Despicable business. I know the airline has refunded them (because I called the airline) and they refuse to reimburse me. They keep sending emails threatening to charge $30 if they have to help with refund. Believe me I’ve done all the work, and I have gotten the refund processed. But Gotogate fails to reimburse customers and their phone line makes you wait on hold forever and then answers with a dead line. I wish I had never clicked on Gotogate for purchase of airline ticket. If you’re reading this, please do not ever ever ever book through Gotogate. Book with airline directly or use any other travel agency. This is not a travel service, but a travel disservice. Seriously I would’ve had my money back from multiple covid-cancelled flights and wouldn’t have had to waste so much time trying to fight Gotogate. I haven’t received a penny back from them and have three canceled flights through them :/ Other friends on the same flights already have their money back because they didn’t use Gotogate.

Incompetent and maybe intentionally fraudulent

A couple weeks ago, I booked an international flight that clearly included baggage in the fare, but the issued ticket didn’t include baggage. The ticket was cancellable, so I requested a refund within minutes, but GoToGate held onto a $60 service fee. GoToGate has refused to refund their $60 lack-of-service charge, and it turns out that there are facebook groups with thousands of members devoted to GoToGate refund claims. And now, the virtual card that I used with GoToGate has suddenly been getting fraudulent charges after half a decade with no problems, suggesting that maybe GoToGate was also a security breach. Bottom line, avoid at all costs. Hopefully, these guys are just having massive technical glitches as the travel industry ramps back up, and not intentionally scamming the literally thousands of users complaining about them on facebook, but either way, this isn’t an app for worry-free transactions.

Scammed us a seat

Don’t use these people. I wish I would’ve read the reviews myself!! We have 4 adults and two children. We paid for six seats so we could bring the car seats on the plane and so each child had their own seat. Thank GOD I happened to call the airline to ask general questions beforehand. They charged us for 6 seats, but they only paid for 5 seats and pocketed the money. Infants can fly for free by sitting in your lap. We specifically didn’t want this so the baby could have his own seat. We were livid! The gentleman for allegiant said it’s not surprising and the most likely explanation is that they pocketed the money. We would’ve been blindsided at the gate and charged even more for the car seat. We had to pay out of pocket for a new seat and frankly, we were lucky the flight wasn’t full since the holidays are coming. They are shady. Don’t use them.

Book, but use airline app.

I found the buying process through gotogate totally fine. But the app, while it has the flight info, says “Stay calm, you’re checked in! You will be able to see your boarding pass for each flight here 24 hours before they depart. We’ll notify you once they are available.” Here’s the kicker: no chance I could’ve been actually checked in sooner than 24 hours before my flight (obviously), and even once we hit the 24 hour mark, the message didn’t change. (I’m at 23 hours now and still nothing). I ended up downloading the actual app for my airline which said my status was not checked in (obviously), and had to complete a bunch of paperwork before being able to get my boarding passes. Had I waited for this app to update, who knows how long it would’ve taken me at the gate to get sorted.

Terrible company

I booked my ticket on this website and I never received a confirmation email. I called a few weeks later and it was a huge process of giving all my info for them to access my ticket. They sent me the itinerary from a different email and it was all very weird. Never received an email to check in or prepare for the flight or anything. When I tried checking in none of the order number I had worked and I had to call again and they said I will have to go check in on the airport. Basically this company is not doing the tickets, they just gave all my info to some other “company” and it’s just very unprofessional. Never had an issue with any bookings in my life before. I saved $2 by doing it with this company and not Kiwi. Not worth all this hassle that’s for sure

First time user and was not very happy. We took our daughter (4) on her first flight. Booked through Gotogate website and was instructed to use app to make things easier. 👎🏻 mine and my husband’s ticket were ok but when we went to scan our daughters boarding pass at security it wouldn’t work. We tried to re-checkin because the security supervisor said something about the tickets had changed since it was last updated. I had to take my 4 year old back to the ticket counter and download the airline app to get things fixed. All this after we’d already stood in line at security. So glad we were early and didn’t miss our flight. We will be deleting the app and only using the airline’s app on the way home.

Worthless app

When I downloaded this WORTHLESS app to view my trip and I went to input my email address and order number, I get a message that says “there is no existing trip.” However, when I am on their website, I am able to view my trip with this same information. Why does is the app not registering my trip information? After reading all of the back to back terrible reviews (why is the app rated 4.5 stars when I literally saw only 1 star ratings???), I became worried that my trip wasn’t even legitimate. So I decided to download the actual airport app and input my trip information and THANK GOD it pulled up. I will NOT be using the Gotogate app for my trip and will never ever ever be purchasing through them again.

Unreliable

In the app, I checked in three hours before the departure. However, I didn't receive the boarding pass. I had to check in at the airport and pay 110€. When I called Gotogate for the first time, they hung up on me, and the second time they didn't offer any assistance. It's impossible to find a phone number on their website. The supposed complaint form is in the terms and conditions. If you manage to find the terms and conditions, they are endlessly long, and I couldn't find the form either. I only found contact support on a third-party website. Gotogate's website seems designed to keep you going in circles and prevent you from reaching them the company. Customer support = 0.

Warning

I have never had an experience as bad as my experience with them, it’s definitely the worst in the whole life. Even one star is a lot for them . For canceling a ticket it took me over 30 hours of waiting on the phone listing to their stupid music and the unhelpful options, after all someone answered who barely speaks English and always rushing to end the call without even try to help. I also sent a cancellation email and there was no response after 10 business days, instead I received tons of offers about upgrading my booking and buying new services . Will never ever do any kind of business that related to this company anymore. please if you see their name anywhere just RUN AWAY.

Avoid at all costs so they go out of business

Unbelievable experience, in the worst way. I was told last minute my flight was cancelled (I found out it wasn’t), it’s taken me over 3.5 months to get a refund, no emails have been replied to other than one, and they’ve taken 4000yen off my refund to line their pockets. All I can hope is that they cease to exist and for this to happen we need others to refrain from using them and to continue to assassinate their abysmal reputation. Avoid. At all costs. and to Gotogate, do not reply with your generic response telling me this review doesn’t apply to the app, everything needs doing to ensure your demise and suffering, and do not dare ‘hey’ me either.

Scam company

Go to gate is a scam company. They do not refund money if you cancel a flight, even when a refund is due. I had a flight booked from USH through AEP to GIG. The flight from USH to AEP was delayed so much that I would not make the flight from AEP to GIG. They offered to rebook, but could not get us on another flight. Then they offered to refund the flight if we canceled the flight. I canceled the flight for a full refund, but was told days later that I would not be getting a refund. I filled a dispute with the BBB. Booking affirmed that I was due a full refund because the flight was changed by the airline company. But I needed to wait to seek a refund because I also filed a dispute with my credit card company. The credit card company has closed their dispute. But Go to Gate will still not refund my. Sadly, you get what you pay for. This is horrific customer service. They always go to India. And the representative give a different response every time. Do not make the mistake of using this third rate company.

SCAM ALERT

I bought a round trip ticket from this company. While at my destination local authorities canceled my flight. GoTo Gate messaged me and demanded I pay them to reschedule my return flight home. I refused, saying the flight change was not my own doing and the airline, which is a National Company of the Country I was visiting, was rescheduling all cancelled flights for free. GoTo Gate said ‘you must still pay us or we will not make the change.’ When I refused they rescheduled a connecting flight on my return route WITHOUT MY PERMISSION OR CONSENT and stop answering my emails and phone calls. I had to purchase my return flight separately. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE- THEY’LL SCAM YOU THE MOMENT THEY GET A CHANCE!

It’s pretty much a scam !!!

First of all I ended up paying 300 more than I would’ve if I booked directly with the airline !! They charge me for two checked bags but I’m only able to take one because I didn’t “check” the second passenger bag in the options they give you !! Why ? Why would I pay for a second bag and not want it !?!?! In what world that makes sense , that’s 70 dollars extra , where does that money even go ??? Please do yourself a favor and never book through this website/ company , I only picked it because google recommended it as the cheapest option and honestly is going to make the experience worse .

Stay away from Gotogate

Used Gotogate to book a vacation to Mexico. There service and app were a nightmare. Our connecting flight changed to be before we arrived from our first flight. They have a connection guarantee that is a joke. I waited 2.5 hours on the phone for a representative to help resolve the issue and all she said was call the airline. 2.5 hour wait for a 30 second non-response. I was unable to check in for 2 of the 4 flights which added extra stress to the trip. Stay far far away from Gotogate. The slightly cheaper flight is not worth the stress and poor customer service.

Trying to contact customer service

It took me several calls to finally talk to someone who could help me. The language barrier was terrible with the several calls I made. The final person that was able to confirm my flight was very short with me even after I told him how happy I was to finally get the confirmation I needed. All in all I got what I was searching for so I guess I’m satisfied. Just wish people could speak better English and be a little nicer.

Canceled

Booked a flight through the app for a long awaited vacation. It was a great price for a flight. A month later they canceled the trip without reason they claimed that the airline canceled the flight but when I checked the flight was still there. They charged $30 for canceling their reservation which no longer had anything reserved. Per their customer service prepared to wait an hour. I sat in a queue for 2 1/2 hours. Recommendation: book directly through the airline what ever savings are being offered are not worth the struggle

Headache city

Everyone will have different experiences leading to their ratings so I’ll share mine. During the booking checkout, the form would not accept my primary card. The site wouldn’t even try to process the card, and the button to proceed was greyed out until I entered a different card. Once I booked the flight I received two confirmation numbers. Neither of these were recognized by the airline reservation checker tool. I reached out to both the airline as well as Gotogate. The airline was very helpful, but the Gotogate support was a little slow. I also didn’t like all of the extras that Gotogate tries to add on as you go through the process. Even after declining everything they do try to send many emails about purchasing more. All in all I’d rather pay an extra $50 on my ticket every time to prevent these headaches.

Worst experience, SCAM

I booked a flight with Gotogate and it was cancel by the airline: Eastern. I had to wait two hours to speak with a representative from Gotogate. They told me to solve the issue myself (even tho it wasn’t my fault the flight was canceled) I had to call them, and the airline three times. Gotogate didn't inform that my flight was cancelled, I found out at the airport! Gotogate customer service’s representatives are rude. And last but not least, the refund takes TWO MONTHS to be processed, that’s just crazy. People, an advice, DON’T BOOK WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!

If I could, I wouldn’t give them any star. They are the worst. I booked a flight with this app, I payed the insurance and flexible ticket (DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY with this). Basically, they say if you have a flexible ticket “you can switch flights up to 24hrs before”, “change your flight to another with the same airline” and “only pay the new flight cost differences”. I called 3 weeks before my flight to change it to the day before, but they answered me they do not have flights available “for rescheduling”. But if I wanted, I could cancel my flight and book the flight for the day I want (because the flight is available to buy but not for reschedule) Oh, but if I cancel, I would not get any refund even though I payed extra for the stupid flexible ticket…🙂 As absurd as this sounds. Almost $400usd lost.

They USE the app to steal money

These people are thieves, they stole $523 from me, they did not refunded my ticket even thought they assure me they will do it. I called 23 times and open 15 tickets, and they keep telling that I’ll get my money in 5 days, and after 3 months they close the case and that’s it. I have to cancel my Turkis airline flight because they made a schedule change, and Gotogate never asked the airline for the refund in order to keep the commission and my money, do not not use them, they are a scam.

Fake payment

I know this website from other traveling websites, they diverted me to here bcuz the ticket was really cheap, after I filled all informations, and took me to the payment page, I filled all payment informations including the passcode, then after I clicked finish, the price suddenly increased four times even more expensive than all prices, from 500 to 2200$ which is no way to continue. And now after I gave all my card info I don’t feel secured and don’t recommend it to anyone.

Inaccurate information.

Flight information doesn't match the airline. I got an email from GoToGate suggesting I install their app, so I did. The flight info for my booking in this app does NOT match the airline's information. What good is useless misleading information going to do me? Why would I use an app that's going to make me miss my flight? I downloaded it to be able to check in early like it said in the email (couldn't find this feature) but I'm uninstalling because the app has bad info.

Horrible! Don’t use!

I booked a flight with them. When I received the confirmation, I noticed there was an error. There is no way to get help through the app. I called their customer service number - waited about 45mins to speak to a live person, who had no idea what she was doing. Kept putting me on hold every 5mins. I then asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. She hung up on me!!!! A total of 1 hour and 30mins. Problem still not resolved. I would highly suggest don’t book with them!

A SCAM! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM

I booked a round trip to Vietnam and paid through PayPal, so we thought we could trust them. The flight to the destination is normal but the flight back was cancelled. The airline said that gotogate cancelled the tickets and claimed to have refunded the money to me. I never got any of my money back. PayPal only holds the money for 30 days and my trip was 2 months long, so for the flight back I couldn't even take it up to PayPal to solve it. This company is a fraud and a scam. Don't ever book here. 🤬🤬🤬

•Very despicable page and app. •Very unsafe. •They never pick up any phone. •They don’t even have real customer services. •Too much issues, anxiety and panic you have to deal at the airports because you actually don’t even know where you going if you get a ticket with this people. •It’s a nightmare booking site. •Not recommend at all •not even one start. Very dissatisfied. Apple what’s going on with you recommending this type of insecure sites and app.

They steal your money

I had a business ticket reservation with gotogate. I contacted the airline to cancel it and they told me no fee would be charged by airline for cancelation (if done earlier than check in) but I would need to contact gotogate for the actual cancelation. I contacted gotogate via chat. First they told me they charge me 44$ their own fee for cancelation. And then I received an email from them saying the airline would charge another 53$ as their fee which is LIES! Gotogate cheats you!

Worst airline third party service I have ever used in my life. These people are scammers. Please if you really do trust reviews, do not trust them to fly with their services. This company took over $700 for a flight I was not onboard. When I asked for my hard earned money, they started yelling over me saying it is not refundable. Truly, this is a SCAM. Save your hard-earned money and solely book through the airline. Learned this the hard way.

Cannot use to modify or cancel anything

The App doesn't allow for any services other then viewing what you've already booked or making more purchases. There is no way to reach customer service through the app, there are no options to modify anything, and there are no options to cancel fights or bookings. The Gotogate customer service phone queue is currently full, and I've been in the queue for 5 hours now waiting to talk to someone.

horrendous AVOID AT ALL COSTS

GoToGate is a horrible service and I regret not realizing this before I booked. The app and their website are not updated with the correct itinerary so they are essentially useless. Please do not book with them. They have scammed me out of $1400 because my first flight was delayed and caused me to miss all my other flights. I had to sleep in the airport waiting for them to rebook my tickets which they never did.

Stay away

Booked a Japanese airline ticket and had to cancel within 24 hours of booking. It was impossible to reach an agent with GO TO GATE. The wait takes so long and it has been several tries to get hold of an agent. In the end I could not cancel or get any refund now. Absolutely horrible experience. Stay away when it feels this is convenient and you can talk to someone in English. Stay away

Incorrect information

I only got the app because I was told we could check in with it, we couldn’t, so I ended up just using to stay up to date on the flight information. The only time I got a flight update it was incorrect and scared me. Then when our flight did change, it didn’t update. So having the app was actually worse than if I just didn’t.

Worst travel agency ever

This travel agency is so horrible and it’s employees who hang on you just because they don’t fell like helping. Like omg they are the worst and how they put you on hold for hours and just hang on you. I talked to at 15 different employees and they always either hang on you. Put you on hold or make up an excuses like there is an error with the system. All I want is to rebook my dam ticket like why is it so hard. Omg plz someone help meee.

FRAUD

Tickets was sold trough other fake website. No one is responding to any contact! Please be aware of this ticket sales app. Please make sure not to use SUPERSAVER- my ticket was purchased from there. Unfortunately, I am leaving the Russia and will have no chance to return my money. At least I can alert you so you think before using them. Never ever buy from them

They are the biggest scammer in booking industry. They wouldn’t refund your money even if you had canceled airline ticket with in 24 hours. Airlines have refunded the money but they wouldn’t give back to you. They are scamming the customers. There customer service is also terrible. We are going to file the lawsuit against them. If you have been scammed you may join us.

Worst site-never book with them

Absolutely the worst travel company/agent frauds in the business. Even if their offer is 99% lower than other sites, do not let them scam you because their booking is worthless. Days before your “flight”, they cancel and do not refund you. So they scam funds from you wit our offering any actual flights in return. They should be investigated.

I want my refund back!

Almost two hours on a phone call that they can’t even pick up. Luckily I didn’t pay too much but I can already tell they won’t ever get back to me based on all the negative reviews. Right after booking my flight it said that it should take up to 3 days for my flight information to be display but nothing ever happened.

Flight booking and services is just for animal and not for human

I booked a flight with gotogate and took Airhelp flight delay compensation plan. When my flight got canceled gotogate not able to rescheduled my flight and no information about delay compensation. Agent is constantly told me to Airline customer support. It is agents responsibility and particularly gotogate platform to provide hassle free travel. one of the Worst portal to book a flight.

Website prompts download the app but there is no service available just extra fees

Gotogate is clearly overwhelmed and not managing the Coronavirus at all. They’ve disabled customer service on their website. They prompt you to download the app for a better experience but you can only add additional features to a trip for additional fees. Service has either been disabled or this is a really poor app

Buggy?

I can’t find a desktop icon for this app on my iPhone 8+. I asked Siri to open the app and it would not open. I went to my App list and found it and then I could open the app. It doesn’t appear to be a lot of functionality.

Liars

Suspected something wrong when I couldn’t issue boarding pass. Called airline and they said GoToGate cancelled reservation. After 2 hours of waiting on phone to get a hold of GoToGate customer service they said all is good. Went to airport. Airline said nope; flight still cancelled. Good luck trying to get a hold of GoToGate again. Not worth the savings. Trust me.

Worst of them all

Bought a couple add ons on my flight and i signed up with the airline, i have covid insurance, reserve seating and all. In the airlines i have nothing in there but just the baggage. Tfffffff now i kept on calling but always stuck in this fckng sound they have. I am so close in breaking my phone so frustrated at whoever run this booking app.

Boarding passes sent 6 hours before flight?

Booked a flight for my mom. Since boarding passes aren’t available until 6 hours before the flight and her flight is at 6am I guess I’ll be waking up in the middle of the night to coordinate with her and send her her boarding pass. Unacceptable.

Don’t Book With Them

Worst customer service ever. I paid extra for the cancellation insurance then when I went to use it, they said NO REFUNDS. The insurance I bought says I have up until 24 to the flight to cancel with full refund. I asked for the refund 8 days in advance and was still told no.

Poor customer service

My flight got canceled by the airline and they kept some of the funds for fees of service rendered. They provide no service to me after my flight was canceled! No offer to rebook on a different airlines or anything. Spent hours on hold only to not get in contact with anyone. Stay away from Gotogate.

Fraudulent

This company is completely fraudulent been trying to get reimbursed for a canceled covid flight for over a year. Cannot get a hold of anyone and have not been receiving any updates as to when I’d be refunded. They keep saying I have to contact the airline, while the airline says I need to contact gotogate it’s a mess.
