The application stopped working even after multiple reinstalls. This happened when I move to iPhone X from iPhone 7. I cannot update my gold holdings and when leaving the vault and returning to the vault, the display of gold holdings remains locked opened. Again the vault is not working.
I have been using app since it came out and came to count on it as a backup for keeping track of my holdings until the last update My password opens the vault simulation, BUT now show zero balances for holdings. Very disconcerting at this point as I came to trust it as a sanitary way to keep track. Going back through my records and even having to physically go and count holding is going to be a great big hassle. Can this be fixed??? Although it’s a free service, I am a customer and feeling kind of duped currently.
Like others, I found the effort to buy through this app too cumbersome and went another route. Like others, I had reverted to using the app’s “vault” feature to quickly track the value if my holdings. But now, that’s an issue, too. I get that the app is focused on gold and silver, but the inability to enter *any* other precious metals (really, no platinum?) means the one use I had for this app is gone. I’ll recommend this app if your one and only interest is tracking gold and silver holdings. Otherwise, no.
I like being able to quickly glance at the spot prices and the value of my current holdings. But I really like having headlines and relevant articles to look at which put the market changes into context. Unfortunately, the headlines section and the videos sections are full of bugs. The app will go weeks at a time with those fields not loading, or remaining blank entirely. Even if I reboot the phone, or uninstall / reinstall the app. Just seems like some simple fixes need to be sorted.
User experience is not so great. App feels like a novelty more than anything else. Doesn’t sync with gold/ silver account. No option to buy more gold and silver. Doesn’t support apple wallet Doesn’t store credit card for easy purchases later Doesn’t sync with your banking app to make wire transfers easier Vault should display your actual holdings with the website. There is no practical reason to download this app other than the novelty of opening a virtual vault box. Goldsilver....I just populated your mobile app development backlog for free!
So far the most expensive premium to purchase, and biggest $$ penalty/discount on selling that I have experienced. I would not recommend them now. Otherwise a reputable company.
You guys are losing money with this app I tried 3 times to order some silver and it felt like rocket science. Please make this more user friendly. It would be much more convenient and help us out a lot investing.
Mike Maloney and his staff are great and this app of their's is great too. But they really need to make it active in the background so that it doesn't lose its place and restart from the loading screen every time I close it and return to it. This is more or less the minimum standard for answer these days actually it's the standard as of a couple of years ago. It's a little frustrating reading one of the articles on the newsfeed then having to go back to my home screen to check my email or something then going back to the goldsilver app 10 seconds later and seeing the loading screen and having lost my progress in reading the article or worse in watching a video. Hopefully they get that fixed in the near future but all around it still a good app to have and be sure to check out Mike Maloney's websites goldsilver and hidden secrets of money.
I have always wanted a quick-glance method of knowing how much my current holdings of precious metals are worth. The "vault" feature does this quite nicely. Thanks guys!

this is a great app. it give you real time Gold and silver price. also it provides and updates you news for Gold and silver. Would totally recommend this.
Was really excited when I saw this... Unfortunately the app doesn't work. News feed it the only thing active, no charts, prices and the vault doesn't calculate holding to fiat. Hoping for an update to fix.
