Good and very little bad

I love this app. It’s a great fun way to connect with others & get good discussions + inspiration. They only thing I really wish I could do on the app is report scammers. Because there are A LOT of people who will message you with cash app scams and you can’t report a page for that specifically. So if you report them for something else that is an option on the list, they get reviewed and don’t break guidelines. I see a lot of people posting who have fallen for the scams so it would just be nice if we had the option to report them and get them removed as we see them, to help prevent others for falling from it. I mean I get them daily to where I don’t even open up my messages any more.. And then the last thing I wanted to say, it would be really really cool if we had a “story” option on our page like instagram/snapchat! Where you can click on the profile pic and see a 24hr story. Just something I was thinking about 🥰

It just simply doesn't work!

I've seen all these ads about lemon8 so I decided to try it out, and when I got it and went on it, it asked for my age and so I put in my birthdate, and it said "not eligible" even though the app says that it's for 12+ and I'm 13, I've seen other people saying that it says that they're not eligible, even though they are older then the age rating. I have also seen other people say that it's a great app and saying that it has great tips and great makeup looks and stuff like that, but they're all sponsored or are ads from lemon8 itself. I have gone through SO MANY reviews and all of them are showing that it doesn't work for them either and I first downloaded it about 2 weeks ago and even then it didn't work, and I was I thinking it was just me but then I redownloaded it today about 10 mins ago and it kept showing that I wasn't eligible, if the app says that you have to be 12+ why can't 12+ actually get on the actual app and are only getting stuck at the 'not eligible' screen and trying over and over again and even putting in fake ages? But yet all these 25+ women are on it? If you're gonna make a app that shows 12+ why only let people older then 20 be on it and not 12+ like the age rating says. If this is some bug I really do hope it gets fixed, if this is a scam, I hope it gets taken down. Regards - A person who thinks this is a scam.

Infuriating

Most of the posts are about the same thing, you can't write comments that aren't longer than two paragraphs, and the comments writing process is awful because of the way the word limit pops up. Seriously the way that the comments writing system works is enough to make me never want to go back. I often use dictation and if your dictation is too long, it will just delete the whole thing! who coded this app a toddler? On a social app you would think your main priority would be to actually have a comment system that worked and didn't make you retype deleted comments all the time unless that's your sneak way of getting engagement either way it is something that will give people rage issues fyi. The app is run by Christians, but they are too foolish to realize that their guidelines make it so you can't even talk about the Bible as it is so vulgar. This also means that you can't really talk about much at all because they deem most things unacceptable so they will delete your comments without warning and with no way of asking for a repeal. all it takes is one offended Christian and they will try to report everything on your account and as far as I can tell lemon8 doesn't even check the report as I have said completely mild things that just don't agree with Christianity and I've had my comments deleted.

Love it even though it had problems in the beginning!

I absolutely love this app it’s perfect! I love to post stuff but can never find the right platform lemon8 is so easy to post on and there’s so many informational videos on how to do just about anything! I was looking for acrylic nail inspo and I looked it up on lemon8 and omg! It let me sort into what I wanted by color and shape and omg!!! I finally found a nail design that I wanted in like one second on lemon8! It made it so easy! On every other app I have been trying to find a perfect nail design and it was so annoying because it never let me sort the nails into what I wanted. But I will say I had a problem in the beginning even tho I was of age to get the app it would not let me in so I deleted and redownloaded and put in a random birthday saying like 1930 I think but it still wouldn’t let me in and that’s plenty of age. So I emailed them and they got right back to me the next day and fixed the problem so now I have this amazing app!!!!

this app is so frustrating

So, i got this app and i have been loving it so far. UNTIL this app decides to ban my account two times in a row. Apparently its because im not following age guidelines, but the thing is i am over 12 like the app says! and then it bans me! honestly this app is just avoiding all problems with age restrictions. ive seen too many videos on tiktok/youtube talking about their problems with lemon8 and the company never fixes them. would give a zero but i cant do that. FIX YOUR APP. edit: i have gone now and looked into the reviews and turns out there are so many more one to two star reviews and this company still hasn't fixed it. maybe this company should realize since theres so many bad reviews and experiences, people will stop using the app. maybe their just stupid or something..? but this is gonna be their downfall if they dont do anything about it. another edit: THIS APP IS SO STUPID AND FRUSTRATING. I went into the app and i literally cannot access anything no matter what age i put in. this company should realize that this app is more geared towards teens, and they completely disregard the fact and continue to disappoint users. i was really starting to like this app until today.

Better Than Pinterest in my opinion!! 🤩⭐️

Lemon8 is so amazing!! Basically I’m gonna tell the story on how I found this app. So about a few weeks ago, I got a new iPhone and I wanted to download Pinterest because it has everything i need on there. When i downloaded Pinterest and i tried to sign into my account, it said that my account was “DEACTIVATED.” I was so upset that I didn’t even want to have Pinterest anymore, so I deleted it. Then earlier today, I was scrolling on my local TikTok and I see an advertisement with Lemon8! Then I said “you know what, since I see this app on ads so many times, I’m gonna download it and see what all the hype is about.” I download Lemon8 and it was so easy to sign into an account! When I got into the app, it looked like heaven in paradise🙌🏾 Lemon8 is kind of like a mixture of Instagram as I see it myself, and it has MORE than everything I need! I thank Lemon8 to be the best app on my phone 💖 developers did their big one!

Frustrating

This is a very good app … but like most people on here it says it have to be twelve plus so we are all putting our age and it’s fine but there not letting us in …. If u put this age limit please stick with it 😊I do enjoy this app a lot ! This app I think is safe fun and enjoyable ⭐️I think that there’s really no inappropriate or bad stuff in here really but sometimes we all know the world isn’t perfect 🤩bc dms stopped now therefore there’s really no stalker so I think I’m writing this for the app makers to please change the app limit if it’s not gonna work ⚡️but over all the app is good ik just frustrated like everyone else abt the age limit so please just change that bc it’s frustrating 💖☀️⭐️ but the app is great and we love a good second Pinterest but easier to work with and better 😍just have a good age rating and it’s all good 😊

So much fun and I've inspired by a lot of these women

This app has been an absolute joy. I'm still not sure I'm using it right but I'm learning as I go and I don't really care if it gets large or not. I'm enjoying it just as it is it's got his own flair. It's got its own camera it's guys on system and I'm really enjoying it, it's also good to learn something new keeps your mind fresh, so yes, I love it very very very very very much. Thank you lemonade.8 and by the way, if you're reading this, it's not just for young people it's for everybody cause I don't dress my age I never have and never have and I really. Enjoy being creative and it's gotten me to think a little bit more about how I'm dressing every day and I have more fun with it because that's what it supposed to be is an expression of how you're feeling or at this time in her life or whatever it is and I'm just really having the most fun with it. Great app but could use a little adjustment

Love Lemon8! The app is so easy to use, and the rewards are amazing! I've earned cash back and discounts on my favorite purchases, and the cashout process is seamless. The community is also super supportive and helpful, always sharing tips and tricks for maximizing rewards. The app's interface is clean and intuitive, making it a breeze to navigate. Plus, the customer support team is responsive and friendly. 10/10 would recommend! 5/5 stars!. But I think as well as my friends who also have the app think that the short form videos are unnecessary and ridiculous . I feel like it would really help the app grow if they didn’t have any limits or restrictions on the videos that can only be allowed in under one minute. I hope Lemon8 hears me out and can hopefully make some changes other than that this app is perfect.

Suggestions and a question

I love this app a lot and even met some now close friends on there. So first I was wonder why your disabling dms and how long it will be for and personally I think there’s no point is disabling it. Now for some suggestions. First I think you should make it an option for everyone in settings to have dms off or disabled so not everyone has to not message people when they want too. Second and me and a friend I met on here think that when dms are available again (or if you take my first suggestion) you could make it so you make group chats on the app. I met a lot of people and we all want to message eachother on the app but for those who have strict parents or feel safer not giving their real number having it on the app seems like a better idea. I hope you can take these into consideration and have a good day/night!!

i’m upset for ONE REASON

My account was banned because I apparently wasn’t 18. I never showed my face in any of my photos and The app says 12 plus and I am in that age range sooo. Im really upset because i was starting relationships with other christian’s on this app. Now i lost all of that. Thanks a lot Lemon8. edit: scrolling through reviews and i’ve realized this has happened to so many other people. And i’ve looked at the like age restrictions on the app thing and it says 12. I was really liking this app and now I lost everything and cannot reconnect with others. I was literally talking to someone today and they are going to think I ghosted them. This is so annoying and frustrating. I know you’ve seen these reviews creators. Fix this! At least give us back our accounts and let us tell people we aren’t ghosting them! So annoying. edit: you ignoring us now lemon8? literally SO many people are saying this happened to them. One person. said they were 17 and it still kicked them out. hello? can you give us our accounts back?

Worst thing never get

It was terrible 17 and I cannot get in with my age wouldn’t matter and I wanna let me get in any of that and I looked it up on TikTok and nobody can get into it. Everybody’s having a problem with it and I am almost a door and I don’t know why having a problem with it and it says 12+ and I am in that age so I give it one star you should fix your lemonade thing and it’s bad. I heard a lot of people has great reviews about it but this one is just terrible. I try to give it your stories, but I cannot get a bit zero stars again, I would never recommend somebody and I just hate it. Please fix your bugs. You have so many bugs there’s like 50 bugs there’s like shows how many bugs you have had you had so many bugs. Good but…

So I had the app because I seen stuff about it on TikTok. I really liked it and I thought it was really useful. One day I get on the app and decided to post something. It got a few like but not many, but that’s not the apps fault. But then a few days later it ask for an age requirement, I also seen this on other peoples reviews. So I put in 2009 because I’m 14 which is OVER the age requirement, and apps that do not have he age requirement for me to have I literally can’t get it… it ended up saying i didnt reach the age requirements but I didn’t know why, so I ended up going higher year and then lower and I just kept getting the same response. I deleted the app and hoping I could just make another account.. but no.. it pulled me to the same screen asking my date of birth and I enter it and I yet get the same thing. I liked this app but it is a 2 star for me because it just had to many issues… it would so be a 5 star if I did not have this problem. And btw I had the app maybe for a month befor it did this.

Hateful Women and Children

This app is supposed to be 18 and older but judging by the comments I received that were pure trash, pure hate, many, many of these women sound like very young schoolyard bullies. I was told I hated women, loved rapists, wanted women to be raped, was old, needed to use suncreeen on my hands because they are ugly, needed a new manicurist because my nails were ugly. I could have been a hand model and am considered gorgeous by most people and have flawless manicures. When I checked these women out they were all in their early 20’s or had no photo at all. The hate was worse than any other social media platform I had ever been on since FB started back when. I was guilty of thinking these were ladies who were supportive as the reviews say and yet I found many women posting they were leaving due to bullying. The worst part is that these comments we’re allowed to stay although I reported them all. In the meantime my comments about the bullying were deleted as “inappropriate.” Go ahead Lemon8, spreading toxicity and misogyny. Women hating women is all this app is for.

One day I decided to download Lemon8. It looks fun and I saw many TikTok videos that this could be the new TikTok if it ever got banned and there’s so many helpful tips and my style things on there. Well, with the sign up, I put my corrected birth and I’m not enough old now. Let me tell you I am 13 years old. The age requirement for this app is 12 and up, I don’t know if they fixed the bug or not but let me tell you I’m old enough. I made sure I checked with my parent or guardian and they read the age requirements and the reviews. I cannot put a date sometimes a good thing sometimes so I can actually get, not able to even get into the app because it says I’m not old enough I just turned 13 in January make this make sense even though I just turned 13 in January I still would’ve been old enough so can someone help me or someone fix it I’ve downloaded and downloaded this time and time again, but it just doesn’t work so if you made this, can you please answer this and help me

Age restrictions

I’ve seen and heard so many good things about this app and how it helps with makeup and skincare so I though this would be perfect for me because I started doing makeup like a year or 2 ago so I’m kind of new to it. The age said it was for people 12+ and I’m 14 so I though, this is perfect I should fit in perfectly. Clearly I was wrong. When I downloaded the app I saw it asked for age so I put in my age, but it said I was to young, so I kept going back and back and back but it still said too young. I WENT BACK TO AGE 35 AND IT STILL SAID TO YOUNG. I have no idea what the actual age is for this app but whatever it is it is some outrageous number. Like do I have to be 123 in order to use the app!? I don’t know if this is some bug or what but after some research I’ve concluded that I am not the only person who has encountered this problem. I’m asking the people who made this app to please look into this and see if it is some bug or what. Thank you ❤️

Couldn’t get pass the first step.

I wanted to download the app for an easy summer makeup look and when I do download it the first step is to put in my birthday. I am old enough for the app and I put down my birth date, but it preceded to say i’m not eligible for the app even though I qualify for the age verification. So I do what a most people would do, look up the problem and see how to fix it but instead I see that a bunch of people are having the same issues and nobody knows how to fix it. I even tried years that wouldn’t make sense. For example I put my month and the day and then I put 1944. Still not eligible. Just from that I don’t think the app should be in my phone. If you like the app good for you but after this experience I just don’t want to deal with this problem again. So I don’t really recommend lemon8. But the great stuff i’ve heard about it on instagram and tiktok made me give it one extra star because it seems like it can be useful in current ways.

VERY ANNOYING

So just like most of the other reviews, there's a problem with the age requirement question. I downloaded the app and i put my birthday. and btw there's no reason for me to lie when i say I AM OLDER THAN 12. once i put my birthday it says that i'm too young. naturally, i thought it was some sort of mistake and i deleted it, as well as redownload it to try again. this time i put it at 18. IT STILL SAID THAT ITS TOO YOUNG??? so then i tried on my other device AND IT SAID THE SAME THING. so i did the same process that i did on my phone, but on my other device too (delete it, redownload, try it again) AND IT STILL WASNT WORKING. so just like any other person with a lack of patience and self control, i write this review. and to someone that is able to fix the app: please please please fix it or debug it or recode it or something, because this isn't just a problem for me, but it's a recurring problem with several people. i would absolutely love to use this app, but it just simple wont let me, even though i meet all the requirements. please and thank you.

Refreshing! And thoroughly enjoying it so far!

This app has been a breath of fresh air to say the least! I really enjoy the layout and posting format of Lemon8. I also really really like that we can add links to our profiles without a minimum follower requirement - THAT is awesome and helps us all connect even more. **Literally my 1 flaw I’ve found is they don’t have a ‘toggle’ option (As of this review on 4/9/23). I thought maybe the recent update would fix that but it wasn’t in that bug fix. Being able to be logged into multiple accounts and toggle back and forth is really beneficial to a lot of us with personal accounts, business or esthetic accounts and I’d love for that toggle to be added ASAP 🤞🏼 Right now you have to fully log out, and log back in each time to switch accounts.

Do NOT recommend

Don’t even waste your time on downloading this app. I finally downloaded this app because I wanted to see what it was all about after I have seen HUNDREDS of videos of people saying that they love this app and that it’s so helpful but when i finally downloaded it, it asked me for my date of birth which I had no problem with so I put it in. Then it told me that I was not eligible for this app. I tried multiple times but it kept on saying the same thing so I decided to delete the whole app and download it again. When I searched the app on the App Store I checked to see what the age limit was and it said 12+ which I was confused why I couldn’t get in the app when I’m well over 12 years old but I still downloaded the app again and I tried putting my date of birth but again it still did not let me in! In conclusion I couldn’t tell you what I even think about the actual app itself because I was not even allowed in. But i would be willing to give it another shot if they fix this bug.

I love this app its amazing you can find recipes on its a positive great investment I love this app cause everyone on this app is so supportive for other people you feel just so confident it’s wonderful it’s changed me for the better!! Their is workout tips and many more the only one thing about it is kinda almost every girl is saying that it’s a only girls app but this app is for everyone we always exclude people cause of their genders I get it ladies that y'all want a just girls app but it’s for everyone I know some men are creepy and very inappropriate and that’s not okay but some aren’t we can’t just be like they are probably like the rest we have to include everyone they are human beings too other than that it’s an awesome app it’s for helpful and I love it highly recommend it!!💕💕🫶

The BEST app to grow as a creator

I joined Lemon8 in Feb 2024 and it’s honestly been the best experience I’ve had on any app I’m currently on. Lemon8 is full of useful tips, information, tutorials and more. I also love it because it houses a more mature audience of likeminded individuals unlike some of the other apps that’s just full of immature kids. There’s way less bullying on L8 as well which nowadays is a huge plus. Lemon8 makes it possible for you to grow organically as a creator. You don’t have to be desperate for views and engagement and do childish “trends” to fit in or be seen. All you have to do is be yourself. They also have amazing challenges with incentives to not only help you grow but also rewards you with awesome giveaways. I’ve built an amazing community so far on this platform and I’m glad I joined 🍋

It feels very OG IG meets instagram stories and a bit of Pinterest. I love that. But what it’s lacking is the tiktok feel of “Real People.” They are on the app it’s just they are currently getting washed out by all the big makeup & fashion influencers you can find on any other app. I can’t tell if their goal was just to get as many people on the app as soon as possible, spread the word fast, and that’s why it’s not very inclusive right now or if this is the direction they want this app to go. That has not been made clear. Unless the clarity is in the lack of having a pet category. No photography (being a photo first app). Art. Music. Motherhood section/community is lacking as well & so many others. I get that those can & probably will develop over time, but there’s already so many amazing influential people in these industries / categories that they could have brought in to help pilot this app yet chose purely beauty & fashion influencers & their content is all the algorithm picks up regardless of who you interact with. I get enough of that on other platforms. Because of that I am already feeling drained seeing the same makeup & morning routine 1000 times. Not sure there is much more to gain from this app at the moment but the same fashion advice repeated to you 1000 times. I do hope it evolves though, because it has potential!

Good but needs some serious additions

This app needs a few things like an art tab for one, but also a way to draft and schedule your posts. I also think you should be able to add videos in the same post as a photo. As an artist, I like to post the art and then a speed painting video of the art in the same post. I also think limiting this app to certain things like beauty, fashion, home, and health is stunting on what this app could be in the future. Like all major platforms have an array of things you can create content on. If it limit’s itself only to those things I listed I don’t think this app could compete with instagram, Pinterest, or even tumblr if that is this apps goal. I would personally be less likely to stick with this app if it doesn’t expand the array of content it promotes on it’s platform.

so much potential!

there are so many good things about the energy on this app and the way you make posts. it’s much more of a creative outlet/visual diary than most social medias. its a good mix of the pinterest aesthetics, mood board vibes, and social media! a great place to sort of romanticize your life, share tips in hobby niches, and put yourself out there without feeling as judged as some other social medias make you feel. i wouldn’t say it’s more ‘real’ because there’s definitely a lot of idealized content, but that content comes from more of an average user getting to make to make our lives feel more aesthetic which can be really motivating the main thing i’ve noticed is the push of really old content (posted 1+ years ago) from inactive accounts because so many users dropped off the app after 2023. i’d love go see more new user content from smaller accounts. there’s a trend of all the the sort of ‘big accounts’ on the app posting 5-10 times in one day once every one or two months and then radio silence, all going inactive dec 2023. i assume there was some sort of partnership contract that ended but this has left a huge gap in the content and all the pushed popular posts are super old.

OK so it’s just that I don’t meet the age requirement first I’m 15. I’m gonna be honest I’m 15 so I’m trying to get some like tips because I saw this on TikTok and a lot of my friends were talking about it and I’m like you know what I’m a try it so I put in my age February 10, 2009 so I’m trying to access the app but it’s saying that I don’t need the age requirements so like you know it’s fine. I’ll just do it on my iPad. I was just trying to download it because I want to try makeup looks for school, right? Well, I put in my birth year which is 2010 and it says that I am not eligible for the app so I have to delete it. I’ve tried multiple times and it’s not working like I expected it to work. What makes it the most frustrating is I was also going to look for cute cat outfits for school but obviously I can’t. I’m in 8th grade. I meet the age requirement. It’s 3:32 in the morning, I’m tired, and have to wake up in less than an hour in a half. I just wanted to try out this app because it’s all people talk about on TikTok. Almost every add I see is Lemon8. I wanted to try to see what the hype was all about but the hype isn’t in me anymore. I read the reviews and a lot of people are having the same problem as me. Since this is happening to a lot of people and this is most likely a bug, please try to fix it because I know a lot of people want to use this app for life tricks and hacks. Thank you!

Fresh platform for all my interests

This app has taken the best of Pinterest, Instagram and blogging into one place. The editing and filters are better than most paid apps, I was blown away. I’m having SO much fun posting and not caring if it’s getting 1,000 views like on Instagram. The communities already forming on Lemon8 are really encouraging. So far, it’s mostly women I’m seeing and connecting with. Everyone has been supportive and honest, which is refreshing. They just want to share their life story and that’s what social should be about. There’s almost a plea from most everyone on the app to “keep it this way”. It won’t. But, instead of trying to force it to be something, get in early/now and be part of the growth to take it in the direction you/we want to see.

Why you should get lemon8

So, I’m a teenage girl who wishes she had a better body and better looks so that people would actually like me. Around the first year of 7th grade I noticed that I needed a change, but I did not know where to start I decided to scroll on tik tok to Mabey try to find a suggestion to something similar I was looking for. When I came across this app, lemon8. I downloaded it right away when I found out all the amazing reviews people were giving on tik tok. And now I’m almost done with 7th grade have a lot more confidence and cute hairstyles, this app is beyond amazing it gives you outfit ideas, hairstyles, nail ideas almost anything and it definitely boosts your confidence a lot love this app and to anyone reading this trust me, you will love it too🫶🏼

FIX THE BUG!

I wanted to try out the app because I had seen it all over social media and my friends talk about how they find such cute and simple makeup ideas and cute outfits etc. so I had finally caved in and got the app, it downloaded just fine but the first thing it asked me to do was put in my birthday and the year I was born which is completely fine for an app that gives tips and mind you I meet the age requirement. So I put in my DOB and all it said was something like, “your not eligible for commission but thanks for checking us out!” I think maybe I just need to try it again I try it two more times and the same thing pops up so I deleted the app, redownload it, and did the same month and day but a different year, the year I put was way older than the age requirement and it still said the same thing so I went to the App Store and typed this. Did this happen to anybody else or is it just me? I really want to have this app so please FIX THE BUG!

Love this app!

I love this app because you can make your own wallpapers and create outfits for people to copy for school. And I think it’s just really really really really easy to use if you’re trying to find a wallpaper. It’s easier to find it on Lemon8 instead of Pinterest because I’m not being rude, but it doesn’t have that much of a choice on Pinterest but on lemon8 it’s so much easier to find a wallpaper. you can join challenges it’s easy to make your own account. It’s like really easy to do stuff like make your own account join the challenge. I got asked to do a challenge and it was really really really fun to do. I didn’t win, but it was so fun to do with everyone else for challenges. thank you for reading my paragraph.

App is literally broken and probably a scam.

Okay first off, I went to download the app as I saw on TikTok that this was a great app and all so i downloaded it. After i downloaded it and opened the app it brought to the screen that says “put in your birthday” the app says it’s for people over 12+ and I am 13 turning 14 July 31st. So I put in my birthday and it said “Sorry, looks like you’re not eligible for Lemon8…But thanks for checking us out!” I was straight up confused that it said that because the app was for people over 12+ which I am so I tried something else and see if it would work if I faked my birth year. I put in 2000 and it still said the same thing. Why put 12+ if it doesn’t even work if you are 12+? I tried redownloading the app to see if was a bug and put in my birth year again, still didn’t work. I never got to try out the app so I can’t say if it’s good or not but I don’t even want to see if it’s good because this app is probably a scam or just broken.

Hugeee LOVEE for team who created this app but..

I love using this app since downloading it. I deleted most of my social media apps but keeping this one all time. What I love about this app is that you ALWAYS find so new so creative ideas and you ACTUALLY learn new things A LOT. This app has really good positive posts and creators which makes me so happy. There is almost no negative! Which is super cool in our days! But there is some things I would change or add. 1. Please do more filtering and blocking on aggressive or provocative posts and creators which I see much often then before. Of course I block or report them most of the time… 2. Like Pinterest with a sprinkle of hateful rhetorics

This app sounds fun and cute in theory and regular people do win the giveaways they do but man o man do they have A LOT of work to do in figuring out how filter out mean/bullying/hateful content and comments. So many creators on this app are conservative and Christian which of course doesn’t automatically make them bad people BUT the things they post often attack those in the LGBTQ+ community, people from other religions, people who are pro-choice, or really anyone with views that aren't in line with traditional conservative Christian views. It’s really weird and not to say it doesn’t happen on other apps but I definitely don’t see this as much on other apps. I don’t think they do a good job with customizing your feed to only see content that aligns with your likes. Take this information as you will, I tried to get into this but I just couldn’t take seeing all the bigotry and ignorance anymore /:, better off just using Pinterest!

Y’all. It says that’s it’s 12+ on the bio of the app but does it really let you go in if your 12?? Nope! I’m literally 12 years old and it didn’t work. Until y’all get y’all’s age thingy in control I’ll actually rate it but until then, y’all gotta make it accurate. I will update if it starts working. *UPDATE* Ok it’s working now!!! I’m really excited to use this app! I’ll let you guys know how it is when I use it. *LAST UPDATE* Ok this app is so great. I love how you can look at pictures and everything is just so good. I just wish that you can access the videos more easily instead of searching up videos, and also i wish that going to the next video was a little bit more easier than exiting out of it and clicking the next vid. it’s a good app and people are so nice!! amazing content is posted and positivity is spread through out. my problem is there is kids on this app. there’s this user named Jinx something who it posting obviously sexual content. many people including myself have reported her videos as well as her profile. immediately (way too soon for them to be able to check the problem) it’s said that the video doesn’t violate community guidelines. 3 seconds isn’t enough to check and you should have actual employees investigating the content to ensure it is safe for the 12 YEAR OLDS that are allowed on this app. it’s a really good app, but don’t let your children on this app. they don’t do anything to protect the safety and innocence of your child, they will blatantly ignore your concerns of adult content, and your child will be exposed to it.

Great app!

Lemon8 is a small, but amazing social media platform where people of any age can share their mind and way of thinking! I downloaded this app a few weeks ago, and have been loving it since! I love how easy it is to access your followers, liked videos and pictures, and the content you love the most. There are a few things that might be a drawback: Lemon8's users are mostly females, and of course females and males mostly have different content preferences. Also, it can be a bit difficult when you try and post photos without the Live Photo option. Either you take the picture with no Live Photo, or you have to edit the picture. Other than that, I'm very happy with this app. Wonderful job!

Love the app it’s like a mixture of Pinterest and instagram with sprinkle of twitter lol all the cool features are nice. Hope it gets bigger!

I figured as soon as I saw the ads for it that it's basically just an American version of the Chinese app "Red"/"Little Red Book." No hate, I love that app and it's great for aesthetic inspo but of course the only downside is that all of the posts and a lot of the UI is in Chinese. The only drawback of Lemon8 as opposed to Red is that the community and thus the pool of posts is much smaller, but I love the format and hope it grows so that there's more content. I'm sick of Instagram and how it's basically become "advertise your existence" over actual content creation and fun connection. Apps like this and Red are providing what the younger generations like Gen Z and Alpha want from their social media; sharing the things you like without all the visibility.

So I got lemon8 about 3 weeks ago when I first downloaded it told me I was underage for the app even tho I am 16 and the age limit is 12 and up 😀 then I was like Alr that’s weird I read the reviews and it seems like this happens a lot so I gave it a day I tried again with my birthday and it went thru I was like … alr and I’ve loved the app ever since UNTIL just now I went to go find some makeup style recommendations and I’m logged out I’m like HUH Alr lemme go sign in maybe it’s because I have to update the app .. then I find out I’m banned 😗… I’m like huh I’ve only been on this app for 3 weeks all I do on here is look at makeup and “what’s in my bags” and my posts are full of skincare tips so I’m like um .. then the help bot recommended I appeal so I’m like Alr.. I go to appeal even tho I didn’t know what I was appealing for since lemon8 doesn’t send a Email a message or anything not even a WARNING…

It’s a great app but…

I like Lemon8, it’s a fun app to connect with people. I joined this app about a month or 2 ago and just posted my first post yesterday. I posted a cute little self introduction and it had been up for about 6 hours maybe. I went back to check on my profile and it said that I got banned for being underage… the app says that it’s 12+… I’m 17… and I turn 18 in less than a month… so I went to make another account since I couldn’t use the same account that got banned and I posted a new self intro. The post had been up not even 5 minutes and then this account gets band cuz I wasn’t following community guidelines. All I did was say that I liked movies, books, talked about my cats like what community guidelines did I cross!😩 Lemon8 could have just told me what guidelines I didn’t follow cuz I literally don’t understand.

Can’t even log in

I kept seeing Lemon8 ads all over my TikTok so I decided to give in and download it. It asked me for my date of birth so I put in my real date of birth, before clicking confirm I went back to the App Store to check the age to make sure my date of birth would even work and it said 12+ so I was old enough. (I am 14). I click to continue and was met with a pop up saying I was not eligible for Lemon8 but thanks for checking it out. I was confused because I was definitely old enough. I scrolled up to put my birth year to be 2 years before so that I would be 2 years older to see if it’s a glitch or they forgot to update the age restriction on the App Store. I was met with the same message which left me even more confused so I went all the way up to the year my grandma was born (she’s 50 something) and it still said I wasn’t eligible. I genuinely wanted to try out the app but it can’t even seem to let me through the first step.

Love this app!!

Lemon8 has become one of my favorite apps, despite some things. The only I would say I dislike is how I can't "not recommend" something but have to block them instead and every other acc I don't like when they pop up. But in all honesty I don't mind having to block people that much bc there's so many other great things about the app! I find good recommendations for things, I've never seen any creepy/predator type of comments or posts so they seem to be pretty monitored! They have challenges sometimes to win prizes and it's a safe space to post almost anything! I feel like it's a better safer version of Pinterest but that's just my opinion, all love to Pinterest still! ❤️

1 STAR!!! I thought this app was gonna be good, because I saw so many people use it and I saw it a lot on TikTok. So I thought why not download it. So I downloaded it, and it wouldn’t let me go into the app. I was putting in my birthday and it says I’m not eligible or something like that. So I tried other birthdays that are older then me, and they didn’t work. I don’t know why, but it started to make me angry, cause i really could use this app for Christmas. But it won’t let me in to the app, I tried almost every single birthday out there that I know and it won’t let me into the app. So if you could try to figure out why that is happening that would be great. Also if y’all are looking at reviews guys I would suggest don’t get the app because it won’t let you in, but If it does please tell me what birthday you used that let you in cause it wouldn’t let me in. Very confused

So I’m 16, the app clearing states before downloading (12+) therefore, get it together, if it’s not appropriate for little kids understandable, however, I turn 17 this year, I’m seriously confused and I put my correct age in and now it just keeps saying , ”Sorry, looks like your not eligible for lemon 8…” so forth, anyways I try to put in a different age and it continues to say this, I see that other people are having this problem as well, I’m just not understanding why the app says 12+ then completely misleads people into thinking that it’s safe. Also I don’t understand why there having everyone on social media promote it as if it’s meant for teens if it’s not! I’m really frustrated with this app and I’m stuck on the first step!… with this being said, I feel like it would be a great app if it wasn’t being miss advertised to children. Please fix this problem or at least change your app information to 18+ IF NO ONE UNDER 18 CAN USE IT!

I know I know before yall go through all the one star reviews about the app not letting u put ur age! Hold up bc I had the same problem. I was so excited that u download the app bc if the reviews I have seen “SUCH A GOOD APP!” but when I opened it I put my age as 15 bc the age limit is 12+…. It didn’t work! So about for 15 minutes I looked through the web yt TikTok, Pinterest, and the reviews that have 1 star ! Everyone had the same problem so I found this one and only on review that said u need to wait a couple of days to be able to login. I am super impatient but I waited about 2-3 days and I was like ok let’s try it again and well the conclusion is WAIT A COUPLE DAYS BEFORE YOU TRY LOGGING IN DELETE AND REDOWNLOAD THE APP AND IT WORKS!!!!🩷🩷🩷

so much potential

they really need to hire some new tech people or developers or something. they are a lot of little bugs or things this app just doesn’t have like an algorithm or the ability to not be interested in certain content. Along with not being able to see who you blocked or any past interactions other than likes and favorites. My main issue is that I signed out of the app on my iphone and when I went to log back in it’s PERMANENTLY stuck on the “what’s your age” section and then anything I put says I’m not “eligible” for a lemon8 even though I already have an account. I just finished the merchandise diary give away and so that may be why, so they can scam people out of it 🤷‍♀️i’m not sure. oh well. in a year it will be a christian only app because that’s most of the content on there anyhow. Definitely should have waited on the launch of this app or at least try to fix it with more incoming volume
