I shop at store 414, and they don’t offer curbside. That’s ok with me though, because I prefer to do my own grocery shopping. I consider it a form of exercise for me! What would be a good enhancement to the app would be an in store grocery shopping list that tells you what isle the item is in! Other grocery stores have that feature and I absolutely love it. I like Ingle’s stores better though because of the quality of the produce, veggie & meats! Please add this feature and make my store available to shop at even though they don’t offer curbside. Thanks!
I’ve used worse apps, sure, but the reason I use an app is for groceries is to ease the hassle of grocery shopping, which this app does not do. It’s clunky to use, please hire someone who can at least make it at least a smidgeon easier to navigate. You’ve got the perfect theme of being a grocery store, which usually solves a lot of UI questions that seems to have not even been asked when making this app. And I’m sure there’s an easy way a proper programmer could get your search to function without so much finagling by the customer. And the biggest thing that drops this down to one star is it doesn’t save your card info properly. It doesn’t save it at all for the next time you wanna use it; no that is not even what I’m talking about. I actually don’t mind that. I mean, if you go out of the prompt of putting in your card info, it will sometimes either be wrong from what you typed, or just not be put in at all. So you click to send your order in and it tell you it’s the wrong CVV or wrong address or whatever it feels like changing back to default. If I wanna get groceries with less hassle, I also do not want to have to worry about calling my bank when it thinks it’s fraud, after the app spit back my attempt to give them money one too many times, due to developer incompetence.
I’ve been hoping for over a year that my Ingles store would offer curbside and FINALLY!!! It’s the easiest way to buy groceries and my store #457 Griffin GA has the greatest employees running this service. I’ve had so much help from them and even the manager went out of his way to help me find a product that I couldn’t find on the app. If you haven’t tried curbside, you don’t know what you’re missing. Try it and I promise, your never go back in the store again!! Thanks Ingles…
Hard to enter payment info, if number is wrong you need to re-do your entire name etc. for some reason it did not like my number so I had to input all my personal info 4 x. Also, no place to put your ingles card number on the app. I previously did curbside so no idea if this info was saved or what. Search did not work well if you used a brand name, search needs some help as looking through a lot of soups in no fun when you know they only have 3 of the brand you like. But I amimpressed with the fact you have inventory on there. Hard to tell if tuna in water or oil without. Opening which is tedious
This app works but it is not as tech savvy as some of the other online order portals. It doesn’t save my information (card number, address, etc) for future orders, which is a pain. It also doesn’t have a good search function. You have to search for the exact item to find things and spelling has to be precise. Otherwise the app can’t find the item. Other portals have smarter search functions that will find the item and other similar items within a single search. This app also doesn’t have up to date item availability so you never know if your item is out of stock until pickup time.
Thought was getting an app could search for items and in store location of said items. However, renaming “Ingles Pick Up Only” might better serve. A preference for most hands on, in store shoppers no doubt would appreciate will be adding functionality so we can actually know what’s in stock and where located for those who wish to shop for themselves. QR scanners are helpful and useful. Kroger, Publix, Walmart, Costco, Sam’s, BJ’s, Sprouts etc all offer full service including pick up through their apps so the tech exists. For now no Ingles app for me. Will sometimes continue to shop there though it is a distant drive for me. Best of luck. Continued success. And please work on that app. Thanks
I’m typically not one to take the time to write a review, however, I feel as though I owe it to a Ingles and their expertise in being able to set up a concise quick and efficient method of online grocery order and pick up. Instead of paying a delivery fee stock fee, and other hidden fees through DoorDash or Uber, or even Instacart, Ingles has set up their own system that offers the ease and accessibility, I, as a working, professional, and mom crave.
I can’t say enough good about Bill & Kris at the Skyland store- they do my curbside shopping for me & have been for over 2 years now. They care about the choices they make & are always very accommodating about substitutions for items not available. This service has been so helpful to me as I take care of my 95 year old mother & try to be careful about exposure to illnesses so I’m not taking anything to her that could make her ill.
I love the service itself, but the app is unbearable. It is impossible to narrow down categories beyond the main ones, so I have to scroll through every single offering in pantry or frozen food or household or whatever to hopefully find what I want. The search feature is broken as every single item I search for (coffee, for example) comes up as no results found. Under the Reorder tab, I can access past orders but instead of being able to see the items to choose what to reorder the app tries to add every item to my list again and check out.
I like that you can search for items and see what aisle they are on in the store. What I don’t like is the security features of this app. There needs to be ways to change your account information within the app. To change your email, password, and payment methods. It would be more secure if you could add 2 factor authentication to your app. I want my information kept safe and private, especially my financial information and I think it would be more secure if these features were added.
I have been using curbside for a few months now and can say that it is SO MUCH BETTER than Walmart!! They listen to your request and check produce for spoiling, just like I would in the store. They text or call if they run into an issue so they can get what you want. They are fabulous. Yes, Ingles may be a little higher, but their quality and customer service make it worth it!
The app takes some getting use to. It isn’t very user friendly if you are trying to get a complete grocery order done. I’m sure it’s ok if you only want to get a couple of items. For instance if you type in Apple’s you would think you would only get the fruit but instead you get everything that is apple flavored/ scented and the fruit. So you then have to scroll through everything to get to the fruit you are looking for. It’s just something I think could be better.
I’ve had excellent experience using Ingle’s pickup service! The ordering process is simple and convenient, and my items are ready on time. They carefully select fresh produce and high-quality products, paying attention to detail. The staff is friendly, and professional when bringing the groceries to my car. This service is a game-changer for me for saving time. Highly recommend!
The curbside shoppers at a the Cleveland Ingles always do a great job with my order and are super friendly and provide excellent service. I love the convenience… literally getting back hours in my week… and enjoy the extra curbside perks. Keep doing what you’re doing… friendly service makes all the difference.
This app is very helpful and relatively easy to use but it would be wonderful if we could save payment preferences. Some folks who use curbside aren’t always able bodied so reducing the need for address, payment etc. input each time would be very helpful. Also, Global preference like “always allow” or “never allow” substitutes would also be helpful. Nice work - please keep making it better!
Downloaded excited to use it but as it turns out every store in every city around me is on the app. How is it that my town has not one but two ingles and neither store is listed in the app? Not going to drive a two towns over to go to the next closest ingles. Don’t even need it for the ordering. Would just like to use it for making a grocery list and possibly have it tell me what isle things are on. Oh well I’ll keep doing what I’m doing now. Shopping at ingles when I don’t need much but using Kroger and their app to organize the isles when I have our weekly shopping trip.
Not really a helpful app unless your store supports Curbside. My local store does not, unfortunately, I wish it would upgrade/update to a Super Ingles. It would be nice to have an app that you can peruse and see what that particular store has and the cost. Another helpful feature within the app would be to tell the aisle the product is located. Products are constantly changing where they were previously located. :-). Walmart does this. Honestly, Walmart has the best mobile app out there when it comes to being a guide for the shopper. I do appreciate what Ingles is trying to do.
The customer service at Seneca Ingles grocery pick-up is beyond reproach! The shoppers go above and beyond to fill orders and make sure that you get what you need! I save so much time and never worry about the quality of selections. Rusty and Sasha do an especially amazing job!
The app should be edited so you don’t have to put in the exact name of what something is called for it to pull up. Example: crispy fried onions…..if it isn’t put into the search bar exactly like that, it doesn’t come up. Also, we should be able to see the items in a previous order ON the app instead of having to go to email to check it. Overall good service and saves me a lot of time.
I LOVE that ingles has curbside now and have zero complaints about the pick up process. My issue is with the app. Simple changes such as under ‘filters’ being able to select produce, frozen, dairy etc to more quickly narrow down selections would be great. Also having the option to save credit card info rather than having to go hunt down my card and enter the info every time.
I don’t know if it’s just my location. But the having to re-enter my credit card every time I want to order groceries is annoying. Today I forgot a few things and added them to my order and instead of readjusting the amount and charging my card like every other grocery store does- it canceled my order. My shopper messaged me and told me I would have to repurchase my entire order to have include the stuff that was added.
I never have trouble with apps, but this one is really difficult to figure out. There doesn’t seem to be any concrete way to search for items. Some use the brand name, some the type of item, and some things “aren’t found” and then I find them under something you’d never expect. I would probably buy more groceries here if it didn’t take so long to find everything.
If you click on an item and then go back to menu it takes you back to item number one and not the place you were. Enter something in search engine i.e.: dairy and it says not found. Credit card was not saved from previous orders. I type one incorrect number on credit card. Go back to fix it all my personal information has to be added again. Almost not worth the hassle.
I use this occasionally to try to “save time” but it usually takes me longer to find items in the app than it would to just go to the store myself. The look up feature isn’t accurate (example: searching “oat milk” does not bring up the bran I like; I have to search the brand name). And I know there are items in store that aren’t listed here.
Often times, I will use the search feature within the app and have even done a copy and paste and the item will not pull up in the list. I know the item is in the store but I have to think of 5 different ways to search to find the item before I can order. Seriously frustrating.
The app just like the website does not recognize or include auto complete It also does not recognize words that are close if they’re off by one letter It’s a game trying to figure out how things are keyed in at the store because what someone would typically type for example Sargento shredded cheddar cheese does not come up Sargento cheese comes up and then you have to scroll further Also, the scanning of the credit card does not work properly and after three attempts had to manually put it in Would prefer to be able to pick up today like I can do at Walmart, but same day hours are very limited, which is why we don’t shop at Ingles as often as we do Aldi or Walmart both are more user-friendly OK
Thank you for offering curbside!! It makes life a lot easier when raising kids and working. Sometimes the produce picks are a little wilted and not the best but overall it has been wonderful for our family!!
I like the format of the ordering process but finding organic items is tough. Also, I wish there was a button to turn off all substitutions for the entire order instead of going through every item individually.
Unfortunately my Huge Ingles store does not and probably will not ever have Curbside pickup. My question: why can’t I use this to build my shopping list? Just like the one Publix, Kroger and every other grocery store chain has!
You need to make this app for all Ingles, not just curbside. It will not let me choose the Ingles 1 mile from my house as my store - I have to have one in another town as my store. In fact, it shows no Ingles at all in Cumming, Ga when there are 4. I don’t do curbside and this app is catered only to people who do. This app needs to be for everyone and just add curbside to it. Look at the Kroger app and work from there.
I absolutely adore my ingles shoppers and curbside pickup! They do an amazing job and I appreciate their hard work. The ingles website and app could use some upgrades. It is not the most user friendly. Maybe take a gander at target or Walmarts apps or websites and get some ideas. I say all of this with much love :) as I am a very happy Ingles costumer.
Like another review I read, I like to choose my own meats & produce but don’t like having to search multiple aisles to find some items. Please consider adding this feature to your app.
The pick list which allows you to make choices does not work! I spent too much time going item by item making my NO substitutions or other choices known but in each case the program reversed my choices back to “best comparable”. This is an unacceptable problem when buying groceries online!
One of the main reasons I downloaded this was to be able to have my advantage card handy without having to make sure I grabbed the right set of keys or make sure I grabbed the card before I went anywhere and suddenly needed an impromptu stop at the store. Saving your card number and barcode should be basic functionality. Even if I’m ordering curbside pickup, I still have to go hunt the card. Please add that ability.
This app has a few bugs in it. For one thing if you search for an item and find it, then search for something else it seems to forget to clear the search criteria. Other than that it seems to work well.
This has to be the worse app i’ve used. Common searches are not found. Trying to find item that you don’t have brand name is almost impossible to find. Put is a common food name like “Pancake” or other general common search and you get back “not found” Also the app constantly crashes during searches or hit and away the app goes. I like the service but to bad they didn’t more into a decent app.
The name of the app leads you to believe that it’s for shopping at Ingles, but it’s for curbside pickup only! With other grocery store apps, you’re able to clip coupons, make a shopping list, see the aisle location of products, and some list prices. This app needs to be renamed. I feel like I was tricked into downloading it, only to have to delete it because it offers no in-store shopping functionality.
I suggest having an optional tip you can update, once you pick your order up. The price of groceries alone today are insane. Many are elderly, newborns, & taking care loved ones - can’t risk getting them sick by coming Inside. Maybe even sick themselves, we don’t know. Point is no one wants to work for free, but I would work harder personally if I knew it affected my tip. The fee isn’t awful, but it could be zero. Employees might receive larger tips, make it a contest in store and gift them a prize. Just my suggestion
Love that this is available for people like me who can’t walk for very long. The pickers and people who bring my bags to my car are always so polite and attentive. Great service, thank you all.
Very disappointed to see a tv ad saying curbside pickup now available, only to learn it’s not available at our store #101. We care for my husband’s 89 year old mother who’s in poor health. Having curbside pickup at a store less than 3 minutes away would be most helpful. As it is, we have to drive 20 minutes away to another grocery store.
Love that you can use the sale paper to start buggy. If you get “stuck “, click 🏠 scroll to top and search for next product. Also note option for substitute.
The employees are very courteous and friendly. They go beyond the expectation to help you. Everything is loaded in back and never a mishap. A smile and a greeting always goes a long way!
I have to reenter my info multiple times because it changes expiration date or deletes address. This has been happening for months. Needs to be able save information so I don’t have to enter it over and over again.
It took me nearly 45 minutes to actually get the app set up because it kept saying that I was timed out and it kept making me enter my information probably 12 to 15 different times and if I didn’t need the groceries and my time was short for lunch I wouldn’t bother with the appthis will be a one time thing and I will not do it again it’s just not worth the pain
Ingles West Morristown Has Excellent Curbside Service
I am thrilled with the curbside service at the Ingles West location in Morristown, Tennessee! Their attention to detail and courteous service is the best anywhere around!!! I highly recommend using this service!!!
I like to shop in the store. Your app used to let me search for an item and see current price and which aisle it was located on. This new version of app will not let me see items unless I sign in. When I search for something it automatically puts on an order. Please go back to the old app. It worked perfectly for in store shopping.
I had not used it for a while, and when I opened the app today it logged me out immediately. Then a series of popups saying “id” kept showing up. When I tried to add an item to a list, it also popped up with an error message saying it could not add to list. What’s going on?
