The app has some stuttering performance on an iPhone 15 pro max. The rewards screen barely scrolls, the action is so jagged and rough. Speaking of the rewards screen, this is yet another app that isn’t taking advantage of apple wallet passes. I hate having to use an app at checkout, sign in (because of course I’m signed out mysteriously when I actually need to use the app), fumble though to find the rewards screen and then present it for scanning. It is just so much easier to use the Wallet app, my membership card and payment cards are right there without any hassle.

The only reason I am using the app is because I want to take advantage of the rewards points. But if there was any better app, I would totally use it. First of all signing in is an absolute horror and the customer service part doesn’t even work. I tried to change my password, which that feature doesn’t even work. The whole thing honestly is feeling super super inconvenient and very counterproductive. I would not recommend this app if you don’t need it I hope they actually update some stuff and make the change password/forget password work. In general this whole system does not work good Luckys should do better, if they don’t, Im strongly thinking about just deleting. if they were to do some updates and make it actually work smoothly and make signing in easier then I would be very happy. Another thing I think that they would benefit from is if they did use Apple wallet I feel like that would make it even better but as long as it works smoothly that’s my main issue. I’m scared to get locked out of my own account that I just made. Till then this in infuriates me…

The whole app is a ploy to defraud users. They advertise coupons in ad. You clip the coupons. The coupons never make it to you “clipped coupon” folder. They’re just added to a list. You have to go into the coupons section, dig through hundreds of bad deals to find the one you wanted, clip it there, then go to rewards - clipped items to make sure because they still don’t show up half the time. Then when you go to the store, you have to be super vigilant because the checkers know this to be the case and are abused about it all day and just want to get you out as soon as possible before you complain that the app coupons don’t work. The whole thing is a scam and generally a waste of time. But lucky is so expensive it’s only worth going for their top coupons anyway.

Really! Learned of “digital couponing” while in the store and spent no less than 30 minutes establishing an account. Although the clerk at the register had the app, she was unable to determine why my account wouldn’t activate. . . Issues with in-store connectivity? The account was finally established. The clerk put in my phone number. Yeah, it was there and so was the discount BUT, the coupon wasn’t shown as “clipped”. Seriously! With all the hassle, I asked the clerk if I could just get the discount. Answer. . . no. I’ll be taking a break from Lucky’s. To go into the store and see discounts I may or may not be able to take advantage of when I check out is not a discount, it’s a freakin’ headache. I’d rather pay full price elsewhere.

I use my iPhone to find exceptional deals on the weekly ad at Lucky’s. It is now virtually impossible to easily read the weekly ad. It’s too small and can’t be magnified. I had no trouble before the change. M. Neale

I’m not seeing any digital coupons. There is a header that says digital coupons with a little link. When I press the button all I get is spinning circles. Please don’t tell me you are expecting me to scan QR codes in the store to get digital coupons! Those aisles are crowded enough. I can’t imagine people coming around me with their carts mom while I’m trying to focus on the darn thing. Most stores don’t have signals anyway. The buildings blocked them. To summarize- 1.) Where in the app are the digital coupons? 2.) There’s no way I can scan these things while in the store. What are you thinking?

Horrible idea. Digital coupons, app coupon clipping, phone #s, logins at the register, it’s all a stupid waste of time. I avoid buying at Lucky unless the discounts are so good I am willing to deal with the wasted time and pain at the register. Lucky would do themselves a favor by simple having lower regular prices and perhaps simple sales discounts. Get rid of the digital stuff, the Pick 5, the buy 2 get one, etc. Just retail or sales discount. As to this app, it is glitchy, logins fail at times, even had to reestablish my entire account while holding up the register for 30 minutes of more. I’ll use it on occasion but the deal has to be really really worth it.

There are way too many “if you do this you’ll get this”. And I hate their website. If I click on the ad paper then go to an ad it freezes my phone and I can’t get out of it unless I uninstall reinstall. For example this week there is Dannin Tillamook or Chobani 10 for 10. I clicked on it to read the description. It took up the whole page and gave me no way to get out except reinstall. I called your offices to find a solution and some smart…. Asked me what kind of phone I had. When I answered Apple 13. He didn’t have a solution. Hate this kind of business dealings, very frustrating and made me willing to go to Safeway.

This app turned a 10 minute grocery excursion into a 90 minute exercise in frustration. Could not locate items on the app, neither could the store employee. Some sale items are digital, others aren’t. Digital items need to be selected on the app, if you can find them. If you don’t select it on the app then you don’t get the sale price; even though you provide your member ID (phone number) at checkout. IMO if you provide your member ID, you should get all sales prices, without selecting anything in the app. Very clunky. Not intuitive. Simply awful.

Can’t login with my ID when I try to login it requires me to check every box and I’m not an employee so why would I check that I am but it’s required it demands I use my mobile number most likely so they may sell it I guess landlines aren’t as easy to profit from since you can’t data mine then. Disappointed they’ve resorted to this to make more money just when I started using them over Safeway but at least Safeway aka Albertsons while greedy and wasteful they don’t try to pretend to be some else.

It appears to be a front for Instacart — but Lucky sales prices are not necessarily what you pay on Instacart. Eventually I figured out how to make a shopping list, but wait! You can’t specify the number of items to buy. We have three adults contributing to the shopping list so are we expected to use telepathy? Well Lucky’s, back to shopping at Raleys, even though we will have to drive a bit to get there. Sheesh

I have tried setting up an account 6 or 7 times, using 2 different email accounts and get an error message that my email is not a valid email (it certainly is) or or the password is wrong. Or I get to the end of the sign up and it says something went wrong, try again. I’ve tried setting a new password, failed. I hate this app and I hate that you have to sign in to an account just to get the coupons! I give up and am deleting the app.

I called customer service when I saw my app wasn’t working, and they said it’s “down” and has been for months. Which I personally can attest it’s been at least a few weeks for me. To get the notifications about new offers and free deals and be unable to even connect to the app to get those deals is extremely frustrating. Some stores are pretty terrible to work for as well, depending on the manager and/or “owner”.

Every time there’s a special coupon and freebies the app won’t load or kick you out I won’t let you sign back in. It’s the same for Lucky and FoodMaxx. It’s not right because you get to the grocery store and they won’t honor it. Then as I’m trying to write a review is asking for a nickname and everything I choose even made up stuff is taken so I can’t move forward with this bad rating.

This app is worse than the original one. It’s really useless - can’t access digital coupons much less clip them. I select a store and I get stuck in this endless sign in loop that keeps asking for a delivery address. I shop so rarely at this store that I don’t want or need delivery. This company needs to hire people who know about grocery shopping and how to present the info in a better format. It’s a total waste of time.

Don’t bother trying to use this app for downloading the sales items or for making a list. It has so many malfunctions that it’s essentially unusable! I have been avoiding this store and shopping at the other reputable stores instead. The employees don’t seem to have any understanding of how it works and frankly couldn’t care less either. They must have imbeciles attempting to run this worst app ever!

Unable to sign up. It won’t accept the password generated by the generator because it has lame restrictions. So I typed in a password that is only 9 characters with one of each required type. I tried changing the length within the limits but keeps saying it is too long. For now I’ll shop on other apps.

The app lets you make shopping list from the weekly ads, great! but you won’t get any sale price unless you go to the coupon section of the app to find those items to “clip” -so you need to make a a shopping list and a coupon list separately? So time consuming, might as well bring the physical ad and clip the paper coupons.

I often use this app and it's really very useful, so I give it 5 stars, but it seems to me that it's time to update the visual design of this application.

I haven’t shopped in the store since the app was updated. I can no longer create a new list nor can I add to or view an existing list from the website. Plus there’s the coupon issue. Why would you make your app less user friendly than a previous version. I won’t shop there until I’m able to create and use a list to shop.

I had major problems just logging in. Lucky’s doesn’t offer technical support phone # for me/us to ask questions. I entered my email address dozens of times. App rejected it and said email address is invalid. Then continually I can’t even create an account. I can’t take advantage of the digital coupons. Safeway app is better

Just tried to use app for a pickup order. It knows my location. It can only find stores 30 to 40miles away from my location. I think it’s setup for Instacart deliveries because it has no problem having an order delivered to my correct location. It’s worthless to me to use for a simple pickup order.

This app never works. I have reset my password nearly every time I try to use this app because it tells me it’s wrong. I now have four accounts! And none of them work! They are all saved in my keychain, so I know I have used them before. So long SaveMart supermarkets, your app is not worth my time. I will shop elsewhere.

Please keep luckys shopping experience SIMPLE!!!!!!!! No more ridiculous sales promos!!!!! Just good prices and beautiful produce and solid service makes happy customers !

An email address consists of a local-part (part to left of @) and a list of domains following the @. This app only allows simple email addresses of the form [email protected]. Not everyone has email addresses of that form. I don’t. Mine happens to look like [email protected]. Bottom line, I CAN’T REGISTER! Such email addresses result in an error message from the app (“Something went wrong”) when I attempt to use my desired address to sign up. If you are going to accept email addresses then you should accept the full syntax. For starters I suggest you look at Wiki for “email address syntax”.

App keeps telling me I need to create an account. When I do it doesn’t recognize my email. It keeps asking me to signup. Why does a shopping app have to be so complicated? I prefer Safeway. It’s straightforward just the way it should be. If I could give 0 stars for the Lucky app, I would. I just deleted it. A total waste of time.

The app is easy to use and saves money. No more paper coupons or receipts I have to keep track of.

Good luck trying to set up your account. It is design to take your email and that is it. You answer all the app question and when you sign in there is an error message. Customer support call center does not pick up and email service is slow.

I have iPhone 15. I open the app to clip the coupon. It temporarily shows as a green check mark. I back out of the page, go back in, and it has become unchecked. The coupon does not stay clipped. Who designed and programmed this because this is really bad coding.

Rollout has been terrible. I downloaded the app, signed up for an account and I’m still not getting the digital coupon discounts! I even asked an employee “what am I not doing right”. They could not explain it.

I’m not coming back to buy groceries you’ve wasted 20 minutes of my life I’ll never get back. If I return to lucky I will only be shoplifting and never buy again. I’m going to steal from you now. Anon

Wouldn’t it make sense to list the purchased items of your customers on top of the rewards chart…?

Every time I try logging on to my account it keeps saying failed, try again! Even when I changed my password to try to log in fresh still I kept getting an error message.

First time buyer, decided to get the app to get some discounts, but it seems like the account doesn’t even activate or allow a password reset. Just says “Something went wrong”, more like everything went wrong.

Why create an app for grocery shopping if you can not create a shopping list to go buy products there? Lucky s ‘shop’ menu only slows for ‘Instacart’. For this reason, though the app looks great, it’s a shopping application deemed USELESS!

Requests email and personal info then does not even create account after I provided everything. Of course, this prevents access to the store's special prices which is the main benefit of the app

You guys just updated the app a week ago but I signed up and then when I try to login it says I’m not found and then I tried calling you guys for tech-support and nobody got to the phone

Impossible to clip or find digital coupons , even store members can’t figure these coupons out thus wasting time and delaying other customers time too at checkout

I set up a account login something went wrong. Let’s try to reset my password to see if I can login something went wrong. Call customer service disconnect all the time.

Often unreliable or even completely unusable. It’s odd that they can’t or won’t make it more stable and useful.

Store said there was a coupon off some chips if I downloaded it. No coupon to be found. Garbage, just an app used to collect your data and sell it.

So I saw this digital coupon only deal at the store, so I download the clipping as per store fine print on the price tag. Go to checkout and no deal even with staff helping me. Major fail.

I was in the store & tried to get grapes on sale for $2.99 but couldn’t because something went wrong with the App on my phone so lucky couldn’t sell me the grapes & lost a customer 😩

Makes me want to shop elsewhere due to how bad this was executed. In line today and everyone having trouble with this dumb digital coupon program.

Hard to search. Cannot find the same digital coupons as the print ad.

Can’t even create a login with my email address. You can only use the digital coupons if you create an account. Totally ridiculous app. Fail. Returning to Costco and Trader Joe’s for my groceries.

Terrible app. The coupons don’t stay clipped. I have lost lots of time trying to clip coupons. No customer service and no help at the store!!

I can’t add the list or coupon it’s too bad to shop with this app lucky supermarket customer support need to fix this if not you will lose a lot of customers
