It’s a lot easier to use than the old app. I like how the option to include order notes is at checkout now, so I won’t forget to ask for paper bags anymore. It’s a nice app!
The new app has made my shopping experience online and in store more efficient! I love that I can build a shopping list for in store shopping and it says exactly what aisle the item is on. This saves so much time! I also love the barcode feature, so when I’m out of an item I can scan it quickly before I toss the container and it’s in my cart. Each item is also easier to add, delete, or write a note than the old app. I like how the notes are not saved from each purchase because I used to forget that I had a note in something that was usually a one time need. The personal shoppers who make my orders happen are the best! No other grocer is this personalized and calls you to discuss any out of stock items and suggest alternatives. I love knowing that my shopper is an employee of the store who meets the Lowes standards vs. having no idea who my shopper is with other grocery fulfillment. I don’t know any other grocer who goes to the level of personalization and care for each order than Lowes Foods to go.
I understand businesses and organizations need to refresh and update periodically, and typically I’m a big fan of eagerly trying something new, but the new version of this app is way too disorganized and frustrating. There are a LOT of reasons, but one big one for me- In the previous version, my cart was organized by type of item ordered: meats, deli, pantry, household products, etc. That allowed me to quickly see if I’d ordered something by mistake (think the Mega stack of Pringles vs. the original sized can. I don’t need both) I’m spending far too long just getting my order together, because now the cart displays in the order you added an item instead. There was very little advance notice of the change too. I was just locked out of my app one day. If there is no way to restore the previous version, I won’t renew my subscription. It’s a waste of time. I will say this one positive thing though: my shoppers have all been wonderful, and this new version allows me to leave them a note. App developers, instead of making such sweeping and poorly thought through changes, why not just add something as nice as a place to thank your shoppers to your original, easier, and less time consuming version?
Signs me out randomly, so every time I'm in store trying to clip a coupon, I usually have to sign back in. Not to mention that once I'm finally signed back in, 99% of the time when FINALLY I go to clip said coupon, instead of actually clipping the coupon it gets stuck in an infinite loading process during the clipping process. So the coupon never is actually clipped. Then I have to go and complain to management and get them to override the purchase and manually give me the discount. Every. Single. Time. Oh and did I mention that EVEN IF I somehow managed to clip these coupons, I can't even use my LINKED phone number to pull up the digital coupons?? I have to pull up the app (which doesn't work) and scan the barcode from the app (which still doesn't work because like I said previously...the coupons rarely (if ever) actually with even I try to clip them.) As much as I love Lowe's Foods, this app pisses me off to no end. Do better.
I’m not going to completely dis the new app. I enjoy the new look but really miss the features of the old app. When my husband and I would shop we would build a cart based off of pre-made lists for weekly shopping and the cart would be organized by produce, dairy, canned goods, etc. The new app makes grocery shopping very difficult because it isn’t organized and things don’t appear in any order. I have a handmade list on google keep and organized my list the way the app used to be. It also used to be very easy that if I wasn’t able to make it to the store I could VERY EASILY switch my list over for pickup. Also a couple of years ago I had to get a new rewards card and none of the items I have purchased over the last couple of years are saved in my lists. The data saved in the new app is from the rewards card I had years ago. This has been frustrating and really has deterred us from grocery shopping at Lowes. I could probably get help from customer service but this is something they shouldn’t have to deal with. I appreciate the attempt at the new app and the interface looks great. However the user experience and changes made to the app were not made with the customer in mind.
We shop at least twice a week and have been for at least four years. It is such a marvelous convenience. The shoppers always find the best produce and always call when the order is ready in case we want to make changes. It could not be better. The old app worked better. With the old app, it was Easier to re-order, easier to find things in the app, less complicated to order things like cold cuts, and the search function worked. For example I searched “Franks Red Hot” hot sauce and the only thing that showed up was the gallon container. Search “hot sauce” and several varieties of “Franks Red Hot” in different sizes showed up. This is not progress.
I have tried multiple time to “clip” digital coupons and they are not applied during check out. This has been an ongoing issue for months with the Lowe’s foods app. When I asked a store manager she even admitted that they have issues with coupons not being applied at check out but said they can do it manually. That defeats the purpose of the app. This is a big enough company that they should be able to fix their issues. I have checked to make sure the my app has the correct member number multiple times too. This is such a shame
I love Lowes Foods stores’ experience, and this new app is “next level”. It’s super easy to set my favorite grocery items and place an online order for pickup or delivery. I love that their own employees (called “Personal Shoppers” apparently) actually pick my online orders. Can’t wait to see what else they build into the app - maybe their famous Chicken Dances!
We stopped going to another grocery store after they ruined their app and started sending us to a web app run in a regular browser. So I was apprehensive about this update but wow it is so much better. I didn’t dislike the old app yet this one is just so much better.
Haven’t been able to use you awful app for 2 months now. Keep getting the message : “We’re Embarrassed as we are having technical difficulties”. Ya’ Think??? Every time I wish to use a digital coupon, it’s like it has to be approved by your Board of Directors. Service Desk has tried repeatedly to correct the issue to no avail. They have been very nice, but shrug their shoulders and hand my phone back to me. No problem, I just go to Publix across the road from your store in Murrells Inlet, SC
I am so frustrated with this new app. It doesn’t sync with the website. I used to be able to go from the app and then order on the computer because the cart would sync. There’s something going on with the cart because I can’t order from the app anymore. I’m not sure what’s going on with that. I used to shop almost exclusively through the app, so this is very frustrating. Going into the store for full shopping is not possible for me at this time.
I got this app in the hopes of being able to create a digital loyalty card and adding it to my digital Apple Wallet. No such luck! I can get the app to show a loyalty barcode, but only in the app. I would really appreciate a loyalty card I can add to my Wallet, since that’s the easiest place to consolidate everything. I’m giving it 3 stars since the rest of the app seems competent.
Among all the grocery store apps I use(6 others), this has become the worst of them all. It is hard to navigate, hard to just figure out where items are to be found and just plain aggravating. The old app was so much better and I hope that this version can be reverted back. I do all of my grocery shopping on Wednesdays for the next seven days until the next specials appear for the following week. This app irks me so bad to use that I pretty much skip the Lowe’s Foods ads.
I actually like the new app. But I can to chat with customer service twice today in order to complete the order. First it wouldn’t let me choose delivery. Then it wouldn’t allow me to checkout. Both had to be done by them. I’ve never had this problem before. I closed and reopened the app several times. I rebooted my IPad. Both my iPad and the app are up to date. Please check this out.
I always get a “technical difficulties try again later” message. The store checkout recognizes my account, but I am not able to use any points in the gas station, nor can I order online. I have emailed the company and talked w customer service for an hour. I have removed and downloaded the app several times in past weeks. Bc I can’t access the app I can’t sign out or create a new account. It’s been a time- and points-eating disaster.
I don’t really understand what the goal here was. You can’t open the app from the downloaded app on your phone, it forces you to open it from the App Store which takes you back to the downloaded app which tells you to go back to Apple Store…. When the app does work it’s clunky, poorly organized, and doesn’t seem to allow you to link to your specific store.
I loaded the new app & because I am legally blind (visually impaired) it’s impossible to read with the small, light colored font. I cannot “starch” it to make it larger & the app does not fill my iPad screen whether landscape or portrait. I wish that all of the app designers would keep visually impaired people in mind. Hooray for them if they have great eyesight, but it doesn’t help me to be able to use this app. A very big disappointment! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
I can log in on the website, but the app won't let me log in. It doesn't even ask for a password - I put my email address in, and it asks for the phone number associated with my account, and then it asks me to pick from 2 accounts, then asks me to put my email in again, then tells me my email is wrong. JUST LET ME ENTER MY 🤬 PASSWORD!!!! this is on my iPad. If the iPhone app ever logs me out and I can’t log back in, I’m never shopping here again.
I pretty much like the app, making a list, seeing the prices etc, but what I don’t like is I have to remove the items from the list instead of being able to check it off and still see the items. Makes it hard at checkout when trying to make sure the items prices are correct.
This app is poor. It asks me to check if I want the item added to my list after I have checked to add it to my list, makes me go back to the first page after I check that o do indeed want to add that item to my lost, and does not add digital coupons of items I want to my list. It is poor use of my time. Lowe’s need to look at Publix’ online app and see how easy it is to make a grocery list out.
The old app used to let me search items I previously bought, which made building an order quick and easy. Now I have to search and filter through a long list of irrelevant items just to re-stock on my regular staples. Overall a much more frustrating experience that’s making me re-think using Lowes Foods to-go and instead move to other grocery stores.
This new app is basically just for pickup or delivery. The in store list part of the old app was so easy to use and was a huge help in my weekly grocery trips! The list function on this new app doesn’t even organize the food by section for me so I spent way more time than necessary searching through my list. If you brought back the in store list function, I’d love this app!
Or am I missing it. Do my coupon/list building on tablet, then was hosed at the store because it wasn’t on my phone. I didn’t use the previous app so I dunno about all the other comparisons/complaints but a shared/common list between devices sure would be handy.
I used my old Lowe’s foods app for several years with no problem. As soon as the “update” occurred, I have consistently gotten a “sorry - something went wrong. Try again later” message. I have tried deleting and reinstalling, I have called technical services without success. I am very unhappy since I have enjoyed Lowe’s to Go and all the amazing people at my local Lowe’s foods.
The app is for more than Lowes to Go shopping. The title does not let you know that. Sometimes looking for items or prices does not mean you want to use the Lowes to Go.
Nothing was wrong with the old app. This new one is garbage. Previous orders are hard to find. Sorting through categories now is terrible. You used to could pull up the deli, select a certain meat and there it was. Now when you select turkey for example it’s shows turkey products throughout the whole store even in the deli category.
I’ve been in a looping Twilight Zone for the past hour. I created a new account, but haven’t been able to use it since I’m sent to the ‘create a new account screen’ every time I click the ‘sign in or create a new account’ screen. I’ve played along and recreated the account a few times, but I give up. Frustrating!!
No notice before killing old app, then this one is titled “Lowes to go” giving the impression that this is only for on line shopping. Regular ads and store/product info is on this app as well. A better title would’ve helped to insure downloading the correct one.
W been having a problem with the app for over a month now and I taken and removed it and reinstalled it two times and I still get a message that they are having technical difficulties try to reconnect later but still it will not work on my apple phone.
Am I missing something or is this one of the rare apps that does not have finger print id login? Given as often as the app dumps you out seemingly when you arrive at a register and you have to sign in to the app to get to your rewards card it would nice to have a finger print login on the iOS system. 😡
I really hate using this app! The tiny keyboard is nearly impossible to use. If not fixed so that normal-sized fingers can comfortably type on it within the very near future, I’ll switch to Harris-Teeter. Also, why - in this day and age - didn’t Lowes Foods upgrade it so that it displays full screen on iPads and other tablets. Get with it, Lowes Foods!
Previous app wasn’t great. But this is even worse. Why is it so small. Really hard to find what you are looking for. And how about a picture of item. Don’t use it much anymore and not shopping at Lowe’s as much either. Weekly sale ads difficult to view.
I now have to scroll through dozens of digital coupons to find the beer & wine. Please bring back a separate sub category for them. The booze deals are the only thing that keep me coming in every week, if it’s difficult I’ll go elsewhere where produce is affordable. Thanks.
It’s definitely different from the old app which was very simple to use. I can’t find my fuel points anywhere on the new app, how am i supposed to track that?? If they fix that then it might be okay but so far not loving it.
App generally is not as good as last which i wish they would have left alone. Now i cant load coupons and it errors out. Not missing out on discounts so not shopping again till this is fixed.
Love Lowes, but hate the new app. It is not user friendly and difficult to navigate. It is also slow to load and the text is really small. I have tried to submit my order multiple times and it says it can’t be processed at this time. If it ain’t broke…
The old app made it easy to quickly make a grocery list. This new version is heavily skewed towards customers creating a cart for pickup or delivery. It will take longer to make a grocery list than to actually go in the store and buy stuff. Fail.
Does “updated redirects” in the app update description reflect the cause of the app not working with my vpn enabled? Just showed errors when I was in-store today until I disabled my vpn. This is clearly undesirable behavior; using a vpn for security purposes while in-store is a good idea.
Can’t add Lowe’s rewards card to Apple Wallet. App only works part of the time, but mostly doesn’t work when I’m in the store trying to show my card from within the app. Have to take photo of card for clerk to scan. Not very user friendly.
I’m so disappointed. The other app was much easier to use. I’m unable to add notes to each item like I could with the old app. I can’t get the things I used to order to come up. Very frustrating!
I really miss the functionality of the old app. This one always logs me out and is hard to create/manage the cart. Should have just given the old app the new colors if that was the end goal. Really pointless, not an upgrade at all.
App is showing my old email address no longer associated with my account. Can’t place order online. Won’t accept payment methods, can’t update profile, have had to sign in 4 times. This is a mess.
