We have been customers since Grow financial was McDill credit union. we had a less than stellar credit rating and a lady at your branch on Gandy Boulevard helped us build our credit and do better! and she helped us with money one time when we needed it for a family situation. Her first name was Natalia and last time I heard she was in the main bank downtown Tampa if she still with you. I got three of our children to switch over to bank with y’all years ago. They still do 😎.We moved to Tallahassee our hometown over four years ago and have stayed with y’all but we sure wish you had a branch up here. Thank you for your work !
When trying to set Savings Goals, there is a bug that keeps occurring when setting or adjusting a goal. Both the goal amount and target date state optional, but it will not allow you to create without setting one. Not only that but putting any number amount in the goal amount will produce a message “Please enter a non-zero amount” and will not allow you to create or modify a saving goal in the tracker. Frustrating for budgeting! I had accidentally messed up a goal while modifying the name, not noticing that it had switched the original goal amount from 1000 to 10 and put the rest of those funds into the next goal down. Hopefully this can be fixed soon :(
I use this app all the time, but the latest update is annoying. It seems that a couple hours is now “a while since you’ve logged in” and I have to use my password again. Before the update, that was not an issue. I figure if in want to glance at my accounts, I should be able to without being asked for my password constantly. Other than that, works like a charm. I’m updating my review to say that I received a response from the developer stating that they are aware of the situation, and are fixing it. That’s awesome. Thank you!
I’ve spent the last week including working with customer service trying to log on. After entering my new password the next screen for log in to online banking I get: ‘Server Error’. I’ve tried using three different desktop (Windows and IOS), iPhone and iPAD. Also, different browsers. Even with the great help from customer service kept getting ‘Server Error’. I’m sure the problem must be on your side. Please fix your server issues so I can log into my Grow account.
The bank itself has amazing customer service and does their job, but their app makes me want to leave. The app only even opens to let me view my balance about 15% of the time and only when connected to wifi, otherwise I get frozen on the loading screen. This version of the app is 4 years old. I remember the first time you revamped your app to this version and I was so excited at that time the app functioned great (then), but now it's ancient and doesn't work. Even when I do get the app open, it's always a question of whether it will accept a transfer or a mobile deposit without freezing or closing out. I just want to be able to check my balance or deposit my checks without having to open and close the app 10+ times. In conclusion: Four years ago you updated your app and made it much better. You haven't updated it since then and technology has progressed rapidly. For a bank that has so many TVs and iPads in their office you'd think their mobile banking would be a strong suit. Please just update the app.
The only thing I can find wrong with the Grow Financial app is the inability to lock a debit or credit card within the app. A separate app is required for these functions. Other than that its straight forward and easy to use. Been with Grow since 1994 when it was MacDill.
I am this close || to moving back to BoA because of this “new and improved” app. What was the problem with the old one? That it worked? I use the App primarily to make mobile deposits. That has become virtually impossible with the new app. Either time out or couldn’t verify or some other excuse. Not occasionally, ALWAYS. Here I am again today going for my third attempt to capture a check and get it deposited. This is not worth the hassle. I may as well just schlep down to the branch and deposit. Fix the app or fire the developer or bring back old reliable. BTW, the website is also flaky as a flower child. Why did you have to fix something that was not broken?
New update has everything looking HUGE. Do you think all your users are 80 and in need of super large text or something?? Also, for some reason the new app updates information much slower than the last. In the last app purchases, deposits, any kind of activity updated right away. In this one it’s taking minutes. I withdrew some cash and an automatic payment went through causing my account to go negative instead of declining it for NSF. I shouldn’t have to check my account every 5 minutes for my activity to be updated. FIX THIS!!!!
I actually love the new look! Easy to use! Love the automatic check deposit feature where I no longer have to click to take the pic, just align and that’s it! I do however have a suggestion, with accounts that have business and personal with Grow, there should be an option to have it all on one screen instead of logging out and then into the other, that would be an awesome update!!
I would like to see credits be listed in bold type and green color and debits listed in normal type in red color. The italics are unnecessary. I would also like to single step auto log-in without having to input my long ridiculous password every time I would like to have a quick at-a-glance look at my account. I understand the security features are necessary but I would like to be able to personalize my settings as I wish. The old app worked perfect for me. Now it’s more of a hassle than a benefit.
At least once a month I am required to log back in. What’s the point of Face ID if I constantly have to re-enter all of my information? Currently it won’t even accept my info as correct so I am completely kicked out. I am switching banks over this. The bank itself has done absolutely nothing for me after 6 years if being a customer. They make me jump through hoops just to use the actual branch. With the app being garbage as well, it’s a no brainer to find someplace else that let’s you access your account when you need to without creating problems.
I used to be able to customize the bottom menu (I want quick access to savings goals and do not use bill pay) and now I cannot figure out how to do this. I should not have to drill down into a menu to view my goals quickly. Maybe I am missing it but I also cannot figure out how to speak to someone about these issues. All links direct to the general bank homepage.
App could be a bit more user friendly and carry other banking features such as Zelle. Grow is one of the few banks not having the Zelle application. It also does not provide credit score. Customer service is hard to reach and some not very helpful. Otherwise pretty good.
Omg, Grow thanks for making this change. It is the 💩! On a serious note, it has such a better look and it’s easy to navigate so far!!!! Love, love how the transfers save previously completed transactions. #appreciated

This app is terrible. There are significantly less features than other credit unions. We were with GFCU since MacDill CU but they have less branches, and their app is weak. Also GFCU is consistently hacked and phished. My family has moved on and you shouldn’t put ANY of your personal information into this app unless you want to lose it
Having a terrible time with the check deposit feature. Says can’t authenticate or unexpected error and throws me out completely. Then when i log in again and try again it says i am logged out, or it logs me out for “security purposes “. Very frustrating!!!
The new update is so different and such a big change it makes it hard to use/get used to. The layout makes it difficult to understand whereas the last update was easy to view and mentally organize. I appreciate the improved security but the update is frustrating to get used to.
When using my iPhone 7 I get thick black bars across the top and bottom of the app as if I were using an iPhone 4. Overall the new app is ok, but this is a huge bummer. I’m sure it’s a big but it’s quite annoying.
Haven’t been able to login to the app since the newest update. If I put the incorrect information in, it tells me that it’s wrong but with the correct information absolutely nothing happens. It just stays on the login screen.
