We have been I-Bank customers for years and they have always been responsive to our needs. They have been vigilant to keep all our accounts safe. All three of our children are now customers as well!!
My app has not been able to show any transactions for weeks. I’ve called, live chatted, emailed, and am told they’re “working on it”. Also was told I wasn’t the only one. Able to log in but then shows error message. Absolutely unacceptable.
It takes sometimes up to a week for you to be able to see your transactions. You never know how much you actually have in your account. Everyone else I know has real time technology with their bank not sure why ibank can't get the same.
I transferred from bank of America because of all the fees. I like the feel of this bank, but it's a bit behind the times. I thought in 2012 everyone would be on the same page as far as how debits and deposits are reconciled in your accounts. When I had bank of America and I used my debit card, the debit showed up immediately. Not at I-bank. I have used my debit card on a Monday and not seen the debit for almost 10 days! It's insane! I don't record my debit card transactions. It's 2012, I don't have that kind of time. Wake up independent bank. Also if you transfer from one account to another it's not an immediate transfer. You have to wait, also make sure it's before 5pm!
When I downloaded this app and fire it up from the home "account access" screen, I get an error message that "we can't display your information at this time. Try again later." It was only when I went to the Contact Us>Go to Website screen that I got to a login screen that works (it's different from the app start up screen). The support link in iTunes goes to the main bank home page, with no obvious links to app support. When I finally tracked down mobile banking FAQ under customer service, the link to the sign in page in the instructions also takes you back to the main bank home page: "From your mobile device simply open a browser and enter Independent Bank's homepage by clicking here to access the bank mobile web banking home page." It's an app. You shouldn't have to open a browser. The correct sign in screen should come up on opening. I think the online banking instructions are mixed up with the mobile banking instructions. It's very confusing.
Useful application. The mobile deposit aspect could be improved for ease of use, however. It takes several tries to line up the photo properly. I've used USAAs online deposit for several years, so that is what I'm comparing my experience to.
Fast, allows me to pay bills from my phone, and easy to navigate. Would be nice to see what pending charges you have. UPDATE: Continues to be a very reliable app that allows me to check on balances fast and even deposit checks! Now they just need to integrate Touch ID and give me a way to quickly find my checking account# & routing#.
Why do I have to keep putting my username and password in? I used to be able to use my thumb to access my account. Why can I know longer use that method?
