This credit union has the most authentic employees that I have ever met. They treat you like family with loving and caring respect and service. They make themselves available to you and make it known that serving you is therir number one reason for being there. Inservare the reason they are there. Ng you, they are professional in the work they do and you never question that professionalism because their friendly family like service meets you first at the door! Th is is a wonderful credit union because of that and also because of all the events they have and programs that make available to you. This is one website that I check just to find out what are they offering me next based on the email they just sent. Love it! Try it! If you do, you will say good bye to banks and any other credit union. I did and I haven’t loooked back!
Our family and extended family have been members at GCEFCU for around 25 years, and they have NEVER let us down. As new generations begin, they also have become members. This is where we refer everyone. Loyalty is everything and GCEFCU is loyal to their members. You cannot beat their offers, discounts or courtesy. We had tried other banks and credit unions prior to signing on with them and I’m glad we did, because we KNOW the difference. Never leaving as long as they are around. With them opening more locations it’s now easier to join as well as refer. Don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it.
I have been a member of Gulf Coast Educators’ Federal Credit Union for approximately 55 years! Never in all that time have I been treated with anything other than the utmost courtesy and respect. 😊Every problem I have brought to them has been resolved and dispatched immediately. Always when I walk out their front door, I am relieved and thankful that I do business with the nicest of well-trained people. Both my adult children grew from savings accounts we established in their names as children to account holders once they started making their own salaries. Few businesses in town measure up to the standards of GCEFCU. You won’t regret entrusting them with your finances! 👌
GCEFCU is the most courteous and generous credit union I’ve ever banked with. Highly appreciate the friendly & efficient customer service, security, and respect given to members. It has become so rare for an organization to deliver such a high standard of service in this day in age. One thing I would suggest for improvement would be to make it easier to access fraud alert and card locking services through the application. If the fraud alert system flags a transaction as suspicious/potential fraud they will call or text you for verification, but it would be easier to manually confirm or refute flagged transactions through the application in the event that the call is missed or the text doesn’t go through. Big thanks to the team members, staff, and employees that make GCEFCU the quality service it is today. 10/10 recommend!!!!
I have been at other credit unions and Gulf coast has been there for me and my family thru the rough times. I wouldn’t trade this Financial institute for nothing in the world. They have a remarkable loan officer Joe who greets you with open arms and put himself in your situation he understand everything you talk to him about. He is not only a loan officer he is considered a friend. We need more people like that in todays world. Overall this credit union has the best staff. Keep up the good work thank you
Most parts of app are good but mobile deposit needs improvement
The app is fairly good for the most part, but GCEFCU needs to improve the mobile deposit piece. Approximately half of the time I deposit a check through the mobile deposit component, it is rejected without any explanation. I then have to go back in and try depositing the check again. The check is then typically accepted for deposit the second time. I make no change to the endorsement so I have no idea why the check is rejected the first time. Either more consistency is needed or a specific explanation as to why a check is rejected for deposit.
I have a total of six cars financed through them! The last two was a challenge but they never gave up. Time have change and banking have to follow certain guidelines. I love my credit union because they will literally go to war with trying to find that loan that will fix within your budget. Thank you much for helping me.
The only negative is direct deposit does not hit until 10 on payday when I use to get my deposit the day before but since I switched to the credit union my bills are delayed. My wife and daughter gets a day ahead with the credit union but I don’t. I wish there were more branches available
The only thing I dislike is not being able to view my statements. I have gone into the Summerwood location twice for assistance and the problem continues. I have now been asked to go in again because I still can’t view them. 🙁
I’ve been banking with Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit union for over thirty years . I’ve never had bad or rude service. Every one is polite and extremely helpful. I’m always greeted by very friendly people. I’ve never had bad or rude experience in the drive through. I’m extremely happy with GCEFCU.
This app is extremely convenient and intuitive. It gives you everything you need in a snapshot. I’ve used this app on iPhone and Samsung and it has not disappointed. The facial recognition with iPhone is super fast as well using the finger print scanner on my note 9. Thank you Gulf Coast!!!

The app is great for members to conveniently monitor their accounts online. Oftentimes I have to remove the app from my phone because it freezes or I’m unable to access my account due to issues with the app. Therefore, I find myself downloading the app again. Other than that, this credit union is awesome and the customer service is excellent!
U live the fact the whenever suspicious activity is happening my card I’m notified immediately and the prompt customer service is too notch, best bank ever, thank you.
It would help to be last 4 digits of the account number by the name. I have 3 different Chase Credit Cards and I can’t ever tell which one I need to apply payment to on the app. I have to use my computer and go to the full website to pay.
I’m new to banking with GCFCU and I cannot be happier. The staff is wonderful and very helpful and the recent app update is great. The only thing I’d ask for is that the app supported the dark mode option to have a dark background.
Thanks for investing in tools to make online banking so easy. Love the connection to Zelle and the ease of the mobile app for checking balances, paying bills, etc.
GCEFCU has the best customer service. I’ve been a member over 20 years and have never had a complaint. The app is always current or ahead of current technology.
