I do not turn off a medication alarm until I take the medication! This has saved my sanity. And I only use it for meditation. To not wear out my interest and stop “seeing” the alarms.
BOTH MyNetDiary and MyFitnessPal failed after some time using their reminders to restore them when I reported the glitches. Yes, I have the proper settings on my phone as well as in the apps and I have paid, not free versions. So, when they couldn't or wouldn't fix the bugs that caused the reminders to quit working, I turned to Insistent. So glad I did! Now I have the alerts I rely upon to stay timely with my regimen. And I like the repeated sounds so much better. It's also good that they continue until I take action so I don't miss an alert when I'm away from my phone or busy!
Would love to have a preset of “ 15 min and 30 min “ ready to be launched when creating a reminder. I personally need reminders or tasks that will continue to bug me as I tend to dismiss alerts all too easily- but I love this app! I simply snooze it for the nagging option lol. This definitely helps with my ADHD when I forget things and the snooze work around help when I get too hyper-focused and have to remind myself of how long I’ve been in the zone. I would gladly pay for watch capabilities, widgets and a way to add a section for optional to do list or a section for a description rather than the title of the reminder only. I’ve honestly spent 2 days downloading apps with promises to be close to your app feature. But yours is the best hands down because it keeps repeating the way I need it to.Your app won the list as well as another called highfutureself. Out of testing so many apps. Thank you so much! A donation button would be cool too.
This app has literally changed my life! It seems I have a pretty bad memory, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. I forget to do things all the time and I found that the usual reminder apps really don't cut it as they only alert you once, so if you don't take action straight away you'll just forget about it again! So in comes Insistent! It reminds you at your selected time and then keeps reminding you every minute until you tell it to stop, so if you're busy doing something else or don't notice the first notification then it won't give up! But if you know you can't do your task right now you can snooze the reminder until later when you might be free, you can even set recurring reminders if you need to do the same thing on a regular basis. Use Insistent as a reminder for anything that you can't afford to forget; taking a pill, paying a bill, doing a chore, calling your dearest mother, you name it!
