Nice app, looks like functionality has improved. Only request would be to add support for other languages If possible. Gol is a partner for Delta and other SkyTeam members and other language support would be welcomed.
The reason I hate flying regional carriers. Software has a single case use: non-stop flights for 1 person. Where it fails flat on its face: 1)Multi stop cities. 2)Multi stop international flights. 3)Multi passenger flights with a combination of the above. 4)Provides No gate information, flight status is sparse and vague. 5)Doesn’t advise of any documentation needed for travel. (Staff expects you to have it without prior knowledge/visibility). Further context: I wasn’t allowed to check in because I had to show my CC to a clerk. 2nd guest wasn’t allowed to check in for the same reason as above, after my CC was verified. When transferring internationally, I had to exit the airport and check in at a counter again, because the app is incapable of providing more than one ticket on the app. When the ticket was printed, the attendant failed to activate the ticket so we needed a 2nd go around adding stress to the entire process. So yeah. Go old school, print everything out and give yourself ample time. This isn’t an AA or Delta experience. Petition for the airline to call itself Gol en contra
Can’t pay for my seat because the APP is broken and won’t accept any of my credit cards. I’m pretty sure I have more than 20 BRL in any of my cards limits! Also tried booking seat through website but the page doesn’t work either, the button to “confirm and pay” doesn’t show at the end of page. Literally not there. Dead end since customer service NEVER answers the phone. Several attempts! 2 stars because it’s not like this airline doesn’t have any money to pay for technology to work properly or to hire more customer service people to answer the phone!
It is better than the competition. However it still does a poorer job than the website. It mags you constantly about location services, takes a long time to start, forgets who you are and your personal info, requests more info than the website to locate your reservation, has long unnecessary animations that only delay the whole process. An airline app should be fast and unencumbered. As a positive it adds your boarding pass to wallet, but sometimes don't group then properly.

i fly GOL often, and it doesn’t properly save my info and today i have tried six times to checkin and it keeps erroring and i have to re-enter the information every time and the me us are annoying that you have to select multiple times the country vs. selecting a box that saves the same information for all. eu voo com a GOL com frequência e ele não salva minhas informações corretamente e hoje tentei seis vezes fazer check-in e ele continua dando erros e tenho que inserir as informações novamente todas as vezes e nós somos chatos porque você tem que selecionar vários vezes o país versus selecionar uma caixa que salva as mesmas informações para todos.
The product team could work on the error messages. Also when a reservation is changed, you will get an error message saying it can’t be found when trying clicking on it. If you add the same reservation again, you’ll get the new times and aircraft number, and that would do the trick. But this can be very frustrating for most users who won’t be able to figure out the issue.
Need support for other languages. When you check in, it asks for your country. In the list it is impossible to select índia which is the last item in the list. I am indian, so it is impossible for me to check in through the app. It is also impossible for me to check in through the website because it asks for a CPF number. I am not Brazilian, so I dont have one...
App crashes when I try to sign in or when I try to check in for a flight. Extremely frustrating that I cannot check in for my international flight with a partner airline because the app and the website won’t let me even though I have an account. If I don’t check in for the domestic flight I cannot check in for my international flight so now I have to go to the airport to check in for all three of my flights.
Really, don’t even bother downloading it! It won’t work for check in, it won’t remember you (so it won’t add your flights automatically), it will give you a lot of trouble to find your reservations and it won’t allow you to do changes to your flight or identify the benefits of your mileage program... It’s way easier to go to the website, don’t understand why this app exists if none of its functionalities works!
The app is the LOWEST level of all the airliens apps around the world!!! I can’t access it with ip outside Latin America, even if I was in Brazil but using a data roaming. I can’t buy luggage on the app for international transit flight. Every time I tried, it crashed and the app blackout until reinstall it. How crazy is it??? I don’t know why there is 4.5 stars for this app. Everything is not right!
Driving me absolutely insane. Created a log in profile with mine and my girlfriend’s details… but as soon as I go to check in it ignores the profile information and blanks it. When I finally get through to adding baggage it crashes on me. Happened 4 times in a row now with restarts. Useless piece of ****
The app didn’t let me check in in a domestic flight. I almost missed a flight because I had to check in at the counter even though I had no luggage. There were, at least, 30 people in the same situation at the time.
Everything in this app seems designed by interns, not even graduated engineers. Information needs to be entered over and over again, it doesn’t match the website, it’s a mess. I really advise you hire some senior software developers and make it easier to use.
The app is in Portuguese mix with English terms. What is the point of advertising in English if the app isn’t written in English. the app is broken, the website app is broken to… Very frustrating to say the least. CUSTOMER SERVICE, is it any help at all they don’t speak English and poorly trained.
I really dislike flying with Gol as they have horrible software, with their website arguably being the worst from any Latim America. But certainly the worst is their mobile app. Do not use it if you can. Better to call them or rely on their website.
Not work well with IOS, even the last version available. Keep frozen and not even complete a check in. I delete and instal again some times and the first time, works but not enough to do a check in. Even when works, it is really slow. I try with 4G and Wi-Fi
The online mobile site check-in is flawed for international travelers. It creates an error when trying to select “passport” as your document. This forces you to download the mobile application, which is very slow.
The app literally doesn’t load, you can’t book on the website, I don’t really see how this company can stay in business if you can’t really access its service
Flight status not updated to correct flight time which I dunno… call me crazy but is kinda an important feature. I guess when you ain’t on a major airline you have rookie junior developers doing work.
Years on and EVERYTHING is bad: app takes forever to load, crashes, does not process seat payment/reservation… almost one update per week and never improves.
Terrible website and terrible app if you live outside of brazil. Not possible to make payments on anything as it defaults to Ecuador as the country, and wont let you change the country
