Online live tournament from this game a feeder platform
Having players qualify at levels scoring at predictable transparent amounts for one player a year. This should allow most players a great shot once a year or so to qualify for time slots that could be broadcast ( and bid on preferential slots, but one time slot per player per tournament). You might even allow trades with holders of different time slots, entrances fee (some as prizes) ext. I think it could well be as exciting as playing. I see comments on being in “live games “ make me ponder what could be done with a tournament where you control the expense, time of a limited resource but still build a spirit like Alex putting a human touch to it. It makes your game version a higher level feeder for your game setup. In regards to my star rating their is no room/place in a digital world to show how hard I’m leaning to a five star. Even Alex wasn’t a five star every day. But what he demonstrated was even “bigger “ then the perfect 5 star score for all of his human flaws as judged by many if not all( a strong four leaning to a perfect 5🤔)Thanks-Rx

Hope the creators read this! ❤️❤️❤️
Update: we love playing but the categories are redundant. When will the categories be updated and more random? My parents are elderly. Dad is 85, Mom will be 84 in September. Me and my 2 sisters (and random other family members depending on the time/day) visit my parents every Sunday. We have lunch and then we clean up and do whatever. Then my Dad sits down in his chair and says, “Okay, I’m ready”. I cannot tell you how long we’ve been playing this game. Regardless, this game has been a Godsend!!!! First and foremost it stimulates and re-engages my parents’ brains and thought processes. They forget a lot more of day-to-day things, but I swear, this “game”? God sent! They are so smart, makes us kids (ages +50) look like dummies! There have been a few wrong things with the answers and spelling within the game, but I tell you, as much as my folks look forward to Sunday visits, they REALLY look forward to playing this game. (I couldn’t go a couple of weeks ago and they told my sisters to be sure t bring their iPads so they could play without me.) Lastly, this game has brought family together! Even when the grands and great grands visit, we still play Jeopardy (if they don’t want to play, they are excused from the room....seriously!) Thank you to whomever created this game. You have NO idea what a positive impact this has had on my parents lives and the lives of our whole family. It has truly become a weekly ritual. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

They never fix problems
I’ve been playing Jeopardy now for several years. I was the leader of a team, but I quit the team because I feel your games are all predetermined and fake. Here’s why I feel they are predetermined and fake: 1. In all the years that I’ve been playing, not once have I been notified that I have been in a random game versus someone else. Why is that? One would think that maybe even once over the past several years I would have known I was randomly chosen to play in a game? I feel all games are similar. Predetermined and fake. People don’t even know they’re playing because they’re NOT! Your computer is playing for them. 2. Another reason that your games are predetermined and fake. Why is it that in Final Jeopardy, the person in the lead NEVER gets a wrong answer and COULD lose, except ME!! 3. About a year or two ago, for about one week, I never lost a game and my winnings went up many many millions!! How could that happen unless the games are predetermined and fake. Also, whoever I contact you via email I’m always asked to send a screenshot!! But nothing ever happens to fix anything. For example, virtually ever other screen while I’m in the App, I keep getting this “oops something went wrong “ when nothing did. This has been happening for over a year. Not fixed. Fix these issues once and for all and do the games like Words with Friends. LIVE GAMES. That’s the only way we the players will know that there are no shenanigans going on.

Game could be great, but....
I'm a big trivia nerd and watch Jeopardy every single day, so I thought this game would be great. It has potential, but falls short of what it could be. For one, I wish it played more like the real game and instead of points converting into money, you simply played for money. It's hard to know what your points convert to in dollars. And it's absolutely absurd that you can win the entire game and not even break even with how much you paid to play. I understand that the more points you have, the more money you get, but there shouldn't be a situation where you win and don't cover your cost of playing, that's just dumb and clearly trying to get you to have to pay in order to keep playing. I've also only been playing for a couple of weeks now (Level 12) but am already getting a lot of repeat questions. Clearly too, you aren't playing against real people but rather the computer as it never works out that "they" don't make it to the final Jeopardy round - they always manage to eek out some points at the end, even getting more than one double jeopardy in a round when I've always only gotten one at most. The game is just ok. The developers could make some improvements to make so much better and not have players feel like they're just trying to make us pay for being able to play. I'd rather pay a set fee to "buy" the game then have it nickel and dime me along the way.

I like it but…
I really like watching/playing along with Jeopardy. So when I downloaded the app, I thought it’d be like the show. It is in some ways and it isn’t in others.. it’s the same as far as the funny category names, questions, and having two competitors. But it’s different because there are only multiple choice questions (you can’t type an answer), you don’t have to wait for your competitor’s response (which, to me, is a plus), and you don’t have to beat someone to press your buzzer to answer. The graphics are good and it’s fun that you get to go to different virtual locations and play Jeopardy. One of the things I didn’t like about this app was that you have to earn “cash” and pay at least 5k of it to play a game. That makes it very hard to play. You earn at least 12k dollars if you win a game so if you’re good at it, you get your money back and more. But.. if you’re not so great at it (like me) then you have to wait to get more cash to play again. You get payed by watching adds, actually buying money (by the way, the prices are crazy), or waiting to earn cash (you get one dollar every couple seconds). Anyway I really like this game because it’s fun to play when you’re bored, but the major and minor problems I have with it make it kind of hard to enjoy.

it’s my first playing in online game and I watched Jeopardy understand every night on TV I love Jeopardy! however this game is so hard to understand there’s not enough directions on how to play it I have no clue about the points in dollars and know when you’re playing against somebody you’re not and yeah I have never played any game online but I’ll tell you this one just makes no sense to me I just enjoy being able to answer questions correctly makes me feel smart feels good if ever I can raise my status but I have no idea how to win more or raise my points more just isn’t clear there’s not enough direction. And capital letters don’t biggest thing I noticed is on final Jeopardy there’s absolutely no time to both read the question and think about it and answer compared to the TV program the amount of time you have to answer is half and I feel like that’s completely unrealistic and unfair to the player I’ve enjoyed playing but I don’t know how much longer will it needs to be set up differently needs to be a lot more user-friendly and I was shocked to know that you were asked actually asking for more money in order to play more I didn’t realize games operated that way otherwise it’s fun to have jeopardy and playing sometimes I just wish I knew more about how to play itIt definitely is not explained well at all from start to finish how to play thank you

Completely rigged!!
This is super fun when you first start… I won seven in a row then 10 in a row, and was sucked into buying extra gold bars in cash because then you are trying to just keep your status As you climb the ladder to different cities, yet they cost a hell of a lot more for work basically zero progress unless you put money into it!! That’s how you’re able to play only if you have enough money. My biggest issue and problem; However, the game is completely rigged as far as the questions you answer... I know this for a fact because I purposely did not answer any Shakespeare questions so every single time I started to play the game Shakespeare questions appeared. After you have put in money all of a sudden you get categories that the game realizes you are not adept to answer as proficiently as you are others so, consequently you’re fighting a losing battle because it particularly picks the Categories, and sets you up for failure knowing that you were not well suited for the (certain categories you’re not proficient) those are the only categories it gives you! That becomes extremely frustrating! Don’t waste your money, and just play for fun… Do not buy anything it’s just a set up and you will then find yourself with categories consistently that you are Not well-versed in, and then becomes frustrating to no end!!

Great game
Love the game it is fantastic! Tons of categories and questions. Rarely do you see a duplicate question. Lifelines make the game fun because most of us are not human encyclopedias. They can get a little carried away with the shoving challenges down your throat and the constant showing your standing is unnecessary. I wish I could shut off the people challenging me and my standings. I don’t care about either of those but I have to click through them each time I log in. They love to try and force you to sign on with Facebook. I refuse to do it but lately every. Single. Time. I log in I have to hit cancel because it is trying to force me to sign in with Facebook, starting to really frustrate me, if I haven’t done it by now I am not interested in doing it! Sadly I really like the game BUT if one of these days I accidentally hit confirm instead of cancel on the force Facebook login I will immediately delete the app and not down load it again. That’s why I am giving 3 stars, don’t try and force stuff on me if I have clearly said no. I send money on the game, so I get to choose what I do on it. Honestly I considered the monthly subscription till they started that force Facebook sign in. For the developers seriously guys stop with the repeated request, let us click yes or no once.

Very Upset after $20 gold bar purchase changed my app!!
Cannot seem to find a way to contact customer service or I wouldn’t be writing a bad review and instead would’ve given Sony a chance to fix my issue. Unfortunately, this is the only way for me to hopefully get attention and my account working again. Developers, Please Please Please contact me. After purchasing Gold bars I now have no way to earn gold bars or cash. This is upsetting as the game progresses it requires more of both just to play a game. Forget completing daily goals, I’m lucky if I get to play a game a day. Please, someone help. I’d love to change my review to 5 stars. Again, apologies for my method of contact in attempts to change this. I hope we can resolve this issue in a fair and timely manner. I would have never spent that much actual money had I known certain features would’ve been taken away. I feel there should be a warning about that. Is there really even a way to play this game without spending money on it?? It’s rigged a little unfairly in my opinion. But I’m not deleting it until I give you all a chance to make it right. The way Customer Service handles this will have the power to change my whole experience. Hoping for a better experience... Also, there was an error in the beginning where it merged my 2 accounts?? That was weird. Just remembered that as I was writing this. Thanks in advance.

I don’t understand
I’ve won a good amount of times, and sometimes I win by a lot. But I’ve never gotten any more than 3k when I win. Which is ridiculous considering I’m spending 5k-10k to play a round. How does that make any sense and how does this game have good reviews? Supposedly you can win up to 40k on one and 80k on the second one I unlocked. But i can’t even make enough back to play another round when I do win. What a waste of time. And I’m assuming it’s possible I’m not making very much because even though I’ve won I have a “low amount of points still” but I should atleast have enough to play again. Seems like you win and get no reward. I’m also not the only one with this problem, my boyfriend mentioned it as well and we enjoyed playing against each other but at the end of the day it’s not worth it and there’s tons of other games that we can play against each other and actually play the actual game as well. Obviously the game isn’t terrible, and it probably doesn’t deserve only one star, I enjoyed it while it lasted, but I don’t see why I would keep this downloaded if I can’t even play most of the time even when I'm winning. Hopefully they’ll get a better payout system for people who do win, whether they have a lot of points or not. Because I don’t want to wait around forever to get free cash just to win and not be able to play again until I can get more free cash.

Rigged, greedy, monotonous
Even if you get every question right and both daily doubles, and double all your money with a correct final Jeopardy answer, you can (and most often will) lose. The game is rigged against you so that not only will you have to pay to win, but you will eventually have to pay just to play. When you first start playing, you are given lots of double point bonuses - which are almost always necessary for winning the game, especially as you progress. As you play more, however, you hardly ever find double-point bonuses and subsequently it becomes impossible to beat the other "players" which are really just computer bots. And here's where the greed of the developers shines through: playing requires in-game "cash", and you only get cash by winning games. Want to win? You need to use gold bars to get double-point bonuses. How do you get gold bars? Using real money. As you progress, the computer bots you're playing against will almost never get a wrong answer. And they will ALWAYS get the daily double later in the game, whereas you will almost always get the daily double on the first or second question. And they will ALWAYS have double-point bonus as well. Essentially, you have to pay to play this "free" game. If the developers were just less openly greedy it could actually be enjoyable for more than five minutes.

Disappointing algorithm
This game has so much potential and I started playing it to keep my mind sharp. But it is clear you aren’t playing with “real” people- you can zero out but no one you are “paired with” ever does, as they would in real life. Their algorithm is frustrating because sometimes the game seems relatively easy or a good blend of easy and challenging and other times it is ridiculously hard for dozens of games in a row with no let up. There are occasionally duplicate clues which I don’t mind as I feel like I am learning something. But the game feels engineered to make you purchase extra cash to play. I would rather pay for the game outright as I know the developer needs to make money. But I can’t stand games that try to force you to complete in app purchases just to continue playing. As mentioned in other reviews it is incredibly lame that you can sometimes earn less with a win than you “paid” to play that round. And lower cheaper rounds are no easier than more expensive ones, again leaving you with no choice but to log in every four hours to accrue funds to play or pay for them (which I won’t do). Different levels become increasingly expensive to play but the bank takes forever to dole out the next level of “cash” again requiring you to log in without playing for days to accrue enough to play.

Ok, but buggy and badly designed
I like this enough to keep playing for now because I like Jeopardy and trivia, but this game is badly designed (all this developer’s games follow the same paradigm) and will probably lose me soon. The incessant advertisements are annoying, sometimes you get the same exact question twice on the same board, questions are repeated enough across games (so there is seemingly no effort at improving randomization), and I even just had a question that listed the same exact (verbatim) correct answer twice (some data entry bug on behalf of the developer) and lost points because I happened to choose the duplicate correct answer that wasn’t the one marked as the answer. The logic for advancement is nonsensical and convoluted… the entire reward system just feels like a slot machine. I hate the constant prompts and notifications to sign into Facebook, a dying platform nobody wants to be on that has repeatedly demonstrated it cannot be trusted with PII. There is no way to report bugs. The app is constantly trying to pump cash out of you while offering terrible UX. It’s really sad that these beloved game shows keep contracting apps out to such a mediocre development company because it reflects poorly on the overall brand of the game.

Has some issues
I really thought I was going to love this game. I love Jeapordy and I love trivia games and this had potential to be great but it has too many issues to be a good, playable game. I can deal with the fact that a lot of the categories and clues are things that no one would ever know..that’s not even the problem. The problem is the money part of the game. You have to pay to play every game, and when you win, you don’t even win your money back for paying into the game. In fact, you don’t even win the full amount of what you earn. And you only get money if you are the winner, so lose a couple of rounds and your pretty much done. For example, I just came on to play and I had 7.8 thousand dollars. I played two rounds costing me 5,000 a piece. I won both rounds. Each round I won around 5,000. And yet, after the second win, I only had 4.8 thousand in my bank. It doesn’t make any sense at all. After two wins I literally didn’t even have enough money to play a third round, and I would have at least had that if they gave me all my earnings, but after winning 5,000, they only added 3.2 to my bank. I get that they want you to spend money by buying more money, but that’s kind of ridiculous and unfair. Probably won’t continue playing this game because of it.

Was fun, has now become frustratingly difficult
I’ve been playing this game for a few months now and have had a lot of fun with it, but lately it seems impossible to win matches. The difficulty might increase as you progress in the game, but on matches where I answer all questions correctly and have maxed wagers for double and final Jeopardy I still consistently lose. Sometimes the winning score for other players seems impossible when compared to how much their score was before final or Double Jeopardy making the game seem rigged. It’s curious however that after I spend more difficult to win gold on cash to play games or have spent actual money in the store, the difficulty seems to decrease and I start to win matches. With as many advertisements that run through the whole gameplay it should not be necessary to force players to buy things in order to win matches. This may just be my frustration from not winning, however I’ve read other reviews that mention the exact same thing so it seems to be a trend. When I first started playing it was enjoyable and I really loved it. I still play daily, but it’s getting to the point of becoming un-enjoyable because it’s impossible to even progress.

This Developer Knows How to Frustrate Users and Drive Them Away
I have allowed myself to be strung along by this unusually cumbersome platform under the hope that I could eventually get to the level where my cash award would increase from $3.9M every three hours to $7.68M every three hours. I have faithfully answered the trivia questions and collected meager gems over the past months (dare I say nearly a year) and was so close to completing my two weakest categories (it takes a loooooooooong time to earn gems in this game). I had been planning to quit the game when I doubled my coin bank because I can only guess what insurmountable challenge awaited a mere mortal beyond that point. The developer forced me out early. Their latest update allows me to earn $765,000 every 15 hours. So I went from $3,900,000 every three hours to $765,000 every 15 hours. That’s right! This is not a typographical error. They randomly made a hugely regressive app update. That is what I have come to expect from this app. It is almost like they play drinking games to brainstorm for update ideas (good, bad, inane or otherwise). It really is the silliest, most random app governance I have ever seen. In fact, this is the first app that I have ever taken time to review (it is that awful). Uken/Jeopardy!, I won’t be around to see the next wacky update you concoct! Bye bye!

Feels like a casino
It’s fun and I weirdly feel like I’m learning a lot but with all the constant shiny adds trying to get you to spend just a little bit more, you’re constantly reminded their primary goal is to make money off the app. Don’t get me wrong; that’s their prerogative and the game IS fun. It’s definitely doable to play and not spend much but as you progress the stakes go up, so do the points required to win-that means using modifiers(which cost gold bars- not easily accumulated without spending actual money). You pretty much can’t win without modifiers past a certain point. 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you go into it with the goal of having fun and learning rather than winning, you’re better off- but it will be slow going as the only way to win money to play with is to come in first and the only way to do that without modifiers is to play with relatively low betting amounts that won’t win you as much. My only other complaint is that you can’t add a profile picture without a social media account. I realize I’m probably in the minority here, but I got rid of Facebook in so much as you can get rid of Facebook years ago but I’d still like to be able to add a profile picture to my jeopardy account.

Addictive & fun, also infuriating 😬
Jeopardy World Tour is first of all incredibly addictive, a fun game with new challenges each week if you want that cute new stamp, frame or background. I stayed up Way too late playing to get the Spring flowers ensemble ! Meeting your daily bank challenge of 100 gold bars will buy you extra spins on the Daily Play wheel, and if you meet the challenge all week you get an additional 500 bars. I would never , ever in a million years spend Real Money in this game. If you have a general knowledge of trivia & keep to your go-to categories you can win & level up. That Said : eventually you will level up to a City that your gem bank won’t cover & you will have to make up those missing gems in your Achilles heel area. Wish I knew more about history & geography for sure. Not the worst part of this game however. The real reason I give it 3 stars instead of 5, is that you can run All your categories, a correct answer every time on the highest levels, then bet the whole thing in Final Jeopardy , get it right and Still Lose, to a Bot , that “got” a daily double . It’s total bs, & unfair. I will keep playing tho because I want that Mothers Day ensemble. But I will be fuming inside.

Fun but hate the recent change where almost have to spend real money
I’ve played this game almost every day now for awhile. It’s my favorite game to play on and off during my down time. Recently, however, they made a change that really frustrates me. Before you could play and work towards a goal of receiving a new banner or other decor for yourself and now they made it so you have to spend a ridiculous amount of gold, which you can win or buy, to unlock the same benefits which they call premium awards. If you don’t spend the gold you now receive just cash which you use play more games. They counteracted this by adding a new feature where if you win a game you get one point towards unlocking more experience, gold, cash or points randomly towards a category, which is great for boosting your stats. But, I really enjoyed unlocking new decal for my user and am really disappointed that one of the funnest and rewarding part of the game has been changed to where you almost have to spend money on the game!

Not designed to keep you playing
UPDATED REVIEW: I like this game even less after receiving a response from the Developer about my review below. This was the response about my comment that you pay more to play than you win back: “Your in-game winnings are based on your score - aim for around ~5-6,000 points during a game in order to "break even" in most rooms! The higher the room, the easier it is to walk away with winnings equal to or greater than your entry fee.” That just poor game design in my book. If I win the game, I shouldn’t lose money. I’m deleting this game from my phone and playing something that’s designed to keep me engaged. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like the questions and the pace... but there’s WAY too much happening in the pre-game screens. I think it’s all designed to make you buy stuff, but it’s over stimulating and confusing. And you pay more to play than you win back, so I often don’t have enough to play again. Which means I don’t play this game as often as I would want. The developers should take their money from advertisers instead of players. I don’t mind that I’m not playing real people, but I think the computer-players should be more like real players and not always make it to final jeopardy.

Used to be better
When the app first came out and I saw it advertised, I was excited to try it out and LOVED it! It was similar to traditional TV Jeopardy. However, there have been so many updates and changes to the app (particularly this past year) that it gradually became less like the traditional game, less user-friendly, and more complicated than it used to be. I notice some occasional glitches as well (i.e. my app freezes quite a bit, just randomly exits mid-game for no reason sometimes, doesn’t save game progress at times). It also costs a lot to play for long periods of time, especially when you’re playing to compete and win a tournament. I notice I spend more of my own personal money purchasing gold bars for my Jeopardy app than I pay for extras in all of my other gaming apps put together! Overall, it’s fun to play once in a while when I’m in the mood. I wish the quality and layout of the game was the same as it was when the app was new. The brain trusts, sale pop-ups, new weekly and daily goals changing all of the time, and the FB pop-ups get annoying and take away from the original creativity of this app. Sometimes simple is better.

Stopped working after last update :/
I give this 5 stars for the first 5 months, but after last update it now won’t fully load. When the game first comes up you’re automatically taken to a screen saying you have a chance to win money IF you update. However, you really don’t have a choice because the only way to get off this screen is to click the “update” button, which takes you to the App Store, giving you only the option to “open” (since you’ve already updated) and the cycle continues. No way to actually get into the game to play. I’ve restarted my phone several times and still the same situation. Please help, developers! Otherwise I love this game — both me and my SO play it often. Update: started working great for 1-2 months but suddenly froze up again — this time even before the game loads. All I get is a frozen screen with Alex Trebec, a “privacy policy” link and “terms of service” link. Clicking on either link doesn’t help the game load. Restarting app doesn’t work. Restarting phone doesn’t work. Waiting a day doesn’t work. Hoping a developer might see this and be able to help since I can’t even access customer support (a link contained within the game.)

Fun but rigged
I love this game and I enjoy playing it. I would have given this game a higher rating if it weren’t for two things. First, you must wait to play til you win more money or Buy more which is frustrating. It wouldn’t be so annoying if it weren’t for the the second thing which I REALLY have a problem with. You are always playing the computer, and the computer often gets more than one double jeopardy in single round. You as a player do not. That gives them an unfair advantage over you. Sooooo frustrating. This became very apparent to me during their latest tournament (event) “songs in the sun”. (Think rock and roll jeopardy). You can get every single question right, bet your full amount during your double jeopardy’s, and have a couple of double points bonuses and still loose because the computer you are playing gets a second or third double jeopardy before your final jeopardy. It’s the RIDICULOUSLY frustrating! Please fix this. If I, the player only gets one double jeopardy per round, so should the computer

Lures are boring and disengaging
While I love Jeopardy and am a trivia nerd, this game just has too many quirks to keep me engaged. It’s quirky that the other ‘players’ aren’t real. It’s overly apparent that the game is made so that you buy to play. If you don’t buy, it’s hard to keep going because the computer players will beat you, and your bank is quickly depleted. You’re very carefully watching your own progress so you don’t notice how the other ‘players’ are doing, but if you do, you quickly realize the scoring is strange. The home screen is muddied with way too many extra games and things which, again, are made to deplete your bank so that you make a purchase. Leveling up takes forever which ends up being boring and uninteresting. You barely make any progress and barely make enough stars to reach the next level. This was not fun and did nothing to motivate me or excite me. It was simply boring to stay for so long at the same place even though I was winning most of the time. Now that I’ve been playing for about 1-1/2 years and have seen how this game works, the only reason I ever play now is simply because I like to answer trivia questions. The rest of it is disappointing.

Rigged
So after seeing a lot of post on the same subject I started to keep track of, not only how many games I lose but how my opponents are winning. I’ve lost 10 games in a row by the exact same score, not point differential but the “person” who wins has the exact same score every time. In single jeopardy they always get the daily double on their third question and use a 2x points power up usually on their fourth and always on their fifth question. In double jeopardy they usually get the double jeopardy on their second question and use a 2x points power up at least twice at some point. I however get no 2x point power ups without wasting somewhere in the range of 120 to 200 gold, and I’ve “randomly” found the double jeopardy in single jeopardy on my first question and I didn’t see a double jeopardy in double jeopardy in any of my last 10 games. This is a really fun game and I love the different regions and the country specific questions, but if you don’t spend real money on gold it’s nearly impossible to beat the real people who do and the bots who know exactly where the double jeopardys are and have 4 2x point power ups. The winner of this game isn’t who gets the most questions right it’s the “person” who has the most gold.

Why are you punished for making in-game purchases?
When you buy something in the shop, you get bonus experience, which levels you up to the next stage before you can upgrade the bank. You quickly get to the point where you can NEVER play your highest stage because the bank capacity isn’t nearly large enough. You can’t do any of the events, or earn much of anything, unless you play on your highest stage. You basically get screwed for making in-app purchases, and it’s also ridiculous that you have to spend over $10 just to get an ad-free game. As for the actual game, half of the categories are about the Bible or Shakespeare, so if you aren’t interested in these topics, too bad for you. Whenever you win a game, you are still going to LOSE money unless you got a very high score, so you are bound to lose all your money, and then you just can’t play anymore. It’s even more ridiculous because the game is a complete ripoff with the money they ration out. This is a slimy business tactic that is based off taking advantage of people with addictive personalities, and I’m sure Trebek would be disappointed to have his face plastered all over this immoral cash grab.

The Algorithm is too tight - cheats with bots
Have loved this game (I’m almost at level 100) but now it is rigged so tight it is no longer fun to play. There used to be better bonuses, gameplay etc., but if you play close attention, the bots always get the daily double (around third question), never miss a question and final Jeopardy is always rigged to be your worst topic with the most random questions - things no one would know. The questions are also very old fashioned and geared towards the East Coast (and I’m not young). I also get the same categories over and over again in a row - which is really strange. This game also malfunctioned. I had a few hundred gold bars, logged in again and over 200 were just gone. Don’t waste your money on the game - it cheats. There have also been a few wrong answers. There are bots everywhere that look like real people. I run a club and have gone through numerous members and not one has written on the message board- hmm... New “members” come on strong for a day or two, then have no game play for weeks after (all levels, same pattern). I feel whoever is running this game has now just gotten greedy and sloppy. It’s sad, because it used to be my favorite.

Disingenuous in-app store design
I recently went to the Jeopardy power-up store to see what I had to purchase in order to get rid of the same minute-long ads that play TWICE in each game. What I found was that the developer has established a way to do that, which is promoted immediately as I enter the store. However, there are two different commodities the user must coordinate: VIP levels which are somehow generated by making in-app purchases. The in-app purchases are assigned various quantities of points, but it’s impossible to know how many points are required to achieve the VIP level that allows ad-free play. When I inquired about this, I received prompt response: a non-answer that said as much as I’ve written in this review. When I asked again, I received the same ambiguous response. When I pressed further, support admitted that there is a formula, but they do not disclose that information to users: only the development team has that information. This sort of policy is the stuff class action lawsuits are made of. It is slightly deceptive and predatory. Given the experience I’ve had with the store, the game has lost a lot of credibility. Players beware!

Could be better.
I grew up with jeopardy and I am still in love with it to this day. But this is game isn’t even close to what real jeopardy is and sets you up to fail. You will put in 5k for a game and will make less than what you put in, making it hard to play another game. This game is clearly centered around money, and wants you to pay to play for every single little thing in the game. Not only do they constantly ask you for money, but the game is very overwhelming. There are constant pop ups, “new deals”, ads, and many distracting features. It is difficult to navigate. Considering that the majority of individuals playing this game are adults, this game seems like it was made by a 7 year old. I like the questions for the most part, but everything else about the game almost completely defeats the purpose of playing jeopardy. Jeopardy should be challenged and focused, not all over the place with colors, random deals, and pop-ups. This should be an easy to navigate adult game, not a colorful child’s game. 2 stars because the questions are pretty decent, but would give one star otherwise.

Jeopardy Experience
I really enjoy playing this game. It starts out slow, but once you get the knack of it, it becomes more interesting. The representatives are very responsive and willing to assist with all questions I have. The problem is I have so many questions. It takes too much time to ask about all of them. It seems to me that the instructions are not very complete. Like for example, when you get a game, you’re allowed to watch a video in order to select a different power up, but I’ve noticed lately that there are times when I don’t have the option to get a second chance at selecting a different one I also have a hard time locating or figuring out what my current status is in a particular city or country. For example, how many more games do I have to win in order to get the stars? The only other frustrating item is watching the ads. Sometimes you watch certain ads and they won’t give you the points for watching them or they won’t make it easy for you to exit them properly. They make you get done and done and done X. I’m sure most people feel that way. Ads are always annoying. Fortunately, as I learned to play the game better, it offsets any of the negatives, but there is definitely several techniques that could make it much more easy at least for me. I will continue playing Jeopardy thank you Uken!

A Money Making Scheme Throughout All Aspects of Gameplay
I got this game about 5 days ago, and it appeared fun at first. The questions are extremely similar to those you’d find on the show, and that’s about all you need in a Jeopardy mobile game. Instead, the developers of this game have rigged it to prevent players from rising in rank unless they spend money. The questions presented to you are organized into categories. The game tracks what categories you succeed in, and which ones you struggle in. Even though this feature is hidden, it’s clearly intentional. If a player has a high winning streak the game will give them questions that they struggle in. It does this so that the player is forced to spend money on the in-game currency. Without this currency the player is unable to enter matches and progress. I can’t tell you how many times in the last 5 days I’ve gone bankrupt (in the game) after having had a winning streak of 2 matches. This tactic of money making is extremely similar to what the show Jeopardy did to Ken Jennings. Not to mention, the introduction of power ups as another way to pay to progress. This game is a hollow sham.

Only Jeopardy option, unfortunately.
I love playing Jeopardy on my echo show, but the iOS app is so greedy for your money and rarely gives you winning amounts of money when you win a game. To explain, you have to use your “cash” to pay to play a round of Jeopardy—the cost varies from city to city, the more cash you pay, the higher amounts you could “possibly win” if you win the round you “paid for” with your cash. Only, when you win, you win LESS money than the round cost you to begging with. For example, you “pay” $10k for a round of Jeopardy; you win the round and only get paid $7k and not on top of what you paid to play, that’s in TOTAL, your total win is $3k LESS. So, it’s like, “Yay I won the round, but my prize is a $3k loss?” I should AT LEAST win the amount I paid to play when I win a round. I mean, what kind of racket is that? Congrats, you lost money, that’s your prize, to lose money. And don’t get me started on the cost of “cash” and gold bars. Greedy app. Super greedy, stingy, rip-off, app. If they want to make you “win” less “cash,” they should at least make “cash” much much cheaper (like 50k for .99).

Awful
There is a truism that you cannot serve two masters. Here Jeopardy we see two main purposes. The overriding ultimate purpose is a machine to make money. Sadly, this is yet another Apple iOS money grab. The second more interesting purpose is to faithfully reproduce the experience of watching Jeopardy on TV to the game. It’s clear that the developers they had are not top developers like you would get from MIT. If you had really great developers, it would be very interesting to see how close you could get to the experience of the TV show. I imagine you could use chat GPT and other artificial intelligence. Fortunately, you have years and years of actual game transcripts that can be fed into the database for the AI.. Given that you should be able to give questions with open, ended responses and understand if the responses are correct. For example, you could ask who invented relativity if I type in Einstein or Albert Einstein it should allow this is a correct answer. If I type in Stravinsky, it should indicate that is not the right answer. Then you could pull categories and questions from the huge library of transcripts of the show.

Simply unfair
I like to play this a lot. I love trivia and have always loved Jeopardy. But the game is rigged against you. It has taken me months of playing everyday since I made it to Athens and I still can’t get my bank to tier 11. So I basically have to wait all day to play one game in Athens. Sure I could spend $25 and play 6 games but that is a rip off. They have a daily lottery board for prizes. In the time they’ve had it I’ve never hit the 6.4 million box once, and I’ve played more than I’d like to say (insomnia). The players in your level never lose money at the end and they always hit their daily doubles and 2x on the last question. It just makes it unfair. They recently added another way to collect money and points but in order to get it you have to play the highest level. If you don’t want to spend real money then you don’t really benefit. I’ve probably spent $75 on the game over the past three years. I did it because I enjoy it. But it’s getting to the point where I’m going to stop. It’s rigged against you to pay money. It’s really not fair.

Fun, but could be improved!
This game is very fun and I’m definitely hooked. However, there are a few things that are frustrating about the game play. First of all, it is way too hard to accumulate enough money to play more than one or two rounds at a time. I have to wait hours to accumulate enough money to enter a round in the lowest level (Los Angeles). I’ve never had enough money to enter any of the special challenge rounds...and I’ve played a lot! I think it should be a little bit easier to earn cash without having to make an in-app purchase - so much of the game is limited by this factor. I also think there’s just too much going on in the app. It could be simplified a bit, I have been playing for awhile now and still don’t know what half of the random challenge games are. Keep it simple! The game itself is very fun and addicting. I think the scoring could be improved by just playing for money instead of points. Again, the simpler the game play the better to me. Overall a good, fun game but has some areas of improvement for sure!

Game reverses purchases and steals points back etc 😡
This app can be fun but when you pay money, it often has glitches from my experiences. I have had purchases reversed (but no money credited - had to contact the developer to fix). It has also reversed other types of in app purchases as well as points reversed and not restored. This always seems to happen after I have actually paid money to the app. Very unimpressive, frustrating and unprofessional. When I previously contacted the company/developer for assistance, the customer service was equally unimpressive. They gave me the impression that I was a nuisance for contacting them and restoring my purchase was doing me a favor - going out of their way...well, FYI , to not honor the purchase would be fraud. I may contact the BBB even though I have not spent a lot of money thankfully but that is frankly irrelevant. Will probably discontinue this game due to these problems. Buyer Beware! (Before paying money) as many apps do, they offer specials to entice players to make an in app purchase...think twice or ten times before you do it. You may be in for a big hassle like I have - more than once. Ridiculous. Very disappointing.

What even is this?
Aside from being trivia based, this has nothing to do with Jeopardy. I had to double check that it actually was the “official” Jeopardy app, and I was surprised to find it was. It feels like a game for kids with a thousand prompts and pop ups and unnecessary game functions. Jeopardy is straight forward and this app should be as well—categories, questions, money, end of story. Why does it look like a slot machine? What’s the point in playing with all these cheats you can “buy”? What’s the point in pretending you’re playing real people? And even if they were real people, the game play implies they’re working with a totally different set of categories and questions…? So it’s not even theoretically a fair competition if that’s the goal. Moreover what’s up with the animals or the sunglasses points…what is this insanity?! Trebek is rolling over in his grave. This isn’t Jeopardy and it’s not for Jeopardy lovers. This is clearly just candy crush reskinned with some trivia for the unintelligent masses who are stupid enough to spend money to cheat their way to feeling good at trivia. Shame on Jeopardy for selling the rights out to whatever this is.

IS THIS A MONEY GRAB? IMPOSSIBLE DAILY, WEEKLY & CLUB CHALLENGES MAKE IT SEEM THAT WAY
It seems that a lot of the reviews start with “I’ve been playing for years.” It’s troubling that so many loyal people have complaints but it seems that there are no changes. It makes me feel as my complaint will be pointless. I too have played for years & have gotten other people to play but since I’ve started playing I’ve always believed that your daily, weekly & club challenges are impossible. Of course challenges should be “challenging” but impossible is ridiculous. You have 24 hours to win 10 games in a wild that requires $320,000 per game. There are various ways to earn in game money but not enough to play 10 games within 24 hours. But you know how that’s possible? If you PURCHASE things within the game. I’ve noticed that “gold bars” are important in the game. Anything related to winning gold bars (like the weekly challenges) is impossible. But with purpose, that purpose being an attempt to get players to buy gold bars and make other inapp purchases.”

It’s an App and is created to make money....
Once you get that thought through your head, then you will understand why you have to ‘earn’ cash in order to play. Either you earn it or you pay for it. I have not gotten any double questions. But, I’ve gotten the same categories, when I play in the same place. Once you figure out how to work the bonuses (i.e., Point Doubler), it’s rather easy to beat the house (the concept is NOT that the house gets multiple Double Jeopardy questions, but that it gets and uses those bonuses). There are a few ways to earn cash, so just stick with the App for a while and figure it out. It’s clever and never freezes up. It's entertaining and has some great trivia. have no complaints about this App. Don’t listen to negative reviews. Those individuals may be frustrated because they don’t understand all the facets of the App—or, possibly , because they just keep losing.

Needs improvement!
The point structure for cost of games & payouts is absurd, needs to be based on how the real game works. Also, not a fan of how answers are formatted with 3 options to choose from. Please let me come up with the answer from “scratch”, like the real game. I understand that from a programming perspective it’s easier to provide the player with options to choose from, however, this takes away the challenge for true Jeopardy fans! There needs to be another option to VIP status other than purchasing, like being rewarded based on number of games played, or number of correct answers to questions. There should be a way to post your player image directly from the app instead of via Facebook or Apple Game Center. I linked in through Apple Game Center & they no longer have the option to upload picture, & I have no desire to link my Facebook to any games I play. I can do without the statistical tracking that occurs when you link to Facebook. Hopeful that this will be a great app one day!

Immoral Ads keep popping up the game!
I would give this game a four star rating; however due to the immoral ads that keep popping up, I find this both offensive, intrusive, and disgusting. The developers should take seriously who they use to sponsor their games. Depicting women, even cartoon caricatures, as dumb blondes with big breasts, a glove going across the woman’s chest and then her skirt coming off is indecent, immoral, exploitative, and disrespectful. Since Uken thinks this ok when I’m trying to relax and enjoy a simple word game, I cannot recommend this app to decent, morally upright family nor friends. What are these advertisements really promoting? Then there’s the abusive depiction of cartoon women being put out in the cold, no heat or water. None of this is related to the game. This is why there global abusive of women. Creepy and mentally deranged. I usually don’t do reviews. Wasting time with psychological abusive cartoons instead of focusing on the game. Clues in one game come up twice. Ridiculous. People should be able to give “no stars” the game with its invasive ads only gets one star otherwise I can’t post my rating.

Great game
Brilliant game; it has a incredible amount of content. I have played over 1,000 games and haven't had a repeated clue once (similar clues, yes, but never the exact same clue.) My only complaint is that it's extremely hard to win a game, especially at the advanced levels. And without winning games sometimes it hard to fill up the bank which is needed to access more games. There's been many times I went 20 or more games without a win, many of which were perfect games where i didn't get any clue wrong. Which begs the question. -How can you lose if you get every question right in a game ? Well your power ups and daily doubles have to line up just so that having a perfect game without the correct power ups and daily doubles are inconsequential. Going through game after game like this can get frustrating until luck, skill, and the stars align perfectly once again, and I can achieve the odd win and refill my bank.

Never fixes the issues
This game was fun in the beginning but after you play awhile you don’t play against real people anymore and it becomes impossible to win. I have tried reaching out to support and they have no answers or they say it is “my connection” which is just not true. I have had the app awhile and play in all the same places I always have but suddenly I no longer play anyone real which was the best part. They don’t make any attempt to solve the problem and based on reading other reviews I’m not the only one experiencing this. The game is fun when you have a chance, but you don’t after awhile. They say”get in touch with support if you have a problem” and yet they don’t solve the problem. It’s just generic reply to your complaint with no care of how it effects your game. And to prove my point we deleted the app on my sons phone and redownloaded it in the same “service area” they say isn’t good enough and miraculously we were playing real people again, I call bull on this app. No fun anymore but what do they have to care, it’s a free app.

Wrong Answer
Under the category “New Testament” the answer was “Jesus said to this apostle, “Upon this rock I will build my church” Answer “Peter”. This is wrong as he was referring to himself. 2 Samuel 22:32 (KJV) For who [is] God, save the LORD? and who [is] a rock, save our God? Psalm 18:2 (KJV) The LORD [is] my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, [and] my high tower. Psalm 28:1 (KJV) [A Psalm] of David.]] Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, [if] thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. Psalm 42:9 (KJV) I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? Romans 9:33 (KJV) As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 1 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV) And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: AND THAT ROCK WAS CHRIST

Not A Free Game
Do yourself a favor and avoid this app. Ive been playing this game for 2 years now. About a year ago, there was an update that made it substantially harder to collect in-game cash. It was very frustrating and I was not able to play as much as I had previously been. I ended up sticking with it and I’m currently on level 170. I had been using the “daily goals” to earn more cash and gold bars. For the past week, my “daily goals” have been unattainable. For example, I don’t have enough in-game cash to play a game in Tokyo, but 2 out of my 3 daily goals involve playing games in Tokyo. I have to use gold bars to spin and get a different goal. So I’ll spend 10 gold bars and the new goal will be to win 5 games in a row in Tokyo! You can spin again, but the price of gold bars (you have to spend) doubles each time. The only way to then get more gold bars is to buy them with actual money. I recently started spending my real money, just to keep playing. I’ve come to realize that I’m wasting both my money and time. This game used to be so fun, but now it’s just a frustrating scam. I’m done with it.

Why do you punish successful players?
The graphics are excellent, there is plenty of variety to the game, and I like the events and the jackpots. However, I am at a loss to know why you would go out of your way to frustrate players who start to be successful. You match them with bots who spin point doublers every time and who always always get both Daily Doubles. I can get 11/11 right in a game and even hit one or both DD’s but I still lose because the bot hits the DD on the last clue, maximizing his score. I became a premium contestant in order to give myself half a chance, and at first my spins seemed to improve, but now I’m back to JP games where I can’t spin a pint doubler no matter how much gold I use. And on the collector events at first it was fun to get the 22 red chips to use, but now in 22 tries I might total 75 or 100 gold. That’s consistent. That means you are programming it that way. I am close to throwing in the towel with this game, and it’s too bad because you didn’t have to make it this aggravating.

Love Jeopardy & Like JWT
Jeopardy World Tour is the best ‘home’ Jeopardy I’ve come across. I’ve been playing almost daily for 3+ years now. I know that many who play JWT Google the answers. I did that for awhile and sure it’s fun to win games, but it’s more fun (for me) to play & sometimes win without any help. Playing this way brings me to my main issue with JWT. Compared to real Jeopardy on TV, JWT’s categories skew too heavily towards sports. If you use Google, you have a decent shot at getting some of these sometimes stat-heavy questions. If you don’t- you either skip sports categories (and their potential high point questions) or take a gamble that the question containing a hint about the answer-which they sometimes do. We all have categories that we do better in, but the various sports categories come up so often and are so wide ranging that even sports fanatics have likely have a hard time-unless Google is used. I’ve watched Jeopardy on TV every evening for years. Sports categories *sometimes* come up there, but not that often. In JWT they come up in most games. You can buy different categories using gold bars, but you shouldn’t have to-imho. I wonder if all the sports questions in JWT are because of some target audience -perhaps a Google enabled one? Or because they’re easy to write-or maybe both? I enjoy JWT otherwise.

Used to Love It
I have no idea how to update my original review where I gave it four stars, back when my only gripe was that we got no money for playing and winning against friends or winning nothing for coming in second or third place in the World Tour. But it was still enjoyable to play, at least, and not a freaking chore. This latest update where the bank regenerates a TINY amount of money in 24 hours instead of the $1.3 million every 4 hours is an insult to me and I can only imagine to people who are at even higher levels than I am. What were you guys thinking? Not all of us can afford to pay for your stupid gold bars so having that income every 4 hours to play your game was crucial. Now people will have to collect money for WEEKS just to play one game. It was already hard enough getting the gems to get to the next tier and this just makes it 1000x harder. So now you are going to lose a lot of players and for what? What a ridiculous update. Please fix this and PLEASE bring back the daily bonus. You are alienating loyal players for no good reason. We cannot enjoy this game as it stands.

Great game but unplayable without spending money
I play a lot of trivia games and this one is my favorite. Very challenging questions, and enough rewards to make it feel worthwhile. However, the game requires you to buy so much gold in order to receive decent power ups and to try to save yourself from losing the game. I get so many of the extra time and double gem power ups which are basically useless, and even when I spend gold to get a replacement, I often get ANOTHER gem doubler. The random rewards in the daily bonus are often little better than nothing as well, you probably have as good a chance at winning the lottery than getting a really good bonus prize. Even the tokens you win after a successful game can repeat ad nauseam to keep you playing for the one token you actually need to level up. All in all, the actual content of this game is great, but the execution is very exhortative and often beyond frustrating.
