Great app! What's all the fuss about Karen?

I don't see why people are leaving bad reviews. I have never had a problem. If you READ auction terms PRIOR to registering and pay close attention to the details, there shouldn't be an issue. I can't say anything about customer service because I have never had problems registering, bidding, or receiving my wins. I stay away from sellers who don't list in the terms how they process, package, and ship won items. Also, sketchy internet connections will affect one's experience, but that should be obvious. *Developers please make it a little easier to delete notifications! Maybe a select all and delete?

Dishonest Auctioneers and Scammers

I like the app. The filtering settings could be better, but the lack of customer service and communication is appalling. I won an item 3 weeks ago and still haven’t received it. Called the company and no answer. Then I check the reviews. One month, two month wait times to ship or the wrong item shows up. I’m giving it another week and I’m calling the transaction is as fraud to my credit card company. Word of advice folks, stay away from this site. Use eBay or whatever else but you have been warned.

Exceptional

I use variety of platforms for buying watches, probably 10 or more. What I like about this platform is the simplicity, great photos, the text reminders and many items are exclusive to Invaluable. Payment is simple as well. They have discovered how to make this a fun, easy to understand selling / buying platform.

Lazy

Not sure where the fault lies but I find it ridiculous that when I click the ‘See current bid’ link in an email. It doesn't take me to that item to show me the current bid (as the link promised)it instead takes me to a random Invaluable page. That’s bait and switch. Frustrating enough that in this day and age I have to then type in the item and go through other similar pieces to locate it. Very lazy of the developers. Seems small but results in a lot of wasted time if you use their app/emails to locate items on a regular basis. Which I used to before this problem. Have now stopped even checking their emails.

Lost Bids

Too many times I have lost auction items due to app failure. The app claims you are “high bidder” when actual you are not and it does not inform you that you have been outbid. You are left thinking you are the high bidder and when auction closes it still says you are high bidder. And guess what happens? You didn’t win. The sale went to others that have the exact amount of your bid. Something is wrong with this app’s software. Wrote to the app owners still waiting for a reply. My advice: use this app to review items and place bids directly with the auction houses. Something is wrong. I challenge the app owners to review my bid history and explain. Writing directly to you doesn’t gain a response. Here’s your opportunity. When the problem was researched further the auction house claims my bid was not received until the auction ended. Funny I placed it 12 hours before the start of the auction. What caused the claimed delay? Again, no response from Invaluable. I am not letting this go until a full and complete explanation is given. Oh your customer service is nonexistent. Thank you.

The worst

This has always been the single worst app I use. The new update continues the almost unfathomable stupidity of the designs previously and with most of the same bugs. Why not have Saved Items be sortable, as on the website? Or if not, don’t just display them in a jumbled order so that soonest auctions are buried in the middle of distant ones! Auction catalogue listings usually blank out randomly after a few screens. Past results and previously saved items frequently display as “no results”. Searches cannot be sorted or limited by item type, date, price etc. The list goes on. It’s an app seemingly designed by people who have never used any sort of commerce app. Truly, it is the single worst Collectibles or e-commerce app of them all!

AVOID AMELIA JEFFERS AUCTION HOUSE

AVOID AVOID AVOID. First of avoid Amelia Jeffers auction house. They never sent me an invoice for bids I won even with multiple messages on to them send me an invoice. It has been over a month and they still have not sent me an invoice. I then messaged Invaluable to look into this and it says these losers have put a UPI strike against my account for what and invaluable says there is nothing they can do. So this Auction house Amelia Jeffers ignored all my messages about my invoice for my won bids and then preceded to put a strike on my Account. Unbelievable. They tried to sell my bids for a high price but couldn’t and that could have explained why they never got back to me

Some perks some drawbacks

The search feature on the mobile app has poor functionality. You cannot search for art by price, time remaining, or location. The pictures are often pixelated more so than those on their website. Not invaluable’s fault, but many auctions have unclear shipping policies, or are slow to approve registrations. Unfortunately you cannot leave an absentee bid on an item if your registration is pending - this lost me the opportunity to bid on a few items. Perks: access to auctions, ability to view auctions in real-time as they occur.

Smooth and Easy to Use Interface

I liked the way App is designed. Especially search feature listing “Suggested items”. Used to have quite a few bugs and seems like the feedback is taken and it now has much better performance. Have used it for participating in live auctions.

Horrible!

This app is plagued with problems. It freezes, crashes, partially loads, stops responding, randomly signs you out, won’t remember your password.... basically every issue an app can have, this has it! I love using the invaluable bidding platform online, but why won’t they put more development into the app?! I’ve emailed their tech support many times with screenshots of many of these problems and they just reply with some generic response like “Sorry to hear you having trouble using our app... please view our FAQ page here to learn about resetting your password” FIX YOUR APP PLEASE!

Good app, but lacks logistically

The overall look and interface is great. Very easy to search and save lots. The issue is that it constantly has software issues. I have to sign in each time and it force shutdowns when I’m in the middle of searches. Hopefully the next update will fix this!

In-app email problem

Very nice app but with an email contact problem. I tried to contact invaluable or auction company several times via in-app email contact, it failed every time. I then realized this app is picking up wrong email app (Mail) instead of my default email (gmail). I googled this issue and found that this indeed is an app problem, it suggests to contact app developer. Here this goes, please fix this issue. App version: 2.6.7; iOS version: 16.4.1

Ripped off

I bought an item in auction. Was told I had 60 days to request a refund. I wrote at least 5 times and never got a reply. The item did not live up to the pictures and here it sits in a box. Won’t even give it as a gift. Very dissatisfied with this site and won’t do business again, sorry to say!!!

Great App

You can find anything you’re looking for on this app. You might even get lucky and be the highest bidder. It’s educational just to look at what’s available and what people are willing to pay for certain items.

Money Grab Alert

Invaluable was once a great place to go for online auctions. Much like eBay one could follow auction lots, bid if desired, and then see the final sale price of the item when it closed. Invaluable now expects the average person to pay a monthly or annual subscription to see closed lot sales prices. This is a shameless money grab. Would you shop at a retail store that hides the price tags? You would not. I recommend avoiding Invaluable until they come to their senses.

Largest Selection of Auctions on the Web

This app has the widest selection of auction houses to buy from out of any house I have seen. Good companion app for following auctions that you are visiting in person. It often has more images of the items than the paper catalogs.

New subscription service is absurd

Invaluable used to be a great place to bid on items and track the value of things you were interested, but not anymore! There’s a progressive subscription service you have to pay for to see what past lots have sold for, and to see all of them you have to pay, get this, $2000 per year. What a joke. Definitely moving over to HiBid or Proxibid after this.

The ability to mine past auction results and listings is a major omission from this app. The filter of “past auctions” on searches that is available on the website needs to be added

Online Bidding Made Easy

I love the Invaluable app. Now I don’t have to run to my laptop to make a bid; I can just pull out my phone anywhere. It’s a must-have for any serious collector and has helped me grow my collection of medieval armor considerably.

Amazing diversity of items

Fascinating, well described, unique items of every type (and every price range). Great fun browsing the historical documents, etc., even if you have no intention of bidding.

Excellent Platform

Only issue is that sometimes the bid is delayed getting to the auction house so you may want to put in an absentee bid ahead of time to hold your place.

I’m a person…

For some reason, both the app and the website have decided that I’m a bot when I try to access on my iPhone. And there’s nothing I can do about it. This is infuriating. I haven’t changed MY settings and there’s nowhere for me to get help. Hey Invaluable, how about you reach out to me and help me fix this problem? Otherwise I’ll just use all the other auction sites.

I like it and use it but...

Invaluable brings a whole different set of auction houses to the internet and I love looking through the contemporary offerings on invaluable. But it is missing super helpful features like allowing you to store searches and receive emails when yourfavoeite artists’ work comes on the market.

Endlessly improved.

The idea behind the app was an incredible one set. Sadly, the app itself has always been horrible. Thankfully, this has now changed. The app refresh combines a great idea with great usability. Good work invaluable

Have to delete and reload app each new time I use it

I love the app because I use Invaluable a lot and can bid etc. on the go. But each time I open this app and then close it it fails to recognize my sign- in information the next time. I have to delete the app from my phone and reload for it to work. Not sure I’m going to keep this one.

162 bids and 61 wins to date. Invaluable is a great app and easy and fun to use. Thanks for listening to your customers and continuously improving! Ps - for the first time today, my recommended items were actually items I’d be interested in! Not sure if this is a lucky coincidence or one of your latest fixes, but this would be a nice improvement if you haven’t done it already. Thanks again!

WORST UPGRADE EVER

Your firmer platform was infinitely more user friendly and offered more filtering options. I saved things I want to bid on and in your precious app I could sort many different way, for example, “starting first” ! Now, all of my saved items are mixed with NOW WAY to filter. Great job! Why try to fix something that worked fine. Hope you read these comments. I am not alone.

Search Does Not Work

The search feature does not work. I put in a subject to search and then every search after that fills in the original search word. Even after deleting the app and reinstalling it, the same thing happens. I have to use their web page instead of the app. Very inconvenient.

This app should come with a warning

Bidding at auctions using this app puts you at a serious disadvantage against floor bidders or bidders using the auction’s own online bidding system. It’s unconscionable that they don’t tell you that in advance. If a floor bidder matches your previously given comparable bid with Invaluable, the floor bid takes precedence and you don’t get a chance to bid again.

Great App

Loved this app! However, you have to run it on a 5th generation iPad or later. I upgraded my iPad 4th generation to the 6th generation and it’s back to the app I love...

Needs some work

Use the app often. It gets extremely frustrating how it kicks you out while viewing auction lots making you start over from the beginning. Also, it never remembers my information for sign in.

Great app (when it works)!

Crashes or stops loading when reviewing lots within an auction. Also, will show notifications but then there’s nothing there when you open app. Please fix!!!

Fix bugs please

I have to sign in every time I open the app. It's hard to scroll thru items since it takes a while to load them. There aren't as many filter options as the website. Makes the app much harder to use.

Beware!

The app let me register a bid for an item, but the auction house didn’t acknowledge it. This app will let you bid even if it doesn’t go through! Better to register with the auction houses directly but the helpline won’t even try to contact the auction houses for you. “Not their responsibility” they claim.

Looks good when it works

Just started using the app 10 minutes ago and you have to scroll at the perfect speed to prevent crashing. Go to you saved lots and back to the auction tab, it brings you back to the list of auctions instead of the spot you were deep in a list. Please fix

Incredibly annoying notifications

I want notifications for things I’m following or auctions I’m participating in. I don’t want notifications for all the useless crap that appears on Invaluables site. Apparently you can’t have one without the other, so I have to turn ALL notifications off. Stupid.

OK but some key features are missing or don’t work: - you always have to sign in again - you cannot share an item with someone - you cannot ask the seller a question about an item

Fraud

An auctioneer kept hundreds of dollars of mine. Never sent the item. Later said they didn’t have it and would refund me. They took my bank details and committed more fraud. Invaluable cannot even be reached. Shame on Apple for letting these fraudsters destroy the app stores credibility

Lazy corporate exercise

A disaster of an app that is designed to break at every opportunity and has had no effort put into it at all. It can’t remember state and will randomly sign you out and will equally randomly refresh pages of search results you’re looking at. Come on, guys!
