New design looks really great. Love that I can now read articles inside the app. Big fan of the livestreams viewing portal and getting notified when they start. Can’t wait for more concerts to fill up my calendar!
A really helpful feature for the app would be to include the ability to view and search for past shows that you have attended and that artists have performed. The website has this capability. It should move over to the app also. Otherwise, it’s good.
Been a user from the beginning and, sadly, the latest revamp is a step backwards. It also seems like the app is missing more and more shows. It’s like sometimes they’ll list the band playin the local hotdog stand but nothing about the established bands playing Sculpture Park. I wish there was a better alternative.
The premier Jamband information source for a decade and more. The leading site for live streams during covid. A truly deep and informative scheduling feature to find live shows in normal times. Some decent articles and reviews. Love Jambase - git on dis app
This app used to work great but not anymore. When you click on a band you can’t scroll down to see their upcoming shows. It just keeps buffering back to the top show you can only see the next couple of shows. It was a great app, told a lot of friends. Unfortunately it’s been like this for a while.
Been a JamBase user / advocate since day 1… a d the current version is in need of a massive upgrade. As someone who designs GUI that loves music this has been a go to. But it’s just not easy to endorse a platform that is so dysfunctional when it comes to being able to track and follow events.
As a huge fan of live must, especially small venue shows this is the tool for you! Weather you want to see what is going on for the upcoming weekend, artists you want track, or local venues and dives you want to monitor for upcoming shows this a great app! You can also mark shows to show on your own calendar as you brows for shows at different venues. Also... If you travel for work or leisure, know what is happening in the are you will be before your there, with the city search. Always room for improvement but I'm loving this app!
Perfect now, makes me really happy...I can't believe this hasn't come sooner. It now has several days listed with pix, email to friend, search for map location...everything, nice and simple, the way it should be. I have had a vision of how this app should be, and this is it. One thing, it could be more comprehensive, but that's jambase...pretty comprehensive, but not totally...in NYC it's awesome, though. Thanks jambase guys, concert database on my iphone, sweetness!
I used this app for about a year to find out who's playing where and when. Jambase is a website I go to on a regular basis. Very cool tool and one stop shop to find out where the good music is. However, the app was lacking many features. No articles, no news, no notifications etc. All this app provides is artist and venue information with a calendar that you can add shows to, but never alerts you of these shows. Still somewhat useful. However lately this app has gone downhill. It began crashing quite frequently. I kept going back to it while putting up with those glitches. Now it got to the point where I try to open it, it pops up and closes instantly. Very annoying. I reboot my phone, tried again... Same results. I decided to uninstall the app and reinstall. Upon trying to log in to retrieve my favorite artists list, the app began to crash again. I've tried closing it out and relaunching it again. Login, click submit...crashed again. I've lost my patience with the Jambase App. The next step is to uninstall this app and forget about it. Save yourself some time and just use the website. It'll save you a lot of frustration.
This app just found what is likely to be the best concert of my life, among many other headsplode worthy shows coming up. Definitely surprised me when it found a couple of underground bands I listen to! A few suggestions: -The ability to search by venue (this may be possible already, gonna check after this as the idea just popped into my head) -The ability to email a list of upcoming shows to a friend, so I don't have to type out a gigantic list of shows I'm gonna force them to go see. -this app should also make me a sammich, all this excitement over finding dope local shows has made me a bit hungry. Thanks for the great app!
Great app for live music lovers on the go. Gives dates, times, and location of your favorite live bands. Band bio's are also included. There are two things that they could improve to earn 5 stars from me. #1 multiple locations I travel to several cities and would live to check in on those cities live music scene without having to reenter zip codes. In other words, add a "favorite locations scroll" #2. Links to the band's website. Add those two features, and it's a five star app.
As a fan of live music, I love this app. It is also helpful because my job involves lots of travel so I can find shows wherever I am. What I’d like to see is an ability to add shows to my phone’s calendar, not just the calendar within the app. Often I have interest in a show and would like visibility in the tool that governs my life.
This is by far my most frequently used app. So useful. Wouldn't have known about a good 90% of shows I go to without this app. Easy to use and convenient. Only suggestions: option for exporting shows to device calendars, and adding feature for nearby festivals like on the site. All in all though love JamBase and love the app! Thanks!!
I like the app overall, but I would like to see some of the options available online available on this app. Such as click on venue to take you to maps, click on band to see tour schedule, allow users to access account info, ability to access articles (their good!!) Overall my point is that I think the app could be better by making it more similar to the website.
I hate dropping a two year old review from five stars to two stars... But the Jambase app experience has declined.... Please update to increase stability and crashes. Jambase, I love your website but as I and the rest of the world move into the mobile space it's difficult to argue with the convenience of an app. Kindly update yours so that your service and platform continue to be visible and healthy and so that you are not forced out by the larger ticket hawking rapscallions. Please/ thanks/ grassroots jambase fan
I've been a long time user of their website and am glad to see them take Jambase onto the iPhone. Every since I've been playing around in the app store I thought this was a needed product for real music fans. Can't wait to see how this app evolves over time. Nice job guys!!!!
I just downloaded this app about an hour ago, and so far I'm very amazed. You can tell they put a lot of thought into this. You can track artists, see bios for most, add concerts to your Jambase calendar, and so on. I would give it 5 stars if it gave me the ability to track concert venues. Keep up the great work!
I love JamBase, I really do- been using it for a very long time. With my new phone, I cannot sign into my account whatsoever. Works great on my PC. I've tried making a new password, etc. if I can't log in, the app is essentially useless. Please fix this app before it dies in obscurity, and we lose a great tool
I use this app a few times a week to see what shows are in town, what's coming up, etc. It's always precise. I'd love more info on the artists when I click on them, but that may be a few updates away. Keep up the good work!
This is amazing. I can be kept abreast of all shows in my area. I love how you can put shows on calendar, and drill down for bios, and other tour dates. No more sifting through papers and local websites. This brings it all home. I have not experienced any difficulties as described by other users.
jambase is the best way to find concerts in your town or anywhere you might be traveling. Their website is a great resource, and I think the app is even handier because it remembers where you are and uses that as a default. Great site, great app, great resource !
I've been looking for an app like this for awhile. It was great that it could upload my artist list from itunes, that saved a ton of time. I agree that they should enable the artist & distance searches for the iPhone app but otherwise I'm impressed with how comprehensive the concert list is.
I love that jambase has an app. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, inform people of local live music. Ical function as well as sound snipts would be a great addition. Looking forward to the next update.
There are still some bugs to be worked out like the fact that the links to get tickets don't always work, several of the listed concerts have actually been months ago but they are still listed, and several concerts are not listed. Fix the bugs, delete concerts that are cancelled, and stop missing so many concerts that are actually happening.
So, this app used to be really awesome. I used to be able to check for new shows almost every weekend, I even found out about one of the best shows this year from this app. But it recently started crashing on me. Does anyone else have this problem?! Update, please!
The fact that I can look up live shows at any given time within a certain distance of my location = a great idea. However the app is painfully out of date - still using old IOS6 look and it's not even sized right for the iPhone 5. Please update it and fix some of the crash bugs to make it work better.
It needs a feature to add a show to my iPhone calendar, not just my jambase calendar. Outlook calendar feature on website doesn't work for iPhone, was hoping the app would provide that. Would like more if it incorporated more features from the website. Also needs an iPad version.
I've been using Jambase for years to find local shows, so I was excited to see this app show up. However, even after restarts, it crashes within seconds of hitting the "save" button, so I haven't even been able to see any info. I imagine that once it's fixed (either by the developer or if I figure out if it's my phone), It'll be great and I'll change my review.
This is what I used to think...(This is still the BEST concert locator app out there. Thank you so much for this long awaited update! The UI is so much better now & works great with my iPhone 6.) I have since upgraded to iPhone 7 & now there's a bug that is really annoying. Any time I tap on an event I want to go to, there is no longer any information displayed about venue contact info or address + no ticket price info. WICKED ANNOYING!!
I just moved to the Denver, CO area from a smaller city and I’m firing for some good concerts at the great venues Denver has to offer. This app not only gives me a great resource to plan out the concerts i want to see and CAN see, it truly creates a list of bands I know I truly love!! AMAZING!!
Absolutely love JamBase but the website search and navigation are much better and include Past Shows, so there’s no reason to install the app. Even when a Past Show is on My Calendar, it does not show up unless you go back to the website and look at My Calendar there. Why would a calendar on the two platforms (app vs web) be any different?? Sad! 😄
Not impressed with jambase 3.0 update! The information is not as easily attainable as the older version. The pictures and colors distract me away from the information I initially was seeking! Too much emphasis on the production while loosing focus on the clear, concise, and so very informative content I instinctively and effortlessly accessed on a daily basis! 3.0 is very flashy and eye grabbing but I miss so very much the old layout!
...so essentially, it is useless unless you just want to browse shows. Cant save to calendar, cant track artists. And yes, my login creds are correct, I uninstalled the app and tried again, reset PW...not worth the trouble anymore. Pretty new display give it 2 stars instead of 1. I'm seeking an alternative now.
