playable state than in launch. There still are several bugged characters that require attention, but I think this game still has a chance of recovering from a terrible launch. Here's to hoping the massive launch earnings are put to good use.

Unrewarding Gameplay
Personally I really enjoy the setting and theme of Nikke. I want to know what happens in the story and looked forward to each story driven mission. However, unlike Destiny Child, you either need to invest an unrealistic (months on top of months of boring dailies) amount of time as a F2P player or invest an unrealistic amount of money; just to progress the campaign. Recruitment currency gains are terribly low unless you are buying them. Even if you do, this doesn’t guarantee success. Clear Data is a nice touch to see comps, however when using the same comp at a higher power level I was still running out of time or having Nikkes getting one-shot. Most of my Nikkes were the same power level individually, or higher. It doesn’t help that some of the raptures required to progress the stage would bug out (i assume) by hiding behind terrain and none of my Nikkes would fire, even manually. I would have to restart the stage. Ultimately, I don’t play games to be forced into a wall. I am looking to have a fun experience. This is not fun, to me. This is pay to have fun (this is also questionable). If the gameplay was the priority, the money would follow without feeling like a necessity. I will check back in a few months, i still feel like there is a lot of potential here.

Poorly managed game
Someone clearly spent a lot of time and creative energy developing the storyline and lore of this game, which is fantastic. Unfortunately they sold their creative energy to someone else who does a terrible job managing gacha games. Whether your F2P, a dolphin, or a whale, your time and money is better spent with another game. It takes over an hour to do your dailies. And 1/3 of that time is spent in one obnoxious module. There’s very little free rewards given and the good deals for spenders are few and far between. The gacha drop rates are fine but you need a lot of copies of SSRs from a constantly expanding pool to max out your team. And the game level caps you at level 160 if you haven’t been able to get 4 copies each of 5 different SSRs from that ever expanding pool. The in-game shops are also a joke. One of them has been accessible since the launch of the game but is for future content/currency that hasn’t even been released yet. So you can’t buy anything from it. Another only has items for sale that you don’t need if you have enough currency to buy something from that shop. A lot of players complain about the bugs in this game as well but I think the developers do actually work on fixing the bugs, they are just sloppy about not removing the bugs before they release content. It really is a fun game, but the poor management is super frustrating. Go find a different fun game.

You will get bored in a week
At first the game is super fun and intriguing, you get pulls, your team set up and then start the grind. I got lost in the story, the art is amazing, the progression of leveling becomes addictive. I’m currently about 1 week into the game and it has became a task more than fun to do in your downtime. I just log in a 3pm everyday do mindless tasks over and over (side note please make the simulation room more automated, no one wants to do the same 50 battles every day for skill books.) then I gather my little bit of resources maybe do 5-8 pulls and maybe progress 3-4 battles in the campaign. It’s just mind numbing and boring now. Also I’m hitting the dreaded core dust walls (that no one likes btw). I’ve done the math and I have to wait over 4 days to even get past my new level wall with core dust (without opening your wallet of course) also, on that topic I don’t mind giving devs of games their earned money, I’ve dropped easily $500 on this game in a week and would be willing to give more if I actually maintained interest. I saw that and decided to just play another game. If I log onto a game, I want to actually play and progress more than a centimeter a day and spend less than 30 minutes doing it. The game has massive potential, but it’s needs to be a bit more forgiving and actually allow their player to progress.

Really good game but crashes too often
I just started playing this game a week ago, and it really surprised me. It wasn’t like the other RPG games that I played before. The storyline is actually really intriguing and the characters themselves each have unique storylines as well. It’s overall, a really good game. The only problem that I have with this game is how much it crashes. It crashes like every 5 minutes now! Before the February 1 maintenance, it would crash every 15 to 20 minutes, but now, you can’t even fight 3 monsters without the game crashing. Not to mention, you could spend credits on a recruit, and when the game crashes, you would lose not only your credits, but also the NIKKE that was promised! I know that you game developers are trying to keep us interested in the game, and you don’t have time to read comments like these, but if you fixed this tiny bug, it could really help this game a lot, it could even give that tiny push to people to spend money on this game as well. Thank you for taking the time to read this review, and I really hope you fix the game crashing problem, it will really benefit you and the players as well. I don’t know if this matters but I’m on the NA server.

Game crashed? No refunds!
NIKKE is overall a pretty fun game with an actually intriguing story, superb art, great voice acting, and fairly consistent and generous rewards (at least early game). However, this is where the fun ends. the game will crash out pretty regularly, like every 30 minutes or so with the focus seeming to be on when you try to load into an area like the main campaign or the ark. This isn’t a significant issue on its own (just re-launch the game and you’ve got another free 30 minutes of gameplay :D), but since this problem occurs when loading things, it also has a habit of happening when you try to use the gacha mechanics! Whenever this happens and you reload the game, you’ll find that those hard earned gems of yours are gone, and you don’t get so much as a notification telling you what characters (if any) you managed to pull! It’s honestly baffling to me that this game doesn’t just roll you back to before the crash happened, but no, I guess all sales are final for this publisher (tencent, who would have guessed), even the ones you didn’t get to see happen. I foresee this game going the way of the dodo pretty quickly if these seemingly very common and well documented issues (look at other reviews) aren’t corrected soon, which is a shame because there is some really obvious effort put into this game.

Fantastic game that has few flaws
Not gonna lie, when a friend asked me to play this with he and his girlfriend I was skeptical at first. I thought it might be eye candy anime babes with shallow, vapid gameplay. Thankfully I was wrong. Gameplay is solid and rewards aren’t crazy hard to earn. But like anything else, it needs a few tweaks here and there. First, the Situation room being as important as it is, needs to be streamlined. It’s too important to ignore, but takes too much time during the day. There’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to put it on auto battle and fly through it, especially when your power level is more than 15k above the enemy. Also, it would be great to have more multiplayer events, especially those that can be done with alliance members. That’s it though. There’s not much to complain about. Thankfully the makers of the game are very involved with tweaks and fixes, so even if you spend money on the game (I sure do lol) you don’t feel that you’re throwing it away. And you don’t HAVE TO if you don’t want. There’s still plenty to earn and play. Great game. Download it and give it a shot.

More than just Fanservice
I think a lot of people initially came in for the fanservice and the “physics”, but ended up staying for the gameplay and story. I’m not typically a gacha game player but NIKKE has been the exception for me. So much so I’ve been logging in to do dailies and whatnot for over a year straight. I was there on launch. I think the music, lore, characters, and the story are underrated considering this is a mobile game. I hope one day there could be a spin-off or something that’s an actual game sort of like how Granblue has a fighting game and then Relink an action rpg coming out soon. NIKKE’s base lore and dystopian setting would make for a great standalone game if the creators/devs got the opportunity to do so. Also forgot to mention but I have not spent a dime on this. I was once tempted at the beginning but have stayed tried in true being a free-to-play player and have enjoyed my experience. This is the only mobile game I play too. There’s enough resources from dailies and weeklies if you’re smart about pulling and etc you can enjoy this as a waifu collecting game. Lastly the seasonal/new banner events are pretty good too. Would recommend.

Loved it!
I started playing the game just a few days ago and I’ve enjoyed it tremendously. I find the story engaging, the nikkes personalities to be dynamic and everything from gameplay to voiceovers and graphics to be top quality. I love to try out new games and this app is one of the most pleasureable experiences in a long time. I believe this is rather f2p friendly so far but it engages the audience to want to dish out more money because of the relatively obtainable ssr rates compared to mainstream games like genshin impact. I can’t wait to find out what endgame has in store. The only thing I feel is missing, however, is that I find it’s a bit hard to grind for some level up materials. It’s likely because I’m still early in the game but I’m mostly relying on the synchronizing device. My highest level character is around 60 but I’m still having a hard time leveling everyone else up enough to be around the same (lvl 51 is the average). My gear and skills is fine but obtaining tier 3 and above I would have to either do dailies such as interception or clear storylines. All in all I genuinely love this game and I hope more like it come out!

Shift Up’s Next Gacha, stifled by Tencent Ownership
Admittedly, you can feel that ShiftUp Corp isn’t the only corporation involved in the making of Nikke: Goddess of Victory. Compared to their previous title, “Destiny Child” you’re constantly reminded to purchase in-game currency and materials to pull at more Nikkes (warrior waifus) in this case. You constantly feel the strain of needing to upgrade your favorite units and at times it feels as if you’ll never have enough materials unless you spend money, **a trademark of Tencent Holdings Limited.** If it weren’t for the money-grubbing transactions popping up all the time after game completion and the fact that Tencent Holdings Limited was a part of Nikke, I’d gladly spend some money on the game. However, because of the greed of Tencent I will treat this as a ‘Free to Play’ game and instead just wait for materials to build up over time to the point that I won’t need to spend any money. I refuse to pay into anything Tencent is involved in and I hate that ShiftUp’s creativity and development are held back by them being partly owned by Tencent as they now hold stake of 20% of ShiftUp Corp.

Top Tier Game
Nikke is a masterpiece. Yes, there are pretty waifus. Yes, there are jiggle physics and busts galore (*screams in bisexual woman* <3) The art is GORGEOUS. But I quickly found myself looking beyond that, and saw the game for what it truly is. The story is compelling, and I thoroughly enjoy reading through it. The characters are charming, witty and the humor is great. Overall, they’re not bland– far from it, actually. All of the characters in the story are amazing, and it’s hard not to get attached to any of them. The gameplay loop centers around fighting robots, aka “Raptures” and when I say it’s satisfying and downright fun, I mean it. I’ve not found so much enjoyment in a gacha game before, but Nikke definitely takes the cake. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re like me and many other people, you probably like pretty anime waifus and were maybe looking for a new gacha game and Nikke caught your eye, but you’ll find more here than you were perhaps expecting. This game is seriously incredible; a breath of fresh air for the gacha genre. Sending all the hugs to the devs. Y’all deserve it 🫶🏻

Solid Gameplay, decent Gacha system and lackluster performance optimization.
The gameplay although really basic, sort of lends itself to actually having to think about weapon types and character utility. That would be amazing if the Gacha system had some sort of Pity System though, from what I understand you aren’t guaranteed any of the highest tier units in Summons, which isn’t ideal imo. I am free to play however some of the content in the game is super difficult for me simply because I don’t have a character that’s really good at something the few teams I have simply aren’t, or are vulnerable to because the team is really good at another thing; I have a team that has high levels of healing output but the team struggles because there isn’t enough dps or I have a team that does really good dps but there’s a lack of defense or support/healing as a result. And the game’s performance is awful honestly. I am on an XS, however I play at the lowest settings and the phone doesn’t get crazy hot actually, Genshin Impact for example actually runs cooler and more consistently at the lowest graphics settings and I feel like that shouldn’t be.

Amazing potential but still needs a TON of work.
You can tell that whoever designed this game put a lot of effort and love into it. The gameplay is fun, the art is fantastic, the story is incredible, and all the small interactions you have with the characters you get really builds a connection between you and the game. However, the publishers of this game have taken what could and should have been a great game and turned it into a complete mess. Every (not an exaggeration) SSR unit in the game is currently bugged, some worse than others. The F2P currency handed out after you’ve cleared all content only amounts to about 13 pulls PER MONTH. The first event they’ve now launched doesn’t allow for f2p players and, believe it or not, even most spending players to complete it and clear out the event shop. The ONLY time we’ve heard from the devs about these massive bugs with the game is when the shop broke and was giving players free materials, no surprise there. All in all this game has potential, but as it is currently I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone that cares about their time and I certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone to spend on this game as its currently $40 a multi. This game is not f2p and surprisingly isn’t p2w friendly either.

I love this game
I been playing this game since launch.. I saw it in a comercial and thought why not, two years later im still playing, and its still going. in a Nut Shell Nikke is about you a Male Commander of a Female Cyborg group trying to defeat Giant Robots with AI called Raptures which we humans invented but turned against us and made the Surface of Earth into a Fallout type post-apocalyptic Future with the Arc and Outpost being the last Human Cities while some Humans still live in the surface. its A Scifi Action 3rd person shooter, with mini-sandbox maps. it has a main story which is deep has alot of lore , side quests, story events each month with new characters, a store to collect powerups, costumes, and loot boxes. grinding is so rewarding, and if you spend money on the game they give you bonuses on seasons, its one of the best IDEL Games that South Korea has made it has already became a house hold item with ppl cosplaying the characters, so much art being sold online, anime figures, cell phone cases, a bandai card game, and car stickers. you have to try it.

Game Crashes
Game crashes every few minutes. I can’t fight the whale at all, Game crashes every time. Haven’t gotten through a simulation or pvp battle without restarting the app many times. Was hoping to get to account level 200 but it’s becoming very time consuming to restart the app every few attempts at any activity in the game. It used to be rarer during one or two activities. I am regretting investing any money into this game. (Battle passes and skins) Privaty needs a nerf in pvp, the only comps everyone uses is Healer plus Privaty and the rest of your squad can be spoons and you will still win. Why are the rewards for every event the same? There isn’t anything unique about what you can earn. It’s rinse and repeat with all of the event relying on story being the unique experience (which it is. lore, stories and side plots are fantastic.) just routinely do each activity through the crashes. I rarely do the simulation anymore cuz of how often I have to restart. The crashes are severely hurting my want to play, my play time and my activity completion rate as well as my resources. I will finish out the Dorothy event and pray y’all get some stability in the game and if it’s still horrible by the end of it then I’m throwing in the towel. Ty for the entertainment thus far.

Instability issues and gacha
I would rate this game higher, but there are issues with the game that I feel needs to be addressed. For one, the game crashes on my iphone 13 whenever I open the recruitment tab or am rolling. It could just be an optimization issue as the samsung counterpart doesn't do that, it just lags a little instead. Also, the gacha can get a bit invasive with it's low rates. The game attempts to resolve this with a wishlist that lets you get higher rates on the characters you want. However, I would often roll 20+ rolls in order to get 1 ssr. They also have shards that when you have enough, gives a chance to give you a random ssr. Those chances are not great despite the gold molds claiming a 60 percent chance of getting an ssr. Also a future problem with getting ssrs especially pilgrims is that they will only level up to 80. If you want their level to be higher, you need to get extremely lucky or spend countless dollars into rolling to get another copy to limit break them. Pilgrims are also not on the mentioned wishlist so your chances of getting the same exact one is not guaranteed. Good luck with your pulls!

One of most Fun and Better Gatcha Game
Game is Fun, Lore/Story makes it even more interesting and gives close to Noir Automaton with Humanity to survive. Events that happens on a Monthly bases is pretty Fun with great New Characters and Pretty good Skins (both probably worth the money if ur looking to spend). The only problem u could face is lack of certain Resources like Rapture Cores or Money to progress anything (Specially Nikke Leveling) and after a while (depending if u have every Girls unlocked) Cores to upgrade the Nikke gets very slim and even more slim for previous Event Characters after they get added to roaster in Recruitment. Would be great if any previous Event give out one Character for finishing Normal/Hard (or Character Core if already unlocked) with the background Menu giving it worth more then just Background Menu Even with these Flaws i still give it a high score as its very fun and worth try play. They always ask for Surveys and its very great to give some sort of Feedback, this is probably one of the best Anime Games on Mobile

Better than Expected
I’m pretty impressed by the gameplay and graphics of this game, and I do enjoy the storyline as well. It looks like a lot of thought had been put into it. There is plenty to do, and keeps you busy during your off time if you have any. The Characters are pretty cute too and I love the overall design that has been given to them. However, I do think the leveling up and staring up needs to change. I’ve already stared up my rare characters and they can’t be leveled any higher and I’ve only been playing for the past few days. Which means when you summon more characters the extra of the same characters you get can no longer level up that character. It seems like a waste of time now to summon. So I think there should be more opportunity to level up the characters you like more and possible make either common or rare characters turn into super rare characters. Either than that, thoroughly enjoying the game!

Good game, sometimes doesn’t load
Let me start off with the positives: this game is very fun to play, and (mostly) FTP friendly. The character designs are nice, the animations are VERY impressive, and the gameplay feels well rounded and fun. It’s not like a lot of gacha games Ive played where you go AFK and watch a bunch of PNG’s fight for you. In terms of the gacha, the rates are pretty bad. But it’s a gacha game, all the rates are pretty bad. It’s nowhere near as hard to obtain good characters as games like Genshin or Arknights. However, the game as a TON of animations in it. This can be both a good and a bad thing. Playing on an iPhone, almost every time I pull in the gacha the game crashes. Every. Time. When I log beck in I still have the rewards, but it takes a way a lot of the fun and anticipation. I’m not sure why Nikke causes my phone to crash because I can run games like Genshin and Punishing Grey Raven no problem, and they all have much of the same animation quality. (Although genshins animations are more well rounded) despite this, I love this game and would give it five stars if not for the crashing issue.

It’s Perfect!… Almost, anyway
I will say my time with Nikke:Goddess of Victory has been nothing but a good one. I got the game initially about 3 months ago and then dropped it because of my life. I hopped back into the game 2 weeks ago as of the date of this review. During that time I’ve had 12 Nikkes hit level 100 and gotten myself into Chapter 11. The characters are amazing, the story is engaging (and sometimes out of pocket hilarious) and the F2P experience could be worse. On that note, I feel that the game’s difficulty is tuned in such a manner it makes rapid progress (or sometimes trying to hit the next story point in a chapter) nearly impossible to do in a day. Normally I wouldn’t have an issue, but with the only F2P way to acquire gems being cheaper clears and level ups, it can feel scummy when a encounter goes from your current level to 3000ish points higher. I know why it’s done, it just feels off-putting. But this is an amazing game, with some kinks ironed out it is a 5/5. But until some things are fixed, it will remain at a 4/5 for me

It Gets Worse…
I’ve played as much as I can of this game as I could up to the point where I noticed how pointless the Gacha system becomes. Rates are so bad that you are better off using the Nikkes they give you. This is because levels are locked behind Ranks. Simply put, you don’t pull a dupe, the Nikke becomes useless. You are in fact more likely to pull a new SSR Nikke than one you already have which is good for people who play to collect, but god awful for people who are F2P that genuinely want to progress. It’s painful to say all of this because the gameplay and much of the story is very good. The threshold in which you start to realize this is around Level 50 which is maybe 3-4 weeks depending on how long you play everyday. By then you might have pulled roughily 20 full 10 pulls. Unfortunately if I continue playing the game any longer my rating will continue to fall as I’ve never had such bad rates in any of the hundreds of gachas I still play. So if you are looking for a good gacha don’t look for it here. If you are looking for something new, try it out. It’s a good game, but a terrible gacha.

Extremely fun game but
I’ve never had a gacha have THIS bad of rates. Ive probably been playing for about three weeks to a month now, and im currently in a dry spell of over ONE HUNDRED pulls and they’ve been all SR and R rankings. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a gacha and that’s part of the gamble but seriously? It’s 3,000 gems to pull ten units. You’re really going to sit there and tell me that 30,000+ gems and I can’t pull even a duplicate SSR?? The game lacks a pity pull system and it makes it a weak contender for gacha games. I want to like the game, I really do. The graphics are fantastic, the art style is gorgeous, the story is by far the best one I’ve played for a gacha, and there’s so many Nikkes that have amazing personalities. But it becomes painfully disheartening to even attempt to get your team stronger and all you pull is duplicates of SR and R nikkes. You very quickly see how you hit a glass ceiling that if you’re not willing to put out money, you’re out of luck.

Rng is terrible
The game itself is pretty good and the visuals are great. I love the character designs, but it sure would be nice to actually unlock them once in a while. The RNG in this game is ATROCIOUS. I’ve played lots of gacha games and this one is one of the worst with draw rates. I’ve only managed to get two event characters since launch and it’s just really frustrating. I may just stop playing soon because I’m sick of playing with the same characters and not getting any of the special ones. It really wants you to spend money on gems to keep feeding the slot machine. I have never had this bad of luck with anything I’ve ever played. It’s too bad because the game is really fun. If there was a way to unlock certain characters with shards or some system like that, that other gacha use, you could at least earn them by pulling enough times, but that doesn’t exist. Don’t bother even starting the costume draw, you can’t do that for free at all and it doesn’t even give you the possibility of unlocking the costume until you’ve spun a certain number of times. I wouldn’t say these problems are enough to not play it, but don’t expect to get anything in this game without opening your wallet WIDE.

Now it’s a pay game
Yea, got this when it first came out and loved the art, concept, and stories behind it. After about 100+ hrs in, and with recent updates, I can no longer get unique units……. Just the same 10 common ones even after using like 9k + diamonds and 50 + some recruit cards…….. yea no longer playing it. I played it to get new units once in a while, but for the past month and this update with the event, not playing it anymore since I received zero new cards. Not sorry. Gave it 2 stars as it started great and I received allot of unique units and skins, but I’m tired of the same 10 I am always getting meow. Update: Giving them 2nd chance as they responded (even though it’s a generic response). Noticed also the last several reviews have been this same issue so definitely fix the recruit %. Heck, someone spending $270 (wasn’t me) and not getting any SSR cards is an issue. Might be something with the coding of the Over Zone event update as this is when I (and it appears others) spent all the stuff. Changed to 3 stars too.

I want to like it, but it’s a major let down.
As much as I want to like this game and be swept away from the hype and enjoy the waifus and gunplay. This game doesn’t “dangle the carrot” to keep me playing or give me any reasons to play. The rolls are drops are atrocious. After doing some research to see if I have terrible luck, turns out The developer got caught manipulating drop rates in Korea with another one of their games. You will spend most of your time playing with all R characters because that’s all you will get, any SSR characters you get are way to far and few in between or the game doesn’t recommend you use them. Even if the drop rates increase don’t expect much. I don’t min paying a little for some extra stuff if I like a game, but $5 for one roll just to get one common or uncommon character is a waste for me but they got to make money somehow right. The story and gameplay is what I stayed for up to halfway through chapter 5. But you hit the paywall and you are stuck. Maybe one day I’ll come back, but I’ll spend my time and money on player friendly games like Azur Lane or Arc knights.

has potential
But the game constantly crashes and is not f2p friendly. Players are hard gated to progress unless they are lucky enough to pull 3 copies each of 5 SSR units in the games huge roster. Premium game income to recruit characters is very low as you can possibly get 20~30 rolls a month as a f2p, and with a pity system at 200 rolls....expect really slow progress if you're unlucky. The game also blatantly throws limited time sale deals at you when you reach certain milestones trying to nickel and dime you if you end up falling for those. The game has great potential as the story and characters are well written and even with the simple gameplay, it's fun to play. But the game feels like a cash grab with the prices for the premium currency, the flash sales and the expensive character skins. I would not recommend this game unless you want an idle game to play for an hour a day and can get past/ignore the monetization.

The Game Keeps Kicking Me out when I Do A Summon and when I get back in I don’t have my rewards
As u can see in the title of my RANT about this game don’t get me wrong I love this game and I was one of the people that pre-ordered to get the game. But lately this game has had a problem and that’s when ever I do my summons it kicks me out and when I go back in the game I don’t have any of my stuff not even what I’m supposed to get after the summons. The first time left me stuck with 1000 gems when it took 3000 away & I was kicked out this is the second time and took away all my cards. I’m not gonna keep playing the game if I can’t even get my rewards as I had the same characters man long now. I hope you guys can reach me out about this situation but until then I don’t plan on doing any summons until I get my stuff back. PS: it’s not easy getting all that stuff I even loss good characters so u guys got to make it up

Need to expand transaction methods
The game is very good . But actually the payment methods are quite few, just paypal or credit cards,... That affects those who want to make in-game purchases such as battle passes or gems, so the methods should be expanded. Other methods such as scratch cards, in-game currency to pay all in-game packages, an in-game currency or a variety of payment methods for battle pass packages or gems for easier access to payments without the need for a third party Maybe if the payment method is too easily accessible, there could be a case of children spending without parental supervision, but in this game I think there is none or if there is, very, very few players under age 12 and if they are young, there will be no need to trade in a game that they are not sure to last long with, I hope game developer can consider and include more payment methods in the game to improve player experience

Amazing Gacha Game
NIKKE, is a breath of fresh air. The game’s story is interesting, the character designs are amazing, animation is great (even the Gacha animation!), and gameplay is new and different from others. The game has aspects from other Gacha such as an afk collection, a tower, and bosses to fight for gear. The gameplay is something I’ve never seen before and is what made me play the game. The character designs have a cyberpunk-esque sort of look for most characters and even Mecha designs. The characters have fun side stories and a sense of personality. The Gacha is pretty standard but feels frustrating sometimes (as with all gachas), the rates are not too bad and are pretty standard with the rates of other games, getting an SSR feels extremely satisfying. Overall I would give this game a 4.8/5, it’s got a fun concept and story, with great characters, there are times where you will be stuck on certain levels but that’s part of the experience.

Great game, but skin Gacha is unforgivable
The game is really fun and plays very well. Easy to pick up and has a lot of great story and characters. It’s also very predatory with its constant pushing you to buy things. Every ten levels buy this special package, every ten floors you clear in the tribe tower? Buy this limited time package. Every campaign you clear? Buy this limited package. You don’t have to buy obviously but it makes you feel like you need to. Despite all that I had fun playing it. I’ve spent some money as well because I have disposable income and it’s a hobby I enjoy. But I’m giving it 2 stars because of the skin Gacha system they just introduced. You have to potentially spend 60$ to get a skin for 1 character. I’ve spent 30$ and gotten all the low tier prizes and I feel extremely ripped off. Not worth the money at all. This is just shameless of them to put in the game that already tried to get you to spend at every opportunity. It should have been 30$ MAX for the grand prize. I can’t justify the price or recommend new players to try this game if they keep this up.

5 star ratings are a joke
While the storyline is engaging, the game is riddled with bugs that are being overlooked by the publisher. Imagine having to deal with the game crashing every 20-30 minutes for no reason, unprecedented ban notices, and reward glitches. Additionally, the excessive lag and bugged descriptions/mechanics for new and old units. Some which make units either borderline broken or unusable. This can hinder general progression because you are stuck with bad rolls pretty much for the entirety of the game. Even if you were to reroll for better units the process is excessively time hungry at this point in the game—it can take anywhere from 20-25 minutes per reroll and you can’t skip tutorial. Considering that the f2p income is fairly limited in Nikke, these restrictions only make the experience worse. Additionally the quality of the mobile client is laughable, primarily because auto functions become worse as you go into harder stages—mainly aim, screen panning and the overlapping/unnecessary visual elements in coop. While the game is playable that doesn't mean that it is good, it is clearly visible that the company is trying to reap profits with minimal effort.

Love the Game, One suggestion
Hi, I’m really loving the game from the story, music, characters, to the combat and many more. I would say the only thing I want added is a way to change the screen orientation on mobile just by moving your phone. I think vertical works best for general gameplay, like viewing story and characters, but horizontal is better for combat, especially boss content. I don’t want to quickly go through the settings and switch back. It would be easier to just rotate my phone, and it would change the orientation. Sometimes I would replay story in the Command Center just because I got done with a boss where I used horizontal orientation. Horizontal orientation on mobile makes the story screen with the dialogue and characters smaller. So, I would go back to vertical in the replay. In all, thank you for making this great game and I hope you all will consider my suggestion

Player opinions don’t matter
This game has so much potential but many publicity players have voiced their opinions yet they really don’t do much. Players were constantly giving actual feedback but were ignored. It’s ridiculous how the tower manufacturer molds have a chance of obtaining the lowest rarity characters even though they can only be obtained once per floor. Not to mention the towers were a weekly task so it would take weeks before you could actually use the mold. There is literally hundreds of threads where players use their molds after WEEKS of farming only to obtain a R rarity character which is a 20% chance vs 50%chance for SSR. It’s really sad that this company is on the constant lookout to remove one star reviews just to continue promoting their game. Had so much hope for this game during the testing phase. But it’s really crazy and sad with the many decisions they’ve made upon release.

BEST MOBILE VERSION OF A GAME
Lets just start with quality, amazing! I’ve been playing Nikke for almost 7 to 8 months and I'm in love. Nikke are filled with different personalities and all look different. They have a lot of different game modes and daily activities to keep the game fun and running smoothly for entertainment. They reward for mistakes and fix them ASAP. The updates are my favorite part always something new and new Nikkes are always cool and fun to try to pull. Of course you can pay to play as i did but i recommended my brother and he doesn’t pay to play and is advances a little slower than i am but still advancing! Only negative opinion you can say is the skins are a little pricey but beyond that, they do give opportunities to claim different skins for various Nikke. Personally 10/10 and highly recommend to download and grind! Thanks for a great game and for looking out for your commanders !

Very greedy game
The game has a lot of issues which the developers seem to ignore. The difficulty to progress in the game, mold not guaranteeing SSRs, the horrendous gacha rates, etc. For the difficulty to progress after a certain point, the only way to progress is to get lucky. In the beginning, the max level for all units is 160 and to get the max cap of 200, you need 5 SSRs with 3 dupes each. Without that, you’re forever stuck at level 160 and have to get lucky to get those dupes. But with the horrendous rates, it seems impossible. I just did 9 multis and only 2 of them had 1 SSR, which doesn’t help me progress. If you see other people do their pulls, they have similar experiences where they get only 1 SSR in 6 multis. And with how greedy they are with diamonds and pull currency, it’s very discouraging to save up, pull, and get nothing that can help you move forward in the game. And with SSR molds not guaranteeing an SSR, it makes it even harder. I hope the developers actually make changes for the better of the game, but given the past few months, it doesn’t like that will happen.

Amazing Game with some Minor Kinks
This game is incredible, I never put it down ever since I started playing it. They have made huge strides since the games release and I hope they continue to make game improvements as quickly as they have. Over zone was amazing and the half anni was a spectacular celebration. One big issue I’ve had is the Pilgrim molds. I’ve spent 1700 summons chasing Modernia and I haven’t gotten her yet…so my molds are my best chance of getting her…but many players including myself get an R unit out of the molds. It says 50/50 but majority of us open all four molds and get nothing. Shift Up, please address the manufacturer mold issue. No one likes grinding all that time to get the Pilgrim mold only to get an R unit. It’s such a slap in the face. At least increase the rates if it won’t be made guaranteed. And once you do, players need to be compensated that did not get anything from their mold.

Glad to see fixes!
I wrote a review earlier to describe issues with the game and especially about its random crashes, friending in-game issues, and individual character story errors and I’m happy to see some improvement! So far the game hasn’t crashed on me for a bit and the individual character stories are working as intended. I still run into issues with friending commanders who seem to pop up on “recommended commanders” to add to my friend list due to them already having a full list. I don’t know if that still is a bug or just how little people play in the NA server but kinda ruins the game a bit for events. Some events require to send nearly 30 friendship points but I can’t do that if I can’t friend people. Besides this, I appreciate this game is being worked on by developers who are keeping an eye on complaints and working on fixes! Keep up the good work developers and hope to see this game continue for many years to come.
