Grocery Outlet Bargain Market

I started shopping here about two years ago on a friend’s recommendation. Love this place! Their prices are so reasonable, unlike many of the old school, giant grocery chains. Not only do they offer a great selection of food items, they also have wonderful household goods, drugstore items, flowers, plants, and gift options. Literally every time I visit, I have to comb each and every aisle for any new finds as they always have such great values! I so appreciate being able to get staples like mayonnaise for $3 a bottle, unlike their competitors that are charging twice as much. The produce is wonderful, and the avocados are the best value I’ve ever found anywhere. I could go on and on singing their praises! Thank you Grocery Outlet!!!!!

Grocery Outlet is the market closest to where I live, so I go there frequently for basics that they have all the time. Which is not too many things. I resisted getting the app for a while. While they have $5 off $25 or even $5 off $25 promotions, none of the checkers seem to know how to use the app otherwise. The checkers at this location are all on the ball; if *they* can’t figure how to use it, who can?? It’s frustrating when companies create an app just to say they have an app, worse when they don’t instruct employees about how to use them. Add that to those flippin’ mile-long receipts (GO here is attached to CVS; maybe they can have a receipt length contest!) that the owner robotically says they “have no control over” (right. If they lost a dollar for every too-long, unreadable one, it’d be fixed in a day) and how 30% of the price tags are missing, let’s say that GO could be far less irritating.

This Grocery Outlet is very plentiful with a wide variety of items to shop for. I can not believe the many things that I pick up from this store: this includes shower heads/curtains, high quality name brand soaps, fresh produce, etc. Every time I come here it’s like an Easter egg hunt, once you find your golden eggs the price of the eggs are given to you for a bargain! I am very glad Grocery Outlet decided to create an online platform app using it to keep track of ads and sales along with gaining WoW points on your online barcode. Finally, customer service from employees of this store are phenomenal! Thanks Grocery Outlet for being our bargain spot for savings!

So I shopped at my Burbank grocery outlet tonight and overheard the cashier telling the customer ahead of me about this app and that he could get a five dollar coupon/discount for signing up. So when I got to the cashier I explained to him that I’ve never gotten my five dollars and I signed up a year ago. The cashier went on to explain to me that the app was brand new and that I must be confusing the app with emails. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m extremely tech savvy and I definitely know the difference between an app on my phone and an email that I get in my email account. But I could tell that he obviously didn’t know what he was talking about and I just said ‘oh OK I’ll check it out.’ Well I looked at the versions of this app and it’s not brand new! It was launched a year ago. So, I did know what I was talking about when I told him that I had signed up a year ago. So I’m still waiting for my five dollar discount. 🤷😡

In our house, we love shopping at our local Grocery Outlet (we lovingly call it “gross out”) and I’ve recently started using the app. For the most part it is great, but it is severely lacking in a search function. Our shopping strategy at G.O. is similar to Trader Joe’s, they’re probably not going to have everything you need, and even if you got something there in the past, there’s no guarantee it will be there next time. If I were able to search for items, I could better strategize for my shopping trips across the 3 or 4 different stores I might hit in a one or two week span. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk! 😂

I shop at Grocery Outlet in The DALLES !! It’s always an Adventure grabbing a hopefully great Cart to fill up with an Assortment of Needed items as well as the unexpected Items I know may not be there if I don’t get them right away !! As you most likely know you just NEVER know when or if that Special Item will be there your next trip to Grocery Outlet so I don’t even hesitate anymore just toss in the cart and down the next aisle I go !! I love shopping at grocery outlet and was super psyched about the app, but I’m slightly disappointed on the features that they offer. I entered my phone number at check out and my purchase history is not reflecting on the app, so there was some kind of glitch that didn’t register with my account. Also, I am unable to add my previous receipts onto my account to show my purchase history. Since I haven’t yet been able to add my receipts to view my purchase history I’m not exactly sure what that tab would look like, but I would love the feature to be able to export my receipt into an excel or sheet file. Looking forward to more updates in bug fixes in the future but I think it’s a great idea.

If 2.5 stars were available I would give it. So far all I have done was open the app. I live in San Diego, CA and this app is useless. It is only available in certain states. I read reviews and thought that CA would have been added. I live in a state where groceries can be super expensive. Having access to special coupons through the app would be handy. I don’t wanna spend funds on printer ink just to print coupons. Grocery Outlet itself is a great store, the app designers should remember that people in CA will have use for the app. Giving neutral because I haven’t been able to use the app. I don’t wanna give 1 star or 5 stars until I see that my state is added and I can use the full app. It will seem silly to review an app I didn’t use, but I hope it gets the attention of the devs.

A search function would take this app to 5 stars, but without that feature it’s incredibly limited and time consuming. I love that you can build a shopping list and know what’s in stock before going into the store, a game changer for a store like this. Plus extra discounts? Wins However, without a search function the app cannot function as intended because there a so few item categories that each category has a massive amount of items with no way to sort. I wanted to see what iced coffee they had, scrolled beverages for several minutes and still didn’t get to the end of find iced coffee. Again, this app needs a search function. More categories would also be helpful. Sorting ability could be useful in some situations.

This is the best store for me as I eat a special diet for gut health and diabetes so I need sugar free no artificial ingredients and quality items. Sometimes I find Hawaiian sugar free ice tea under $1 each! Different cheeses like goats chesse. I cannot buy grass fed org milk but I get bacon no sugar no hormones no preservatives which is so yummy. Breads for diabetics made well with grains and vegetables. This store has a place in my heart! Also if you drink they have great selection of wines and beers. The prices are much lower than regular stores! Best specialty store around you are sure to find a specialty almonds or peanuts or pistachios walk all the Isles for sure you’ll find something you cannot find in Ralph’s or Albertsons!

I think the grocery outlet is the best for savings. in this economy it is very hard to save on groceries. I have found that the grocery outlet is the best store to get a bargain on vegetables, canned goods, cereal and most products. I shop at the wood haven branch. The checkers are very friendly and helpful and sometimes I am unaware there is a coupon and the checker always reminds me and tells me about the savings. The store manager sometimes does the checkout and she is most helpful. I hope they open more stores in the bucks county area and in cape May county area. Thank you. Marita Crawford

Whether it’s on the way back from work or a lucky day off, the shopping experience is always worth the trip. Friendly service, always glad to be of assistance, treasures to be found, great prices on name brands, new items to try, the layout is perfect. Everyone should have a Grocery Outlet nearby. I send pictures to coworkers. I tell my sister in law in Tampa about the bargains and the meals I make with the weekly treasures. Unfortunately they don’t have one YET.

This is the ONLY shopping app I’ve ever used that does not have a search function. The inventory that does show in the app is NOT an accurate reflection of the (any?!) store’s inventory. It feels like they tried to roll their own app on the cheap and decided the consumer doesn’t need BASIC accessibility features. Be prepared to scroll until your hand gets tired and NOT find what you’re looking for. If you’re disabled and can’t wander the aisles to find what you’re looking for, you may want to shop somewhere else, because you can’t do that from the app. Throw some REAL money at this project and treat your customers better. The UX is abysmal.

So glad Grocery outlet store opened up in my neighborhood! I love this store they have a lot of good finds you never know what you’re going to find:) Great selection and prices on all items. Store located on the main street of Bear Valley Road in Victorville. They have a phone app which gives you coupons to save even more money! A few years back, my son from NorCal was down for the Holidays and we were going to go shopping and he suggested Grocery Outlet and I have been a loyal customer ever since. I am health conscious and a frugal-ish person so I love the variety of fresh , frozen , deli , toiletries and kitchen/ household and other seasonal items. Pretty much anything you need and always a good deal without having to trudge thru a huge supermarket.

I do love this grocery store! The employees and manager are wonderful folks. So helpful and friendly. The inventory of items is reliably good for my shopping list: plenty of organic options, good selection of staples, I always find niceties for our guest house like chocolates and beer and sparkling water. And every so often I find really cool things like venison, anchovies and organic olive oil. I always start my shopping at this store!

Having been a GO customer since the 70s when the nearest (and now redone!) was by the San Jose Fairgrounds and there were tons of dented cans and no produce, fresh dairy, or deli whatsoever. Today, decades later, my nearby Alma store carries everything I need to avoid evil giant chain. GO’s buyers help save the planet and each store is independently owned. KUDOs to the Alma store manager and staff who keep fresh affordable options available to everyone they’re near!

This app is useless for majority us. You can only use this in certain cities in Oregon and Idaho. There are grocery outlets across the nation. Many states have a grocery outlets. Please change this option. Would love to join. And I too am from the San Diego area. We have so many grocery outlets here so I don’t understand why it’s only limited to ten cities in only two states!

I work at a GO. We only recently got our store added to the app. Apparently, they are still adding stores by county down the west coast. I’m super new to out, but customers seem to like that they can make a shopping list and they get random coupons. For all you who campy find your store, give it a few weeks/months. I heard about it 6 months ago and only last week was my store added into the app

This store is run well and you can get all the necessities but if you search you can also get the best deals on really wonderful products. I love trying new things that I wouldn’t otherwise have a chance to try. I walked out with a cart of food for the same price I would pay for a grocery bag or two at any other store (yes, even Lidl).

I’m a 99 Cents Store transplant who visited your store for the first time last week. I was encouraged by the selection and prices, but disappointed to see that your app does not have a product search function or the ability to scan product UPC codes (as the 99 app did). There were several items at your store which did not have accompanying shelf price stickers, so I was unable to check (no employees were handy). Thank you.

… is it just me or do the receipts have QR codes on them and no way to scan them? I was quite pleased to see there’s a new way for me to communicate with my lord and savior grocery outlet; bargain market, but rather dismayed when I was subsequently denied access into god’s virtual kingdom. My assumption was that I could scan the receipt and get access to some kind of point system, specific deals, or something nice. It would be cool to see these things actually implemented.

Now that this app is launched in my area, im so excited to see what each grocery outlet has to offer. I am also glad I knew about it before the wine sale to download, there is early access 2 days before. I also like that I can see how much I saved on the app, its always nice to see how much I am saving while shopping at my favorite store!

I am a shopper for Grocery outlet for years, I am in California. I can not link to the store close to my area, the app only allow me to link for shops 400 miles away. Fix it please, I tried and tried and tried. I will change my rating when this issue gets fixed.

Great app with nice deals to get an idea of what you want before you get to the store. Only thing that makes it bad is that you can’t search items so it slows you down a little bit but if that’s not a problem the location is bad. I live in SoCal with location on but it only shows me stores in Idaho. In order to look at the deals for the store closest to me I have to do a finesse in the settings to look which is sort of a hassle. Fix those 2 issues and this app will fly.

Hmm how about a price scanner. After all tags are not always in place so why do I have to guess. Or bother a cashier who has 7 other people who are checking out. In the past month I can’t tell you how many items I’ve put back because I don’t want to walk to the Front and get a price check. Well over a hundred and who know what in price.

I usually looked at weekly flyers on my iPads large screen before going to store. Now I can’t see the flyer on the website and must use the app with tiny UI. I’m now much less likely to check the weekly deals and therefor less likely to visit the stores. Edit: I will no longer go to grocery outlet until they put the weekly sales on the website again. I’m also checking the website less since it’s been 2+ weeks since it was removed; so it may be a few months before I realize the weekly ads are back if it ever comes back.

I really wish entering your phone number at check out or scanning your receipt after shopping was an option. At the store I frequent, I have poor phone connection, and sometimes am unable to load my app to scan my barcode. I enter my phone number in hopes of it doing something, but it’s useless. Hopefully these features can be implemented.

Very disappointed that being able to scan codes from the app is sketchy. Which means that you can’t use coupons or even tag your purchase with the app at checkout. My $5 off coupon reward will expire before i can get back to the store. Not a good introduction to the “app.” Being that there is no contact in the app to report issues, you are left with calling your local store to report issues. You can imagine how fruitful that would be.

I had walked into a few Grocery Outlet stores and walked out empty handed. Then I started looking more carefully, and oh the great prices on many items. Some stores don’t quite understand the importance of the Certification Program and the value of organic integrity. I hope they hurry up and learn how important this is.

If you’re lucky enough to live in Washington State then you can use this app to access some digital coupons. I already used a $5 off $25 coupon and it looks like I have a presale access to the 20% off wine sale. Great to have discounts on top of already low prices.

WHEN there is a search function added I would give this app five stars — this is the age of databases — there is no reason why it can’t be done. Especially when I need to search five GOBM stores to find what I want. Yes there may be inventory counting problems, just put a warning on it saying stock can fluctuate quickly. Also, even with the opportunistic buying model that GOBM depends upon, it should still be possible to request a note be sent to the buyers to please stock a certain item if it’s available.

I love their store and their app fast and easy to use. You get all the updates with discounted prices. Their store is always clean and organized. Never had any problems with anything I bought there. I recommend you get their app and enjoy shopping at Grocery Outlet. Love this store.

Reasonable prices, huge selection of fresh food, frozen food, canned items, household, pet, and cleaning supplies, just to name a few! I’ve been shopping here since they opened and have saved $$$ compared to other stores in the area. Staff are helpful, friendly, and outgoing. This is my #1 go to place!

I Love Grocery Outlet!❤️As a keeping a roof over our head single mom, Grocery Outlet was a god send. I have many very fond memories of shopping experiences there. I get a thrill when ever I see one popped up in some town we are going through. I feel like I am not alone in my excitement of the Big G.O.

Disaster of an app. No search function. It’s not like they have to start from scratch and figure out how to make a grocery app consumers like; there are multiple well rated grocery apps already out there as examples. Some “genius” also thought it was a good idea to launch with only WA stores while making the app available for everyone… Oh well. Wish them luck and hope they fix this app because GroceryOutlet’s can be great places to shop but the lack of a decent app makes alternative stores more convenient.

I’m a huge fan of this app as a concept. I’m chronically ill, and knowing if what I need or want is in store will make me more likely to come in. I’m sure the same is true for others like parents! Here are my critiques to take the app to the next level! - Add a search feature (echoing others here!) - Allow for zoom on the photos. I know it is unlikely you’ll be able to list ingredients, but being able to look at the labels in the photo up close would be rad. - Clarify savings number. I’ve been shopping with y’all for a while but my number is $0. Does the count start now? Thanks for your hard work!

It’s fun to walk the isles and find all the good prices. The people are friendly. Even the shoppers seem to be happy in the store. I always tell my family and friends to get things at Grocery Outlet because they will save money and find specials. We are so fortunate to have a Grocery Outlet in Clearlake, California. WE HAVE THE-BEST STORE IN LAKE COUNTY, CA!!!

Grocery Outlet is wonderful. I am really into healthy foods, fruit and veggies. These stores have a great collection of things, nuts, dried fruits, healthy and gluten-free products, low salt and non dairy items. I always find much more than I am looking to buy. The prices are great. Thank you Grocery Outlet!

Find huge savings at GO. What’s really cool is when you see brands from the past. I mean they still exist, but more in the mid west to east coast. But GO gets the deal and brings it back to the west cost. Also at axing prices. I’ll spend $118 bucks have about six bags full and save ?160. Can’t beat it.

Weekly updates are too much. Can't even use the app because I keep having to update it, so if I'm at check out I can't even use to get my coupons, or have checker scan. Trying to use this app and haven't even been able to use any coupons or have my shopping visits applied while at check out. Very frustrating, I'm a busy Mom and discovering I can't even use this app when I need it cause of the constant updates is very annoying.

I’ve been to all the grocery stores in ceres before GO opened and can honestly say that GO Ceres is the best store to shop. Besides their products and prices, they truly have the best customer service experience I’ve ever been witness of! I can’t rave about them enough:) so happy GO is here!

We are senior citizens and have been shopping at the Grocery Outlet for terrific values for several years. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is always clean and well stocked. We especially enjoy getting a senior discount on Wednesday. We think the Grocery Outlet is simply wonderful.

No Search Function renders this App completely useless- You cannot even create a Shopping List or see what they have in-stock. To delete your Account, they want you home address, which was not required to sign up for the App. I just deleted the App. They should model their App after Safeway! I love Safeways App, I save so much money and time and they also have Meal Planning Recipes, which is just a bonus. Don’t bother Installing this App, it literally does nothing.

I have use it from March 1 and only my purchase history from day 1, nothing else. What ever cashier try to scan barcode on my phone, it’s getting negative beep. Maybe it’s issue with app or luck of training for cashier.

I really appreciate this store. Love getting these wonderful deals. The people who work there are very nice. Makes shopping fun. I shop at both local stores. They compliment each other. We’re very lucky to have both. We really needed this. ❤️

Love grocery outlet and appreciate having a digital way to keep receipt copies and enter the savings sweepstakes is awesome. All in all it's a good app, but one thing would make it great! PLEASE add a search option...to scroll through each category to find one product makes no sense. Fix it so you can search by product name and it will be a 5 star app!

As soon as you sign up you get a $5 coupon! The app tracks your savings and frequently sends you coupons! We even got an extra 10% off during the wine sale! This app is GOLD!

This store has great pricing on the things they do carry, which is less than most chain supermarkets. It’s nice to have the ads and be able to make a shopping list on the app however there is no search bar. If it’s not on some kind of special it seems not to show up in the app. Makes for an incomplete shopping list. Good for weekly specials though.

I luv the products and items the store carries. From housewares/pets/gardening/wines/ Good prices. I just wish they could give coupons that we could use especially now that I shop there more and we got the app too.
