I inherited a Jeep due to unfortunate circumstances and figured I’d customize it a little bit. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing though. How do you know the color of a part with match your Jeep’s color? How do you know if the part will fit your specific Jeep year? How does it look in real life and not in some studio? Well, this app answers all those questions and more. It’s kinda nuts actually how simple it makes things for you. And let’s say your still confused, you can chat with a Jeep expert on the app to make sure ALL your questions are answered before you commit to buying something. My only complaint is that this whole customization process can get very expensive quite quickly. Parts are not cheap.
This has been a phenomenal app and I love looking at other people’s mods they have done to their rigs. The one option I wish that this had was a commenting on photos option. I only say this for two reasons tho: one - it allows users to interact with one another with the same common interest of modding Jeeps, and two - when people post photos of their whole rig and I’m sure many people are wanting to know what some of the other modifications that they have done to it. I think it would be a good way to go with the app, it would open a whole new modern community for the Jeep enthusiasts out there. Just an idea, Alan
The app has some cool aspects like being able to see “user” builds. But it’s the same pictures and products over and over. There isn’t an abundance of variety. It should have been my first clue, but I ordered anyway. Big mistake! Every item I ordered was in stock and given a delivery date (tires,wheel, TPMS, mount and balance, lug nuts, and running boards for context of what I ordered at once). The two least important items were shipped on time and delivered like they were supposed to be. The wheels and tires were not shipped on time for one, then only two were delivered late( still trying to locate the other two). Customer service only had one solution, a $25 credit to be used in 30 days on their site. On an order of over $2000 they offered $25….. Please do yourself a favor and do not give them the chance to do it to you as well. Lesson learned for me
First of all love the app and the ability to see all the photos of builds etc. however the app needs some work. When you’re going thru builds, it’ll display the same ones over and over until you scroll fast enough to make it load a new set. Also, the order tracking does not work on the app, and you can’t copy the number from the app to look it up yourself. Also, if you click on a picture of a build you wanna see, it changes your search instead of just enlarging picture and you can’t go back without starting all over again. Not big issues but it would be good improvements to the app. Also extreme terrain as a whole needs a price match, some of the stuff on their site is way overpriced compared to other sites. The XRC smitty built fender flares are a prime example.
I don’t normally write reviews but I feel this app deserves one. I was given my Jeep a few weeks ago after waiting for 4 years. It was originally my grandfathers but after his stroke he wasn’t able to take it, so he wanted me to have it. I have never felt this way about a car the way I feel about my jeep, and as I work to make it my own and to make it look good as new, this app has been a HUGE help to me. If anyone has a new Jeep or even been a long time jeep owner, this app is for you. It’s easy to use and there’s a huge community of jeep owners that have no problem helping you out if needed. Definitely earned the 5 stars!

Routine and beyond as expected service, correspondence and product content. Looking forward to all the upcoming JL aftermarket products. What gets my attention is the educational materials through videos and other publications. I’ll be a regular, particularly once the aftermarket shows it’s face. Great business model. With the JL beginning to advance with aftermarket products, I’ve had minimal yet superior experiences with sales and services; one or two items having been back ordered and, with a simple inquiry, fulfilled swiftly and unexpectedly. Keep that $#!t up! - Thank you!
I’ll start by saying I love American Trucks, and I’m assuming their sister company Extreme Terrain is just as great. They always have great customer service, awesome selection of parts, and most importantly it’s a great platform for buying vehicle specific parts. When I used to have my f150, I probably made several 1k+ purchases with American Trucks and always appreciated them having in house install videos and more the likely a photo of the item you were looking at installed on your exact truck. But this app, AND only this app has major issues. Now I could be wrong but it seems the app only allows you to look at wrangler specific parts. Well that does no good for a Bronco owner. And what’s more infuriating is that my cart with all my Bronco parts are in the app and viewable. But I can’t put my make and model in and only look at Bronco related items. American Trucks, please correct this. I love you guys and would love nothing more then to have the best possible experience on y’all’s app while looking at all the great Bronco parts y’all carry instead of having to look at the slow website.
Overall I really enjoy this app, if there was anything to change I’d say be more specific with with how well pictures match up to parts being purchased. I bought what I thought was a rear bumper with tire swing gate. Most extreme terrain pictures will highlight the part they are selling in pictures, but in this case the whole bumper was shown in all 5 pictures. Of course I was happy with how fast I was able to return the part and buy what I really needed. Again this small hiccup did not stray me away from buying parts in the future.
The app works great, but there are two really annoying features. First, it’s really annoying to have to log-in every single time I use the app. Even if it has only been a few minutes since I was on the app, it logs me out and I have to enter the password again. There’s no Face ID compatibility and not even an option to trust the device for a period of time. The other irritation is the pop-up you get every time you log-in asking you to sign up for email notifications. These “features” annoy me enough that I often shop elsewhere because the company’s website is even worse.
This a great app and very convenient. I’m able to look at jeep parts while on the go. I have no complaints but just suggestions that would make it that much better. Instead of just showing the parts on a Jeep your color I feel that you should be able to see a full 360 of your personal build and whenever you get new parts you can add to the 360 build so you can see 100% what it’ll look like. And if you were able to comment on other people’s builds that would be nice. I’d say 4 out of five stars but I’m just putting three to try and get more attention to see if any of these thing a will happen. Thank you and keep up the great work!
I loved using this app to view different sized tires on my exact jeep before buying them!! I’ve only my bumpers through the app so far and had a little trouble purchasing them at first (I put in all the shipping/billing information and it brought me to the order confirmation page and then when i left the app and refreshed it, both bumpers were still in my cart and i had to go through the process again a couple times-not a big deal). other than that the app has been super useful and i can’t stay off it!!
I have yet to order anything through this app, however I do prefer shopping within the app over the website. I like all the features on the app but most of all the app saves all of your prospective upgrades so every time you want to take a look you don’t have to search it again and again. Great way to keep your build organized and all in one place. 5 stars.
This app is amazing, products are easy to find, easy to buy, staff is always a call away to help. When ordering I accidentally ordered two pairs of headlights and I called and they took care of it in 2 minutes and the money was back in my account the next day. And if you need help installing a product they are extremely knowledgeable and will guid you through the whole thing
I have a 2020 JL. When I first bought it this app was very useful. I've just watched it get buggier and buggier over the last three years. It's now almost completely useless. You have to log in every time, if you save parts in your list and then try to view them, you only have the option of looking at random people's Jeeps (but only Jeeps of people who have installed aftermarket front bumpers), and once you save a part to your wishlist, it's there for life. I pretty much recommend using it to get a general idea of what you want and then purchasing the parts from the manufacturers.
I love extreme terrain and personally would use it daily without fail but their shipping only caters to continental states. I truly wish they could expand beyond to Hawaii. I am forced to shop at 4wheel parts which I hate all because they can’t ship here. Please expand on your shipping and you will rule the off road world especially for the 30k military people over here who own Jeeps.
This app is laggy, bug-ridden, and just generally broken all the time. I am on the latest version, so it’s not a matter of being up to date. I can’t delete things from my wish list. When you click certain things it brings you back to the “homepage” instead of where the link is supposed to bring you. Nothing is updated on the front page where they show you “builds”, it’s just the same hideous looking Heep I’ve seen for years now, never anything new. This app needs help, because it could be great, but it seems neglected.
Whenever I click on anything the app brings me right to the “customer photo” section and not the product page. I’m trying to look up an item from a previous order so I could watch the installation video and it just brings me back to the customer photo section. Instead, I have to look up the specific item from the shopping section but even that isn’t made easy. I have to actually go online to a browser to try and find the product and the directions. This app is totally useless.
I’ve been looking around for some things for my 2006 Jeep I’ve recently bought and either it was hard to find or too expensive but as soon as I found this app I’ve been looking at it all the time,it’s got what I need for great prices and quality. Definitely would recommend this if your looking to upgrade or fix your jeep! :)
I really like the app, I’ve already submitted my idea of how to make the app better. I don’t like that if I’m looking at a part it’ll recommend a part that doesn’t fit my model or year but is similar to what I’m looking for, that’s the only annoying feature. Otherwise I love the app and have purchased a few parts through here already. I just purchased my 2019 wrangler 2 months ago and need parts lol
I came across this website after purchasing a Jeep myself & wanted to see what upgrades/information/items I could add to my new current love of Jeeps & this site DELIVERED! So of course I downloaded the App IMMEDIATELY!!! And the App....it’s so easy to navigate, so much information packed into an app & easy to make purchases from/keep up with purchases too! I love Extreme Terrain App.
I don’t understand how you can go on the website through a web browser and be able to pick the gladiator and Toyota, and all of these other makes and models, but not on the app itself. This needs a major update. I used to own a wrangler, and this was one of the only apps that I used. Now I own a gladiator, and I can no longer use the app. It would be really nice to be able to go back to a reliable app. if the app gets updated, I will give it a five star.
So this app is very useful for parts and research, and I like it a lot, but it is WROUGHT, RIDDLED, CRAWLING with bugs and glitches. To name a few: Click on a customer image in a product: Error You’re scrolling through products on the ship tab, you tap on the saved tab, or any other, and switch back to the shop tab, and it goes back to categories. Forget your previous search. Try to remove certain products from a saved list: Error Having to login every single time you open the app, no matter if you literally JUST closed it. Right now, these bugs drive me away from this app. Bugs like these make this app infuriating to use and it would be highly appreciated if these bugs would be ironed out for the end user.
Easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. Customer service is some of the most helpful and friendliest I had the pleasure to deal with. If you own a Jeep this will definitely help you find the parts you need. Some issues like it kept crashing and sometimes you would lose the page you were just looking at. But very pleased with what I have experienced so far.
This app is great and quickly looking at parts for your jeep! The issue comes when you order your parts The biggest issue I have is when you order the part you want…. I have order 5 items from this app. 3 of the time I was missing parts …… missing bolts or a completely wrong product in the box ! Should’ve listen to my wife when she told me not to order my last parts from this site …… I hate when she’s right hahaha
The app is great and I really like all of the products that I purchased and plan on doing all of my business with ExtremeTerrain in the future parts arrive when they are supposed to and in great shape I don’t have a single complaint and I’m happy the guy at work told me about your company. Awesome job folks and keep up the great work. Also very helpful people to deal with.
Easy to use and well organized. Love using the search feature to find the items I am looking for. Excellent prices and very competitive. Being able to read reviews on items before purchase helps with making the decisions on similar items. Will be purchasing many more things for my Jeep from ExtremeTerrain!
Could you guys add a feature to your app for when you buy a exterior part for your car it shows you a photo of your build progress (like a model of the car with the parts you’ve bought for it) because you guys just show the stock model of your car on the top of the screen on categories
App doesn’t think you can have more than 1 car then shop for. Shop for my son in law- I get inundated with parts for his truck. I have to switch back for my Jeep, my wife’s Jeep and his truck. Things randomly work - can’t click shipping link easily, click a micron off and you go look at someone else’s pictures. Click to add photos - and the select button doesn’t work. You can’t click on your purchase to provide a review even..
I see this app is rated highly, but my experience has not been stellar. It dinks around with my login does a few laps for whatever reason. it just doesn’t seem to flow as well as many websites like I can’t put in multiple vehicles, takes forever to change screens much longer than a website, I don’t find the user interface intuitive. I appreciate their attempt, but I think they need to do one more version.
It’s hard to find good quality off road parts at competitive prices, they carry a good mix of true off road parts and parts that are for the off road looks as well. The new app makes it very easy to visit and check out what is new and on sale, also great promotions.
I love this app. I’m finding all kinds of things I would like to get. I wish I had found out about it about 4 years ago, it would have saved me about $200 dollars. My local Jeep dealer charged me that for a hinge for the back window. If I can get it from you guy’s I will. I won’t be going back to rip off shimkat motors.
Fantastic app but there is no option for making “your Jeep” a gladiator. They have the option on their website but not for their app. It’s been about a year since the JT rolled out so it should be transferred over by now. However once it is implemented it will be a 5 star app. Super user friendly and awesome social media feel to it with users sharing pictures. Would still recommend it to app WRANGLER owners
I myself have not yet purchased a jeep but i’m in the market for one currently, and i’ve got to say this app has been super helpful with information that i wasn’t aware of, price estimates for upgrades, and much more! I can for sure say that when i do purchase, i will be bringing my business here!!
I have an account on extreme terrain but I can’t log into it on the app. When I select the log in it takes me to a screen where I’m supposed to set a password which I can’t do since I already have the account and it tells me that the email is already in use. The app is only allowing people to use it if you are creating a new account which is stupid because I have been pinning and making lists of stuff I would like to purchase for a while now.
The app is worth haveing on your phone, no doubt. This app is really good for jeep owners like myself. Not only do they have good videos and tutorials on installations of the parts they sell. They have parts and upgrades for good prices. No matter the wallet size you can get something off of this site and know it's good quality.
This isn’t a Jeep parts app like the name implies. It’s a Wrangler parts only app. I’m sure the app works fine for Wranglers but I Downloaded it to search for parts for my Jeep GLADIATOR. Tried for 30 mins to change my vehicle from a Wrangler to a Gladiator before I realized it couldn’t be done. ExtremeTerrain sells parts for both. They should include mod parts for all Jeep brands in this app. ExtremeTerrain is a good site but I’ll just go to the website and not be using this app
This is a great company that has produced an app. Their products are excellent and always come with instructional videos to help you install or use whatever it is. I’ve been very happy with their customer service as well as pleased with the interface on the app. This is the best way to get your jeep ready for the trail!
Works fine to search & order, can’t change my vehicle!
The app works fine to order parts, research parts, etc. The staff have been helpful when needed and the prices are comparable to other spots. All good… I sold my JL and replaced it with a TRD Pro. The app will not allow me to change the vehicle. When I go on to edit vehicle it gives different years, not types.
I’ve bought a few things and I use some of the features in the app and so far it’s amazing, I don’t have to go online and login every time. Fun to scroll through the products and see what people built. 10/10 would recommend
The app works great, very easy to navigate and whatnot. This review is for the company themselves. They’re a joke. All about accepting money, but the moment their website has something with an inaccurate description you’re ignored. I ordered a part, turned out to be incorrect. Total of 9 hours waiting on hold, 7 emails without a reply. I’ve had enough, figured I’d let the world know this company is ran by crooks. Order from them at your own risk
My favorite part about the app is being able to see all the mods in my model/color. Awesome to see the photos of other TJ mods with the product listed below in case I love it enough to purchase too. Extreme Terrain has easily become my favorite spot to shop for my Jeep.
The App and the website are absolute trash. The app sends me on an endless redirect loop to pictures of other people’s jeeps instead of the parts that I’m trying to order. I then try to use the website and the website glitched and the wrong part was ordered. Now their customer service tells me the order is locked and there is no way to modify or cancel the order, and I have to wait until it’s shipped and pay to have it returned. What a scam.
I love this app because I own a Jeep and it gives me an option to look at pictures to see how thins look before I buy them plus a tutorial video link to install them and easy purchase link as well love the app highly recommend
Extreme Terrain has a wide variety of products you can choose from along with videos to back up most products showing them and showing how to install the product. There’s even a page to see other peoples builds!!
Where’s the Gladiator gear?? They’ve been out 3 years now! You have stuff on your website so……. Also, why does this app not scale correctly for my IPad? It says....for IPad.... but it’s really just a stretched phone app that doesn’t let me see the entire pages. Maybe I’m just technically challenged but I don’t think so. Let’s design an actual app for IPads....not like I’m the only person who has one.
The ExtremeTerrain app makes shopping for and purchasing OEM parts, accessories, etc for Jeep Off-Road enthusiasts easier than I ever thought possible. It had an easy to use and well run interface. No crashing issues or anything like that. Excellent app.
Literally my favorite shopping app!!! They know my vehicle and send me recommendations and I get to see other people builds. As a new Jeep owner who doesn’t know what exactly I want the finished product to be this app is easy to look and see what I want and need.
I have ordered a number of times for ET website but the app is poorly written for the iPad (does not get reformatted for the larger screen). Also, functionality seems outdated. No method for retaining password and/or utilizing finger print or facial identity for basic login, which is cumbersome for viewing with list and/or doing research. If additional verification is needed it should be limited to account information/changes and ordering.
This app will only let me set vehicle as a wrangler. I even went onto my account in a web browser and changed it to my gladiator and the app didn’t update. The app has me log in, and then either select my wrangler or create a new one. Considering how many vehicle options there are on the website, you need to update the app to match.
Downloaded the app this even due to buying another Jeep after selling my last one. After downloading kept getting an error message. Stating to close and restart the app. After deleting the app and reinstalling it x2. I contacted support for help. They want you to pay them $5.00 to report an issue on their page. This sounds like a load of crap if you ask me. (Yes I screen shot it for proof)
