Was having immense difficulty visualizing birds eye view from a designer so we took the measurements and applied them to the app. it made it so much easier to understand the space. My only gripe is needing the internet for various functions. And the ting icons in the drop down menus. They are so small that I find myself putting down the app in frustration. The app is really easy for a novice to appear professional.
Everytime you try to do something useful it sends you to an ad to buy subscription their pro subscription. For a home owners you don’t need a subscription and if they want to sell their stuff for personal use it should be free... Plus it did not work very well, and again it always sends you to buy a pro subscription.. I am really interested in buying Ikea Kitchen cabinets, but I have to say this experience added doubts.... You would think when people are planning to buy $1,000’s of dollars of kitchen stuff they would give them the tools to make it easier and more accurate... But instead they put out an app that aggravates and try to squeeze out a few more bucks... Stupid stupid stupid marketing!!
It took a little bit to input the dimensions of the room and windows and doors etc but once it was in dragging and dropping pieces in was fairly simple. You won’t find every single finish or piece you want, but it’s a great visualization tool. Not for people who don’t have a good sense of design or take things super literally because you have to be able to visualize the final product based on the renderings
Just wasted $5... You can’t make it with open floor plans. The app is glitchy. It’s not very user friendly. Super easy to accidentally move a piece you don’t want and hard to get it back. Should be able to regret a choice at least... There’s almost no options on “regular” tiles, for example no subway tiles. Why even make this app??!... Edit. So there’s no way to cancel your subscription!!!!!! And I can’t find ANY info about it?????????? And nowhere to ask a question on where and how to do it??? Omg this is so frustrating!!! If they take another penny from me I swear to god 😡😡😡
This is the best design app I’ve ever came across. I pay for the pro version subscription because it offers more when designing. So many great features. I wish I knew how to design an outdoor pool area but I’m not sure if the game offers that just yet. Definitely recommend!
Nice but errors a lot. Some things still confusing.
App was cool at first. Got pro account for measurements. After last update it freezes and just shuts down out of nowhere. Also have been going crazy trying to create a 2story forever. Looked in F&Qs and information listed does not help because it’s not even an option in the app. No add level option comes up at all.
I downloaded this app because I thought it sounded like a great sales tool for people remodeling their kitchen with IKEA. I set the measurements of my kitchen, but that’s as far as the app would go. Nothing else works. I can’t add furniture. Nothing works. when I tap on the furniture button, it just glitches. I’m constantly prompted to upgrade which is annoying. I finally did upgrade thinking that was why it didn’t work... still doesn’t work! The other review sounds fake.
After first downloading the app it was easy to get started. Then every time I went to use something it was trying to sell me the Pro version. After trying to use it for more than 20 minutes I gave up and deleted the app. Just charge at the beginning and let me make my decision then.
There is no way to differentiate between moving the camera and moving an object in 3D mode, it will constantly try to edit the size of whatever you touch, when you switch from walk to 360 mode in 3D it shoots you to the other side of the room and locks onto whatever it wants, and all of this was with the ridiculously overpriced pro version, in the standard version you have imprecise measurements and access to 1/4 of the furniture
I can’t fathom how this app has a 4.4 star rating. I’ve never written a review, but I felt compelled this time because I feel as though I’ve been duped out of my money. Every aspect of designing a space is cumbersome; the app is incredibly glitchy; switching between 2D and 3D views alters my layouts; when I open the app and view my saved design, various cabinetry will have rotated from the position I placed them, etc. The list goes on and on.
I love using this app for drawing! I can’t draw interiors, so I love that I can create a room, then draw it. It makes it super easy. Although, I don’t love how you have to pay for most things. It’s kind of a pain. I was also expecting to be able to do rooms and stuff because you do include living room, but oh well
Buggy and not user friendly. Keeps asking me to upgrade my subscription then tells me I already have the subscription I need. Can’t connect to an IKEA store. Can’t even use floor plans I’ve created. which is the only reason I was interested in this app. Why else would anyone want a 3D rendering app if not for rendering one’s own interior? How does IKEA allow their name to be associated with such a horrible piece of software.
Was really fun until the glitches started. Can’t change colors or furniture/cabinets or they just turn a solid gray. Hard to snap cabinets to each other. Hard to navigate. Options are limited. Has potential just too many problems
I love this game and room planer!! I have been looking for a decorating game that’s actually good for years and I finally found this app it it’s the best all my family likes it too it’s literally the best!!
Designed the one on their site, has a lot to choose from, THIS, not so much. Although I can layout a “general” idea, they don’t even have cabinets with drawers. Just doors. Really disappointed I spent the money!!!! Interface is decent, just not enough options, if you’re REALLY trying to design something you’re going to spend thousands of dollars on, use the FREE one on their site.
Difficult interface and just a bunch of IKEA stuff
The drawing tool is clumsy and not very intuitive. It’s difficult to get your room designed if it’s anything more complicated than a simple rectangle. All the cabinets and appliances are based on IKEA models only and not standard sizes. I bought the PRO hoping it would be better, but no, it’s pretty useless.
Too easy to accidentally move items. But good selection. Didn’t buy the extra stuff, but was still about to play around with a lot of scenarios and such.
The free app worked well enough but most of the snazzy features are in Pro version. When I paid to upgrade, the app refused to recognize I’ve paid - so won’t give me access to tools. It won’t let me pay again because it says I’ve already paid. Endless feedback loop.
I opened the free app which allows you to browse different pre-made designs. So I upgraded in order to design my own. I started with my wall dimensions. However there was no ability to add ikea cabinets as advertised. You can go back to browsing pre-made designs. What a waste! I deleted this junk. Complete and thorough rip off!
Even with brand new tablet and paid version, this app was so frustrating. I would attempt to edit the length of a wall, for example, but a different wall would change. Jumpy, stalling, and not worth it. If they fix it, it would be great .
Once you download the app, you can not use it unless you choose one of the in-app pay options. This is misleading. If the app doesn’t offer any functionality unless you make a minimum purchase, then that should be the price for the app and any upgrades should be in-app purchases.
This app has stored kitchen designs you can edit. The app is not intuitive to use. It’s pure guessing how to use. All the designs are European and not useful for North America. I paid for one month for this app and wish I could get a refund. DON’T buy this! If I could give this app a 0 rating I would.
This app says it's free but then requires payment immediately. I wouldn't mind paying the money but it is clumsy and hard to use. This isn't a user friendly app at all! Plus, they don't even have all of the products available.
Really thought this app was going to work until I realized the room has to be square. Can’t leave parts of wall open and can’t connect new walls to existing ones. That’s ridiculous and very unrealistic. Don’t waste your money.
Not tailored to ikea like it says, hard to use and try’s to sell you something at every step. I cancelled immediately and I want my money back if I could only figure out how to do that. Ikea offers a free planner on its website that is very good.
False advertising, NOTHING to do with IKEA kitchen
I was duped into paying for a subscription to quickly put together a pantry with IKEA cabinets, but it doesn’t let me do that at all. Just a bunch of sample kitchens to pick and modify. A pen and a sheet of paper were more helpful. Don’t waste your money!
The limited version appears easy to use. But I’m cranky at the price. So you know I'm planning to spend at least $10,000 on a new kitchen, and you want to charge me $9 for the app?
Such a frustrating experience! Never actually got it to work, such a waste of time and money. Now to figure out how to delete it so I do not get any more charges!
So frustrating when an app is marked free and then you cant do anything without upgrading to a paid version. Feel like they trick you into downloading their app
