I have been a member of JDCU since I was a young boy. I’ve used them for my savings, checking accounts, and car and truck loans. I’ve also used their credit card for many years, but it came to a point where I knew I was wasting money paying 10% interest on my credit card, so I had to look elsewhere to pay down the card as quickly as possible, as I’m not getting any younger and need to find ways to save money, so I had to transfer my credit card balance to another card company and bank. With that decision I have save several thousands of dollars that would have gone to paying interest had I stayed with JDCU for my credit card. I still use JDCU, and they have great service, but it would be great if they could lower their card interest rate.

Transaction list was better before
I love JDCU, but I miss the way the transaction list used to be. Don't get me wrong, there are many great things about the new version of the app. But, having to click on each individual transaction to see what it was for, is honestly a pain, and quite a drain on time. Having an app is supposed to make life easier and faster. Well, the way the transactions used to be, you could log in, go into your account, and see all transactions and what/who they were for, all in one quick glance. Now, you have to click one, then back, then the next one, then back, then the next one, and on and on...and if you need to scroll down a couple of days and you need to load additional transactions, don't click on anything unless you're absolutely sure it's the one you want. Because if it's not, you have to scroll again and load more transactions again - for several pages, depending on how far down you need to go. It's just very time consuming. But, other than those two things, I don't have any other problems with the app.

Convenient, great interface... A true JDCU experience!
I love this app and use it almost daily. Check your account balance, transfer money and deposit checks remotely - all from the convenience of your home! I’ve always LOVED this app, but now that we’re in quarantine (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) it makes me love it even more. I’ve been a member of JDCU since I was a kid and they are stuck with me for life! Thanks for being such an awesome credit union not only for your members but for the whole Greater Lowell community and beyond!

Crucial Info Hard to Find
It’s a fine app I can see my balances and transactions easy enough for what I need as well as deposit anywhere which is nice to have. My main issue is that I cannot find my full account number or routing number anywhere on the app or online. Obviously this is crucial info to have and should be easily accessible but it’s not... Maybe it’s me and I’m missing something or they have a reason for not having it on the app or website but every other bank I use has it right there and easy to find this I can’t view this as anything more than a mediocre barebones app that does most of the things that are absolutely necessary of any app to be even worth using remotely while missing other crucial things that I can’t understand why every other app has and they don’t.

Member for 30 years and counting.
I’ve been a member of JDCU since my first summer job as a teenager in 1989. I’ve payed off loans for one home and several auto loans. By working with the very nice staff in the loan department I was able to save well over $100,000 in interest on my home mortgage alone. The on-line banking site and the app has made it so easy to deposit a check, transfer money (even between members) or pay monthly bills. It would be hard to find just one reason that another bank is better. -Dave

Convenient, but remote deposit needs a makeover
The app is great overall. Very convenient and easy to navigate. Half of the time I’ve tried to remote deposit checks, it says the image isn’t clear enough. There should really be a better camera for this job. I live far from any locations now and depend on the remote deposit. I also wish that it would say where your transactions are from right on the main page instead of having to click on it.

Mobile app
Mathis app is great, perfect for on the go checking your account or needing to make a transfer. Even if you need a quicker method they offer the thumbprint log in (hasn’t worked for me in months sadly) but worked great before the mini widget it offers for iPhone also works awesome to swipe to just see your balance quickly although you need to log back into the app many times to get the widget to constantly update, very nice features.

On line banking
I absolutely love the ease of paying my bills on line and being able to review payments! I’m not so happy about not being able to review my visa transactions and can’t understand why it’s taking so long to correct this glitch ! I was told to check on desktop but unfortunately I don’t have a computer and depend on my iPad ! Agnes Callery

Can’t view credit card transactions
I love this app, although recently I can’t seem to view what transactions I made through my credit card. It just leaves a blank screen and I haven’t been able to keep track what was spent on it recently. I hope they fix it soon. It’s only getting a four star because of recently the app is not working well for me. Other then that, it does well at other things.

Great App and great Credit Union
It took me a little while to get use to the new features on the app but I'm finding it easy to use and I love the deposit anywhere feature (no more struggling to make sure the photo is correct). Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union is fantastic... friendly and helpful staff! They do need to put a branch in the Pawtuckville section of Lowell. Heading downtown or to another city is not always convenient.

Good ish
I’ve been using the app for a few years and barely any problems. And when there are, they’re usually fixed in a day or so. Usually. However, I just got a new phone in January, and when I installed the app, it asked if i wanted to enable quick login, I used my thumbprint with my old phone and thought it made everything easy, so longing for simplicity, I clicked yes. The number pad refuses to show up so I can add a pin. I’ve been trying for three months and still no quick login. Fix your crap, guys.

A perfect example as to why you shouldn’t fix something that isn’t broken.. ever since the update a few months ago, everytime I try to check my credit card transactions the app glitches and stays in a loading screen

Mobile check deposit crash
I run a business and rely on mobile check deposit. Every time I open the app and proceed to take a picture, the app crashes. When I relaunch it, it does have my front end check image saved, but not the back - so I proceed with the process. But, while it is my responsibility, if I have previously selected the specific account for deposit, the app seems to default to another account. This has resulted in a misdirection of my check depositing.

New update has made app almost unusable
I’ve always loved the app but with the new update the app is nearly unusable. It won’t let me pay down my overdraft down to zero, it doesn’t immediately update balances to reflect transfers, I can’t view pending charges on my credit card, and the app routinely says a transfer failed even though it competed resulting in duplicate transfers. The superb convenience of the previous version of the app has become one of the most frustrating online banking experiences I’ve ever had. Please go back to what worked!

So Buggy now
I love JDCU. Until recently , I was a big fan of the app. In the last month or so , it has become very unreliable . The app which was at one time flawless, now constantly requires the user to reset everything . It is so random . It works onetime, then not the next. Then, oh wait, it works again. Please fix this problem.

Maintenance screwed my direct deposit
I have had my payroll direct deposit to have my money distributed a portion to my checking and savings for the past 5 yrs with the same company. Low and behold, after the maintenance they had all my money going into my checking. They tried to argue with me saying it was my payroll setup but literally nothing has changed on my end for the past 5 yrs where it was all working! Until the “maintenance”. They opened a ticket, and waiting to see what happens.

Please update!
Glitch on viewing credit card transactions that freezes entire app in flashing mode. Notice of glitch has been posted for months by bank on app. Bank customer service states that updates have been made that are not fixing for all customers. Not true at all! Just look at app- it hasn’t actually been updated for over 6mths (as I write this). Have totally loved this bank, but this response from the bank may be the reason to not use them going forward.

Latest update ruined the Dashboard
Every time I login on my 4th gen iPad (iOS 10.3.3) the entire Dashboard appears much dimmer than the top of the screen. I can't click anywhere on the screen except for the menu icon, which thankfully still works. From the menu I can still access Accounts, Transfers, etc., and those all look normal, but the Dashboard is completely useless.

Great online banking
I love and trust JDCU as much as I am having a credit card with them right now. I can transfer money whenever I want and there is no limited on transferring money. I love it! I suggested JDCU to my family. They are all having JDCU right now. I will definitely have JDCU for a really long time.

App is convenient but not as much as the text feature
App works okay for the majority of my banking needs, but why take away the ultra-convenient text option? Being able to type 3 letters to check my balance was extremely handy & I miss that feature a LOT!

Best people ever.
My family does business with them all the time. Never too busy to sit down and talk to you. Very personable staff. Love the Nashua branch!!! They also work with the community teaching young teenagers running out of bank. They have good credit unions in the schools. Can anybody tell me that their credit union does that? Love JDCU!

So convenient
I love the app because it is so convincente! I like how I can check my accounts and transfer my money very easily and fast at any point in time. My only issue is that sometimes it can be a little slow and not respond.

Can’t see details on my transaction
I used to love the app, there was nothing wrong with it until the last update, I use my app a lot to see what am I spending my money on, before the app would tell you more details about the transaction now it just says withdraw or deposit… it makes me even think about changing my bank, I also have a few automatic payments so it’s very difficult for me to keep track of my money.

Love JDCU
I'm wasn't one for credit unions. I trusted the traditional banks only. Such decline in percentages on savings, high loan interests and constant changes in traditional banks that my mother convinced me to try JDCU! It's been a perfect match and I've given friends their information, too! I'm very happy with them and I love their app!

Good, but a couple bugs
A bit frustrating that you can’t write a memo in a transfer between accounts when on an ipad. It closes out of the transfer immediately. Only works if you leave the memo blank, which is a bummer for tracking purposes.

I work for another Bank! Let me start there.... this bank JDCU has the best mobile app out there. Wells Fargo app: Trash, BOA: trash, TD bank: trash. Do you want me to keep going? I don’t think so. I have JDCJ seen I was 18 and now I’m 25 I will never change,!

Issue
I don’t know why when I click to make payment on my credit card on app, it keeps glitching. Never happen to me til the new update. I love using the online bank but lately it’s been giving me issue. Was late on my payment twice due to update and glitches. Hopefully this get fix soon.

Downgrade in system
New system is terrible. Constantly having issues with payments not going through towards the payment, they get sent to principal only. This updated system seems to be a step backwards with technology. Even talking to a member service representative they commented how I was the 3rd call in a row for the same issue.

What once was ok, now is crap.
In the past I was able to submit mobile deposit checks, which was great. All that changed recently and the trash app is telling me that my check it folded. It’s fresh out of the mail. I have to actually drive the the bank to deposit a check now. Honestly, that’s not a huge problem but I hate Jeanne D’arc. It’s definitely time for a real bank.
