Good app. I really like how you can msg the customer service and they reply within a business day. The only think i dont like is that they should safe the information for people that i save momey to..that way i dont have to re type it... I send money to my spouse very often and every single time i have to type the information. other than than good credit union.
Great for checking accounts, issues with mobile deposit
It seems that every other time I try to perform a mobile deposit something will time out. When I press the submit button a second time it will complete promptly just for me to find that both deposit attempts end up submitted. So far the duplicate has been caught every time but it makes me uneasy as I don’t want to be flagged for sending in too many duplicates. Outside of mobile deposit issues, the interface is much more responsive and clean than it used to be. Certainly fewer bugs overall.
Worked like a charm until the great Memorial Day account number change and now it won’t even open. I get a message to call the credit union, when I call the credit union they say I have to delete the app and to wait for my phone to decide it’s time to clear my cache before I reinstall, then it will work. I notice it was developed by Gtfcu, surely someone there has a better idea? Didn’t anybody test what all these changes were going to do to the app?
Your mobile check deposit feature constantly gives an error stating that it cannot detect an endorsement. I’ve tried having very bright light to normal brightness and it still doesn’t register the check. So that feature is useless. I have started using another banks app that works great for mobile depositing checks. Perhaps you should upgrade your mobile deposit feature to activate the light on the camera when taking pictures of the check. Until then I will take my business elsewhere.
I’ve banked with GTFCU for over a decade & am very pleased with all departments. Their staff at each location is friendly & helpful even when I ask a lot of redundant questions. I couldn’t be happier with them & I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new financial institution.
This is the worst banking app I have ever used and it actually makes me want to leave GTFCU for a different bank. It never works properly and only loads my transaction history maybe 1 out of every 5 times I log in. The search function is useless if you want to search for anything older than 30 days. I used to use Face ID to login and then it practically locked me out of my account - I had to contact technical support and was told they don’t recommend Face ID because it messes with the app. Why is it even offered as an option, then? Seriously, it needs work. I hate this bank.
This app has not been updated since April 2015!! What kind of a developer would neglect such an important app as this one like that? Can't believe it!! This app no longer works properly after the i0S 10 update. It allows me to sign on 1 time only but if I try again, it try's to sign on but then boots me out. Tho ONLY way I have been able to workaround this is to totally turn off my phone, wait about 15 sec. then re-boot. Then it will allow me to sign in, BUT only for 1 time, then the re-boot process has to start over again,etc,etc. Please, if you're going to offer an app, MAINTAIN it in a timely manner.
The app is great and the people in the San Marcos location are Amazing people. So helpful friendly. Joseph and Hernandez are so Awesome to work with they make my transactions so easy and answer every question I always have.
I wish I could say that the new app was amazing. I like the design when it works but I’m always stuck at the beginning loading screen. It takes forever to bring me to the user credential page. Then, when you finally log in it hardly ever works. I’ll close it out, go back in, and it says there was an error loading. It’s driving me crazy. The old app was obviously extremely outdated but at least it worked most of the time.
Overall works fine but it’s biggest purpose, mobile check deposit, is abysmal
Seems like it just needs a patch, but has not been fixed in years. The camera won’t give me the option to use flash, and the picture borders come out way bigger than when I’m taking the picture, making it hard to get the margins right. Lastly, when it tells you the photos aren’t good, you can see a preview of them to see which side needs to be redone. iPhone X btw
The app does not have a https security certificate built into the app for its images, which means that the ability to have a data breach is glaring. For something as sensitive as banking information, this is ridiculous. I understand the point of trying to roll out a new app design quickly, but this is just sloppy and poor coding Fix this before you have a crisis on your hands. People love to hack banks and this is just asking for it at this point
This application has stopped working on IOS 12.2. I can’t get it to do anything. I deleted it and downloaded again with same result. It reads my fingerprint but then gives no information. Just spins trying to load. This needs critical fix now.
the only thing I’ve even had difficulty with is the mobile deposit feature- and I REALLY need it right now... can’t access it at ALL. Ive called the bank, (as the app advised for support,) and they couldn’t help either...
This app works once then gives an error. I am considering pulling my money and going to a bank with a working app and one within 15 miles from where I live. The closest GTFCU branch is almost 30 miles from me. Someone needs to get it together and work on this app. I am sure you can afford to hire a technical person capable of fixing this app.
This app is terrible. I was excited when they said they would be coming out with a new app since the other one was so basic, but it only takes me to the login page probably one in every ten times I try to check my balance, it freezes up the rest of the time. No point in downloading until it’s fixed.
Constantly tells me an update requires me to log in again to enable Face ID and that this won’t happen again in the future. I guess it’s not a lie as the app wasn’t actually updated. It just constantly tells me that. And previous review was deleted.
Always locking me out, i have to delete and re-install once a week. I had no issues with the previous version. This latest one is complete garbage. Im gonna have to return to the older style of in-person banking or leave bank all together because there arent any branches near me
Touch ID worked when they first introduced it but now, possibly due to the pop-up ad another reviewer mentioned, it no longer works. Sent an email about the problem and they’ve never responded (or fixed the problem).
The new addition of the pop up ad on login causes the session to expire. I had to turn off the Touch ID login and simply enter my password. It was nice to be able to login with Touch ID, but no more.
Every time the app opens I have to see an ad for the banks services. If I wanted to find out about services I would look them up. I hate that I have to close the ad every time.
12/6 Updated Review: Deleting. Both the app and the website remain jumbled, and difficult to use. I’ve notified them here, as well as direct messaging. The app as well as the website are not auto formatted for any phone size. Extremely tedious and cumbersome. Please clean it up.
Ever since the app updated, I can’t log in to check my account. I’ve even tried the log in help option and it doesn’t work either. Please fix this problem!
I can only access my account about 1/3 of the times I try. It either says I’m timed out when I attempt to log in or it won’t go to the sign in page. This app is as useless more often than not.
Unbelievable. Old App was working just fine and now I can’t get into my account. Thanks GTFCU. After 20 years you have finally convinced me to move on due to this colossal technical failure. ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!!!
This app freezes trying to log in after the session has expired. It hangs even if you log out of the session. Don’t use this app if you are in a hurry. 🤨
